JW Insider reacted to Space Merchant in Jehovah's Witnesses money
The remark about Gun bunkers came forth from the debate (with multiple subjects for the latter loves to deviate) with Srecko and Witness, evidence to what is true/false is noted in the source presented in the pervious page. Witness made several claims in regards to JWs and the WT using sources such as Rick Fearon and Zelda and a list of ExJW information, however, what she did not realize is not all ExJWs are disgruntled, resulting in some being aware of any knowledge in Funds and other things to speak up against the people of their own community. This also brought forth the notation of the Watchtower somehow being owners of companies that are essentially into military weapons dealings (as is a gaming company and women's lingerie in which some believe they own)
Witness was challenged on this, and all her conspiratorial claims were proven false. In the same source, she attempted to allude the idea that JWs have connection to a Democratic party members, however, this was also false because it is alluded it was actually Fearon who probably held some Leftist backing, to which some believe this to be the case after doing some research. Then Srecko hopped in and made a fool of himself in the process.
In regards to @Dmitar who believes guests are not aware, in that same source, guests were interacting in that same discussion, and saw both Witness and Srecko's claims to not only be problematic, but false, mainly due to the fact the most powerful source in that thread was from an ExJW who challenged disgruntled ExJWs on Economics, money and bonds. Even much later, Witness attempted this again using a redittor associated with Smurf Girl, a conspiracy theorist, once again attempting to link JWs to a Democratic candidate for the Senate this time, Raphael Warnock (D) is an American pastor and politician serving as senior pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church. In Witness' claim, anything that had the term "Watchtower" she automatically assume it is associated with JWs, however, this is false, God forbid if she connects the WT to DC Comics who also uses the term. Then there is the situation with Newscorp, prior to the Redress Scheme, something I believe you are familiar with, whereas you, Witness, and Srecko were fooled by an Alt-Right media source with information that has nothing to do with the WT in order to draw in readers and clicks for the Redress situation in Australia, which as of recent, is a broken country where CSA is highly problematic now.
This is why I take issue with the MSM, they obscure things, even now, they beat the drums of war, of which was predicted by most for several years, hence the actions of the Guardian, NYT, Atlantic, CNN, MSNBC, etc. - The paradigm is a joke.
I already know Rook and James are one in the same, as is the other.
You seem to miss the plot. James does not house weapons under the churches of JWs, as mentioned earlier, this narrative was from Witness' source. These weapons, even poison, etc are alleged to be used for mass killings, and self harm. These Fearon types profess such these ideas and some made videos in the EXJW community. For instance, Anna, Arauna, and JWI are JWs, will they commit mass murder with weapons and poison because no one would accept the Bible's message? No. Do they side with the military in highly danger weapon grades? No. Would they commit to self harm as some ExJWs believe they would that equal to the level of the events of Jim Jones? No. Do the leaders of the JW faith attest to wiping themselves and or their enemies out on a Holy War-sque path? No.
Even the guests saw this is a great falsehood being professed from both Witness and Srecko, who tried to defend her.
James is very familiar with the notation of bearing arms, as is the 2nd amendment, so much so I remember talking to him about self defense, however, James isn't the type to go down an extremist/terrorist route, nor is this the intent of any JW present, no matter how most EXJWS fuel such an idea, which can be dangerous. In one thread not only we mentioned how to better protect children, but with the inclusion of self-defense, this was discussed.
This is why both Srecko and Witness were very wrong for attempting to protect a man/group (in Srecko's case, defend Witness on this) who advocate for such a nonsensical idea. What is ironic that even some disgruntled ones find Rick Fearon to be insane, more so of his actions.
The below is just a snippet of that, my response to Witness...

The issue is Guns, weapons, and poisons, bunkered inside and under JW churches, a claim proven to be false. Let alone the mass murder idea.
Firearms are legal in the United States, it is constitutional, the second amendment, right to bare arms, etc.
In James' case, in his own thread he mentioned good guys with guns.

James' discussion on the matter was a grounded one via example, in which everyone was engaged, both guests, even Admin, made remarks.
    This was one of several.

Witness and Srecko were already debated on this, the source is in one of my responses in regards to JW and money on this thread. Sadly, Witness has turned herself into Lisa Haven, and Srecko, a White Knight of Haven.

JW Insider got a reaction from Space Merchant in Are JWs in America back on the 'door to door' work now ?
Oh no! I promised myself I wouldn't respond to any of this 1975 stuff unless someone asked me a direct question, either on "private messaging" or directly in the forum. We've beaten this subject to death under other topic headings.
When you ask, "how was it back then?" I can naturally only speak to my own experience and those near me at the time. Many people have already made the point that there was more speculation in some regions than in others. I was baptized in 1967 but was only 10 years old, and I know that I was personally influenced by all the talk, and the books about 1975 that had just been published. I started auxiliary pioneering every summer since 1967, and finally quit high school when I was still 15, to start regular pioneering in 1973, and hoped to go to Bethel in 1975. I wasn't old enough until the beginning of 1976.
We were in a region that also had a District Overseer who pushed the "Stay Alive 'til 75!" idea, although he used different words. We had two different circuit overseers during that time, and I've spoken to one several times since then (Kent Carras) over the years. He had the most influence on me quitting school and going to Bethel. My mother was a great believer in the 1975-era speculation. My father was actually against all of it, and it even got him in a bit of trouble with the District Overseer, a Circuit Overseer and one of the elders who worked for him. It was on his side of the family that my great-grandfather and grandfather and grandmother had listened to the same type of speculation over 1925. It was my father who told me that the same phrase had been used: "Stay Alive Until 1925!" He recognized it for what it was, and always tamped it down with Jesus' words about no one knowing the day or hour. (That's actually what got him in trouble with the the District Overseer.)
So I was very much in the middle of the speculation, and was too young and enthusiastic about the Watchtower Society's "likely" prediction that I might not have time in this system to graduate high school, and that it would be even less likely that I could complete a degree in college. And then there was the direct and absolute prediction in the Watchtower publications that I would never be able to take advantage of a college degree in this system. (My father was the "presiding overseer" but he taught at the local university, and ran the electronics labs there. He hired several Witnesses and two other elders, so he never got the flack about education that some Witnesses got in those days. He also had a two-year electronics trade school program in mind for me.)
There were very few in my area who weren't pretty well versed in all the speculation. They could quote the Watchtower's material, and only a few people were actually speculating that Armageddon had to happen by 1975. This was their own speculation, not the Watchtower's. My mother was a 1974 person, because it still had to be a surprise. That was also her own speculation, of course. But our Circuit Overseer (Carras) understood that it was not about the system ending in 1975, per se, but it was about what the "1970's" will bring. He was able to show how the Watchtower was actually only predicting that it "could" happen by 1975, but that the system COULD go on as late as 1977 or even 1978. In other words, it could happen by 1975, but it will happen before the end of the 1970's. Curiously, all that talk about the 1970's went away by the end of 1975, or even by 1974, and the new "date" was soon pushed out to as late as the year 2000, for when this system will  have already ended.
When I got to Bethel in 1976, I was in the Art Department, but given some research assignments that eventually led to working for Brother Bert Schroeder starting in 1977 (until 1982). This kept me in the Bethel Library (and Gilead Library) almost daily and I began working with several of the other members of the Writing Department. My current understanding of the 1975 issues is very much influenced by what I learned from them (including Brother Swingle, Schroeder, Chitty, Rusk, and 3 members of the "Aid Book" team). Although I hardly said more than just "hello" to Raymond Franz in those years, I did speak to F.W.Franz for several hours of taped interviews in 1978 (mostly about organizational history after 1925). After reading what R.Franz said about the 1975 issue in "Crisis of Conscience" I'd say that it is probably the most accurate recounting of the 1975 situation.  I don't think anyone who was at Bethel during those years would find any inaccuracy in what he said.

@Dmitar Thanks I'll look into it. But yeah, the peddling for false stories and information tends to be frustrating and the people behind it are relentless. SM pointed out it has even gotten to the point that people looking in are now calling out some lies former Jehovah's Witnesses are pushing. One thing I remember was a while back one of Jehovah's Witnesses made a comment about a verse being omitted, Acts 8:37 and an angry mob went after him. He knew it was a waste of time to deal with people like this so he bailed, and once he left, they mocked and slandered him. Someone who was a former member made a video about the verse and continued the attack. It did lure in some JWs and others to correct the guy who made the video, but they were drowned out by those who are not only ignorant, but relentless in their attacks.
You really can't find peace with these people, nor can you get them to see what they are pushing are lies. The sad thing about it, there are indeed some who are not hate driven, but they are also drowned out too.

That's always the case. One side note. As I mentioned, if you weren't around that time and weren't aware of some circumstances, there were also imposters promoting and feeding such nonsense to the brotherhood. I believe the word gullible can rightfully be used in this instance.
If you do some additional research, you will find how a little church in New York started a "rumor" about the company logo of Procter and Gamble in the 80s. They linked that logo to devil worship. Soon after, some pretenders started floating the idea, it was coming from the Watchtower and Jehovah's Witnesses. That link started affecting the brotherhood. In some cases, JWs had stopped buying products from that company. That rumor spread until the Watchtower put a stop to that also.

JW Insider reacted to Equivocation in Will Life Ever Return to Normal? How the Bible Can Help in a Post-Pandemic World
@Space Merchant Well, that is true. the schools are affected heavily, from K to 12, even College and Universities, as well as secondary schools. Some would often get triggered due to even Bible verses. Teachers will often say things to students and inform them not to speak a word of a specific matter to their parents, which as 2020 and 2021 showed us, caused quite the outrage. So Higher Education can be a problem for anyone who is caught off guard. I do feel bad for the exchange students tho who are easily hit by the influence that eats away at what they believe and their values.
@Dmitar The influence is really bad. Only a matter of time until you see them 100% go after the Bible. In my case, if I quote something to a specific person who is under the influence, I'll most likely be met with retaliation.

I do believe this. That’s why I will take it seriously should SM ever check me on some point I have made, rather than blow it off as fault-seeking drivel, the way I realistically must do with so many here.
I won’t go quite so far as to say it would be a Psalm 141: 5 moment…
“Should the righteous one … reprove me, it would be like oil on my head, Which my head would never refuse,”
    but close.
If you hate the good news, you will do everything in your power to find fault with the imperfect vessels that carry it. It is no more complicated than that. SM is on to these malcontents.

Feel free to build up your own organization that helps refugees better and faster and more fairly.
No really, show me how you do this better in the real world, not just in a discussion on the internet.
It's so easy to complain, that JWs are not perfect. It's not easy (in this case at least) to do much better. I don't see that you at least try.

As in regards to what was said about China may be taking place and there is escalation. Elsewhere there is talks about Cyber Attacks being increased so many will have to brace.
Aside from that the conflict has caused some people to react to some acts that they would not normal do, such as steal gas from other cars due to the current situation - https://www.wvva.com/2022/03/11/criminals-are-getting-creative-steal-gas-your-tanks/

    Timothy (Phil. 2:19-24)

He was a blessing to Paul and to his own church, and he is also a blessing to us today! He proves to us that the joyful life is the life of sacrifice and service, that the submissive mind really does work. He and Timothy together encourage us to submit ourselves to the Lord, and to one another, in the Spirit of Christ. Christ is the Pattern we follow. Paul shows us the power (Phil 4:12-19); and Timothy and Epaphroditus are the proof that this mind really works.

Will you permit the Spirit to reproduce "the mind of Christ" in you?

*** ws18 June pp. 3-4 par. 2 “My Kingdom Is No Part of This World” ***
2 Today, more and more people have attitudes like those three once had. Many political groups use violence to gain independence. It is common for people to fight about politics. And in many countries, people mistreat foreigners more and more. Just as the Bible foretold, people are “not open to any agreement” during these last days. (2 Timothy 3:1, 3) How can Christians remain united while the world becomes more divided? We can learn much from Jesus’ example. People in his day were also divided by strong political opinions. In this article, we will learn the answers to three questions: Why did Jesus refuse to get involved in any political group? How did Jesus show that God’s people must not take sides on political issues? And how did Jesus teach us that we should never use violence?

Tell him to take it up with Jesus. That’s the one he seems to have a beef with:
“Jesus said: “Truly I say to you, no one has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for my sake and for the sake of the good news  who will not get 100 times more now in this period of time—houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and fields, with persecutions—and in the coming system of things, everlasting life. “ (Mark 10:29-30)

Coming from Africa, I can attest to that.  We just arrived at a Safari camp when I forgot the kitchen window open.  In jumped a monkey and stole the sugar pot.  It lay broken outside the window but the two monkeys were sitting right in the sugar and eating it all up like a pair of toddlers.  Then they turned around and licked each others butts clean.  They sure gave us much to laugh at. Next day a warthog was walking around on his knees on our stoep (veranda) eating some carrots we gave him.  They do this in the wild as well !    I think we will have a ball with the animals in the paradise. Yes, Creation shows that god has a sense of humor.

You were quite direct, I only mentioned as to what I was referring to, and it was not anything in this thread.
The focus I was focused on was one's experience, in which JWI explained and Srecko agreed, which was in 2018.
JWI was not talking about prophecy, more so experience. Srecko reacted in agreement.
Perhaps, but the evidence to what I was referring to is below:

Prophecy was talked about briefly, but it was more so what actually occurred that day. You, at the time, was active on the forum when the 1975 threads popped up, so you may or may not have seen it.
JWI was more concerned about honesty today, in addition to that he stated that no Watchtower article or Watchtower publication ever said that the world was going to end in 1975 yet @Witness, @Srecko Sostar and @Patiently waiting for Truth say otherwise, as with their community, with @Witness attesting to claim boldly. Then you have the Trinitarian Mainstream fanatics who come around, believing the same thing too, namely the Deserter of Christ, who was defended by the latter.
There were a few EXJW who broke formation from their own community, like the YouTuber I mentioned.

The notion of unity and uniformity has unusual consequences for JW members.
The interpretations of one group of elders in one congregation may differ significantly from another congregation in the same city.
This was often seen in the summer months around the insistence that speakers wear a jacket while speaking point. Well then if he can without a jacket, does the shirt have to have long sleeves or can he with short ones and the like. The absurdities of spiritual maturity in the JW brothers come to the fore.
Well then for example, can an assembly trip be organized or not. Some elders allowed it, and some were against it.
In the former Yugoslavia, we were often amazed by the directives from America, because there is HQ. Because the JW brothers on the old continent in a communist country did not have such a mindset as their “capitalist brothers”. :))

I’m not disagreeing  with you with that…what you have said is true…but the brother who gave the talk was humble  enough to admit the error…I like brothers like that…and the moral of the story Pugsy has nothing to do with cofffee…it is….don’t trust anyone but Jehovah and Jesus..and be like a beroean…who were more noble minded than the Corinthians and took responsibility for their own spirituality.
Many left over that,,,shaken because they looked to men….and a date…
If you lived thru  that you would also know many did not go along with it…

I mentioned the Indian and Pakistani phone scammers recently. Sometimes they call to tell me that they are the Office of  Customs and Border Patrol and it's usually about a rented car under my name on the Texas border in which they found drugs and evidence of wire transfers to a bank account. They give themselves names like "Officer John Williams" even though they have trouble making that name sound "American." I have sometimes responded with in an exaggeratedly slow Texas drawl:
I say: "This is Officer Srinivas Patel." (pronounced: SuhREEEE-nee-vaaahs Paw-Teyyaaaal')
    Nothing sarcastic about it!

    I did watch.
He is an interviewer who uploaded his conversation with a UU, not the author. And clearly you own no authorship.
No one said you were the author of the video, the problem is you jumped from Biblical Unitarian to Unitarian Universalists, extremely different and not the same. Therefore misleading, this is why you were told (which I see you purposely did not quote) the following:

The video in question was tied to the following - Unitarian Universalism.
It should be known already in your first video, which I acknowledge is Biblical Unitarians take the Bible, God's Word, with seriousness, as is his corrections on the website, which was mentioned to @Cos also a while back in 2 debates. We already know God is the Father and Jesus is God's Son, Subordinate from the Father, hence our early counterparts, Subordinationism. which evidently birthed the Restroationists. Whereas the other group, Oneness Believers, associated with UU, believes God manifests into the Son or the Father, etc.
An example would be, concerning Jesus, for the Oneness belief don't see Jesus as God, but God himself manifests as Jesus, so to speak. Whereas the Biblical Unitarian believes that Jesus is God's Only-Begotten Son, hence the first video you posted.
Biblical Unitarians recognize that in regards to Baptism, you are baptized in the name of the Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit, hence Matthew 28:19 whereas for a Oneness Believer, solely baptize in the name of Jesus, in addition to that, the Oneness believers state that Jesus is the one name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and so all religious activities should be performed in that one name.
As you can see there is a major difference. Therefore to equate the 2 not knowing these things, is misleading.
He is an Interviewer, the man's channel is primarily based on Interviews, speaking to someone, he didn't speak for himself, but rather, asked questions.
    He's Channel information literally reads:
Kindred Interviews - Hello I'm Kris.  If you live in the DFW area and would like to share your opinions or knowledge on YouTube via a personal interview, then send me a message and I'll set up an interview with you.  God bless!
Those who seek to be interviewed contact him, not the other way around and this was during the Golden Age Era of YouTube (10 years ago).
He interviewed a Unitarian Universalist, not a Biblical Unitarian. Even the description of the video addresses this,
An interview I conducted with a leader of the UU organization.  The video was cut off before the interview ended, sorry... I would love to interview another Unitarian Universalist.  If you live in the DFW area and would like me to interview you, please e-mail me at kriskindred@gmail.com
I do not need to succumb to anxiety to understand, in this sense, an Apple isn't an Orange. However, I can point out deliberate ignorance.
That being said, this is like 100% equating Jehovah's Witnesses to Seventh Day Adventist, and or Islam. To mix things up, makes no sense, unless one does so to cause confuse or weaponize misinformation.
But here we just witnessed you confuse Biblical Unitarians with Unitarian Universalist - literally.
You were better off sticking with the first video and remarks, but you wanted to shoot yourself in the foot by choice, a mistake John Butler made, although he went further to attempt to make the accusation of interfaith, and failed.
That being said, although in my case, I am on a crusade against Mainstream Christendom and falsehood, I would not be as foolish to confuse them, for I understand the difference, and move about defending core teachings. Although the majority is wrong concerning them, I would never use a misconception regarding them as a truth if there is no evidence.
Perhaps next time, do the research, it seems Witness and yourself still do not take that recommendation after your last attempt.
