Mind your own business.—1 Thess. 4:11.
How can we show appropriate respect for those whom Jehovah chooses to anoint? We would not ask them personal questions about their anointing. We thus avoid meddling with what does not concern us. (2 Thess. 3:11) We should not assume that the parents, spouse, or other relatives of one of the anointed would also be anointed. Genetics or marriage play no part in the process. (1 Thess. 2:12) We should also resist the urge to quiz spouses of anointed ones about how they feel knowing that they will live without their mate in the future earthly Paradise. Rather than raise questions that may cause pain, all of us can have full confidence that Jehovah will open his hand and “satisfy the desire of every living thing.” (Ps. 145:16) Those who treat anointed Christians in a proper manner protect themselves from an insidious danger—“false brothers” who claim to be anointed.—Gal. 2:4, 5; 1 John 2:19. w16.01 4:10, 11

God’s original purpose was for mankind to live forever here on earth. (Gen. 1:28; Ps. 37:29) The selection of some to go to heaven to rule as kings and priests is not the norm. It is an exceptional arrangement. This calling causes a profound change in the thinking, outlook, and hope of a person when he is anointed. (Eph. 1:18) But how does a person know that he has the heavenly calling, that he has, in fact, received this special token? The answer is clearly seen in Paul’s words to the anointed brothers in Rome, who were “called to be holy ones.” He told them: “You did not receive a spirit of slavery causing fear again, but you received a spirit of adoption as sons, by which spirit we cry out: ‘Abba, Father!’” (Rom. 1:7; 8:15) Simply put, by means of his holy spirit, God makes it clear to that person that he is invited to become a future heir in the Kingdom arrangement.—1 Thess. 2:12. w16.01 3:8, 9

Well put and very true. Individuals who are proud, ambitious, want to be adored...do not have the humility to do that work and even when they do, everyone knows about it (whether by title or otherwise. That's where you find members of the "Secret Service.")               Thankfully we have many others - both pioneers and publishers - who are a joy to spend the days with and love being out in the ministry. .

Debemos tratar con el debido respeto a quienes Jehová ha elegido para que vayan al cielo. Una manera de hacerlo es evitando preguntarles cómo saben que son ungidos. No debemos meternos en asuntos ajenos (2 Tes. 3:11). No les preguntemos si su cónyuge o cualquier otro familiar también son ungidos, como si fuera algo que se heredara o se recibiera de alguien (1 Tes. 2:12). Jehová creó a los seres humanos para que vivieran eternamente en la Tierra (Gén. 1:28; Sal. 37:29). Elegir a algunos humanos para que vayan al cielo es la excepción, no la regla. Recuerden a los que están en prisión (Heb. 13:3).
Obviamente, Pablo no estaba hablando de cualquier preso, sino de los cristianos que estaban en la cárcel debido a su fe. Cuando les escribió a los hebreos, Pablo mismo llevaba unos cuatro años encerrado (Filip. 1:12-14). El apóstol los felicitó por condolerse “de los que estaban en prisión”, es decir, por ser compasivos con ellos (Heb. 10:34). Claro, ellos no pudieron ayudar personalmente a Pablo, pues estaba en Roma. Pero a pesar de ello, había algo que sí podían hacer por él: rogarle con insistencia a Dios que lo ayudara (Heb. 13:18, 19). Hoy día también hay cristianos en prisión. Los hermanos que viven cerca de ellos pueden prestarles ayuda, pero la mayoría estamos lejos. ¿Hay algo que podamos hacer? Sí, mencionarlos una y otra vez en nuestras oraciones. Esa es una manera de recordarlos y de mostrarles cariño y compasión. w16.01 1:13, 14

Keep in mind those in prison.—Heb. 13:3.
Paul was not here referring to just any type of prisoner. He was speaking about those brothers who were imprisoned for their faith. Paul himself had been in prison bonds for some four years by the time he penned those words to the Hebrew Christians. (Phil. 1:12-14) He commended the brothers for having “expressed sympathy for those in prison.” (Heb. 10:34) Those Hebrew Christians were physically separated from Paul. So how could they keep him in mind? They could do so by their fervent prayers in his behalf. (Heb. 13:18, 19) Today, we may likewise be separated physically from our brothers who have been thrown into prison. We may not be able to give them the practical help that is provided by the Witnesses who live near the prison. But we can show our sympathy and brotherly affection by constantly remembering these faithful ones and mentioning them in our prayers, pleading to Jehovah in their behalf. w16.01 1:13, 14

After chasing it for more than two years I was finally rewarded with two displays of Aurora Australis (Southern lights) within a week visible from Mornington peninsula, not far from Melbourne. The nights were warm an clear and the Moon was not in the sky either - I could not have asked for better conditions.
The red color of this aurora is caused by the charged particles from the Sun exciting oxygen atoms high in the Earth's atmosphere. Hopefully there will be more to come as Sun's activity increases in 2012-13.
Being able to photograph it all night I came up with a nice video. The brighter Aurora happened on January 22nd and the smaller one, featured in the middle section, was from January 16th, followed by a rather bright Moonrise.

Watching the Aurora Borealis dance across the night sky is an amazing experience. I have been fortunate enough to lead two Northern Lights Photography Workshops over the past couple of winters alongside my good friend Dr. Jim Halfpenny. I do not get to shoot a lot of photos while we are teaching so I have been learning to shoot time-lapse sequences. Often, I set my cameras up to shoot continuously and then I walk away hoping that I aimed them at the right part of the sky.
Processing each sequence, and then compiling the clips together, has taken me months but I am delighted with the results. A strong auroral display is a magnificent enchanting experience and time-lapse does a great job capturing the way that the Northern Lights continually shift and change throughout the night.
This short movie is made from thousands of digital camera raw files that were captured either with a Canon 5D Mk III or a Canon 7D. Each sequence was processed using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom and then converted to a video clip using the fantastic LrTimelapse software. (http://bit.ly/1kWgrYF) Ultimately, the clips were compiled together and finalized using Adobe Premiere CC.
My thanks to all the wonderful photographers who have made the long journey up to Churchill with me on the hopes that the skies will clear and the lights will shine. An enormous thank you to the wonderful staff and volunteers at the Churchill Northern Studies Centre for keeping us warm and happy. Most of all, a huge thank you to Jim Halfpenny for organizing and leading such wonderful expeditions to the far north.

We need time to meditate as we prepare to conduct a Bible study. With each student in mind, we might think of a viewpoint question or an illustration to help the student make progress. Time spent in this way can be most refreshing, as pondering over these things strengthens our own faith and helps us to conduct our Bible studies with greater effectiveness and enthusiasm. The same is true when we prepare our heart to go out in the field service. (Ezra 7:10) Reading a chapter from the Bible book of Acts will “stir up like a fire” our enthusiasm for the ministry. Meditating on Bible verses we intend to use that day and the publications we plan to offer will help us carry out our privilege of service. (2 Tim. 1:6) Think about the people in the territory and what may arouse their interest. All such preparation will move us to witness effectively “with a demonstration of spirit and power” from the Word of God.—1 Cor. 2:4. w15 10/15 4:9
