What timing. We overlapped. I had already tried to pull these comments over to a new thread here. If you don't feel like moving all the other comments here, I think it's OK to split this into two topics, or I can move these ones over there, since that would be easier - just two posts.:

The Librarian got a reaction from ComfortMyPeople in How do we calculate backwards to the total solar eclipse that occurred when Jesus died on an afternoon in 33 CE? Has it ever been published?
This is going to be fun.
The darkness at the time of Jesus’ Crucifixion gives us solid proof — either of the Bible lying or the Bible recording a remarkable truth. The Bible describes two spectacular events on the day of Jesus’ Crucifixion.
Listen to how Mark describes the first: “And when the sixth hour had come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour” (Mark 15:33 NIV).
If darkness covered the entire land, it would be visible to more than those in Jerusalem. Everybody around the Roman Empire should have seen something, if it was real.
The second event likewise would be visible everywhere. Joel prophesied it and Peter quoted it:
    (Acts 2:16, 19–22)
A blood moon occurs during a lunar eclipse. As with the darkness, it should be widely visible, if indeed it happened during Jesus’ crucifixion — as Peter indicates it did.
If we find nothing in the historical record, then it appears the Bible lied.
But do find this in the historical record — well, then things get interesting.
    So what do we find?
Thallus was one of the first to write about the darkness at the time of the Crucifixion, writing at about 52 AD/CE. His original work has been lost, but Julius Africanus, an historian who wrote around 221 A.D., quotes Thallus to disagree with him:
Both of Thallus and Julius attest to the darkness as a real event, so much so that they can bicker about the cause.
Phlegon, a Greek historian and author of a detailed chronology in 137 AD/CE, wrote:
This one is especially handy, as it corroborates the exact year and time of day for the darkness, as well as and the earthquake.
Africanus also wrote a five-volume history of the world c. 221 AD/CE. His account is particularly noteworthy both for its length and for his credibility; he had impressed Roman Emperor Alexander Severus so well with his historical rigor that he was put in charge of the Emperor's library in the Pantheon; in other words, he was the most well-known, influential, and well-resourced historian in the Empire.
While I quoted him briefly above to highlight Thallus’ contribution, Africanus’ full paragraph adds a great deal more detail:
This one additionally is valuable given that it mentions the resurrection of the dead and again the earthquake, in addition to the darkness.
Tertullian (second century) also provides a remarkable attestation, writing:
Not only does Tertullian attest to it, but he appeals to how well-recorded the event is in established historical archives of the time. This is perhaps the most significant attribution, given that he cites how extensively the event was recorded and appeals to the public records to prove his point.
    The darkness, then, is well-established.
What then do we find about a blood moon?
It turns out that a lunar eclipse did happen on exactly the day the darkness was recorded: April 3, 33 A.D./C.E.

A view of the partial lunar eclipse on August 7, 2017 as seen from Malta in the Mediterranean Sea.

The precise data on the partial lunar eclipses of April 3, 33 A.D./C.E.
This blood moon during the day of Jesus’ Crucifixion was so well-known that writers in the early church appealed to it frequently.
Skeptics have long scoffed at these details in the Bible. But like most details in the Scriptures, when you dig into the research, you find the claims verified.
The Bible is not a book of cleverly-invented myths. It records real events that happened in real history. The more we press into the individual details, the more we find them verified.

    And I'm Seeking everyone's Part
My Family is like one spirit
But with Jehovah, all don't want to hear it
If all of us understand what is best
All of us will be eternally Blesses
Because days and ages has gotten us all down
And the pain and sorrow it just seems to Drown
Me with the feelings of Grief I've gotten to a Slump
And sometime I feel like I live in a Garbage Dump
Even with my health, I'm weak in the knees,
Boy I miss my youth, when I could run with ease
But I don't mind getting older
Because It has make me bolder
    In my faith to Preach
Of Jehovah's New System that I Teach
Where all my Pain and Fears Will disappear
And to Jehovah God we all must adhere
Regardless the fact my family's not united in the Lord
It will not stop me from being in full accord
With Jehovah my God I will never Leave
Because he is the only one that I will belive
Especially for my Oldest son lost in death
I have the faith that Jehovah will give him new breath
To bring him back to life
So He may one day see his Wife
That never stopped loving his mother
Even falling in love with his Brother
Marrying him like in days of old
When they obeyed Jehovah in what they were told
Who will get her in the resurrection the bible does say
But the only thing that matters is that we obey
His word and law today and forever
So those that love him will never sever
A relationship I want all my family to get
So every one of us will emit
The Love and Joy that Jesus Displayed
This is my prayer that all I can persuade
That all my living sons and their wives will see
My lost son that has a guarantee
Of everlasting life that we all can attain
If our love for Jehovah we don't break the chain
That our whole family must impart
That we all are "Looking for one Heart"

The Librarian reacted to JW Insider in Fossils are not millions of years old
I made tacos last night. I ate 4. My wife ate 4 (usually eats 2), and my sons came over and ate about 8 between them. I make tacos once every two weeks. Soft corn tortillas are very inexpensive, but I also buy a small box of the crispy "Ortega" hard shells. I find that shopping for the ingredients is simple, because I just imagine a taco and the order in which I always put the items on it. Problem is that the store is set up in such a way that I have to buy the ingredients all out of order. I buy a head of lettuce, a small bag of limes, 2 tomatoes, 1 onion, 1 jalapeno pepper, 1 bunch of cilantro, hard tortillas, salsa, hamburger, cheddar cheese, sour cream, soft tortillas. (Other spices and hot sauce etc are already in the house.) In my youth, I used to fry the soft tortillas in corn oil, but now, I have evolved. I just put a cookie pan in the oven and put a layer of soft tortillas on the bottom and then stand up the hard tortillas on top of them, and another flat layer of soft tortillas on top of the hard ones. This way the crispy ones will bake but will be protected from getting too brown on the portion that is nearest the electric elements of the oven. I can start shopping at 5pm and be completely done chopping the ingredients, cooking the hamburger, and baking the tortillas to serve tacos by 5:55.
I find that the leftover lettuce, cilantro, and salsa doesn't stay fresh enough for two weeks so I use it for salads and spaghetti sauce within the next week. Also, if there are any tortillas, cheese, onions, tomatoes, jalapeno, etc., left over I just sprinkle it all onto flat tortillas and bake them into "chips" for dessert, which can last through the next day.
Sunday morning I make scrambled eggs. But mostly, I like tacos. I'm kind of set in my ways. Like an old fossil.

Thanks Librarian for little "rebuke".  But Fossils (in fact living Creatures at first, before death), in Creation view on matter, will not be possible to find in the ground (or else) and in this topic today too, if the Spirit did not create them. No matter how much we want some words will be part of text no matter of main context.

The Librarian reacted to JW Insider in Ford cancels Mexico plant, expands U.S. factory and adds 700 jobs.
I'm usually very much against conspiracy theories, but there is a common game played in Social Media that supports evidence of a "psyop." For those not aware of the prevalence of psyops on Facebook and Twitter for example, here's a Google provided definition:
Psychological operations (PSYOP) are operations to convey selected information and indicators to audiences to influence their emotions, motives, and objective reasoning, and ultimately the behavior of governments, organizations, groups, and individuals. When Mexico is in the news, for example, someone can find a Trump-positive message that could either provide a catalyst to Trump supporters, or a Trump defense as push-back against Trump detractors.
So let's analyze the above Twitter story for evidence of a "psyop."
First of all, it appears to be new and therefore newsworthy in the face of the "wall" controversy with Mexico. It's dated January 4th, 2019.
But it's not new. It's two year old news masquerading as new news. If you click on the USA Today link, you will see it's from January 2017. That leads to the second piece of "psyop" evidence. Notice that it's not only from January, but is from the exact same day January 4, 2017 to appear as if possibly from January 4, 2019 - only off by a single character. Good enough to pass the IAS (Internet Attention Span).
Ford cancels Mexico plant, expands U.S. factory and adds 700 jobs
Nathan Bomey, USA TODAY Published 11:14 a.m. ET Jan. 3, 2017 | Updated 6:00 p.m. ET Jan. 4, 2017 And of course, the last thing it does is make Ford appear a bit patriotic, or perhaps makes Trump look like a winner.
Curiously, this same piece of news was being discussed in June 2017 after Ford had decided that it would continue with its plans to move to China. Here is the BBC coverage focusin both on the cancellation of Mexico and the move to China instead:
------------remainder of this post contains excerpts from the BBC article :
Ford to move production of US Focus to China
20 June 2017 Image copyright PEDRO PARDO/AFP/Getty Image caption Ford abandoned plans for a new factory in Mexico Ford is to move production of its new Ford Focus car to China in 2019, despite having faced pressure to keep manufacturing jobs in America.
The carmaker said the decision would not lead to layoffs in the US.
But the move marks another change to its plans for producing the new Focus.
The firm in January scrapped plans to move US production to a new $1.6bn (£1.3bn) plant in Mexico after criticism from Donald Trump.
Currently, Ford makes its Focus cars in Michigan, Germany and in China.
    . . .
It may be the president's hands-on style of pressuring companies into bringing production to the US was only effective for a few months.
In January, Ford said it would abandon the new factory and move production to an existing plant in Hermosillo, Mexico instead. At the time, the company said it would use the savings to invest at a different plant in Michigan working on electric cars.
But Tuesday's announcement means Ford will make the new Focus in China, instead of Hermosillo - producing $500m in savings.
    . . .
Ford sold about 67,150 Focus cars in the US in the first five months of 2017, down almost 20% from 2016.

It might be a "stretch", but, how about "The Last Days"?
I Corinthians 15:52 states: "Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed."
Historian David Montaigne noted that it is possible to look into such verses and explore what they might be saying about God's plans concerning Trump.
"I am not suggesting that Donald Trump absolutely *IS* the last trump – but since the LAST TRUMP is one of the most clear and final signs in end times prophecy, can we overlook the possibility that a presidential candidate named Trump is being used as a sign by God?" he posed.
    Coincidence?
Do you REALLY think it's a coincidence that Elizabeth Taylor and Ernest Borgnine were NEVER shown in the same photograph?
    I think NOT!
