  1. In 1968 two movies came out with actors in "costume", playing apes. 1.) "Planet Of The Apes" and "2001- A Space Odyssey". 2.) "Planet Of The Apes" won an Oscar for best costumes of that year ... BECAUSE ... it was not understood at that time that "2001's" apes were actually actors in costume. People thought they were real apes! The costumes were so real and the actors so good, that people thought they were looking at trained apes, or something. I did not think about it at all, except to marvel at the perfect professionalism. Of course... excellence is its own reward, and a fully integrated mind does not depend on the approval and recognition by others.
  2. That goes back to the old adage that people who play the violin often have OTHER nasty habits.
  3. Yep .... it's a problem all right ..... We will probably get more respect and attention when we start carrying rifles, rocket propelled grenades, bomb vests, and "new light" includes 72 virile, nubile virgins. Preferably with gymnastic abilities. I talked to some Muslims one time about converting, and they got really excited when they found out I could fly a 747. Can you fly .mp4
  4. It's not exactly intuitive to know that the author of "Breakfast at Tiffanys" was the same man that wrote "In Cold Blood" ... Truman Capote.
  5. ... they say "the camera" adds about ten pounds to anybody's physique. She musta have had 5 cameras take that picture.
  6. The "cloud" is merely using someone elses' hardware. The true test of a quantum supercomputer is if it break a PGP encrypted email with 4074 bit encryption. ever.
  7. There are people that do not understand the relationship gasoline has to the internal combustion engine. These people are "pedestrians".
  8. Occasionally even now I will take a nap on the carpet with naked 5 year olds, to 15 year olds, both male and female. Well, naked ... except for their flea collars and rabies tags.
  9. I believe you can get a five gallon Home Depot bucket, and lid, for about $5.00.
  10. Don't worry .... Johnny Carson had 16 writers, and half of HIS jokes bombed.
  11. You have quite a talent there Foreigner ... the predictable and repeatable ability to misunderstand EVERYTHING ....... about EVERYTHING !
  12. I make it a point to be extremely predictable, without even trying. You too, Foreigner, share this trait, except that you do it unconsciously.
  13. The way that is done in a most practical way is to hire a hit man to kill your target. THEN, hire a second hit man to kill the FIRST hit man. THEN hire a third hit man to kill the second one, etc. ....ultimately, it's all FREE! .... sorta like ".... turtles, all the way down.".
  14. Foreigner: I posted that just to extract from you proof that your perspective, outlook, and viewpoint on EVERYTHING is totally screwed up, and therefore, your opinions on any subject whatsoever are not valid in the REAL world outside of playing with words. According to you, Dick Van Dyke marrying a competent, capable woman who was FORTY YEARS OLD is pedophilia. He is now 92, and she is now 47, and each one complements the other. You are so divorced from reality it is embarrassing to read what you write. Your opinions, by whatever personna you are using at the time, on any subject are worthless. That is why I think your "down votes" are funny.
  15. Age Difference = 46 years. The Mary Poppins star wed his personal makeup artist on Leap Day of 2012. The two had met six years earlier at the SAG Awards, where the veteran actor was "bowled over by her beauty." 46 years age difference ... and I suspect they are doing better that the average JW married couple ....
  16. Non-Sequiter: We are now in the 4th day of mechanically incubating 7 miniature chicken, chicken eggs. Soon we will be surrogate grandparents of midget chickens .. Only 17 more days to go.
  17. I believe you have ALREADY overdosed on the blue pills, LONG before I knew of your existence. Wikipedia notes: "The red pill, together with its opposite, the blue pill, is a popular cultural meme, a metaphor representing a choice between the "red pill", representing a life of harsh knowledge, desperate freedom, and the brutal truths of reality, and the "blue pill", representing a life of luxurious security, tranquil happiness, and the blissful ignorance of the harsh realities of life, basking in an (essentially dishonest) illusion. The terms, popularized in science fiction culture, are directly derived from a scene in the 1999 film The Matrix."
  18. 16 ...uh... I mean 61 ! I am 73 ...and she has a Masters in Mathematical Education, and I have a High School diploma written in crayon. I like a woman who knows Calculus ... it's someone I can ... *coff* ... count on.
