Hundreds of “dead voters” are casting ballots in Southern California, according to an investigation by KCBS-TV.
David Goldstein, an investigative reporter for KCBS, cross-referenced voting records from the California Secretary of State’s office with death records from the Social Security Administration and found that hundreds voters are casting ballots under the names of people who have died.
The CBS affiliate’s investigation found 265 “dead voters” in Southern California.
Thirty-two of the dead voters cast ballots in at least eight elections apiece. One of the “dead voters” died in 1988, but records show she cast a ballot as recently as 2014.
Of the “dead voters,” 86 were registered Republicans, and 146 were registered Democrats.
According to KCBS, one such deceased voter, John Cenkner, who passed away in 2003, “somehow voted from the grave” in elections in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2010.
Cenkner’s daughter, Annette Givans, told KCBS that her father, a World War II veteran, “took a lot of time choosing his candidates.”
“He was a diehard Democrat, and I was thinking that if somebody else was voting under his name, he’s probably rolling in his grave if they’re voting Republican,” Givans said.
Givans expressed shock that someone would use her father’s name to vote.
“It just astounds me. I don’t understand how anybody can get away with that,” Givans added.
Ellen Swensen, a spokeswoman for True the Vote, a nationwide group that fights voter fraud, told KCBS that findings of their investigation are “very troubling.”
Swensen said that voter fraud “basically dilutes the voice of the lawful voter.”
“What it does is every single vote that’s cast by a dead voter actually cancels out a vote of a lawful voter,” Swensen said.

In the wake of reports that Virginia Democratic Gov. Terry McAuliffe is under federal investigation regarding possible illegal campaign contributions, Judge Andrew Napolitano told Fox News that the investigation has ties to Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

Napolitano on Tuesday noted to Fox News that the team investigating McAuliffe also is investigating public corruption allegations against Clinton, specifically whether she made decisions while secretary of state to benefit her husband, former President Bill Clinton, as well as the Clinton Foundation.
“It is in that connection that Terry McAuliffe’s name came up, because he was the nominal head of the foundation during that period,” Napolitano told Fox News.
The McAuliffe probe was first reported by CNN and surrounds a $120,000 donation from Chinese businessman Wang Wenliang through his U.S. businesses. U.S. election law prohibits foreign national donations to political races.
However, a spokesman told CNN that Wang holds U.S. permanent resident status, which would make him eligible to donate to McAuliffe’s campaign.
Napolitano added to Fox News that it won’t take a year to determine if Wang was a lawful U.S. resident at the time of the donation — but “there’s obviously more there than meets the eye” — and that investigators also are looking at his Wang’s returns.
McAuliffe denied any wrongdoing Tuesday, Fox News said, adding that the donor was “fully vetted.”

Ted Kaczynski, better known as the “Unabomber,” recently reached out to a select group of journalists, telling them that he’d agree to be interviewed under very specific conditions.
Kaczynski, a convicted domestic terrorist and anarchist who engaged in a nationwide bombing campaign between 1978 and 1995 that left three dead and 23 injured, sent a hand-written note to New Yorker writer Lawrence Wright.
Wright tweeted a photo of the note Kaczynski sent from the maximum-security prison in Florence, Colorado, where he began serving his first life sentence in 1998.

“In order to determine who will get the interview, I am asking you to write me back affirming that you understand that I am not mentally ill as my brother, Dave, would have you believe,” the note, which was dated April 4, read.
David Kaczynski, 66, helped investigators identify his older brother Ted as the “Unabomber,” bringing the 16-bomb rampage that lasted nearly two decades to an end.
“The Unabomber reached out. Thanks, Ted, you’re not nuts at all,” Wright tweeted Sunday.
After receiving criticism for displaying a lack of sensitivity, the writer later apologized for being “unnecessarily snarky.”

Kaczynski specified in his letter that he would grant only one interview and that the interviewer would have to confirm that he is not crazy.
After apologizing for the initial tweet, Wright clarified to his followers the he will not be conducting that interview.

Kaczynski was captured and arrested in April 1996, after which he was convicted and sentenced to four life terms.
David Kaczynski authored the book, “The Last Tie: The Story of the Unabomber and His Family,” which describes his brother’s battle with mental illness.

Pastor Saeed Abedini, the American citizen who was was detained for more than three years in Iran before being released in a prisoner swap between the U.S.and Iran earlier this year, penned a Facebook post on Sunday that called for Christians to “take a stand with Israel.”
“We are living in a sobering moment in history that calls us, as believers in Jesus Christ, to take a stand with Israel,” Abedini wrote. “We could be people of the last hour. We are not to be passive in the face of prophecy.”
The pastor called for believers to passionately pray, intercede and minister, following the example of Jesus “who said it is not our task to speculate when the end will be.” Abedini also said that those who are looking forward to Christ’s second coming will want to take a stand for the Jewish state.

“If you are looking forward to Yeshua’s second coming, when the world as we know it will change, then you want to stand with Israel,” Abedini continued. “You will help us spread the Good News of Yeshua’s love to the Jewish people who are being awakened, whose eyes are being opened and whose hearts are being changed today like never before.”
In a separate post, the pastor responded to a recent Times of Israel article that quoted Ahmad Karimpour, senior adviser to the Iranian Revolutionary Guards’ al-Quds Force, as saying that Iran’s military could quickly destroying Israel if given the orders to do so.
“If the Supreme Leader’s orders [are] to be executed, with the abilities and the equipment at our disposal, we will raze the Zionist regime in less than eight minutes,” Karimpour reportedly said.
Abedini responded to this threat by citing Ezekiel 38:1-7, which discusses “Gog” of “Magog,” which are believed by some prophecy gurus to be a world leader and a nation that will one day rise against Israel.
Abedini added, “Another Bible prophecy is happening.”
“The battle Gog and Magog is war in the latter part xxdays (Last days) when a confederacy of nations attack Israel, which has been restored in the last days,” he wrote. “These nations, which attack Israel in Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39, include nations, which are Muslim (such as IRAN) and have a clear animosity to Israel.”
Abedini continued, detailing the beliefs that many futurist Christians hold — ideals that are explored in-depth in my new book, “The Armageddon Code“: “Along with these Muslims nations, a northern kingdom, called Gog and Magog, which many identify, as the land Russia, will ally itself with Muslim nations, to oppose Israel in the last days.”

After residents of Beech Grove, Indiana, hit their pillows Monday night and turned off their lights, their collective shuteye was over and done just after midnight when explosions, gunfire and low-flying helicopters were heard nearby.

“Whole neighborhood was out bc we thought the world was ending,” one resident tweeted.
Some reported seeing people rappelling from helicopters.
Turns out U.S. Army Special Operations Command was conducting urban military training involving about 100 individuals at the old St. Francis Hospital, Beech Grove Police told WRTV-TV.

And while police said officials went door-to-door to warn folks, apparently not every resident got word, the IndyStar reported.
Holly Tolle wrote on WRTV’s Facebook page that at least three young kids she knows well were “completely terrified,” the station said.
“I live directly behind the hospital with three young children who were completely terrified,” Tolle wrote. “Now they are going to have trouble going back to sleep. I was informed by BGPD that all residents around the area were warned, but everybody I talked to said they were not.”
Lisa Davis lives about a mile away from the hospital and told WTRV that her neighbors were calling each other to make sure everybody was OK.
“A lot of people did not feel safe at all,” she added to the station.
Beech Grove Police Capt. Robert Mercuri said, “We’re sorry people were startled. We hope they understand that the city of Beech Grove was trying to help the people who protect us every day.”
Police added to the station that too much notice about the middle-of-the-night noises may have compromised the exercise, WRTV said, adding that more exercises may be coming this week.

NORRISTOWN, Pa. (AP) — Bill Cosby was ordered Tuesday to stand trial on sexual assault charges after a hearing that hinged on a decade-old police report in which a woman said the comedian gave her three blue pills that put her in a stupor, unable to stop his advances.

District Judge Elizabeth McHugh ruled that prosecutors had sufficient evidence to bring Cosby to trial in the lone criminal case brought against him out of the barrage of allegations that he drugged and molested dozens of women. A trial date was not immediately set.
Cosby, 78, could get 10 years in prison if convicted.
“Mr. Cosby, good luck to you, sir,” the judge said.
“Thank you,” said the former TV star, who stood up briskly after the ruling and seemed chipper and unsurprised. He hugged one of his lawyers.
The judge set an arraignment for July 20, at which time he could enter a plea. But Cosby waived his right to appear at that proceeding. That sets the case on a trajectory for trial.
The preliminary hearing was not the face-to-face confrontation between accuser and accused that some had anticipated: Andrea Constand, the former Temple University athletic department employee who said Cosby violated her at his suburban Philadelphia mansion in 2004, was not in the courtroom, and the judge ruled that she did not have to testify at this stage.
Instead, prosecutors had portions of her 2005 statement to police read into the record.
While authorities in recent months have paraphrased her account and quoted fragments, this was apparently the first time that large sections of her statement – or Cosby’s, for that matter – were made public.
Constand told police in 2005 that the comedian penetrated her with his fingers after giving her pills that made her legs “rubbery” and “like jelly.” ”Everything was blurry and dizzy. I felt nauseous,” she said.
“I told him, ‘I can’t even talk, Mr. Cosby.’ I started to panic,” she told police.
She said she awoke with her bra askew and did not remember undoing it.
In her statement, she said Cosby told her the pills were herbal medication. She said he also urged her to sip wine even though she said had not eaten and didn’t want to drink.
Cosby’s lawyers argued unsuccessfully that reading Constand’s statement instead of putting her on the stand would be hearsay and would deprive him of his right to confront his accuser. But having a police officer read someone’s statement is common practice at preliminary hearings in Pennsylvania, which have a much lower burden of proof than trials.
In his own 2005 statement to police, excerpts of which were also read in court, Cosby portrayed it as consensual sexual activity, saying Constand never said “no” as he put his hand down her pants. A seemingly relaxed Cosby said he and Constand had had other “petting” sessions before.
Cosby also told police the pills were over-the-counter Benadryl that he takes to help him sleep. He said he gave Constand one and a half pills and she did not ask what they were.
During the hearing, Cosby attorney Brian McMonagle questioned why Constand continued to see the comedian and even returned to the house to meet with him after the alleged assault.
Detective Katherine Hart testified that Constand told detectives in 2005 that she went back to Cosby’s home to confront him about what had happened.
Constand also told detectives she contacted Cosby after moving to Canada because she wanted tickets to one of his comedy shows. McMonagle said Constand brought a present for Cosby.
Earlier Tuesday, the comedian walked into the courthouse on the arm of an aide, waving to people waiting outside. He looked healthier than he did when he was charged in December, and was not carrying a cane this time.
Prosecutors reopened the case last year after dozens of women leveled similar allegations and after Cosby’s sealed deposition in Constand’s lawsuit was made public.
He settled her lawsuit for an undisclosed sum in 2006 after testifying about his extramarital affairs, his use of quaaludes to seduce women and his efforts to hide payments to former lovers from his wife.
The testimony and the barrage of allegations have all but destroyed Cosby’s nice-guy image from TV’s “Cosby Show.”
Cosby’s lawyers are trying to get the case thrown out, arguing that a previous prosecutor a decade ago made a binding promise that the comic would never be charged. On Monday, Pennsylvania’s Supreme Court rejected a request to delay the preliminary hearing while Cosby pursues a dismissal.
Cosby has not entered a plea since his Dec. 30 arrest. He is free on $1 million bail.
He is also fighting defamation lawsuits across the country for allegedly branding his accusers liars and is trying to get his homeowner insurance to pay his legal bills.
Constand is now a massage therapist in Toronto.

Professional wrestler Glenn “Kane” Jacobs says he is entertaining the idea of climbing out of the wrestling ring and into the political ring.
Jacobs made news when he told WBIR-TV that he was “seriously considering” a run for the Knox County, Tennessee, mayoral seat in 2018 as a Republican. He confirmed to Dana Loesch on Monday that he is open to a run for public office.
When asked by the host of TheBlaze TV’s Dana about running for office, Jacobs replied, “A lot of people talk to me about that.”
“In fact, there’s a rumor swirling today here in Knoxville, but we’ll see about that, I don’t know,” he said.
Loesch responded, “You didn’t say no!”
Jacobs said that he loves his community in Tennessee and running for office is something to “consider,” adding, “Maybe at some point I’ll do something like that, we’ll have to see.”
The wrestler also offered his thoughts on the 2016 presidential race, arguing that the Republican Party has ceased to be the party of Reagan.
“If the Republican Party were to get back to its principles — which are essentially libertarian, which means individual liberty and economic freedom — they would offer something completely different than what they do now and … what the democrats do,” he told Loesch.
He likened the “Republican establishment” to a “country club” and said that the GOP is “going to be relegated into the dustbin of history if they don’t change.”
“I hope that they do,” he said.
