Where do u live. I'm in Ohio. In the United States. Only two brothers here have beards and it's been frowned upon. But I have friends in Germany. And Poland. And several have beards there and are serving in congregation. But here if you want to have any privileges you cannot have a bear.

Differences of opinion regarding entertainment can result in “foolish and ignorant debates.” (2 Tim. 2:23) Of course, when individuals promote entertainment that violates Jehovah’s moral standards, Christian elders should not tolerate such behavior simply to avoid controversy. In the matter of entertainment, our organization does not review specific movies, video games, books, or songs in order to rule on what we should avoid. Why not? The Bible encourages each individual to train his “powers of discernment . . . to distinguish both right and wrong.” (Heb. 5:14) The Scriptures set forth basic principles that a Christian can weigh when selecting entertainment. The Bible teaches that family heads have a measure of authority, so they may choose not to allow certain entertainment in their household.—1 Cor. 11:3; Eph. 6:1-4. w14 7/15 2:11, 12

A  well  groomed  beared  can  looking  so  nice !  Our  young  anointed  Sinti - Brother  has  a  very  short,  small  and  well  groomed  beard...  Its  so  nice,  like  a  small  chain  by  a  younger  Sister ;-)

I agree it's not necessarily a Custom to have a beard. But in today's society a beard isn't frowned upon among men or something that sets them apart as rebellious or something else as was in the past. But if a brothers conscious allows him to wear a neatly groomed beard then I see no reason to fault him for it or hold it against him in thinking he is not trying to remain modest. I prefer a beard and look better with one. Shaving also causes me to break out and face to burn. So I prefer not to. But I don't want to stand out as someone rebelling against the congregation so I'm stuck in guess. Hopefully the brothers will be accepting of beards soon

You make me look stuff up, I'm getting too old for,this!!

This article was so confusing to me. I'm in southern ohio. I hate shaving. I only do for meetings but since this article I now am letting my beard grow. While at the same time keeping it groomed. Anyone on here having issues in their congregation because of the beard issue. I don't see how it would detract at all from our message since it isn't something that makes you stand out from anyone as a rebel since beards are widely accepted now. Any opinions or help?

Like a new person. So Patty feels Villamar Mujica after receiving a new kidney, which had been suffering for thirteen years.
It was a long time "tied to a machine," says the woman, who received hemodialysis for a few years, then moved to sessions with sera and in 2011 began the process to join a waiting list for a donor organ. At that time felt faint, he says.
Until the call came informing him that had the kidney she needed. "I could not believe it. He had already lost hope, but the Lord said, 'Wait a minute,' "he says.
The process was conducted at the Luis Vernaza hospital, and this intervention amounted to 120 the number of such transplants that are done in the hospital for six years.

Since this holiday is about it is good to remember why not celebrate true Christians and what is its origin.
Does Halloween is celebrated in your country? It is true that this party is known especially in the United States and Canada, where it is celebrated on October 31. However, the customs of Halloween can be found in similar festivals in other parts of the world. They may have another name, but basically deal with the same subject: the world of spirits, the dead, fairies, witches, even the devil and demons.
WHERE HE CAME FROM?
The origin of some customs and symbols of Halloween
Vampires, Werewolves WITCHES AND ZOMBIES: These creatures have always been associated with evil spirits.
SWEETS: The ancient Celts sought to appease evil spirits with sweets. Later, the Church encouraged people to go from house to house on the eve of All Saints and asking for food in return for a prayer for the dead. Hence the habit of asking for candy on Halloween.
COSTUMES: The ancient Celts used hideous masks so that evil spirits believed that they were also spirits and left alone. Gradually, the Church mixed pagan customs with the celebration of the Dead and Day of All Saints. Later, people started going from house to house dressed as saints, angels and demons.
PUMPKINS: Formerly turnips were hollowed and placed a candle to frighten evil spirits. There were those who believed that the candle represented a soul trapped in purgatory. Over time, turnips were replaced by pumpkins.
Halloween party is a celebration unbiblical. The Bible itself warns us: "No one among you who practices divination, witchcraft or sorcery; or casts spells, or spiritualist medium who consults the dead "(Deuteronomy 18:10, 11, Leviticus 19:31; Galatians 5: 19-21).

“You Must Love Your Neighbor as Yourself”

To the above, Jesus added: “However, I say to you: Continue to love your enemies and to pray for those who persecute you, so that you may prove yourselves sons of your Father who is in the heavens.” (Matt. 5:44, 45) The apostle Paul made a similar point when he wrote: “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.” (Rom. 12:20; Prov. 25:21) According to the Mosaic Law, a person was to help an enemy to free his animal that had fallen under its load. (Ex. 23:5) By working together in such a way, former enemies might become good friends. Because Christians show love, many of our enemies have softened their heart toward us. Very  good,  thank  you  Fmadriaga ;-)  We  need  more  love  and  peace ❤   Jehovah  will  give  us  1000 years !  Yes,  some  humans,  maybe  need  a  long  time  for  that.  But  we  are  all  still  very  imperfect....

The September 2013 Awake article on this matter was addressed to people in this way , "you may not believe in supernatural spirits".

Satan blinds peoples minds to the truth through false propoganda in many areas, religious, scientific, political etc. They construct all kinds of mental buildings based on these false foundations.
When some people hear the truth on a matter however, it can move their thinking on other issues. Bit like seismic activity in one area causes building collapse somewhere miles away. 
I had a study once with a Trotskyist revolutionary. He was active in a radical political party. It was impossible to discuss world conditions or religion in general without getting into a political debate.  After a year, I gave up and switched to talking in detail about the Bible's teaching on life after death, something he had expressed no interest in. However, this was new to him and he listened with some interest intellectually, as he did not know that mainstream church thinking differed from what the Bible taught.
Nothing happened for several months until he attended a funeral service for a close relative. He realised that the funeral discourse contradicted what he now knew was taught in the Bible. He was outraged by this. Within weeks he started attending all the meetings at the Kingdom Hall and soon dedicated his life to Jehovah. His zeal was now redirected into the preaching and teaching work and he pioneered for many years. 
So in the spirit of Ecclesiastes 11:5, I would encourage @Queen Esther to keep publishing the truth on matters. Who knows where it will have success?
