  2. New Light in the last article of the following magazine:

Ezekiel 37:15-17 prophesies about two sticks being joined together to become 1. One stick represented the two tribe kingdom of Judah and the other stick represented the 10 tribe of Israel (Ephraim). The article explains how the coming together of these two sticks meant the reuniting of these tribes in 537 BCE.

The modern day fulfillment was previously taught to mean that the anointed had once again come together in unity in these last days.

The July Watchtower now explains that one stick, the stick of Judah, represents the anointed and the other stick, the stick of Ephraim, represents the other sheep. They further explain that since 1919 God's people have gradually reunited to become one flock.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A 60-year-old man and a 65-year-old woman are dead in what police said is an apparent murder suicide at apartments in the 100 block of Franklin Avenue SE.

It has left friends and neighbors of the couple confused and in despair.

Family of both the people found dead in the apartment gathered to grieve and look for answers, very few of which were available Friday.

“The female did not show up for work which is unlike her, according to her employer, so they were concerned so they called us,” Grand Rapids Police Captain Vincent Reilly said today.

Police have not identified the deceased couple.

The woman had not been heard from since Wednesday, police said, but neighbors said they saw the male walking around the complex a day ago.

Police contacted the woman’s daughter and management at Campau Commons opened the door around 3:30 p.m. where the two bodies were discovered — dead of apparent gunshot wounds.

Police have not said who killed whom, but a gun was taken from the scene.

A good friend of the male did not want to go on camera, but said the couple had an on-again, off-again relationship, but there was never any indication of violence, although he did have a legal firearm.

Another friend said that the couple seemed happy and in love.

“[He] was very humble. [He] was a good man. He was a Jehovah’s Witness. He cared for other people,” said the woman who said she had known the couple for about a year, but did not want to go on camera.

“She was a very, very loving and caring person. I mean, very,” the woman said.

The women said they did not want to remember their friend for the way his life ended but instead — “For his jokes, laughing, helping others. He was a very good person.”

Preliminary autopsy results are likely to come on Monday.

GRPD’s Major Case Team is investigating the case. Anyone with information is asked to call 616.456.3400 or Silent Observer at 616.774.2345.

  4. Horrible crime in Glasgow on Thursday evening when a well loved Muslim shop keeper Asad Shah was stabbed to death by at least one other Muslim man. Mohammad Faisal, a family friend, said a bearded Muslim wearing a long religious robe entered Mr Shah’s shop and spoke to him in his native language before stabbing him in the head with a kitchen knife.

Mr Shah had posted the Twitter message ‘Good Friday and a very happy Easter, especially to my beloved Christian nation’. Residents of Shawlands in Glasgow say he was well respected and had been known to hand out Christmas cards to neighbours despite being of a different faith.

Hundreds have turned out in a vigil near the crime scene...

This is my Dad getting baptised on the weekend at the Bristol Assembly Hall, UK My parents have been married 39 years and my lovely mum has waited all that time for the day he would get baptised. Through her conduct and the example set by all his grandchildren he finally did it. We’re so grateful to Jehovah for blessing our family. Photo shared by @k3llydavies

Memorial of Christ’s death was held in a rented room in Astana, Kazakhstan. Because our Kingdom Hall was demolished and the brothers and sisters are forced to gather in small groups. But fortunately, Jehovah blessed the efforts of the brothers, who rented the cafe, where we freely took this memorable occasion. We were incredibly glad to see all the congregation together and to say welcome the invited guests! Photo shared by @aleka9208
