THE  BLUE  BLOOD - MOON....
The  *blue super blood full moon*  is approaching !   ENJOY

At the beginning of January we were already able to admire a super full moon. But the highlight of the month is yet to come: On the 31st, there is another super full moon, which is also a *blood moon* and a *blue moon*.
The year 2018 began with a super-full moon: on the night of January 2, the Earth's moon shone brighter and bigger than usual. But that was far from everything for this month. On the 31st of January, the moon will be waiting for almost every feature it has to offer. There is a blue super blood full moon darkness coming up.
The night star then comes very close to the earth and therefore appears up to 14 % larger  from the ground.  So it's a super moon again.

At the same time, the earth pushes between the sun and the moon. The long-wave sunlight that streams past the earth bathes the moon in a dark red light. The phenomenon is called Blood Full Moon. And because it's the second full moon in a month, it's also called the blue moon.
People can watch the spectacle directly, especially in North America, Australia, New Zealand and eastern Russia. In Europe it is bright daylight when the big moon spectacle takes place. Here, people have to be satisfied with media coverage.  But that too could be worthwhile.
Because all three events come together in one moment is extremely rare.
According to  NASA,  the last time was more than 150 years ago.
 

I once met this sad little lizard who was well aware that he was a small reptile in a very large pond, and the only thing he had to sustain him is the idea that he came from a long line of Dinosaurs, that once ruled the Earth.
There is not that much happiness in the world, so I did not discourage him .... and told him he was a very fine Dinosaur, with all the respect and consideration a great and terrible Lizard should have.

I much prefer to be addressed as "Master of Space, Time and Dimension", and thought about changing my name ... but alas .... it will not fit on my Driver's License, and would be a complete fantasy.

I grew up with Hula Hoops being the societal crazy thing of the time ... my children grew up with Pokemon Cards, and Sonic the Hedgehog video games.
In 2015-2016 it seemed that Caleb and Sophia Merchandise, purses, briefcases, pins, buttons, slacks, suspenders and bow ties, and pictures, back car window decals, book covers, wall posters, 3d dolls like GB Bro. Anthony Morris III has in his Bethel Office, Videos, DVDs, coloring books, decorated birthd...er... baptism cakes, stand up displays, literature bags, greeting cards, Sophia colorful tote bags for girls, and Sophia cloth shopping bags for Wal-Mart, etc., book markers, key chains, 3d Printer statues of Caleb, ball point pens, and penlights, pins and brooches for older Sisters, and cartoon wall hangings for the inside of Caleb and Sophia dioramas, or JW.ORG men's ties, lapel pins, wristwatches, aluminum military style dog tags, rings, aluminum pendants for neck chains and charm bracelets, car bumper stickers, car window decals, women's pocket mirrors, flags to tie to radio aerials, etc. . Then there is the JW.ORG blue oversized umbrellas, Unisex Hoodie Jackets, neck lanyards, hand lunch boxes with Paradise scenes, and of course Caleb and Sophia., and to contrast, from Peru, a BRIGHT Pink Caleb and Sophia Bible cover entitled New World Translation of the HOLY SCRIPTURES ... over a large picture of guess whom?
Of course the refrigerator magnets and motivational jewelry are big sellers, not so much for the Caleb crochetable doll ..were the craze and along with the JW.ORG logo seem to suck all the air out of the room.
It is my perception that the "crazy years" have passed, or that it has become the new standard.
Has the MADNESS over Caleb and Sophia subsided?

I had not seen this!  Love the photo!  Praise Jehovah!  He needs his ministers back in Armenia. So they are now fee.  What a relief for the famlies. 

This is not hard.
It is their material. They want to control its distribution. They have voiced no objection whatsoever to linking to their material. When you do this, it always remains obvious that it is theirs. @Anna
But if you reproduce it - pictures, logo, articles, anything from their art department - it suggests to the casual reader that you are them. And you are not. If you are a liar trying to misrepresent their work, the problem is obvious.
But even if you are a friend you should not suggest that you are them because each of us has his/her own hangups.
I can be crass and sarcastic. I like homeopathy. I comment on things political from time to time (they don't do it at all). If I do this on my own, I am okay. If I do it and include a link to something of theirs, I am okay. If I do it and reproduce the jw.org logo or some picture, I am not okay because I am suggesting I am them and that they identify with my views. The discerning reader will know it is not so, but not all readers are discerning. Most are not.
Many brothers on Facebook reproduce their artwork, thinking it is fine because they are faithful. They shouldn't. I won't say i have never done it before. I don't think I have ever done it here, but I have done it a handful of times on Facebook. I won't anymore. 
Primarily, they are not 'laying down the law' for the vile people. The vile people will not listen to them anyway. They may have to be confronted legally. But it is more challenging to do this when every Tom Dick and Harry of a Witness is also reproducing their work, thinking it is okay because they are friends.
 

Who are you? Brother or ex-brother? I'm just worried about your negative sound of your questions and comments. Please, talk with the elders about these questions or contact JW headquarters, I'm sure that they can give you answers for your questions or direct you where to find the answer.
BTW,  my husband divorced me and I spent 8 years alone. Then some of my friends went to check him out and his neighbors confirmed that he was living there with some woman.  After that brothers came to me and said that I'm free to marry again if I wish.

Who can say what God is thinking? 
Perhaps it is a way a demonstrating he considers marriage a covenant sacrosanct. I can think of two who complied with it for many years before finally becoming free.
Much of it, I would think, depends upon how you regard this life. If this life is all there is, then such a policy is tremendously burdensome. If one regards this life as a forerunner to the real life of 1 Timothy 6:19, then it is less so.

Big Headed Caterpillar is it Real? ~

Take a look at this photo. I thought it looked like something right out of a Disney Pixar movie or something. Why would a caterpillar need a head that large? (Hey, I bet it would work great as a fish lure!!)
Anyway, despite my misgivings, it turns out this animal is real! It’s called a “Big Headed Caterpillar of Phyllodes imperialis”.
IÂ’m afraid to ask what that is going to grow into!
Turns out Phyllodes imperialis is a group of fruit sucking moths, and this is one of them in its caterpillar stage. Native to Australia (northern Queensland), Papua New Guinea, and the Solomon Islands, these feisty bugs present a formidable demeanor when bothered by animals hunting for food. It draws itself up and stretches its skin until it looks like a large animal with two blue-black eyes and several rows of teeth between them. HereÂ’s a closer shot of that:
When the time comes, this caterpillar spins itself into a cocoon, and undergoes its metamorphosis into the Fruit Sucking Moth itÂ’s destined to be.
Not much is known about these caterpillars/moths as they live in dense rainforests in the areas mentioned and havenÂ’t been studied to the extent that scientists would like.

I am "not in the market" for Sisters, anymore ... but the next time I am at an assembly I will count how many brothers and sisters there are.
It's really quite simple to do ... because they are wearing either non-tight pants ... or skirts ... just count the legs, and divide by two.

Something similar happens when you put out a contract to have someone killed, when you are too old or disinclined to do it yourself.
Your "hit man" does your bidding, but it can be traced back to you.
So you get a second "hit man" to bump off the first one.
Then you get a third one to off the second one, etc., etc.
..... but ultimately, it's free !
By the way, with the Hatfields and McCoys, the reason that stopped their feuding is the Hatfields, most of them I am told, became Jehovah's Witnesses. It may or may not be true, as I have forgotten where I got that info ... so just consider it an old man's fairy tale.
However, I had the distinct pleasure of dancing with Libby Hatfield, of Chattaroy, West Virginia, at a "gathering" in Roanoke, Virginia., circa 1976.

Agree a person cannot train his conscience by taking decisions wholesale from others.
 
 

One thing to consider when giving "theocratic policy advice" ... it has to make common sense ... in ALL cultures.
It has to be a DIRECT transfer of information from the Bible, without adulterating it with culturally induced prejudices. Many people feel things to the very marrow of their bones like a ravenous hunger .. that are not scriptural.
The reason we have "new light" is because of sloppy, incompetent thinking in the past.  Years from now those with a conscience will be lamenting the damage they created with what they taught TODAY.
Hopefully lamenting ...
... as they bear, as I do, PERSONAL MORAL RESPONSIBILITY for screwing up peoples lives. I ruined several peoples' lives with bad advice, with the ABSOLUTE best of intentions ... but their lives were still ruined ... and I could not fix it.
This also happens on an institutional level as official policy decisions that are not REALLY scripturally based ... ruins hundreds of thousands of lives, by leaders ALSO presumably with the very best of intentions.
The responsibility to have and use a trained conscience is not that of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Soclety. 
It is ours alone.
In the February 2017 Watchtower, they were eventually and FINALLY forced by outside sources (ARC) to admit in print that they were neither inspired of God, or infallible.
That means you have to check EVERYTHING they say ... just as in the early church, the Bereans did, and compare it with what is reasonable, and makes common sense.
Fortunately for us at the bottom, justice from Jehovah is  tempered with mercy for blind pawns.   (John 9:41)
 
 

How do you keep the 2006 one from updating?
I have CDs from 2005, my personal copies of books from the '60s.  I stopped taking printed bound volumes from last year.  The old song books seemed to have disappeared. I have only from 1984. When you leave home, a lot of stuff if left and eventually gets lost or thrown out.  I recently found a well kept almost unused copy of the Let God Be True book, but then I realized it came from my husband's family, brought over by him.  It is good to keep these old books to compare. 

I never advise people what to do on "theocratic matters"  ... I only give them information.
As a younger man, full of righteous zeal, my "theocratic" policy advice ruined several people's lives, and it cannot be corrected.
As today's WT study pointed out for the first time, in the last few paragraphs .... there is infinite variety to motives.
