My family and my parents had the privilege to visit Brooklyn Bethel before the final move. It was such a special time for my parents to see their grandchildren (4th generation Witnesses) so inspired and excited about Bethel. In the picture we were on top of the Towers building overlooking the Columbia Heights building. We also were able to tour Tuxedo, Patterson and Wallkill. What a wonderful brotherhood we have! Pioneer holiday witnessing on the Isle of lslay in Scotland, followed by some of the neighbouring islands: Jura and Colonsay. Around 1000 pieces of literature were placed and 2 studies started over the week. Around 20 of us went, the territory rarely gets preached to as there are no witnesses on the islands!! Moonflower is one of the most romantic plants you can grow in the garden. It’s a statuesque, ideal evening-garden plant bearing large trumpet-shape flowers that unfurl in the evening (or on overcast days) and stay open until the sun rises. Most are sweetly fragrant when open. This beautiful plant is also very heat- and drought-resistant. Beware: It’s quite poisonous, especially the seeds. Just when we wonder what use there is for the moth. We find that the moth pollinates the moonflowers. The moonflower also gives the appearance of it glowing when the moonlight rises above them. New Kingdom Hall being constructed in Kimberley, South Africa. And next to a church! Apparently since ground was broken, the church has done anything they could to try and stop the project, from wild claims about the brothers running an illegal bar (shebeen) on the premises to putting pressure on the municipality to scrutinise the building plans. Relief Work in Houston, Texas, USA after the flooding this past week. Around 200-250 volunteers gathered yesterday to help out the local brothers with damages to their homes and Kingdom Halls. Twenty properties were tackled. This is the crew I worked with. The little boy lives in one of the affected houses and was very eager to help! Such an encouraging experience, every single time.
