Queen Esther reacted to Queen Esther in Prof. Dr. Rechenberg of the Technical University of Berlin explains how the LOTUS EFFECT....
How  the  LOTUS - EFFECT  WORKS.....
Prof. Dr. Rechenberg of the Technical University of Berlin explains what it is exactly with the
    Lotus effect:
Hello, Professor Rechenberg. Would you explain to us as an expert how exactly the Lotus effect works?
What would happen if dust, dirt and liquids would not stick to surfaces? Dr.-Ing. Ingo Rechenberg, Professor of the Department of Bionics and Evolutionary Technology at the Technical University of Berlin, explains the nature of the nature of the Lotus leaf.
All liquids are eager to accept the smallest possible volume, ie the shape of a ball. The forces acting thereon are referred to as the surface tension of the liquid. If drops of the liquid hit the surface of the lotus leaves, the attracting forces cause the liquid to adhere to the respective surface. There are surfaces that strongly attract water molecules - also called hydrophilic surfaces - and those that repel the water (hydrophobic surfaces). The described attraction force is reduced by countless nubs of the leaf structure of the lotus plant.
A drop of water lies on the tops of these elevations, like a fakir on a nailboard. Between the individual elevations is air. As a result, a drop of water is even less attracted to the surface, is present only with the smallest surface area, flows off quickly and forms a small bead because of the surface tension. The drop does not flow! Due to the knurled structure, the dirt particles are also located with the smallest surface, so the attracting forces between the dirt and the blade are extremely small, which means that even hydrophobic dirt does not adhere to the sheet surface and can be transported by the draining water.
Are there other plants that exhibit these properties?
In addition to the Lotus plant, Kohlrabi also shows the effect of self-cleaning. At least during an early morning walk through the forest you can observe how dew settles on the leaves of various plants. In this case, the water droplets are already formed into a ball. As soon as the blade is at an angle, the drops peel off. And also in the animal kingdom there is this effect: One of the numerous examples here would be the feather dress of birds.
Transferred to Technology - Where Do You See the Possibilities and Limits of the Lotus Effect?
Ideal for the Lotus technology are surfaces that are exposed to rain. Here the self-cleaning is as easy as the natural model. The Lotus effect is used for wall paint, for example. But - and you should be aware of this - the effectiveness of the Lotus effect is not of infinite duration. The self-cleaning effect only functions for a certain period of time. The automotive industry also provides the Lotus effect with a large field of application, for example in the case of varnishes or car washing. But also here one must not forget to renew this effect again and again - as the lotus plant pretends. In this context I see a big problem, especially in insect flying. Due to the impact of beetles or mosquitoes, the surface structure and thus the lotus effect are destroyed successively.
Mr. Professor Dr. Rechenberg, would you give us a final view of what will be possible with the Lotus effect in the future?
As a bionic, I only observe the perfection of nature - what achievements it produces - and am willing to replicate it technically in collaboration with excellent engineers. Only the interaction of biology and technology has brought progress to man. Biology is usually the focus of attention. If the technique contributes its part, then "explosions" occur - as it was in the case of the lotus plant.
Thank you Mr. Professor Dr. Rechenberg for the elaborate explanation of the Lotus effect and the reason why it is so important to renew it again and again.
The low wettability of a surface, as can be observed in the lotus plant, is referred to as a lotose effect (incorrectly also often a lotus effect, which in this spelling has also been protected as a mark name). Water beads in drops and also carries all dirt particles on the surface. This is due to a complex micro- and nanoscopic architecture of the surface, which minimizes the adhesion of dirt particles.
Other plants, such as the nasturtium (Tropaeolum), reeds (Phragmites), cabbages (Brassica oleracea) or Aquilegia show this effect just like some animals (many insect wings). [1]
The self-cleaning capability of water-repellent micro-nanostructured surfaces was discovered in the 1970s and transferred to biomimetic technical products since the mid-1990s. These are marked by the industry with the brand name "Lotus effect".

Guten Tag, Herr Professor Dr. Rechenberg.

The righteous one will live by reason of faith.—Gal. 3:11.
We must never doubt that if we follow God’s direction, it will turn out for our good. It is vital that we put faith in the One who can really help. Paul reminds us that God is “the one who can, according to his power that is operating in us, do more than superabundantly beyond all the things we ask or conceive.” (Eph. 3:20) Jehovah’s servants do all they can to carry out the will of God, but knowing their limitations, they trust in Jehovah to bless the outcome. Are we not glad that our God is with us? Can we expect our requests for more faith to be answered? The Bible assures us that we can when “we ask according to [God’s] will.” (1 John 5:14) Clearly, Jehovah is pleased with those who put their complete trust in him. Jehovah will answer our request for more faith, and our faith will grow exceedingly, leading to our being “counted worthy of the Kingdom of God.”—2 Thess. 1:3, 5. w15 10/15 2:16-18

There will be no dew or rain except by my word !—1 Ki. 17:1.
In Israel’s early history, people had the opportunity to see and hear about how God acted in Israel’s behalf. Jehovah miraculously delivered his people out of Egypt, and then king after king fell before them. (Josh. 9:3, 9, 10) Israel’s opponents refused to acknowledge that God was fighting for Israel, and that led to their defeat. Later, wicked King Ahab had every opportunity to see God’s hand in events. Ahab saw fire come down from heaven when Elijah prayed for his offering to be consumed. Elijah then indicated that Jehovah would bring the drought they were experiencing to an end, telling Ahab: “Go down so that the downpour may not detain you!” (1 Ki. 18:22-45) Ahab saw all of this happen but still refused to acknowledge that it was a mighty display of God’s power. This and other examples teach us an important lesson—we must recognize Jehovah’s hand when it is in action. w15 10/15 1:4, 5

I well know, O Jehovah, that man’s way does not belong to him. It does not belong to man who is walking even to direct his step.—Jer. 10:23.
From the Bible we learn that humans are not created with the right of self-determination, to be independent of God, and that ignoring this fundamental truth will have sad consequences. This is critically important to our welfare. Only by recognizing GodÂ’s authority can we enjoy peace and harmony. How loving of Jehovah that he chooses to reveal this important truth! A loving father is deeply concerned about the future of his children, wanting them to have a real and meaningful purpose in life. Regrettably, most people are in the dark about the future, or they spend their life pursuing goals that bring no lasting benefits. (Ps. 90:10) As GodÂ’s children, we feel truly loved because Jehovah has promised us a wonderful future. That gives genuine meaning and purpose to our life. w15 9/15 4:10, 11

I was referring to the German language ... ( it was a joke..). I took about two months of German in High school, and had no talent whatsoever for learning a foreign language ... my Mother was one of identical twins and was almost telepathic, and I did not learn to talk until I started 1st grade in school.
There is an often used joke line in the USA when someone speaks or types in a foreign language, that when they do not understand ANY of it ... to make an astonished face, roll your eyes and say "Easy for YOU to say!", which in your case ... IS easy for you to say .... you speaking the German Language.
    Another joke goes like  ....
ME: "Well .. it's a good thing I was not born in Germany!"
SOMEBODY ELSE: " Oh! ... and WHY is it a good thing you were not born in Germany?"
    ME: " Because I CAN'T SPEAK GERMAN!"
