Why Do Jehovah’s Witnesses Speak With People Who Have Previously Said,
“I’m Not Interested”?
Jehovah’s Witnesses, motivated by love for God and love of neighbor, enjoy sharing the Bible’s message with all people, including those who have previously said “I’m not interested.” (Matthew 22:37-39) Love for God moves us to obey his Son’s command “to give a thorough witness.” (Acts 10:42; 1 John 5:3) To do this, we bring God’s message more than once, just as God’s ancient prophets did. (Jeremiah 25:4) Because we love our neighbors, we try to share the lifesaving “good news of the Kingdom” with all, including those who at first were not interested in it.—Matthew 24:14.
We often find interest when we return to homes where we found no interest before. Consider three reasons:
    People move.
    Others in the home show interest  in our  message...
    People change. World events or personal circumstances cause some to become more “conscious of their spiritual need” and to take an interest in the Bible’s message. (Matthew 5:3) Even those who are opposed can have a change of heart, as did the apostle Paul.—1 Timothy 1:13.
Nevertheless, we do not force our message on anyone. (1 Peter 3:15) We believe that each person must make his own decision in the matter of worship.—Deuteronomy 30:19, 20.

Los cristianos tenemos que cuidar nuestra relación con Jehová. Como somos imperfectos y vivimos en una sociedad que está controlada por el Diablo, es fácil que se nos contagien la manera de pensar y la conducta de la gente en general. El espíritu de este mundo es como la corriente de un río que nos lleva a una muerte segura. Si no queremos que nos arrastre, debemos nadar con todas nuestras fuerzas. De forma parecida, tenemos que luchar para que el espíritu del mundo de Satanás no nos arrastre y destruya nuestra relación con Dios. Cuando predicamos, nuestra mente se concentra en cosas que nos benefician, no en cosas que debilitan nuestra fe. Nuestras creencias se hacen más fuertes porque repasamos las promesas y las normas de Jehová. Por otro lado, la predicación nos ayuda a mantener como nueva la armadura espiritual (Efes. 6:14-17). Si nos mantenemos ocupados en actividades espirituales, no tendremos tiempo para preocuparnos demasiado por nuestros problemas, y eso también es una protección. w16.01 5:12, 13

Many years we called upon a home. The lady of the house answered and was obviously in mental distress. She explained that she normally would not even talk to us, but her life had changed. She lived in a well-to-do neighborhood with large houses and manicured lawns. As she looked around her neighborhood from the front stoop she said she thought she was in paradise. Then she found out that her husband has been unfaithful and was divorcing her and her oldest son was diagnosed with cancer. As she stated, in times past she would not have listened to us as she thought she had everything, but today she realized how fleeting everything is and was in search of something better. Something that can give her hope for a future.
It was my service companions call and we moved away some time later so i do not know how the story ended. However, the point is peoples circumstances changes. You never know when someone will finally wake up to the fact that this life is all a mirage and the real life in in the future and that only Jehovah can provide it with the loving kingship of his Son Jesus the Christ.

We need to safeguard our spirituality. Because we live in a world that is dominated by Satan the Devil and because we are imperfect, it is easy for us to adopt the wrong thinking and conduct of the world. The world’s spirit might be compared to a river current that is pulling us in a direction we do not want to go. To avoid being swept downstream, we must vigorously swim in the other direction. Similarly, effort is required to keep from being swept away by the spirit of Satan’s world. When we are preaching to others, we focus on important and beneficial spiritual matters, not on thoughts that will erode our faith. Preaching strengthens our convictions, reminding us of God’s promises and loving standards. It also helps keep our spiritual armor intact. (Eph. 6:14-17) If we keep busy in our spiritual activities, we simply do not have time to become overly concerned with our own problems, and that helps to protect us. w16.01 5:12, 13

These final words of the letter that the first-century governing body sent to the congregations can also be rendered “be strong.” We definitely want to prosper in “good health” and be strong as we serve our great God. As long as the present system of things remains and we are imperfect, sickness is a fact that we must face. We cannot expect now to be cured miraculously. However, Revelation 22:1, 2 points to the time when we will be healed completely. The apostle John saw in vision “a river of water of life” and “trees of life” with leaves “for the healing of the nations.” This does not refer to any herbal remedy now or in the future. Rather, it points to Jehovah’s provision through Jesus for giving everlasting life to obedient mankind—truly something we can look forward to.—Isa. 35:5, 6. w15 12/15 4:17, 18
