Laughter is good for your health

Laughter  relaxes the whole body. A good, hearty laugh relieves physical tension and stress, leaving your muscles relaxed for up to 45 minutes after.

Laughter  boosts the immune system. Laughter decreases stress hormones and increases immune cells and infection-fighting antibodies, thus improving your resistance to disease.

Laughter  triggers the release of endorphins, the body’s natural feel-good chemicals. Endorphins promote an overall sense of well-being and can even temporarily relieve pain.

Laughter  may even help you to live longer. A study in Norway found that people with a strong sense of humor outlived those who don't laugh as much. The difference was particularly notable for those battling cancer.

Laughter  is a powerful antidote to stress, pain, and conflict. Nothing works faster or more dependably to bring your mind and body back into balance than a good laugh. Humor lightens your burdens, inspires hopes, connects you to others, and keeps you grounded, focused, and alert. It also helps you to release anger and be more forgiving.

With so much power to heal and renew, the ability to laugh easily and frequently is a tremendous resource for surmounting problems, enhancing your relationships, and supporting both physical and emotional health.

Así, también, se adornaban en otros tiempos las mujeres santas que esperaban en Dios, sujetándose a sus propios esposos (1 Ped. 3:5).

En la Noche de Adoración en Familia tratamos temas espirituales, y esto fortalece la unidad en casa. Si aprovechamos estas ocasiones para prepararnos bien para la predicación; seremos publicadores más hábiles. La familia se acerca más cuando se junta para hablar de la Palabra de Dios. Al fin y al cabo, todos aman al mismo Dios y quieren hacer su voluntad. ¿Y qué pueden hacer los matrimonios? Si los dos aman a Jehová y le sirven juntos fielmente, serán más felices y estarán más unidos. Además, deben seguir el ejemplo de Abrahán y Sara, de Isaac y Rebeca y de Elqaná y Ana, parejas que se demostraron cariño (Gén. 26:8; 1 Sam. 1:5, 8). Si el esposo y la esposa se esfuerzan por ser cariñosos, su matrimonio será más fuerte y se sentirán más cerca de Jehová (Ecl. 4:12). w16.03 3:12, 13

Take your stand against [Satan], firm in the faith.—1 Pet. 5:9.

Satan is at war with the anointed remnant and the “other sheep.” (John 10:16) The Devil’s goal is to devour as many of Jehovah’s servants as he can in the short time that he has left. (Rev. 12:9, 12) Can we win our fight against Satan? Yes! The Bible says: “Oppose the Devil, and he will flee from you.” (Jas. 4:7) Many scoff at the idea that Satan even exists. To them, Satan and the demons are fictional characters of novels, horror movies, and video games. Such people feel that no intelligent person believes in wicked spirits. Now, do you think that it bothers Satan that he and his invisible cohorts have been relegated to the world of folklore? That is not likely! After all, it is easy for Satan to blind the minds of those who doubt that he exists. (2 Cor. 4:4) Promoting the idea that spirits do not exist is one of the many ways that Satan uses to mislead people. w15 5/15 2:1, 2

During Family Worship sessions, we focus on spiritual matters, and this contributes to the unity of the family. Practicing for the field ministry can equip the family to be better prepared to preach effectively. And it is not hard to see that when members of a family share comments about God’s Word, they are drawn closer together—all love the same God and all are interested in doing his will. What can married couples do to cooperate to Jehovah’s praise? When both mates are faithful servants of Jehovah, they can rejoice in the unity that this affords them. Abraham and Sarah, Isaac and Rebekah, Elkanah and Hannah—all expressed their love for their mate. We should make it a point to do the same. (Gen. 26:8; 1 Sam. 1:5, 8) That will unite us with our mate and draw us closer to our heavenly Father.—Eccl. 4:12. w16.03 3:12, 13

He  was  building  a  HUGE  ship,  the  ark,  in  a  difficult  time  and  he  worked  it     WHAT  a  great  deed,  WOW !!   -   YES,  let  us  think  in  THIS  way...   and  being  grateful  for  all  his  wonderful  doings !!

Jehová conoce a la perfección nuestras limitaciones (Sal. 103:14). Él no espera que salgamos adelante solo con nuestras propias fuerzas; es nuestro Padre y nos ofrece su ayuda. Claro, habrá veces que sintamos que ya no podemos más. Pero Jehová nos asegura que si el problema es tan grande que no podemos soportarlo, nos dará una salida (1 Cor. 10:13). Él sabe lo que podemos y lo que no podemos aguantar. Confiemos en él. No se desespere si ve que la ayuda de Jehová no llega de inmediato. Recuerde que él desea venir en nuestro auxilio, pero espera con paciencia el mejor momento para darnos lo que necesitamos. Como dice el texto de hoy: “Jehová se mantendrá en expectación de mostrarles favor a ustedes, y por lo tanto se levantará para mostrarles misericordia. Ha jurado a lo que es malo para sí, y no obstante no lo altera (Sal. 15:4).

Saúl insistía en que Jonatán pensara en su futuro (1 Sam. 20:31). Pero en vez de ser egoísta y tratar de convertirse en el siguiente rey, Jonatán mantuvo su promesa de amistad a David y su lealtad a Jehová. Tal como Jonatán cumplió su promesa, nosotros debemos cumplir lo que prometemos. Por ejemplo, si hacemos un acuerdo de trabajo, tenemos que cumplirlo, aunque sea más difícil de lo que creíamos al principio. Cumpliremos nuestra palabra porque respetamos lo que dice la Biblia. Lo mismo sucederá si nuestro matrimonio no va tan bien como esperábamos. Seremos leales a nuestro esposo o esposa. Así demostraremos que amamos a Jehová (Mal. 2:13-16). También seamos leales a nuestros hermanos, aunque a veces cometan errores. Y, pase lo que pase, seamos siempre leales a Jehová. Así alegraremos su corazón y seremos felices (Prov. 27:11). Podemos estar seguros de que él siempre hará lo que sea mejor para nosotros y nos cuidará. w16.02 3:16, 17
