  2. Memorial service Saturday in Chanhassen, Minnesota As we learn of more details we can update this post. Not sure if they will use his Kingdom Hall or not yet: Prince Cremated In Secret: No Extravagant Funeral Service For The Public Prince cremated in secret – by the time Prince’s body was released after autopsy, a limited number of family and friends, as well as some musicians were present by the time he was cremated. No extravagant funeral service for the public will be made, for this is what Prince wanted in the first place. Stuff reports that his body was cremated in the presence of his sister Tyka, his nephew and another family member at First Memorial Western Chapel in Minnesota. Tyka is most likely the person to inherit Prince’s $800 million fortune, since no other family member may possibly claim his wealth. Being a Jehovah’s Witnessmember, Prince already stated before that by any chance he dies, he doesn’t want an extravagant funeral service. A family friend told The Mirror that even before, Prince made it clear that by any chance he dies, he wanted his death not to be held in a large service. “He wanted it to be kept to the minimum of fuss. Prince was such figure you don’t need a funeral to remember him by. The world has his music instead. He wanted to simply disappear with no fuss, no drama, no fanfare. It was just his style. It could not have been more different to Michael Jackson’s service that was full of Hollywood razzmatazz.” The legendary Michael Jackson was said to be once a Jehovah’s Witnesses, but was believed to be disfellowshipped from the religion because of conducts that is in contradiction with the Bible. The organization of Jehovah’s Witnesses already released an official statement about Prince’s death, noting that Prince enjoyed the preaching work they does from house to house while he was still alive. Despite not having a large funeral service, fans flocked Paisley Park to pay tributes, share stories, and reminisce the life and works of a great music artist. http://www.healthaim.com/prince-cremated-secret-no-extravagant-funeral-service-public/53096
  3. They say Prince was a 'spiritual man' who very strongly believed in the church's message However they do not keep his photo inside so as not to glorify an individual A couple in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, opened their door in 2003 to find Prince standing on their doorstep with a Bible The 81-year-old said of the deceased singer: ‘Prince was a publisher with good standing here in our congregation. He was active, he shared in the ministry every month. ‘We didn’t see him very often because he was away all the time, but he did attend the memorial of Christ’s death on March 23 here, he brought some of his band members with him. ‘He was a spiritual man from what I know of him and he talked to individuals and he very strongly believed in the message of the bible that Jehovah Witness’s proclaim. ‘He believed that the true God is Jehovah and he knew for example that when we die, we’re dead, we’re sleeping and the hope is the resurrection, that’s why Jesus died.’ Elder Cook said Prince regularly ‘witnessed’ alone in the community, as well as in groups. And he admitted that people might have been shocked to see the superstar turn up on their doorstep to talk to them and offer a free bible course, but added: ‘We try to downplay the person, it’s all about the message. ‘We try not to eulogize any individual from a personal standpoint, one person is equal in the eyes of God as another person. ‘So our main goal is to proclaim the message of God’s kingdom as equals and Prince did what he could from what I understand. ‘He did what he could to help people to get into the Bible and appreciate the benefits of family life and the hope of God’s kingdom.’ He added: ‘Credibility and honesty in conveying the message is vital.’ Elder Cook described Prince as ‘modest’ and ‘very, very humble’ when he came to the church. ‘Obviously he was able to witness when he was on his travels as well, he was devoted to it like we all are,’ he said. ‘He found fulfillment as a Witness and in sharing his faith with others.’ The elder says he last saw Prince when the star attended a 50-minute ceremony to commemorate the death of Jesus on March 23 – an event celebrated by Jehovah’s Witnesses all over the world. The church has no photos of their most famous ‘publisher’ on the walls as you might expect, because ‘that would be glorifying an individual’. ‘Glory goes to Jehovah God, almighty God and his son Jesus Christ,’ said elder Cook. Elder Cook also said the church does not have a problem with Prince’s reported addiction to prescription drugs because ‘that’s a personal matter’. ‘We are in to homeopathy and things like that, because nothing is 100 per cent.' 5. Prince's first wife and the mother of his only child Mayte Garcia will be attending the music icon’s funeral in Minnesota. Garcia broke down in tears as she was spotted leaving her Los Angeles home on Friday, one day after Prince's tragic death. The 42-year-old was unable to speak and wiped away tears while stepping into her car with her adopted daughter Gia. Garcia nodded her head when asked if she plans to return to Minnesota, and again when the photographer asked if she has been trying to keep Prince's memory alive. 'How are you? How is everything? Mayte is everything ok?', the photographer asked, to which Garcia responded by turning away from the camera toward her car. 'We're sending you a lot of love', the photographer said before asking how she's 'holding up'. Garcia responded with a sad shrug. 'I'm trying to honor him,' she responded, holding back tears, as she put her daughter in the back seat of her car. 'Is everything OK with the family at this point?' the photographer asked, to which Garcia responds with another shrug. 17. Koala sleepingKoalas also have special adaptations that enable them to feast on eucalyptus leaves. Very fussy eaters, they use their excellent sense of smell to select the best tasting leaves. Although there are 600 types of eucalyptus trees, koalas generally limit their diet to two or three favorite kinds. In addition, eucalyptus leaves are highly fibrous and poisonous to other animals. But koalas have bacteria in their stomachs that break down the fiber and toxic oils and allow them to absorb 25% of the nutrients. In order to survive on such a low calorie diet, they conserve energy by moving slowly and sleeping around 20 hours a day. Koalas inhabit the forests of eastern Australia, but there are a few differences between northern and southern subspecies. They range in length from 60-85 cm (2-3 ft.), but northern koalas are on the smaller side, weighing 4-8.5 kg (9-19 lb.), while southern koalas weigh 7-13 kg (15-29 lb.). Southern koalas also have thicker fur to keep them warm in the colder winters. Koalas are territorial animals who live separately in their own home ranges. A home range consists of suitable trees that provide food and shelter and overlaps slightly with other koalas’ home ranges. Koalas define their territories by making scratch marks on trees; males also secrete a sticky brown substance from a scent gland in their chests that they rub on the bark. From August to February, koalas meet in the overlapping areas to mate a koala’s pregnancy lasts 35 days. When the joey is born, it is only 2 cm (less than an inch) long. It is hairless, blind, and has undeveloped ears. But the newborn does have very strong forelimbs and an instinct to climb from the birth canal into the mother’s pouch. There the baby finds a nipple, which swells in its mouth keeping the joey in place. KoalaAfter the joey spends 6 months in the pouch developing, the mother koala will produce a special substance called pap. Pap is a soft, alternate form of fecal matter that consists of the bacteria necessary to digest eucalyptus. In order for the joey to start eating leaves, it will need the bacteria in its intestines. So the joey feeds on pap in addition to milk for several weeks View the full article
  18. The Dwarf Minke whale is the smallest baleen whale, identified by about 50-70 throat grooves. The largest Dwarf Minke whale that was accurately measured was 7.8 m (25 feet) long with adults weighing 5-6 tonnes. They are mostly located at the Great Barrier Reef. They have a characteristic white band on each flipper, contrasting with its very dark grey top color. These and other markings can be used to identify different individuals. They have TWO blowholes, like all baleen whales. The Minke does not feed on the Great Barrier Reef, but fatten up on krill in the rich waters of the Antarctic before their annual migration. Many pregnant females will give birth on their northward journey, the single calf being approximately 3 metres in length and weighing 300kg. Minkes display some extraordinary behaviour such as spy hopping, where they lift their head out of the water and observe the boats above the surface. Often they are seen tail-slapping the water, which may be an acoustic signal to other whales in the vicinity. Minke Whales voluntarily approach boats where the whales may linger or circle to interact with people as they return to the boats after a dive. The voluntary approach to the vessel and swimmers by Minke whales creates a unique in-water experience. Spirit of Freedom crew brief all guests on strict guidelines from GBRMPA on how to behave during an encounter to ensure the safety and protection of the Minke Whales. View the full article
