Absolutely to your last sentence there. And you are right about Jimmy Dore, too. The Cenk team (TYT) experimented with a few political "leanings" and was even picked up for a show on MS-NBC when those leanings went close enough to mainstream, and pro-war. His ability to switch it up tells me that part of that must be for monetary traction. Amy Goodman (D.N.) also stopped doing the journalism that was too critical to Western warmongering, and is often just another voice for U.S. imperialism, despite their claims.
Jimmy Dore is often dumb, and is sometimes helped out by Grayzone's Max Blumenthal or Aaron Mate, etc. Dore is prone to exaggerate or just get stuff plain wrong. But at least he is refreshingly self-deprecating and humble enough to allow himself to be corrected by those who know the situation a little better. Of course, the Grayzone also puts on ideological blinders (looking left). But they are handling the Ukraine situation correctly.
I like it that Aaron Mate admitted where he was wrong about his Ukraine expectations, and that he does NOT defend Putin, but realizes that what he is doing is highly illegal. But he puts it in proper perspective when comparing to the illegal things like it being done daily by the United States.
Dore turns the basic stuff he learns from his Twitter feed and folks like these and turns them into talking points. But they often come across as disjointed, disorganized, and non-prioritized.
He let Aaron Mate do his thing on a recent one, which I also thought was a quick way to get an understanding of how NATO and Natural Gas fits in. But it's also a good perspective from the US coup in 2014, Biden's pro-war complicity and corruption, and the actual more nuanced answer to the question I raised in the original question that started this topic:

As for TYT, they are among the several that is the cause of censorship on other platforms, so much so they have went after people indirectly, myself included, as is the person who had gone missing a few days ago and was found. Even in the past, some of those they seemingly support, often attack others when confronted, such as the one I often mentioned, the Berkley Teacher. It's just my personal opinion, but discussion can help a Christian be informed. A person might think that in order to be neutral, it would mean that we should state that the policies of India in 1948, or Peru in 1943, were just as good or bad as the policies of Hitler's Germany in 1941. Neutrality does not mean we remain so uninformed that we can't tell the difference, or that we can't distinguish good from bad, or bad from worse, or mediocre from less mediocre.
Jesus called Herod "that fox." Is it really wrong for a Christian to discuss why Jesus might have called him that?
In Acts, Luke discusses political corruption, a possible bribe that Felix was looking for, and a political motive for some of his actions:

Was Luke being non-neutral in exposing some political motives and corruption?
Someone could argue, that all of those examples are history, or that the examples had a direct effect on God's people. But then again, what happened last week, even yesterday, is also history. And Jehovah's people are still being effected by world events.

Truthers hold no creeds, as is anyone who is aware of the apostolic church. Creeds are interconnected with agendas, this is the reason why Mainstream Christianity is an issue because they attest to a Creed that never originated with the early church. Truthers are neutral, and do not favor Left or Right, but they speak out against falsehood and the hypocrisy of those associated with the paradigm, call out misleading misinformation. There are Christians who are Truthers. 
That being said, the community is a prime target for those Agenda driven.

I am familiar with Jimmy Dore, he is the opposite to his former team on TYT who loves to slander and fan the flames of violence. But as with him, many are skeptical of any news coming out because in the sea of propaganda, the truth is really difficult to spot.
The below is a recent video for others who are similar to Jimmy, the first video is an Independent Journalist, the second from a Truther, who occasional starts his video with a meme, but is equally serious as the one in the first.
 

The origin of this club is that anything could be discussed, even in some instances, you attest to this notation, you fit this bill whereas some notations treads outside of faith itself. The only JW centric space is the closed one, unless there is another and this one is more populated because in the beginning it was essentially anything goes (Controversial Posts). It would be political should anyone, even current JWs take sides on be it for the Democrat Party or the Republican Party which is associated with the Paradigm - The Left and the Right. The situation with what is going on now can and will indirectly effect everyone, i.e. some who didn't escape are being forced to fight, while others, are unaware of what is going on and instantly taken by Propaganda.
Your opinion, however, unverified, however, you are free to speak your peace. The truth is I am not Americanized, for if I was, I'd be for the influence of today's society and be somewhat of a Nationalist, more so, specific cultures would have overwritten the one I already follow, which is heavily Caribbean Islander based, a mistake Srecko, Dmitar and Witness attempted to challenge and failed. Time and time again some notations I proclaim against various things in today's society. I am more so an enemy to the culture of today's society, for those outside of the paradigm, even us Truthers are essentially viewed as the bad guy, and they equate us to Conspiracy Theorists.
Other then that, today's society is the reason I am against various Agendas; having a strong disdain for misinformation that is engineered to mislead, as is, build a path for the Reset.
The MSM cannot be trusted at all, to verify what is truth, you have to do the due diligence to find out what it is and evade misleading information. The thing is now is a lot of us are being censored (I got hit with a lot of censors as of recent), a contact of mine in Russia has not only been censored, but because of the situation, his family instantly hit the poverty line, this is the same contact who was able to get information for me concerning a Hacker website used by the FSB (of which a group of people shut down) that targets people in Russia associated with Alexei Navalny, as is JWs during the ban, the same person who I was able to get information on how easily Putin won his election, as is what I said about Russia and China concerning NATO 4 years ago.
All that said, propaganda is everywhere now, so much so, it is even a problem for my community and those who support it, one person had to come out to apology because he was tricked by the videos from Ukraine, one in question even @JW Insider posted to give example of how easily emotional videos can get the best of people.
But you can still be effected indirectly. To not be knowing of this puts you among the unaware, as with most people, even among JWs, for some are unaware.
War is indeed wrong do argument on that, but to be oblivious to is also a problem to oneself; to be cautious you need to be aware. We have to know how our enemy operates also, so we do not fall victim. The Wild Beast and Babylon are very cunning, and some actions done by them, the unaware are usually the first to be taken by surprise vs those who are very cautious of every step, example, Babylon's actions in Washington in 2016, or a move by the Beast in 2017, etc.
Better to know these things, vs to not be aware, even Biblically, we have examples.
He's quite aware of the situation, and most likely will have his say.
The United Kingdom is of the first group, which is associated with America whereas Russia is in the second group under the United Nations banner. One sees an Order, the other does not. Whatever they do, it effects, example, Russians are suffering because of the sanctions met to target the RU government. Boris Johnson's say and action, along with is allies, will effect you and the UK people indirectly. Evidently, you will feel it, and to be unaware, the next move will sweep you or anyone else like a sudden flash flood.
I could have gotten some info in regards to the UK and the US, but a missing persons case took my attention, so I am doing research as of now.
That being said, as mentioned to you before, you do not have to 100% concern yourself with such but at least be aware of the Lion in the field. If thousands of Christians could easily be duped worldwide in 2016 from that same Lion, there is no question the same case can happen now and onwards into the Reset.
As for our Russian friends, it is tough for them, some of them now face Racism, for the actions of the Kremlin somehow Russians are deemed the enemy. My contact also suffers from this.

True, he only intervened in human affairs when his future purpose was in jeopardy such as when he warned Joseph that Jesus' life was in peril.  Jehovah does not as a rule take control of human affairs but does work towards his goal when he has prophesied events such as the prophecy concerning Cyrus.  Cyrus was anointed by Jehovah for a certain job...... to send Israel back and build the temple.  Jehovah gave him special capabilities in order for him to unite all the tribes of the Persian empire almost overnight.  There was NO empire and them there was one.
 
 It is in prophecy that the king of the North as this time (Germany) would act against the nation of God and also that he would not prevail.... But it is also prophesied that the League of nations (which went into the abyss at start of WW2), would again re-appear and get life blown into it from the Anglo-American world power as the UN (image of the beast). Rev 13:15.   
Consequently,  Jehovah does not step into human affairs to help us because humans (Adam) chose independence from God and self-rule without his "good and bad".  God has allowed humans to rule the earth without Him to prove that humans cannot rule the earth successfully when they do not follow his moral guidance.  If God acts like a fairy godmother and fixes all problems as the occur,  then he will be helping the renegade governments and in the process destroy his own case that humans cannot rule successfully without Him.

We are not voting for anyone and we are not choosing a human leader. We are just having a discussion. Just yesterday in field service the group was having a similar discussion. Of course we know ultimately Jehovah will set matters straight. It's such a no brainer. We are not taking sides with politicians by discussing what's happening in the world right now. Don't let your misguided thoughts mislead you.

That being said, that is an interesting claim, but you should be aware that Truthers are against the paradigm, we hold no political stance because we see the paradigm as a problem to the truth.
Moreover, as you can see in this thread alone, no one is supporting Ukraine or Russia and or specific ideologies that lean Left or Right, for if there was legitimacy in such, there would be evidence.
That being said, truth is always a casualty in such situations, therefore it draws concern as is one needing to be vigilant.

I did. It made me wonder that perhaps the sci-fi aspect of mormon beliefs may have contributed to his later sci-fi writing.
Incidentally, I've also noted how even though certain beliefs are demonstrably wrong about mormonism, the effects on them seem in many cases to be positive. Consider that they believe in having large families forces any male mormon to think seriously about doing all he can to acquire the skills needed to get paid or make enough money to support a large family.
Similar things I've seen among JW's...a lot of entrepreneurial activity borne of the desire to be free to better be able to pursue the ministry. Like the brother who invented/patented the propane buffers you see in stores(he wanted to speed up his floor work). I also know of a brother who indexes textbooks (lives out near Copperas Cove) and other books like this for a living. Brilliant brother. 

Preparation is key. However, one should not go overboard with it. As for Systematic Warfare, it'll be tricky if, for instance, you are being tracked, therefore, the semi-grey men mentality comes into play, so much so, you not only protect yourself, but those you care for, your network.
As mentioned in the other thread, events can cause an indirect action towards many, anyone who can buy food and or resources. Therefore, one must be prepared. Us Truthers are not like our Prepper counterparts, however, we can hold our own in tough situations, even physically, adapting to not eating/drinking for long periods, if need be.
That being said, it is 100% that many people who are unaware will be caught off guard, therefore, some among them, the fringe, will become dangerous, for there is no stopping a man who is on his last burst of wind to do what he needs to do to support his family and only then his true colors will show itself. A situation that some cannot confront, granted, not realizing the common man can turn into such a state.

This likely makes very little sense to most of us, but is presented by some Russian scholars to explain some otherwise inexplicable episodes under Stalin. Historically, of course, Stalin was successful in initiating the Nuremburg trials. The United States was not totally on board with this, and the US secretly and sometimes openly hired former Nazis for various government positions. It is fortunate that Stalin actually was successful in pushing for these postwar trials, in that they provide a memorable "punctuation point" to the Nazi regime.

I always hear out veterans. I will seek out their stories whenever I see a ‘Veteran’ designation on door or car. They have no stories to tell and, for the most part, no one wants to hear them. So I do. I often start by observing ‘how can you not admire someone willing to put his life on the line for what he believes?’ 
I just hear them out, regardless of which way it goes. Sometimes, though I do not insist upon it, I get to throw in the observation that while his/her bravery and conviction is admirable, were he living anywhere else in the world, that bravery and conviction would be directed to another entity, and isn’t that a strange way to run a world?

It's not just NATO pushing westward, which was a "line in the sand" that Putin has consistently held against. More directly, it's the Minsk accord(s), as agreed to by Ukraine, Russia, France, US, etc.
In them, the Luhansk and Donetsk regions would be considered part of Ukraine, but would be treated as autonomous regions with their own presidents and autonomous ability to negotiate trade, etc. But right after agreeing to this, the Ukrainian military (using the plausible deniability of its rogue Nazi forces) began bombing Luhanks and Donetsk, including schools, hospitals, bridges, etc. There was no real attempt to control these "rogue" elements. After all, they are represented in parliament and other parts of the Zelensky government. Remember that many Russians are living in these regions, and it was mostly because of the antagonism against Russians that Ukraine was bombing their own regions. This bombing escalated greatly in the days just before Russia responded.
In fact this is what's behind a curious bit of misinformation that immediately went viral, even though it really showed the opposite of what it was intended to show:

Although it's heartwrenching, it's a lie. It was actually posted by the mayor of Gorlovka Prikhodko on February 21, well before the invasion. But during one of the horrendous attacks while Ukraine was shelling the Donbas region. It was showing the evacuation of kids from Donbas as Ukrainian troops attacked. If you read Russian (I don't) you can actually tell that this is not Ukraine even from the Russian words on the bus that Ukraine would consider illegal. 
And the journalist who began posting this video under a new, false context and promote it to the tune of tens of thousands of likes? It was one of the same Syrian "white helmet" journalist who got so much Western traction by producing fake videos of supposed poisonous gas attacks to fuel Assad hatred around the world. (Not for nothing, the USA actually still occupies a huge portion of Syria due to the civil war, directly stealing oil from large sections of Syria since that time several years ago, and continues to steal the oil from Syria even today.)

Yeah, I have thought about this too. The only caveat is that the West usually does not parade weapons around, as on May Day celebrations during periods of peace. “Fortresses” look much more godlike when that is done.
Then too, the push push push in the West is toward consumer goods (whereas there was almost none of that in the USSR). Thus, even if weapons are a big deal in the West, they look to something else for a god.
I did point out in ‘Don’t Know Why We Persecute’ that there are three instances in which Russia literally saved the world from nuclear annihilation. (Some are arguable, but all are plausible) 
1) When a certain colonel saw 5 incoming missiles on the Russian defense grid, judged it to be a malfunction, and told his underlings to ignore it.
2) When one of three commanding officers of a Russian nuclear ship off Cuba refused to authorize use of nuclear missiles. The other two were onboard. Authorization had to be unanimous.
3) Krushchev’s telegram to Kennedy during the missile crisis has the distinct air of walking a more inexperienced leader back from the edge.

That statement from the website is bland enough, as you say. Of course, that particular quote from the website could just as easily have been worded to the effect of:
After world leaders had spent 8 years pushing war in Ukraine and avoiding offers from Russia for negotiations to avoid war --and while those same world leaders pumped in BILLIONS of dollars of military weapons so that Ukraine could continue to bomb citizens in its own Russian-speaking regions-- Russia finally takes military action itself and invades Ukraine.
My concern goes a bit farther here. I understand why there is a need at Bethel to continue trying to identify and settle on a current candidate for the King of the North and the King of the South, but it strikes me as very arbitrary and shows a real lack of neutrality to make such statements as this in the article:

I agree with you totally - but an opinion does not necessarily express sympathy for one side or the other side.  Most of it is just to find clarity about the background of what is going on.  We are still in this world and cannot go out of it.
I am not prepared to watch movies all day (my eyes are too bad) or do internet field service for 14 hours solid....  I do not have that number of contacts.  So please tell me what I can do with my time?
I am a pensioner and apart from a walk on the beach, some cleaning and preparation of food and bible reading ..... I need to do some things.  I used to sing opera and make dresses and knit..... but now my eyes have become too bad and the voice a little rusty.... so I like to watch how Jehovah's prophecies are going into fulfillment.
... I do not suggest that you take ANY sides in this conflict.... that is showing favor to one of the sides of the Beast. 
As the GB have shown - we must not take our eyes of the promises of Jehovah and try to develop the qualities of Jesus - keep our eyes focused on Him. But it is natural to want to understand what is going on around you. 

Just saw a Youtube episode of Jimmy Dore (below) who hits many of the same points that I (and others) have made about Ukraine. A little too defensive of Putin, and too snarky in general, but accurate on most of the points he does present. Some of the best points are about the hypocrisy of the U.S. rhetoric, a point he actually understates.

The first revolution was a color revolution (orange revolution) - CIA has orchestrated many of these across the world.  They also changed the regime again at the last election with puppets in power.  The extreme corruption came when George Soros opened his NGO to "fight" corruption. The shenanigans of president Biden and his son in Ukraine is absolutely shocking but this was covered up.  What I learn from this is that ALL human government is absolutely corrupt and will stoop at nothing that is in their way. Human laws are made to be broken when the top echelons of society are forcing their will on the people. Honest men are fired and people are secretly killed or suicided.  Ukraine has been stolen of all their riches. 
Putin is justifying this war - and while he has more than enough evidence and good reason to distrust the West - we know he represents the king of the North and will get a message from the remote north and east (Jehovah and Jesus) and go out to annihilate... (most probably together with his allies).....before he comes to his demise.... but this will happen at jehovah's time when the West and King of North have both reached the point where Jehovah decides - now is the time.
It has been 70 years now that the UN has been identified as the image of the beast.  With perestroika the west was fooled just as they have been with China's sudden capitalism....... but it is 'stakeholder capitalism".....and China and USA elites have their money interwoven in the west..... even Putin has money hidden in the west. 
Does anyone here need any more confirmation that we are at the end of the end times?  It may still be a year or three - in which very much can happen.  All I do know is that they are planning digital identity documents for all nations in the west and have been forcefully jabbing people in the poorest regions of the world such as a province in India.  They want to keep track of all the billions in Africa and India so they can control the environment and who may eat what .

This is true, and as others have pointed out, this is the basis for turning the "7 times" of Daniel 4 into 2,520 days, rather than 2,557 days (7x365.25 = 2,556.75). Of course, since we claim that nothing very notable actually happened after 2,520 days, we look to see what might have happened if we use the a "prophetic formula" found in Numbers 14:34 and Ezekiel 4:6 to change that same number of days into years.
But, according to the Watchtower's teaching on this period, we don't stay consistent with a 360-day year. We quickly switch it up to a 365.25 day year, or full calendar year. That's because if we claimed that Daniel really meant 360 day years for the prophetic fulfillment, then we would only be able to reach from 607 BCE to about 1877 CE. Even if the Watchtower started counting from the correct date for the destruction of Jerusalem, it would only reach to about 1897.
The Watchtower actually doesn't give a good reason for switching from 360 to 365.25 when calculating the fulfillment of the prophecy, as you can see from the article that attempts to explain it.

The year of the Jewish and Babylonian calendars varied in length from as low as 354 days to as high as 385 days. But in the Bible’s symbolic or prophetic “time,” or year, the number of days is fixed at 360. Seven of such years would be 7 X 360 = 2,520 days. This is corroborated by the statement in Revelation 12:6, 14, where it speaks of “a time and times and half a time” or three and one-half times, as 1,260 days. If we divide 1,260 by three and one-half (3.5), it gives us three hundred and sixty (360) days to a “time,” or year.
As to the greater length of time that these 2,520 days pictured, we find the rule of “a day for a year” in a prophecy of Ezekiel, who prophesied contemporaneously with Daniel and who also had the matter of “bands” connected with his prophecy. Another prophecy by Daniel with respect to the first coming of the Messiah, namely, the prophecy of the “seventy weeks,” is understood by Bible scholars to apply the same rule.—Ezek. 4:6; Dan. 9:24, 25. See also Numbers 14:34, which deals with a period of punishment or disfavor.
Therefore, the 2,520 days of the “seven times” would be 2,520 years in fulfillment. These years, in their fulfillment, would not be merely 360 days each, but full calendar years as we count them. For we must remember that the variation of the Jewish calendar was to adjust the lunar year to harmonize with the solar year. It could be termed a “soli-lunar” or “bound lunar” year. Days, or months, were inserted at intervals to make up the difference of approximately eleven days between the lunar and the solar year. By this means the seasons always fell in their proper place in the calendar. So their calendar would be almost exactly in line with the currently used Gregorian calendar. So the 2,520 years are to be counted as solar years.
I don't think that's true. (It's possible though.)
The method of counting the number of days from one month to another would sometimes be rounded off to 30, even though half the Hebrew months contained 29 days. It was easier to count a very close estimate this way rather than use the true average of a Hebrew month which was 29.5 days. There are still legacy financial systems today that use this 30 day month estimation for calculations of bank interest and "time-value" of money. That's why Microsoft added the 360-day year formula to Microsoft Excel.

The Babylonians also built counting systems on multiples of 30 and 60, even though they were well aware of the need to keep adjusting their years between 354 days and 384 days to keep an average of 365. The Jews were aware of this too, which is why the apocryphal book of Enoch made so much of the fact that he lived to be 365, and Enoch gets the vision in this book about creating an ideal calendar based on 360, but with an extra day added to each of 4 "seasons" to bring a calendar close to 365.  Although priestly Jews may have tried to keep an "ideal" astronomical calendar to help them know when intercalary months should be added, the actual practical calendar in use by the Jewish people always made use of the day of the month., based on watching for certain phases of the moon.
This is true enough. But the Egyptians also knew that the real year contained 365.25 days. So they had a 5 day holiday every year, but didn't add a leap day every four years as we do for our modern calendar. About 4000 B.C. they added five extra days at the end of every year to bring it more into line with the solar year.1 These five days became a festival because it was thought to be unlucky to work during that time.

In addition to the civic calendar, the Egyptians also had a religious calendar that was based on the 291/2-day lunar cycle and was more closely linked with agricultural cycles and the movements of the stars.
There are a couple more 3.5 year periods that may have been seen in the first Christian century. There is nothing that definitively states that Jesus ministry was exactly 3.5 years. John evidently highlights a single year of Jesus' ministry. It's assumed to be 3.5 years as a fulfillment of Daniel's 70-weeks prophecy. There is also a potential 3.5 year period between the time of Jesus death/resurrection and the general opening up of the preaching work to the Gentiles. And there is another one possible from the time when Roman armies first encroached upon Jerusalem in 66 CE reaching up to the final destruction of Jerusalem and its Temple in 70 CE. Some Bible commentators try to make a lot out of this period, too, in discussing the meaning of Revelation.
Revelation may have also been making an allusion to a well known and necessary lesson about how earnest prayer gave the power to overcome 3.5 years of tribulation in Israel:
(James 5:17) 17 E·liʹjah was a man with feelings like ours, and yet when he prayed earnestly for it not to rain, it did not rain on the land for three years and six months.
 
Good question. The Jews would likely have continued using the standard Hebrew calendar that switched between 12-month years and 13-month years so that it would average 365.25 over time. They had been using this since Babylonian times or before, and Hillel says they continued to use this method even a couple hundred years after the first century.
