The Librarian reacted to Arauna in Fossils are not millions of years old
I left this discussion last year because the fight over semantics was so stupid. Anyone who believes the universe came from nothing or believes that something comes from nothing - one cannot argue with people like that - not worth the effort. It is a totally unscientific statement and even if you say you are a scientist 1000 times, it does not make you a scientist who bases your conclusion on evidence if you really "believe" that statement. To say that a cell "appears" to be designed proves the simplicity of the mind or proves incomprehension or lack of study of the complexity of the cell itself. Nano-biotechnology has proven the complexity. IN any case there are now many papers which prove that collagen, blood vessels and more than 10 proteins have been found together with Carbon 14 in fossils. These samples have been taken on numerous different fossils and every time there is the same result (repeated tests) without contamination.... This proves the fossils are only thousands of years old and not millions.

The Librarian got a reaction from Melinda Mills in Russian Court Convicts 70-Year-Old Arkadya Akopyan
Judge Oleg Golovashko of the Prohladniy District Court in Russia announced the verdict in the case against Brother Arkadya Akopyan on Thursday, December 27. The court sentenced Brother Akopyan, a 70-year-old retired tailor, to 120 hours of community service based on the absurd accusation that he allegedly commissioned non-Witnesses to distribute extremist literature.
While Brother Akopyan was not sentenced to prison, this conviction is a gross violation of human rights. Therefore, the ruling will be appealed to a higher court.
In the coming weeks, we anticipate a judgment on the case involving Dennis Christensen. We pray that Jehovah continues to support and comfort our brothers and sisters in Russia who are facing imprisonment for their faith.—2 Thessalonians 2:16, 17.

You need first to be running Windows, either in boot camp, or in an emulator such as Parallels or VM Fusion. Another option is the WtLibrary 1.11.0 by WtLibrary.net. The 2015 DVD will install inside these programs.

Have Tender Affection for One Another” - “Jehovah Is Very Tender in Affection”
Unpleasant experiences may have left some with the feeling that showing tender affection would lead only to further disappointment.
It takes courage and strong faith for them to open their heart to others once again. But they should never forget that Jehovah “is not far off from each one of us.” He invites us to draw close to him. (Acts 17:27; James 4:8)
He also understands our fear of being hurt, and he promises to stand by us and help us. The psalmist David assures us: “Jehovah is near to those that are broken at heart; and those who are crushed in spirit he saves.”—Psalm 34:18
An intimate friendship with Jehovah is the most important relationship we can cultivate. But is such a bond really possible? Yes.
The Bible reveals how very close righteous men and women felt to our heavenly Father. Their warm expressions have been preserved to give us confidence that we too can draw close to Jehovah.—Psalms 23, 34, 139; John 16:27; Romans 15:4
Jehovah’s requirements for intimacy with him are within the reach of everyone. “O Jehovah, who will be a guest in your tent?” asked David. “He who is walking faultlessly and practicing righteousness and speaking the truth in his heart.” (Psalm 15:1, 2; 25:14)
As we see that serving God produces good fruit and wins us his guidance and protection, we will come to know that “Jehovah is very tender in affection.”—James 5:11
How blessed we are that Jehovah desires to have such a personal relationship with imperfect humans!
Should we not then display tender affection for one another? With Jehovah’s help, each one of us can contribute to and enjoy the tender affection that is characteristic of our Christian brotherhood.
Under God’s Kingdom, everyone on earth will share in this affection forever.

It is as simple as THAT.
Genetics works EXACTLY the same way across all species ... humans included.
All God's critters have DNA ... and barring stray cosmic rays or other interference, there are Universal Rules of how this happens.

    1942_Peace_Can_It_Last.pdf
"Peace, Can It Last?" Audio lecture given September 20, 1942 by Nathan H. Knorr at a convention of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Knorr had been elected President of the Watchtower Society (Jehovah's Witnesses) earlier that year succeeding J.F. Rutherford. Noting statements by leaders of the Allied countries regarding the creation of the United Nations as a successor to the defunct League of Nations, Knorr predicts "that the religious organization with headquarters at Vatican City, will ride and exercise guiding influence over the League beast." Knorr further states "it is time for the nations to take note that religion's ambition, under the lead of the Vatican's Hierarchy, to dominate the earth is but the demons' idea and purpose to tighten control of this earth and its people and thereby hold control of all in opposition to Jehovah God and in denial of His universal domination!" Knorr concludes with a prediction that the post-war peace will be very short: "Once again we ask the leading question, PEACE — Can It Last? and God's definite answer is, No! Man-made peace under religion's 'blessing' will be very short-lived, and political kings and rulers will not long enjoy it. The record says they 'receive power as kings ONE HOUR with the beast'. 'One hour,' with God, denotes a very brief time; and suddenly those ten horns and the beast will go into perdition, not peacefully, but violently, at the battle of Armageddon." PDF copy of lecture can also be downloaded.

This is a very old public talk by Brother Nathan H Knorr in the middle of WW2 when Hitler was winning the war in 1942. This is the talk that was referred to in the September 15th Watchtower, study edition 2012, page 29 par 7. It was given at a convention of JWs in Ohio USA by Bro Knorr on September 20 1942.
This Talk in 1942 identified the wild beast of Revelation Chapter 17 as the yet to come United Nations which appeared in 1945, 3 years after this talk was given. It has very interesting thoughts on the destruction of religion at the hands of the United Nations and that WW2 was NOT going to end with Armageddon (like many thought it would) because there was yet a time of relative peace to come in which a great preaching work was yet to be done. This talk shows that the Jehovah's witnesses knew what was yet in the future after 1942 as regards the appearance of the UN and the destruction of all religion at the hands of the UN which is yet still in the near future.
THIS TALK PROVES ONCE AND FOR ALL TIME THAT THE JEHOVAHS WITNESSES HAVE NEVER HAD ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE UNITED NATIONS AS YOU CAN SEE FROM LISTENING TO THE TALK FROM 28 MIN ONWARDS.
This talk also shows that the Jehovahs witnesses were expecting Germany and Hitler to lose the war even though they were winning the war when this speech was given in 1942.

The Librarian reacted to Joan Kennedy in Hayden C. Covington
I met Br. Covington when he came out to Seattle in 1958  to argue a brother’s draft case before the federal court.  My husband had been fighting his draft case since the early fifties, and he expected a trial soon. Since my husband and the brother being represented by Br Covington had the same local attorney, I was introduced to Br Covington. He was very kind and encouraging to me, and I will always remember that encounter. He later wrote my husband, giving him advice on how to proceed with his expected trial. As it turned out, the brother lost his case and was sentenced to McNeil penitentiary, while the Justice Department later decided they wouldn’t win my husband’s case.  The local draft board didn’t give up, and he fought the draft until 1967 during the Vietnam war.
I’ve often wondered how our younger brothers here would have  handled the intense pressure by the authorities and incarceration if the draft had continued to this date.

    *** w1955 7/1 411    Christian Baptism for the New World Society ***
15 A Christian, therefore, cannot be baptized in the name of the one actually doing the immersing or in the name of any man, nor in the name of any organization, but in the name of the Father, the Son and the holy spirit. This shows, among other things, that Christianity is not a denominational affair, that sects have nothing to do with it. “Does the Christ exist divided? Paul was not impaled for you, was he? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul? I am thankful I baptized none of you except Crispus and Gaius, so that no one may say that you were baptized in my name.”—1 Cor. 1:13-15, NW.
    *** w1966 10/1 603-4  Serving with Everlasting Life in View ***
15 This is what we mean when we dedicate our lives to Jehovah. We do not dedicate ourselves to a religion, nor to a man, nor to an organization. No, we dedicate ourselves to the Supreme Sovereign of the Universe, our Creator, Jehovah God himself. This makes dedication a very personal relationship between us and Jehovah.

    *** w1958 8/1 478  Baptism ***
22 It is essential that with the mouth a public declaration of faith be made. Two
questions are therefore asked the candidates: (1) Have you recognized yourself before Jehovah God as a sinner who needs salvation, and have you acknowledged to him that this salvation proceeds from him, the Father, through his Son Jesus Christ? (2) On the basis of this faith in God and in his provision for salvation have you dedicated yourself unreservedly to God to do his will henceforth as he reveals it to you through Jesus Christ and through the Bible under the enlightening power of the holy spirit? 23 Everyone who can answer “Yes” to these questions is eligible for baptism and should take this step without hesitation or delay.
    *** w1960 5/15 308  "What Prevents Me from Getting Baptized?" ***
23 The first question is: Have you recognized yourself before Jehovah God as a sinner who needs salvation, and have you acknowledged to him that this salvation proceeds from him, the Father, through his Son Jesus Christ?
24 The second question is: On the basis of this faith in God and in his provision for salvation have you dedicated yourself unreservedly to God to do his will henceforth as he reveals it to you through Jesus Christ and through the Bible under the enlightening power of the holy spirit?
25 Everyone who has answered “Yes” to these two questions is eligible for baptism and should be baptized at that same circuit or district assembly of Jehovah’s witnesses.
    *** w1973 5/1 280  Baptizing Follows Discipling ***
we suggest that you consider the following two questions, which are asked of
    candidates for baptism:
    (1) Have you repented of your sins and turned around, recognizing yourself before Jehovah God as a condemned sinner who needs salvation, and have you acknowledged to him that this salvation proceeds from him, the Father, through his SonJesus Christ?
    (2) On the basis of this faith in God and in his provision for salvation, have you dedicated yourself unreservedly to God to do his will henceforth as he reveals it to you through Jesus Christ and through the Bible under the enlightening power of the holy spirit?
If you find that you can answer “YES” to these questions, then it would be appropriate for you to speak to the presiding overseer in the congregation of Jehovah’s witnesses with which you associate, with a view to getting baptized.
    ------------------------------------
    *** w1985 6/1 30     Subjecting Ourselves to Jehovah by Dedication ***
    The first question is:
On the basis of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, have you repented of your sins and dedicated yourself to Jehovah to do his will?
    The second is:
Do you understand that your dedication and baptism identify you as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in association with God’s spirit-directed organization?
Having answered yes to these questions, candidates are in a right heart condition to undergo Christian baptism.
*** w1987 4/15 12  Gaining Peace With God Through Dedication and Baptism ***
By baptism you identify yourself as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in association with God’s worldwide congregation.
*** w87 4/15 12  Gaining Peace With God Through Dedication and Baptism ***
Recently the two questions addressed to baptismal candidates were simplified so that candidates could answer with full comprehension of what is involved in coming into intimate relationship with God and his earthly organization.
    *** w1989 1/15 13  What Prevents You From Getting Baptized? ***
for the first of two questions the speaker asks them is: “On the basis of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, have you repented of your sins and dedicated yourself to Jehovah to do his will?” Only if the individual answers in the affirmative and also understands that his dedication and baptism identify him as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in association with God’s spirit-directed organization can he acceptably undergo water immersion.
*** knowledge 176  18 Make It Your Aim to Serve God Forever ***
Baptism ‘in the name of the holy spirit’ signifies that the baptismal candidate
recognizes Jehovah’s holy spirit, or active force, as God’s instrument for carrying out His purposes and for empowering His servants to do His righteous will in association with His spirit-directed organization.

The Librarian reacted to NicholasMarks in "Hell-Fire does not exist" - Pope Francis
I can give a good account of hell. It is a fiery lake of sulphur which is a celestial, rogue body that is part of a rogue celestial system coming into our solar space even as we speak. It is already causing 'great tribulations' all over the world and is causing Satan to take, what he considers, to be evasive action. But we know that all those written about in Revelation 21:8 will be spiritually sucked into its gravitational embrace when it leaves our space and is centrifugally hurled back out into space leaving all those wearing Jesus Christ's righteous armour to get on with things in a new heaven and a new Earth along with a new universal science which will confirm everything that Jesus said and did as being totally, absolutely, and wonderfully true...and an eternity of loving care and responsible happiness to get use to the idea.
It may seem brutal but Almighty God, Jehovah and Jesus Christ hold them entirely responsible for all the chaos over the past 2000 years and which would continue unabated if they can't be bothered to repent in a meaningful way before their Judgement.
