If I come across someone in the ministry, church person or not, who does some kind of good works - say, running a soup kitchen, I do nothing but say good things about it. It is undeniably a good work, and we are not doing it.
I don’t say anything about painting the Titanic. I don’t say anything about Jesus instructing his disciples to put first the kingdom proclaiming work. I’ll get to those things, but only later. It is a matter of prioritizing and of building connections with the one I am speaking with.
Would he advise helping people, @Srecko Sostar? The side he has chosen doesn’t even know how to do it. In the US, there are two political parties. Both say they want to help people. Neither says that they want to hurt them. Yet they incessantly squabble and between them nothing gets done.
Google the one about the Red Cross raising half a billion dollars in the aftermath of the Haiti earthquake and then squandering almost all of it:
    https://www.propublica.org/article/how-the-red-cross-raised-half-a-billion-dollars-for-haiti-and-built-6-homes
How is that world he has chosen doing in its goal to fight injustice and suffering? Does he almost have it snuffed out?
Jehovah’s Witnesses direct their blows where they will do the most good - publicizing what is the permanent solution. He shouldn’t go patronizing them as though he’s found a better way. If anthing, his is the course that comes up short. Our people are not so naive as to think that human rulership will remedy suffering and injustice. If anything, it is the cause of it.
Paul says it. You do good towards all & especially those related to you in the faith.

I didn’t overreact even a little bit. The person making accusations always pleads for more “balance” when his accusations are rejected.
There is nothing wrong with writing Russia with regard to the primary cause and not writing Russia with regard to every other cause.

There are two ways of looking at this.
    1.) It has not been.
2.) it has been, but it is far worse everywhere else.
One must look no farther than who is being outed as perpetrators. If you want to find deviants in most places, you look no further than the leaders. If you want the same ‘catch’ among Jehovah’s Witnesses, you must broaden your search to include, not just leaders, but everyone.
An JW leader committing CSA is rare. Not unheard of, but rare. Elsewhere it is the pattern.

James Thomas Rook Jr. reacted to Queen Esther in Did you know that about Albert Einstein ???
Albert Einstein was by no means a bad student - even if that is always told.
For every student who struggles with his grades, it may sound comforting: even Albert Einstein, the epitome of genius, should have been a bad student. Ironically, in physics, the later Nobel laureate had a smooth "six" in the high school diploma.
But the story, which many like to believe, is not true. Some facts from Einstein's life have simply misunderstood biographers.
The student rebelled against drill and pointless timpani
Thus, there is often talk of difficulties with which the young Einstein had to fight at his Munich grammar school. But most of all, they were related to the freedom-loving student rebelling against lesson drills and senseless drumming. To good grades it was enough anyway. Even then his achievements were outstanding, especially in the natural sciences.
The fact that Einstein finally dropped out of grammar school in Munich did not have anything to do with academic failure either. His family had moved to Italy because of economic problems, so that those left alone no longer kept in Germany.
    Einstein's biographer mistook the grades
The next stage of his life later fed on the myth of school failures: Einstein did not succeed in the entrance examination for the Polytechnic in Zurich. However, the gifted could compete only with a special permit, because instead of the prescribed 18 he was only 16 years old. Nevertheless, he achieved the best results in the mathematics and natural sciences, while he showed knowledge gaps in other areas.
As a result, Einstein first took his Abitur in the Aargau Cantonal School. His diploma was full of "Fives" and "Sixes" - among other things he had a "Six" in physics. Unfortunately, his biographer overlooked the fact that they were the highest scores in Switzerland and so finally created the myth of the weak student, who later miraculously mutated into an incomparable genius.

show me where in the Bible it says you must "study diligently".

bahahahaha, you mean your education on what a eunuch is? bahahahahahaha
completely irrelevant! so you telling us the story again proves what? NOTHING. It is a fact that the eunuch was baptized, but he didn't even know what he was reading! verses 31&31. Give me a break sm, you stretch things so far to try and validate yourself its on the border of narcissism.

Was baptism necessary for the thief on the cross next to Jesus? NOPE.

Each of us, no matter who we are, only have a limited number of mental, emotional, physical, and financial resources.  And only so many hours of our lives, which as time goes on, becomes painfully shorter, and filled with concerns of the day.
OF COURSE THIS IS THE CASE !
Sreko Sostar,  I feel a certain affinity for you because we have seen and experienced many similar things, and have certain common awarenesses ... but will allocate what total resources I have to "Blood or Brotherhood" .... FIRST.
The quickest way to go totally insane is to grieve over things you cannot change ... and as Clint Eastwood, in the Harry Callahan series of movies once said, (paraphrased) ....
" .. A man has got to know his own limitations."

James Thomas Rook Jr. got a reaction from LNN in Ray Kroc first opened a McDonald’s franchise in 1955, from the McDonald brothers
Ray Kroc actually stole it from the McDonald Brothers, as shown in the movie "The Founder", which is how the McDonalds Restaurants went from one building to a global franchise chain.
    An opportunist, and a thief.
And modern day McDonalds has never made it right.

James Thomas Rook Jr. got a reaction from JOHN BUTLER in Why does the whole body of elders in a congregation not serve on a judicial committee?
I have known MANY elders whose children have "left the Truth", because their fathers paid more attention to congregational matters than their own children.  There is such a thing as "theocratic" burnout.
And that fire has an insatiable hunger.

Reminds me of when I was a younger man and had a full head of hair (sigh .... ) the time I stood next to a sheet rock wall in my home, and did an experiment with a balloon about that size ...
I vigerously rubbed the balloon in my hair, until the hair on my head, and the balloon accumulated a charge of static electricity, making my hair stand straight out.
The balloon popped, and my head got stuck to the wall.

I have noticed talking to many people about "HELL" that they have a desperate need to believe in it, perhaps if only to get mad and condemn you to Hell if you don't agree with what they believe.
Wouldn't it be a hoot if there actually is a burning hell of torment where you will be tortured forever and ever ... BUT ... ONLY if you believe there is one?
Otherwise I believe all these "experiences" are all just lucid dreams partially due to oxygen starvation.
