Had the first day of our Circuit's Regional Convention today here in Adelaide, South Australia (at our Assembly Hall........much more comfortable that the Adelaide Entertainment Centre); just about to download the video from last years convention that the brothers said was available

Our lips should make public declaration to Jehovah’s holy name. Deaf brothers and sisters use sign language to render such praise to God. Housebound Christians praise him by letter writing, telephone witnessing, and preaching to attendants and visitors. Our sacrifice of praise—our giving praise to Jehovah by making known his name and proclaiming the good news—should be commensurate with our health and ability. It ought to be our best. (Rom. 12:1; 2 Tim. 2:15) Our sacrifices of praise are personal offerings voluntarily made to God because we love him. (Matt. 22:37, 38) You surely want your sacrifices of praise to be acceptable to Jehovah. If we ponder over what the Bible says about Jehovah’s interactions with his faithful servants of the past, we will learn countless wonderful things about our God. I find, the face is looking different on your pic...  the eyes, cheeks and mouth, or not ? But the shoes and socks are similar !  Sorry, that he is dead now ;-(

Can we get some clarity on this? Maybe more information on the brother in the picture who you tell us was a missionary and died in Sep 2014.

The talk advertised "The Kingdom of God is Nigh" was given at the Assembly in1944, much later than 1930. 

As you can see in the attached photo here,  this seems  to be the same little brother with a book released that same year 1944, "The Kingdom is at Hand".

Any further detail would be much appreciated.

We  have  2016  the  hottest  September  *ever*  in  GERMANY !   Normal  its  autumn  now,  but  we  have  more  than  30  degrees  C.  -   thats  like  hot  summer  here...   Hahaha....  crazy  kuddel - muddel  weather  ;o)   but  nice  for  my  Camping,  WOW !!

AN ALLE VERSAMMLUNGEN
Erdbeben in Mittelitalien

Liebe Brüder,
wir schreiben euch aufgrund des heftigen Erdbebens, das in den vergangenen Tagen einige Gemeinden Mittelitaliens zerstört hat.
Wir möchten euch mitteilen, dass es keine Todesopfer noch Schwerverletzte unter den Brüdern gegeben hat. Der Königreichssaal von Offida wurde erheblich beschädigt und ist nicht mehr zugänglich. Die Ortsversammlung ist derzeit in einem anderen Königreichssaal untergebracht. Einige Häuser von Brüdern sind zerstört worden, andere wurden beschädigt. Alle Ältesten haben das entgegengebrachte Interesse und die Tatsache geschätzt, dass sich das Zweigbüro gleich nach dem ersten Beben mit ihnen in Verbindung gesetzt hat, um sich zu vergewissern, ob es allen Brüdern gut geht. Die örtlichen Ältesten haben die Suche nach Brüdern und Schwestern eingeleitet, welche sich gerade im Urlaub befanden und möglicherweise in Krankenhäuser eingeliefert wurden.
Den Ältesten wurden klare Anweisungen gegeben, wie sie sich um die geistigen Bedürfnisse der Brüder kümmern können. Die Kreisaufseher wurden angewiesen, in die betroffenen Gebiete zu reisen, um die Brüder persönlich zu besuchen und auferbauende Vorträge zu halten (2. Kor. 1:3, 4). Im Erdbebengebiet wurde bereits am Samstag, den 27. August mit der besonderen Aktion zur Verbreitung des Wachtturm Nr. 5 mit dem Thema Trost begonnen. An der Aktion nehmen auch eigens aus Aquila angereiste Brüder teil, die das Erdbeben von 2009 überlebt hatten.
Einige Mitglieder des Zweigkomitees haben die Versammlung von Ascoli Piceno besucht und ermuntert, da diese das Predigtgebiet in der vom Erdbeben betroffenen Zone betreut. Wir fahren fort zu Jehova zu beten, sodass er die vom Erdbeben betroffenen Brüder weiterhin beschützt und stärkt.
Uns haben viele Anfragen von Brüdern erreicht, welche den Wunsch geäußert haben, denjenigen finanzielle Hilfe zu leisten, die aufgrund des Erdbebens Schäden erlitten haben. Wenn ihr mit einer Spende helfen möchtet, erinnern wir euch an den Königreichsdienst von November 2005, wo es auf Seite 2 heißt: „[Es] wäre … gut, wenn Spenden ohne Einschränkungen bezüglich Ort und Verwendungszweck gegeben würden. [Wir] empfehlen …, durch Spenden das weltweite Werk zu unterstützen. Wenn wir unsere Spenden dem weltweiten Werk zuführen, stehen mehr Geldmittel zur Verfügung, die in Verbindung mit vielen Bereichen des Königreichspredigtwerks verwendet werden können.“ Bitte beachtet, dass im Moment kein Bedarf an Lebensmitteln, Kleidung oder anderen Gegenständen besteht. Sollte in Zukunft Bedarf in dieser Hinsicht bestehen, werdet ihr umgehend davon unterrichtet.

A TUTTE LE CONGREGAZIONI IN ITALIA
Oggetto: Terremoto nel Centro Italia

Cari fratelli,
Vi scriviamo in relazione al violento terremoto che nei giorni scorsi ha distrutto alcuni comuni del Centro Italia.
Desideriamo comunicarvi che tra i fratelli non ci sono stati feriti gravi né vittime. La Sala del Regno di Offida è stata seriamente danneggiata e non è più agibile. La congregazione locale al momento è ospitata in un’altra Sala del Regno. Alcune case di proprietà di fratelli sono andate distrutte, mentre altre hanno subìto danni. Tutti gli anziani hanno apprezzato l’interessamento e il fatto che, dopo la scossa iniziale, la filiale si sia messa prontamente in contatto con loro per sapere se i fratelli stavano bene. Gli anziani locali si sono attivati per la ricerca di eventuali fratelli e sorelle che erano in vacanza e che potevano essere stati ricoverati in ospedale.
Sono state date agli anziani specifiche direttive su come prendersi cura dei fratelli sul piano spirituale. I sorveglianti di circoscrizione sono stati incaricati di recarsi nelle zone colpite per visitare personalmente i fratelli e pronunciare discorsi incoraggianti (2 Corinti 1:3, 4). Nella zona colpita dal terremoto, sabato 27 agosto si è dato inizio anticipato alla campagna speciale con la distribuzione della Torre di Guardia n. 5, che tratta l’argomento del conforto. Alla campagna stanno partecipando fratelli appositamente venuti dall'Aquila che sono sopravvissuti al terremoto del 2009.
Alcuni membri del Comitato di Filiale hanno visitato la congregazione di Ascoli Piceno, che cura il territorio della zona terremotata, e hanno fornito incoraggiamento. Non smettiamo di pregare Geova affinché continui a proteggere e rafforzare i fratelli colpiti dal sisma.
Abbiamo ricevuto molte domande da fratelli desiderosi di dare sostegno economico a chi ha subìto danni a causa del terremoto. Se desiderate offrire il vostro aiuto attraverso una contribuzione, vi ricordiamo che nell’edizione del Ministero del Regno del novembre 2005, a pagina 2, si legge: “Si raccomanda che le donazioni per scopi umanitari e le operazioni di soccorso siano fatte al fondo per l’opera mondiale. Questo fondo può essere usato sia per gli aiuti umanitari che per soddisfare i bisogni spirituali della fratellanza cristiana. Se per qualche ragione qualcuno desidera fare una donazione per le attività di soccorso separatamente dalle contribuzioni per l’opera mondiale, sarà comunque accettata e impiegata in situazioni in cui c’è bisogno di aiuti umanitari. È preferibile però che tali donazioni vengano fatte senza specificare dove e come devono essere utilizzate”. Tenete presente che al momento non esiste il bisogno di donare cibo, vestiario o altri articoli. In futuro, qualora dovesse sorgere tale necessità, sarete informati prontamente.
