Στο πρώτο ιεραποστολικό ταξίδι του Παύλου με τον Βαρνάβα, ο Μάρκος ήταν “υπηρέτης” τους, φροντίζοντας πιθανώς για τις ανάγκες τους. Ωστόσο, όταν έφτασαν στην Παμφυλία, ξαφνικά τους εγκατέλειψε. Αναγκάστηκαν να ταξιδέψουν προς τα βόρεια μόνοι τους, διασχίζοντας μια περιοχή διαβόητη για τους κακοποιούς που υπήρχαν σε αυτήν. (Πράξ. 13:5, 13) Προφανώς, όμως, ο Βαρνάβας δεν στάθηκε στην αναξιόπιστη συμπεριφορά του Μάρκου και αργότερα, όταν του δόθηκε η ευκαιρία να ολοκληρώσει την εκπαίδευση του Μάρκου, την άδραξε αμέσως. (Πράξ. 15:37-39) Αυτό βοήθησε εκείνον τον νεαρό να γίνει ώριμος υπηρέτης του Ιεχωβά. Αξίζει να σημειωθεί πως, όταν ο Παύλος ήταν φυλακισμένος στη Ρώμη, ο Μάρκος βρισκόταν μαζί του, και μάλιστα έστειλε και αυτός χαιρετισμούς στους Χριστιανούς της εκκλησίας των Κολοσσών. Ο δε Παύλος μίλησε ευνοϊκά για αυτόν. (Κολ. 4:10) Φανταστείτε τι ικανοποίηση πρέπει να ένιωσε ο Βαρνάβας όταν ο ίδιος ο Παύλος ζήτησε τη βοήθεια του Μάρκου!—2 Τιμ. 4:11. w14 15/6 4:13

During Paul’s first missionary journey with Barnabas, Mark served as an “attendant,” perhaps caring for their physical needs. However, when they reached Pamphylia, Mark suddenly left his companions in the lurch. They had to travel without him north through an area notorious for bandits. (Acts 13:5, 13) Apparently, though, Barnabas saw past Mark’s inconsistent behavior and later seized the opportunity to complete his training. (Acts 15:37-39) This helped the young man to become a mature servant of Jehovah. Interestingly, Mark was in Rome with Paul, who was then imprisoned, and joined in sending greetings to the Christians in the Colossian congregation, and the apostle spoke favorably of him. (Col. 4:10) Imagine the feeling of satisfaction that Barnabas must have had when Paul even requested Mark’s assistance.—2 Tim. 4:11. w14 6/15 4:13

Doch der Bruder, der uns verletzt hat, erhält Vorrechte in der Versammlung und ist anscheinend gut angesehen. „Wie kann das sein?“, mögen wir uns fragen. „Übersieht das Jehova? Unternimmt er denn nichts?“ (Ps. 13:1, 2; Hab. 1:2, 3). Wir könnten meinen, der andere hätte die Hauptschuld. Doch Jehova sieht die Sache vielleicht anders. Von seinem Standpunkt aus tragen wir vielleicht mehr Schuld, als uns bewusst ist. Die verletzende Bemerkung könnte in Wirklichkeit ein wohlverdienter Tadel gewesen sein, über den wir nachdenken sollten. w14 15. 4. 5:10, 12-14

(Παρ. 3:6) Μερικές φορές, όμως, μια δοκιμασία φαίνεται να επιμένει. Ίσως βιώνετε κάποια οδυνηρή σύγκρουση προσωπικοτήτων με κάποιον μέσα στην εκκλησία. Whenever we need guidance, we can “take notice of” Jehovah by consulting his Word to find out his view of matters and by seeking to apply Bible principles. (Prov. 3:6) Sometimes, though, a trialsome situation lingers. You may have a grievous personality conflict with someone in the congregation. For instance, you may be hurt by a remark that you consider to be unkind. Yet, the brother who made the remark receives privileges in the congregation and seems to be well-thought-of by others. ‘How can this be?’ you wonder. ‘Does Jehovah not see? Will he not act?’ (Ps. 13:1, 2; Hab. 1:2, 3) While you may feel that the other party bears most of the blame, God may view things differently. From his standpoint, you may be more at fault than you realize. The comment that you considered to be so hurtful may, in fact, have been well-deserved counsel that you ought to give thought to. w14 4/15 5:10, 12-14

Das Predigen der guten Botschaft trägt zur Heiligung des Namens Gottes bei. Bestimmt ist es ein unschätzbares Vorrecht, mit der „herrlichen guten Botschaft des glücklichen Gottes“ betraut zu sein (1. Tim. 1:11). Gott möchte, dass wir zu ihm halten, immer seine Organisation unterstützen und dadurch geistig gesund bleiben. Moses sagte zu den Israeliten: „Ich nehme heute tatsächlich die Himmel und die Erde als Zeugen gegen euch, dass ich dir Leben und Tod vorgelegt habe, den Segen und den Fluch; und du sollst das Leben wählen, damit du am Leben bleibst, du und deine Nachkommen, indem du Jehova, deinen Gott, liebst, indem du auf seine Stimme hörst und indem du fest zu ihm hältst; denn er ist dein Leben und die Länge deiner Tage, damit du auf dem Boden wohnst, den Jehova deinen Vorvätern Abraham, Isaak und Jakob geschworen hat, ihnen zu geben“ (5. Preaching the good news contributes to the sanctification of Jehovah’s holy name. And it surely is an inestimable privilege to be entrusted with “the glorious good news of the happy God.” (1 Tim. 1:11) God wants us to maintain good spiritual health by sticking to him and supporting his organization in its various activities. Moses told the Israelites: “I take the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you today that I have put life and death before you, the blessing and the curse; and you must choose life so that you may live, you and your descendants, by loving Jehovah your God, by listening to his voice, and by sticking to him, for he is your life and by him you will endure a long time in the land that Jehovah swore to give to your forefathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.” (Deut. 30:19, 20) Our life depends on doing Jehovah’s will, loving him, obediently listening to his voice, and sticking to him. w14 5/15 4:12, 13

Wir lassen besonders dadurch Liebe zu Gott, zu Christus und zu unserem Nächsten erkennen, dass wir die gute Botschaft vom Königreich predigen (Joh. 15:10; Apg. 1:8). Jesus hat nur eine verhältnismäßig kleine Anzahl Jünger beauftragt zu predigen, nämlich jene, denen er nach seiner Auferweckung erschien (Apg. 10:40-42; 1. Kor. 15:6). Doch alle treuen Jünger des 1. Jahrhunderts erkannten, dass dieser Auftrag auch ihnen galt, selbst wenn sie Jesus nicht persönlich gehört hatten (Apg. 8:4; 1. Pet. 1:8). Auch heute hat Jesus keinen der acht Millionen Königreichsverkündiger persönlich beauftragt. Dennoch erkennt jeder von ihnen seine Verpflichtung zu predigen an und bringt so seinen Glauben an Christus zum Ausdruck (Jak. 2:18). w15 15. 3. 4:14, 15

Because of the assassination in Munich, so many register with us. I wanted to give you some feedback. Today we had our regional convention in our convention hall, which is 700 meters from the  site  of  crime.  We went at 5:46pm with the subway of Congress home. 14 minutes later the attack a subway station was right on!  WE got  well  home !  However, even  200 brothers  still  in the hall, but these may not leave. Many brothers parked  exactly in this shopping center, where the stop was. We hope and pray that none of our brothers is concerned. We are all in a  state of shock.   ----   Pray for our brothers !!!

Approximately 150 brothers still sit firmly in the congress hall. In Feldmoching shots from automatic weapons have been reported.  Is a neighbor  place, Calvin, 4 km away from us  here. The brothers in the convention hall  making  ready  for  night  to stay there  now. From injured Bro. nothing is known, if so, we knew that already. I just  talked with a brother who was at the conference. Helicopter circling above us and it is lively in our area. Have got terror alert. We  made  an around  call  to  all  our congration  brothers  and  all  are  safe  at  home.

With  some  tricks,  the  18 year  old  boy  ordered  this  special  weapon  by  ebay....  Our  laws  in  Germany  now  still  more  stricter !  ( and  not  allow  everyone  a  weapon like  Mr.Trump  wants  that  for  USA...)  Thats  very  silly  and  more  dangerous !!

All of us are subject to “the law of the Christ.” (Gal. 6:2) That law includes all that Jesus taught. Foremost among Jesus’ teachings is that his followers should display love. (Acts 10:40-42; 1 Cor. 15:6) But all his faithful first-century disciples recognized that the command applied to them, even if they had not personally heard Jesus speak. (Acts 8:4; 1 Pet. 1:8) Likewise today, Jesus has not personally spoken to any of the eight million active Kingdom preachers. Die Koine oder die griechische Gemeinsprache förderte die Einheit und eine gute Kommunikation unter den Christenversammlungen des 1. Jahrhunderts. Damals war Griechisch weit verbreitet. So konnten sich Gottes Diener mit allen Arten von Menschen verständigen, was zur Verbreitung der guten Botschaft beitrug. Außerdem hatten in Ägypten lebende Juden die Hebräischen Schriften ins Griechische übersetzt. Die Menschen waren mit dieser Übersetzung, der Septuaginta, gut vertraut und die ersten Nachfolger Christi zitierten sie freimütig. Wie verwendeten die Christen die Schriften im Dienst? Schriftrollen waren unhandlich, da sie ab- und aufgerollt werden mussten und das Pergament im Allgemeinen nur auf einer Seite beschrieben war. Allein das Matthäusevangelium hätte eine komplette Schriftrolle gefüllt. Aber dann kam der Kodex — eine frühe Form des Buches. Er war eine Sammlung gebundener Seiten. Der Leser konnte ihn öffnen und einen Schrifttext leicht finden. w15 15. 2. 3:4, 11, 12

Πώς μπορούσαν οι Χριστιανοί να χρησιμοποιούν τις Γραφές στη διακονία τους; Οι ρόλοι ήταν δύσχρηστοι, εφόσον έπρεπε να τυλίγονται και να ξετυλίγονται, και το κείμενο συνήθως γραφόταν μόνο στη μία πλευρά της περγαμηνής. The common, or Koine, Greek language helped to promote good communication and unity among the early Christian congregations. Greek was widely spoken and understood. Thus, God’s servants could communicate with all kinds of people, and this contributed to the spread of the good news. Moreover, Jews living in Egypt had translated the Hebrew Scriptures into Greek. People were familiar with this Septuagint version, and the early followers of Christ quoted freely from it. How could Christians use the Scriptures in their ministry? Scrolls were cumbersome, for they had to be rolled and unrolled, and usually there was writing on only one side of the parchment. The Gospel of Matthew alone would fill an entire scroll. But then came the codex—the earliest form of a book. It was a collection of pages bound together. A reader could open a codex and easily locate a passage of Scripture. w15 2/15 3:4, 11, 12
