The International Monetary Fund (IMF), a body of 189 countries working to keep the global economy in check, released its annual report, the World Economic Outlook. 
The diagnosis? All vital signs look good. The IMF predicts the world economy will grow 3.6% by the end of 2017 and 3.7% the following year (compared to 3.2% in 2016).
For you macro nerds out there, that would be the fastest growth this decade and brings us back to the 30-year global average.
So nothing to worry about, right?
Uhhh, maybe. What’s a yearly checkup without the doc taking your blood pressure? Confidence in the global economy and low borrowing costs saw the G20 nations pile up $135 trillion in debt (or 235% of collective GDP). Before the financial crisis, that ratio peaked at 210%. 
As for who’s to blame for the credit craze, you can thank the usual suspects, the U.S. and China, for contributing two-thirds of the $80 trillion increase since 2006. 
But there are more warning signs. 
When the IMF checked in with the 30 most influential global banks (together, holding $47 trillion in assets), it found a few warts. Nine of the banks, including Barclays, Citigroup, and Deutsche Bank, might check their pockets only to find them empty during the next financial downturn. That’s because they aren’t hitting the IMF’s cutoff of an 8% return on equity (ROE) to remain sustainable.
What does this mean for you?
No, the IMF isn’t recommending you stash your savings in your mattress and order the Bear Grylls Survival Kit from www.doomsdayprep.com.
The good times should keep rolling providing no global market shocks, which could include: the termination of Nafta (more on this later), geopolitical crises, and an increase in protectionist policies…looking at you, Brexit. And if emerging markets (like China, India, and Brazil) can trim excessive borrowing, you can keep that survival kit in the box.

1. Watchtowers and Awakes won't be released regularly, at least three Watchtower and Awakes per year. 6 magazines a year.
2. A new book is being released: Remain in God's Love, more of an update like how they did for the What Does the Bible Really Teach book. And it will be released 2018-2019
3. Study Watchtowers will now be simplified or rather be in a simple language in two years from now.
Did anyone catch something else?

Thought you guys might like to see the cool, special sign that's been posted outside Wallkill Bethel this week, for annual mtg/dedication. 

The focus is misplaced! Our loyalty is to Jehovah and Jesus only.  If we accept that the slave is being used by Jehovah we will do all in our power to keep our lives free from wrong and cooperate with them and make sure we do not contribute to Jehovah (and the people associated with his name) to be dragged through the mud! ... 
Unfortunately -  We are all (no matter how faithful we think we are) full of deviation (miss the mark ) - this is the reality of life!  If we do not recognize this fact, then we say we have no sin!  Then we do not need the ransom sacrifice. 
MY brother was in prison for the truth as a young man - he did not mention the offenses to me - but he told me that he was disgusted with some bad habits he saw there which are human deviations and take time to get rid of.  When people live in close proximity under stressful conditions these things tend to come to the surface. Seriously wrong things also occurred and people were dis-fellowshipped and other brothers had to avoid them. This created an extremely difficult situation for all. 
To my mind a place like Bethel is not a natural way of living and hence it is only a place for the strong.  One can see the frailty of human deviation and personality defects up-front - and it may come as a shock to the inexperienced person on the road of life. However, some are prepared to make the sacrifice to go and serve there.  However, we make it a kind of prestige thing - which is wrong.  The wish to service is a wonderful motivation but the underlying culture of prestige is wrong.  This demonstrates the quick way in which humans like to put themselves on pedestals or want to think of themselves as the cream of the crop.  Then they are shocked to see and discover feet of clay!  It takes great effort to stay humble because our imperfection makes us always come up with ways to justify ourselves or make us think we are "good". This is why I always avoid giving honor to people who came from Bethel and hate it when I hear others do this.  Often they have a superior attitude which I find telling.  I used to call them the spiritual elite because they act in that sinful way - but have stopped doing that.
We are all - just "people" like everyone else who is NOT serving Jehovah. The only way we are different to others:- we have been privileged to learn the future plans of Jehovah and dedicated ourselves Him and left the most debased of sins.  However, we need to "progress" with the help of the holy spirit.  If we only have a little bit of that spirit or we do not make an effort to ask and receive it and work in harmony with it - then we can soon find ourselves deviating from what is right.  I believe we can only stay in the truth if we have Jehovah's spirit......and some seem to barely make it because they are focusing more on other things - be it personal goals or just the stress of raising a family.
All people are imperfect.  The problem is that we have pink glasses on regarding our brothers when they actually are people who are fighting their own bad inclinations all the time. Yes we expect a high level of change in their lives and would like to think them perfect when they are not.  Two of the anointed in the time of the apostles dropped down dead after they had lied about the properties they had sold.  One anointed person was dis-fellowshipped because he had slept with his mother! ....and others were not condemning it! Some of our brothers who get dis-fellowshipped have committed multiple sins -  not just one - and then to crown it become rebellious when they are corrected! Judas was sinning over a long period of time! before he betrayed him.
I do not want to sound preachy - but we all know this - but we tend to have a blind eye to this.
We have to be very forgiving sometimes - be a bit more like Jehovah - who has seen all the wickedness right throughout mankind's history and that of his people (from ancient times till now).  We do have good examples in the Bible - but many of them also had serious flaws.  So when we see this we know that Jehovah is truly merciful and we keep on because we know that he is aware that we are imperfect flesh. He knows when we are sincere and doing all that is necessary to progress.
So - the expectation that others must be without serious flaw is fundamentally wrong!  

Wasn't there mention of there now being a retirement home for old and infirm Bethelites at Warwick?
And a discarded understanding has been brought back about the 'vindication of God's name' - it's OK to use that term again.
 

This will be the last year for yearbooks.

End of a long era. Yearbooks have been produced for about 90 years!
But seeing as personal experiences and regional JW news stories are video presentations now, I guess it makes the Yearbooks redundant.

- it started with the study of the watchtower with the theme: the peace of God overcomes all thought.
- a very clear explanation and understanding was made between the difference in spiritual paradise and spiritual temple.
- a nice video was presented before the dedication speech showing all the buildings that will be dedicated.
- Brother Gerrit Loesch is giving the dedication speech.
- the prayer of dedication has been given at this time.
- our new world headquarters is now dedicated to Jehovah!
- Brother Geoffrey Jackson reads the greetings from different parts of the world. The list began with Albania and ended with Zambia.
- the speech is now being given to the text of next year, a new understanding and changes in the ministry.
- a video is being seen on the screens about all those who were in the building of the world headquarters at Warwick.
- Brother Jackson explains that the Apostle Paul learns about the arrangement to worship Jehovah. Of Ezekiel we learn the model to worship Jehovah.
- Brother David Splane gave an emotional speech based on Ezekiel's book.

At the televised Annual Meeting today at the Kingdom Hall the last four speakers were
1. GB member Samuel Herd
2. GB Member Stephen Lett
3. GB Member Geoffery Jackson, and
4. GB Member Anthony Morris III.
I THINK I heard Bo. Morris say that starting January 1st, 2018 ( among many other things...) each issue of the Watchtower would be on ONE subject ONLY, and that as a carpenter uses the same tools in his toolbox, over and over, that the Watchtower was only going to be ONE issue a YEAR.
Did I hear that correctly?
