I agree ... everything has a place in the ecological niche.
If I survive Armageddon and have found favor with God, I will ask him about tapeworms, mosquitoes, trichinosis worms that get in muscles, and thousands of other things that are 1/100,000,000 smaller than we are, that to live their lives, they infect ours.
I understand bees ... but I do not understand many of the things, large and small, that make our lives, and each other's lives, absolutely miserable, and lead to a slow, painful, excruciating death.
But, Thank Jehovah for Polar Bears.
When the grandmother Eskimo has lived her life, and has lost all her teeth, and can no longer chew Polar Bear fur to make it soft and pliable for her son's and grandson's clothing ... she will some quiet night slip from her Igloo where her family sleeps, all naked together under layers of fur so as not to freeze to death, and walk across the ice and snow and sit down, and she will freeze to death.
Then, the Polar Bear will come and eat her ... and later, her family will eat the Polar Bear, and with her life, she has thus helped preserve her family alive.
Thank Jehovah for Polar Bears.

By the way .... there is NO WAY that Polar Bear is starving ... they usually die of parasite infection, respiratory infection, old age or rifle bullets.
A Polar Bear can swim 60 MILES across open ocean to find food.
There is NO WAY the "journalist" who made this report can know if this particular bear, or any individual Bear is starving ... or not.
He may have been shot last week.
He may be sick.
He may be injured.
He may not be hungry.
Ad nauseum.

Wasn't Charles Taze Russel an Apostate who read the Bible on his own, and was despised by his "Christian Contemporaries"?
I know Sir Isaac Newton derived the EXACT same basic core philosophy we have .... and he did it based on reason and logic applied to the Bible ... presumably alone.
He, like myself, may have had a real problem ... with Caleb and Sophia.

I hope he is!
Absurdity NEEDS to be lampooned, and ridiculed ... or absurdity becomes the accepted norm, and pockets of civilization become nations of fools.

.... some people naturally ARE (shudder!), vegetarians.
That is what Able was doing when Cain came in ... having a Bar-B-Que Garden party. Cain was a really bad hunter ...and later the American Indians invented a word for "bad hunter".
... "vegetarian".

James Thomas Rook Jr. got a reaction from Melinda Mills in What will people do once technology takes all the "jobs"?
Artificial Intelligence has been touted since IBM came out with the PC Jr., with the chicklet keyboard, which they crushed and buried in landfills by the millions.
How many people here remember the BASIC program Eliza, which was a fairly good psychoanalysis program?
You will know when Artificial Intelligence is perfected.
It will be six months after they perfect Artificial Stupidity.

From one viewpoint, a renegade writer can STILL write ... and knows where "the bodies are buried".
From his viewpoint, he usually wants to eat three times a day, and not sleep in the snow.

No TTH... it didn't.
"The End" did NOT come anywhere .... in 1975.
If it had ..... we all would have noticed.

... THAT's why in my last posting, I put "The End" in quotes .... I was not referring to each individual life .... but the end of this system at Armageddon.
Philosophically, when each of us individually dies ... the Universe ceases to exist.

James Thomas Rook Jr. got a reaction from Srecko Sostar in Is there a contradiction with regard to freedom to change one's religion?
... just one complex thought ... destroying whole families to discipline one person is philosophical familial genocide.
Shunning should NOT be an institutional mandate ... or why do we even NEED a conscience at all?
There is a REASON "The love of the greater number will cool off".
Cruelty.

That is how control is maintained ... fear through arbitrary punishment that makes no sense, for fear you will be NEXT.
The same thing happened in Vietnam ... the logic was "we have wasted so many lives, we need to send more to validate them."

Of course it's all politics ... and the current policy is also cruel, and unscriptural.
That is how control is maintained ... fear through arbitrary punishment that makes no sense, for something someone else did, for fear you will be NEXT.

Yes, as I thought the whole thing was ridiculous, and drew many satirical cartoons on the inside covers of theocratic books, reacting to what the speakers from the platforms were saying, as they expounded with MANY words .... making fun of the whole idea ..... from about 1970 to 1974 ... ( I may still have them here somewhere in a box ... I am like a pack-rat ...) but after being bombasted by "1975-1975-1975 !" at every angle for three years, I concluded that it was VERY IMPROBABLE .... that every JW I knew, from Virginia to California would know something as a fact that I was not aware of .... so, in late 1974, I "caved in", and quit my job in Zaire, the Congo, and flew back home to Virginia to be with my parents when the "end came".
It still made no sense to me ... I suppose I had faith in the Brotherhood from top to bottom to have more "faith" than I had, and SUPPOSED my mind was clouded ... as I am basically a Barbarian in nature.
If my parents were going to die, I wanted to be at home in Virginia to die with them ... because I STILL did not believe it.
It was a kind of "just-in-case" thing.
