Super Blue Blood Moon Eclipse: The rare lunar spectacle will be the first of its kind in 150 years
The different stages of the "super blue blood moon" on January 31 and "moonset" times for cities across the US.
"Weather permitting, the West Coast, Alaska and Hawaii will have a spectacular view of totality from start to finish," said George Johnston, lunar blogger at NASA, in a press statement. "Unfortunately, eclipse viewing will be more challenging in the eastern time zone.
The eclipse begins at 5.51 a.m. ET, as the moon is about to set in the western sky, and the sky is getting lighter in the east."

Der blaue BLUT - MOND...

Anfang Januar durften wir schon einen Super-Vollmond bestaunen.
Doch das Highlight des Monats steht noch bevor:
Am 31. gibt es einen weiteren Super-Vollmond, der auch noch ein Blutmond und ein blauer Mond ist.
Das Jahr 2018 begann schon mit einem Super-Vollmond: In der Nacht zum 2. Januar erstrahlte der Erdtrabant heller und größer als sonst. Doch das war noch längst nicht alles für diesen Monat. Am 31. Januar wartet der Mond fast mit allen Besonderheiten gleichzeitig auf, die er zu bieten hat.
Es steht nämlich eine blaue *Super-Blut-Vollmond-Finsternis* bevor.
Das Nachtgestirn kommt der Erde dann besonders nah und erscheint deshalb von der Erde aus gesehen um bis zu 14 Prozent größer.
Es ist also wieder ein Supermond. Vollmond in dunkelrotes Licht getaucht....
Gleichzeitig schiebt sich die Erde zwischen Sonne und Mond. Das langwellige Sonnenlicht, das an der Erde vorbeistrahlt, taucht den Mond in ein dunkelrotes Licht. Das Phänomen heißt Blutvollmond. Und weil es sich um den zweiten Vollmond in einem Monat handelt, spricht man außerdem vom blauen Mond.
Direkt beobachten können Menschen das Spektakel vor allem in Nordamerika, Australien, Neuseeland und im Osten Russlands. In Europa ist es helllichter Tag, wenn das große Mondspektakel stattfindet ~~~
Hier müssen sich die Menschen mit Medienübertragungen begnügen
Doch auch das könnte sich lohnen. Denn dass alle drei Ereignisse in einem Moment zusammentreffen, kommt äußerst selten vor.
Der NASA zufolge ist das letzte Mal schon mehr als 150 Jahre her !

German bishops affirm: No re-translation of Our LORD'SÂ PRAYER....

German bishops oppose a change, as desired by Pope Francis.
The Catholic bishops in Germany have spoken out against a new version of the translation of Our Lord's Prayer recently criticized by the Pope.
After a discussion, they came to the opinion that the existing translation should be maintained, said the German Bishops' Conference on Thursday. "The request of Pope Francis accordingly" but should be increasingly set to clarify the background of the Lord's Prayer request in talks, discussions and texts.
Pope: Not God, but Satan tempts people !The discussion is about the prayer request "And do not tempt us". Pope Francis had said in an interview in early December that it was not God, but Satan, who tempted man.
The translation "Let me not be tempted" would therefore be better. The chairman of the German Bishops' Conference, Cardinal Reinhard Marx, had already made it clear that he sees no need for change.

Nach einer Erörterung seien sie zu der Auffassung gelangt, dass die vorhandene Übersetzung beibehalten werden solle, teilte die Deutsche Bischofskonferenz am Donnerstag mit. "Dem Anliegen von Papst Franziskus entsprechend" solle aber verstärkt darauf gesetzt werden, den Hintergrund der Vaterunser-Bitte in Gesprächen, Diskussionen und Texten zu verdeutlichen.
Papst: Nicht Gott, sondern Satan führt Menschen in Versuchung !In der Diskussion geht es um die Gebetsbitte "Und führe uns nicht in Versuchung". Papst Franziskus hatte Anfang Dezember in einem Interview gesagt, es sei nicht Gott, sondern Satan, der den Menschen in Versuchung führe.
Die Übersetzung "Lass mich nicht in Versuchung geraten" träfe es daher besser. Der Vorsitzende der Deutschen Bischofskonferenz, Kardinal Reinhard Marx, hatte bereits deutlich gemacht, dass er keine Notwendigkeit für eine Veränderung sehe.
