  1. The grandmother of our congregation. 94 years young. 70 years between us yet she beats me at having strength - she was in hospital for three days and still managed to attend the Memorial. That makes 154 in total with 85ish publishers in the London, UK Lithuanian congregation. Photo shared by @go_goda View the full article

  5. Memorial of Christ’s death was held in a rented room in Astana, Kazakhstan. Because our Kingdom Hall was demolished and the brothers and sisters are forced to gather in small groups. But fortunately, Jehovah blessed the efforts of the brothers, who rented the cafe, where we freely took this memorable occasion. We were incredibly glad to see all the congregation together and to say welcome the invited guests! Photo shared by @aleka9208 View the full article

  15. March 25th, 2016 | by Barbara Johnson Controversy Philadelphia, PA | A man who stripped naked and gave a lap dance to a religious solicitor who had knocked on his door, was arrested this morning and faces some very serious criminal charges which could cost him up to 25 years of jail time. 53-year old Frank Thompson, a construction worker from the Germantown neighborhood, is accused of welcoming 41-year old James Emerson Wyatt in his residence on Tuesday, before taking his clothes off and engaging in a “sexually aggressive dance” meant to offend his visitor. Mr Wyatt, a respected member of the Jehovah’s witness religious organization, filed a complaint with the Philadelphia Police Department yesterday, claiming that he was the victim of a sexual assault motivated by religious enmity. “He seemed polite at first, he invited me in and offered me a coffee,” Mr. Wyatt told reporters. “But after a couple of minutes, the look on his face changed completely and he began to take his clothes off. He began slapping his own ass, screaming offensive stuff like “Do me like you would do Jehovah”,”I’ll give you a taste of heaven” and other hate-filled comments. He then sat on me and began thrusting his hips in a sexually provocative manner. I really felt dirty and soiled… It was the worst day of my life.” Mr. Wyatt says that this aggression has not altered his determination to continue going from door to door and spreading his faith, but he says he will make sure to be accompanied by a colleague in the future. Mr Thompson’s lawyer, Roger David Smith, met reporters to denounce the accusations filed against his client as “ridiculous and excessive”, saying his client was being harassed by Jehovah’s witnesses and has resolved to “desperate measures” in order to end the unceasing harassment. According to him, Mr Thompson suffers from a serious medical condition and needs some regular blood transfusions to live, a medical procedure forbidden to Jehovah’s witnesses. He claims that he told many of the solicitors of the faith, including Mr Wyatt, to leave him alone, since a conversion would represent a death sentence for him, but they kept visiting his home almost once a day. “My client was visited 5 to 10 times a week by religious solicitors, for the last two years,” Mr. Smith told reporters. “He was constantly being harassed by Jehovah’s witnesses, and he just couldn’t take it anymore. He was naively hoping that if he had a shocking behavior, they might leave him alone. Mr. Thompson is really the victim in all this, and he shouldn’t be accused.” This controversial case is already generating a lot of comments on the social media, and it promises to generate more, as Mr. Thompson’s trial is scheduled to begin before the United States District Court in Philadephia, on April 5. http://worldnewsdailyreport.com/man-accused-of-hate-crime-for-giving-a-lap-dance-to-a-persistent-jehovahs-witness/

  20. 2015 Registered charity information return for Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Canada / La Tour de Garde Société de Bibles et de Tracts du Canada. The information displayed below has been manually entered by the Canada Revenue Agency from the registered charity’s Registered charity information return. This information has not necessarily been verified for accuracy or completeness by the Charities Directorate. Link donations are at an all-time high, up by 10% (line 4500). More staggering, gifts from Other Charities exploded to $33.5 million (line 4510). As a result, Total Revenue is at a staggering $83.3 million (line 4650). However, Expenses are still high, with Supplies increasing by $5 million (line 4891). (Really explains the push to digital, and discontinued publications.) As a result, the deficit has remained, and is at $6.8 million. Much better than the previous 3 years, but still very sickly compared to 2010's $20 million surplus. Also notable, Canada sent $35.9 million to Brooklyn (or offshore) in 2014. 2015 is down to $3.5 million (line 5050). (For future reference - 2011, $82,420 - 2012, $2,045,845 - 2013, $216,022 - 2014, $35,921,399 - 2015, $3,485,726 ) Synopsis - arresting the hemorrhaging is important - but, they are still negative. Will next year be a break-even year?
  21. It is already the most translated website in the world and with more volunteers worldwide displaying the symbols on literature carts everywhere one could make this argument. What do you think? Bigger than Coca-Cola?
