!There will be great tribulation such as has not occurred since the world’s beginning until now, no, nor will occur again.—Matt. 24:21.
The earthly part of Jehovah’s organization is moving ahead in various ways. For instance, our understanding of Bible truth is constantly becoming clearer. This is to be expected, for “the path of the righteous is like the bright morning light that grows brighter and brighter until full daylight.” (Prov. 4:18) But we might well ask: ‘Am I keeping pace with refinements in our understanding of Scriptural truth? Is it my custom to read the Bible daily? Am I an avid reader of our publications? Do I and my loved ones have a weekly Family Worship evening?’ Most of us will agree that it is not too hard to do these things. Often it is just a matter of setting aside time to do them. And how important it is to take in accurate Scriptural knowledge, apply it, and make spiritual progress—especially now that the great tribulation is drawing so close! w14 5/15 4:2, 10

Performer: Simone Arnold Liebster Composer: Erich Frost Lyricist: Erich Frost Musician Erich Frost was a devout Jehovah's Witness active in the religious resistance to Hitler's authority. Frost was caught smuggling pamphlets from Switzerland to Germany and was deported to the Sachsenhausen concentration camp near Berlin. There, he composed this song in 1942. Frost survived the war and died in 1987. This translation is taken from the Jehovah's Witness Songbook Simone Arnold Liebster, who sings the English version of the song, was born in 1930 in Mulhouse, French Alsace. After the incorporation of Alsace into the German Reich during World War II, Liebster's family suffered increasing harrassment from the Nazis for following the Jehovah's Witness faith. Eventually both her father (Adolphe Arnold) and mother were arrested and sent to concentration and detention camps while she was placed in a correctional institution for "nonconformist" youth. Liebster has published an autobiography, Facing the Lion: Memoirs of a Young Girl in Nazi Europe.
Stand Fast
Performer: Men's Choir directed by Erich Frost Composer: Erich Frost Lyricist: Erich Frost Original Title: Fest Steht Erich Frost (1900-1987), a musician and devout Jehovah's Witness, was active in the religious resistance to Hitler's authority. Caught smuggling pamphlets from Switzerland to Germany, he was imprisoned in the Sachsenhausen concentration camp near Berlin where he composed this song in 1942. Later deported to a labor camp at Alderney, Channel Islands, Frost survived the war and returned to Germany to serve the Watchtower Society. Fest steht, reworked in English as Forward, You Witnesses, is among the most popular of Jehovah's Witness hymns. This performance, evoking some of the song's original spirit, took place under Frost's direction at an event held in Wiesbaden, Germany, during the 1960s. Lyrics for Stand Fast

Katie's Songs.
Here is a collection of songs and several of them are songs of the Bible books. It sounds like a child is singing these songs but I've been told that the songs were recorded at the wrong speed and it's actually an adult singing. I slowed them down 15% just to listen to it and the sister has a beautiful voice. Both versions are included. The fast and the slow.

Does anyone have any of the New World Records from the 1950 Songbook? I have a few I am willing to share, but I would love to fill in the ones I am missing. It would be great to have a library of kingdom music to listen to. I have music starting with the 1944 Songbook forward. Official music from 1966 forward, with Piano for 1944-1966 from Noteworthy Composer. There is someone on YouTube, music jwpiano that does piano covers of the new songs, with sheet music. He hasn't done any lately, but the ones he has done are beautiful. if there is enough interest, I would be happy to upload. If anyone needs help converting record to mp3s, I can offer assistance also.

Perfect Sarah, thank you ;o). Sometimes I have problems with a good picture... and yesterday it was very late, sorry. / This pic must be for sunday, not for saturday - It was happened a mistake yesterday, sorry !
I was singing *Kyrie eleison* as 16 year old girl in a church with a chorus ! Called * Missa brevis* from W.A. Mozart. But also starting with the words Kyrie eleison ! I still have it on a sep. hard disc. A nice reminder and experience... LOL
"Kyrie" is a song by American pop rockband Mr. Mister, from their 1985 album Welcome to the Real World. Released in late 1985, it hit the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 charts in March 1986, where it was #1 for two weeks. It also hit the top spot on the Billboard Top Rock Tracks chart for one week. In the UK the song peaked at #11 in April 1986.
Kýrie, eléison means "Lord, have mercy" in Greek, and is a part of many liturgical rites in Eastern and Western Christianity. Kýrie, eléison; Christé, eléison; Kýrie, eléison is a prayer that asks "Lord, have mercy; Christ, have mercy; Lord, have mercy". According to Page the entire song is, essentially, a prayer.
Kyrie eleison
Kyrie eleison
Kyrie
The wind blows hard against this mountain side
Across the sea into my soul
It reaches into where I cannot hide
Setting my feet upon the road
My heart is old, it holds my memories
My body burns a gemlike flame
Somewhere between the soul and soft machine
Is where I find myself again
Kyrie eleison, down the road that I must travel
Kyrie eleison, through the darkness of the night
Kyrie eleison, where I'm going, will you follow?
Kyrie eleison, on a highway in the light
When I was young I thought of growing old
Of what my life would mean to me
Would I have followed down my chosen road
Or only wished what I could be
Kyrie eleison, down the road that I must travel
Kyrie eleison, through the darkness of the night
Kyrie eleison, where I'm going, will you follow?
Kyrie eleison, on a highway in the light
