  1. What an interesting ‘discovery‘ A Biblical scholar discovered 1,000 manuscripts proving that the original Hebrew name for God is not Yahweh, as scholars believed, but is actually Yehovah. Nehemia Gordon and his team discovered the 1,000th manuscript containing the original Hebrew name of God, known as the Tetragrammaton, on Saturday, completing his effort to confirm it as Yehovah since discovering the first, previously untranslated Hebrew sources with that spelling in late 2016, according to Religion News Service. Scholars believed for 200 years that the name was spelled Yahweh, based on what they could glean from Greek texts and the fact that most Jewish texts only included the consonants, in part due to the ancient belief that GodÂ’s name is too sacred to be spoken. Prior to this, all scholars knew for sure was that the consonants were YHWH. Gordon began the project to find 1,000 Hebrew manuscripts containing the name Yehovah in February 2017, shortly after he discovered five Bible manuscripts containing the full spelling of the Tetragrammaton. The discoveries that followed included a full spelling in the Cairo Codex of the Prophets, written in 895 A.D., and full spellings in three manuscripts written with Babylonian vocalization — an ancient form of writing first invented in the 6th Century that adds vowels to Hebrew consonantal texts to ensure proper pronunciation. Gordon also discovered the full Tetragrammaton in two of the oldest Hebrew manuscripts of the Bible, which he found in the Russian National Library. Gordon studied at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where he earned a Masters Degree in Biblical Studies and a Bachelors Degree in Archeology. In addition to his work in discovering the Hebrew name of God, he has helped with translation of the Dead Sea Scrolls and other manuscripts written in ancient Hebrew. "Weather permitting, the West Coast, Alaska and Hawaii will have a spectacular view of totality from start to finish," said George Johnston, lunar blogger at NASA, in a press statement. "Unfortunately, eclipse viewing will be more challenging in the eastern time zone. The eclipse begins at 5.51 a.m. ET, as the moon is about to set in the western sky, and the sky is getting lighter in the east." The super blue moon lunar eclipse 2018 has been mapped by NASA

Vollmond in dunkelrotes Licht getaucht....
  10. THE BLUE BLOOD - MOON....    ENJOY The *blue super blood full moon* is approaching !  Updated on January 25, 2018, 10:03 pm At the beginning of January we were already able to admire a super full moon. But the highlight of the month is yet to come: On the 31st, there is another super full moon, which is also a blood moon & a blue moon. The year 2018 began with a super-full moon: on the night of January 2, the Earth's moon shone brighter and bigger than usual. But that was far from everything for this month. On the 31st of January, the moon will be waiting for almost every feature it has to offer. There is a blue super blood full moon darkness coming up. The night star then comes very close to the earth and therefore appears up to 14 percent larger from the ground. So it's a super moon again. Full moon bathed in dark red light.... At the same time, the earth pushes between the sun and the moon. The long-wave sunlight that streams past the earth bathes the moon in a dark red light. The phenomenon is called Blood Full Moon. And because it's the second full moon in a month, it's also called the blue moon. People can watch the spectacle directly, especially in North America, Australia, New Zealand and eastern Russia. In Europe it is bright daylight when the big moon spectacle takes place. Here, people have to be satisfied with media coverage. But that too could be worthwhile. Because all three events come together in one moment is extremely rare. According to NASA, the last time was more than 150 years ago.

  13. German bishops affirm: No re-translation of Our LORD'SÂ PRAYER.... Â Updated on January 25, 2018, 16:41 The Lord's Prayer remains unchanged.... German bishops oppose a change, as desired by Pope Francis. The Catholic bishops in Germany have spoken out against a new version of the translation of Our Lord's Prayer recently criticized by the Pope. After a discussion, they came to the opinion that the existing translation should be maintained, said the German Bishops' Conference on Thursday. "The request of Pope Francis accordingly" but should be increasingly set to clarify the background of the Lord's Prayer request in talks, discussions and texts. Pope: Not God, but Satan tempts people ! The discussion is about the prayer request "And do not tempt us". Pope Francis had said in an interview in early December that it was not God, but Satan, who tempted man. The translation "Let me not be tempted" would therefore be better. The chairman of the German Bishops' Conference, Cardinal Reinhard Marx, had already made it clear that he sees no need for change.
