(Psalm 65:2) O Hearer of prayer, to you people of all sorts will come.
"(Acts 10:1-5) . . .Now there was a man in Caes·a·reʹa named Cornelius, an army officer in what was called the Italian unit. 2 He was a devout man who feared God together with all his household, and he made many gifts of mercy to the people and made supplication to God continually. 3 About the ninth hour of the day, he saw plainly in a vision an angel of God come in to him and say: “Cornelius!” 4 Cornelius stared at him, terrified, and asked: “What is it, Lord?” He said to him: “Your prayers and gifts of mercy have ascended as a remembrance before God. 5 So now send men to Jopʹpa and summon a man named Simon who is called Peter. . ."
Supplication is fervent intense prayer.  We all know the outcome of that - that Cornelius became a believer and holy spirit came upon him and that he became the first believer (Christian)  from among the non-Jews.
Many more scriptures abound to prove that Jehovah listens to all types of people who are sincere in their search for Him.  That is why we have so many accounts of people who were desperate and they prayed to God and then they heard a knocking at their door, and as usual Jehovah's Witneses (who are working with the angels (Rev 14:6)) were there to help.
The person asking the question should also review chapter 17 in the Bible Teach book.  There is nothing there that says he cannot have a relationship with Jehovah and pray to him immediately if you are sincere.  See scripture below.
(Psalm 145:18, 19) 18 Jehovah is near to all those calling on him, To all who call on him in truth. ר [Resh] 19 He satisfies the desire of those who fear him; He hears their cry for help, and he rescues them.
 
However, in time you will make a dedication to Jehovah in prayer. So you need to be in the habit of praying to Him. You will symbolize your dedication by water baptism later, making it public. 
(Romans 10:10) 10 For with the heart one exercises faith for righteousness, but with the mouth one makes public declaration for salvation. . .
(Hebrews 4:14-16) 14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold on to our public declaration of him. 15 For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tested in all respects as we have, but without sin. 16 Let us, then, approach the throne of undeserved kindness with freeness of speech, so that we may receive mercy and find undeserved kindness to help us at the right time.

In what a world we're living?  Chicken are so clever and special animals, I read stories  of different long time sisters   So funny, special and loving. Sister Beth is weekly writing from her chicks, hens and roosters...  funny and sad stories. And always fresh eggs, wow !  In Germany we just have again an egg catastrophe !  I buy rare but the best eggs. Sometimes now from the farmer, they have not this chemie inside !  And I love fresh potatoes, veggies, fruits and more??  Noodle salad, on hot days cold. Or I cook chinese, thats ready in max. 20 min. and SO tasty. Ca.8 €  for 3-4 persons. For us 4 € !  I love yummy eating and mostly fresh??
 

Though some carry on about it more than you think they should, nobody can ever say that in a lifetime of service to God, you won’t experience some injustice. It is not business-as-usual routine, but when it does happen, it can be serious. All the more so because you expect trouble from the general world, but not from the brotherhood. When it comes, it throws you for a loop. It is like the verse quoted in the Watchtower study this week, Psalm 55: 12-14:
“For it is not an enemy who taunts me; Otherwise I could put up with it. It is not a foe who has risen up against me; otherwise I could conceal myself from him. But it is you, a man like me, my own companion, whom I know well. We used to enjoy a warm friendship together; into the house of God we used to walk along with the multitude.”
The study article was illustrated with one real-life injustice, and one from the scriptures. A Brother Diehl from 1949 is mentioned. He caught all kinds of heat when he decided to marry. Brothers were all serious back then about single persons in the circuit or Bethel work remaining single, a situation that was not resolved, legend has it, until Brother Knorr himself married. Now THAT’S human! Let nobody say that these guys aren’t. Diehl could certainly be understood if he bellyached about it, but it wouldn’t do him any good. All he could do was get others stirred up. So he waited it out. He was right, but he didn’t make a big deal over it. Eventually, everyone came around. He took it on the chin for a while.
The example from scripture is more serious. Joseph was sold out by his brothers and ended up in slavery. A silver lining eventually materialized and he became a big cheese in Potipher’s house, then he was slammed again and sent to prison for 13 years. Believe me, I would whine plenty about it, but if Joseph did, there is no record of it. What the record shows is that overall he allowed it to mold him:
But now do not be upset and do not reproach one another because you sold me here; because God has sent me ahead of you for the preservation of life … So, then, it was not you who sent me here, but it was the true God, in order to appoint me as chief adviser to Pharoah and lord for all his house and ruler over all the land of Egypt. (Genesis 45:5-8)
He didn’t know he would be appointed chief adviser to Pharoah until he was, and had he moaned forever about his kidnapping and later imprisonment, he wouldn’t have been. Everyone could have understood him bitching, but it wouldn’t have done him any good. People screw things up. Usually, their motive is not bad, but sometimes it is, as in Joseph’s case. Often, you don’t have the power to fix things. You do have the power, however, to make them worse.

My previous comment was neither opposed to putting faith in Jehovah and the FDS, nor respecting and being loyal to Jehovah and the ones taking the lead. It was also not opposed to being obedient to those taking the lead and being submissive.  And also not opposed to the idea that Jehovah has his organization in complete control.
So what was your point?

I am so, SO glad it has been resolved.
It has absolutely NO application to my life, that I can do anything about, BUT, it's like watching people pick, and pick and PICK at their dandruff ... it's SO hard to look away.
The ONLY "saving grace" is that when on our deathbeds, we will get all this time back, spent discussing how many angels can dance on the head of a pin ... but ONLY to check our emails.

Continue to have the family worship/study that is four to five hours a month.  You should endeavour also to study with persons outside your family not just your family. That is probably where the suggestion/rule that limits to about 4 hours, 4 return visits, etc., comes in.  It is an encouragement not to just rely on your family (captive audience) for your field service time.
But your children are your most important disciples.
I agree that it is your responsibility to study with your children and not that of other people in the congregation. This was brought to our attention several times in past study material.
The important thing is to reach the children  and teach them while they are malleable and you have the energy.  They will leave the nest before you get around to doing everything you wish to do for them.  Each child is an individual and will have unique challenges. You might even have different material for each of them. While you have the energy  (yes, it is hard work) be generous with your time, you will be happy later on knowing you did your best for each one and you were not inconsistent or careless.   Bro Joyce quoted a scripture that applies – dare to die (make a sacrifice) for a good person – your children are worth it. Paul said he poured out himself as a drink offering for the congregation, which he frequently referred to as his children.
But I think it is your conscience that would tell you what time you report.  As your service is to Jehovah, he expects an accurate report.  
Jesus said not to bind up many rules on people.  Whenever you can’t find a rule, make your own decision. Use your conscience. Sometimes policy is also unwritten. One person says one thing, the other says something else. It is not important so you make your own decision.
 The suggestion below in the footnote of the w15 11/15 shows that there is nothing wrong with studying with the children individually, as each child might be at a different level of spirituality and development.
Work before “the night comes when no man can work”. Children will grow up to make their own decisions and will not always accept the disciplining of Jehovah (Eph 6:4).Do your utmost to help them and give Jehovah something to bless by working hard to reach their hearts.

I too had four children. You do what you need to do for your children. Yes, it takes time, but it is time well spent. You are not limited to 4 hours a month just like any other study. If you regularly study on say Friday evening then some months you will have 5 studies some months 4. Just be regular at it.
Also, as an elder told me many years ago, the Society could just as well said you cannot count any family study time. After all, most people don't have children so all their bible studies are with truly interested not captive family members. 
Be glad you have the time to study with all of them and make the best of what you have. To soon the time will be when they don't have time for you and will have their own families.

What a comfort it is to know that human suffering is temporary! Under the rule of God’s heavenly Kingdom in the hands of Jesus Christ, injustice and suffering will end. The time for the fulfillment of these prophetic words is very near. We can enjoy everlasting life on a paradise earth under wonderful conditions. (Luke 23:43; John 17:3) Knowledge of these comforting Scriptural promises gives hope and consolation to those crying for help.

How long was a building conversion a religious conversion?
 

His perfect body was offered up as a sacrifice for our sins and has brought many benefits to us now and in the future. That is what  is important.

Unfortunately  - to quote magazines from the distant past - Russel etc. is like trying to wear a Victorian hat in our times - it does not fit in today.  It has its place in the 'development' of  the more modern hats worn in the 20th century-  which lead to us only wearing hats for specific or practical reasons today in the 21st.  (Similarly we have the core teachings today with an emphasis on the personality traits and principles which are preparing us to live in better harmony together under a future government).
I remember the words of Jesus  when he asked Peter if he loved him three times!  The reply to Peter's answer was "feed my sheep."
This is what the "slave" is doing...... feeding the sheep.  We would not understand the Kingdom if it was not for them: it is a government with rulers and subjects; how it will function and what it will do. How it will function on the new earth...and how we should be in serious expectation of it.
Today the buildup of hate and spiritism in all spheres of the earth is tremendous.  Far-left to far-right fascist groups;  black and white racism in Africa and America; tribal divisions; Shia and Sunni divisions; leftist and alt right governments (calling peace when there is no peace- controlling media and free speech); and hateful religions (look what the Talmud and Qur'an teach - you are in for a shock!).  Unfortunately it is not just Islam who wants to rule the entire earth by fighting with literal weapons and killing all in their path  - it is also subtle secret organizations which are also religiously and ideologically inspired; and political involvement by most religions on earth - some are riding the beast....even controlling the UN; and millions of people who are 'awakened' or "illuminated" today - having a façade of spirituality which is controlled by secret agendas...... Spiritism is rife and escalating in many countries with druids, witches, spells, magic and 'muti '(medicines made from children or animals).  
So the slave is teaching us to keep "neutral"; clean, safe and in expectation while in the love of Jehovah".  This they understand 100%. In the eyes of the world we are nuts - like when Moses lead the Israelites into what seemed to be a trap! But this neutrality is very important so that we do not take sides... to keep in love and peace during the conclusion of the end. This neutrality stand tells me I have the truth!.......in the face of all people ready to take sides! It is natural to want to rectify something which is wrong - to become and activist... for a cause one thinks to be righteous!  Some are falling for this trap and helping certain organizations and paying the penalty for it!
Most people will be in support of some sort of killing of others when the time of the end comes... taking matters in fierceness into their own hands. It is the propaganda of demons (using media no doubt) which are going out to the earth - blinding all -  and gathering them together for Armageddon.... when brother will kill brother.  (note: What made very nice German people kill innocent people or stand back and do nothing or support the killing?  It was an ideology/a philosophical way of thinking which gave the 'justification' for it.  Mankind has not learnt its lessons from the past ... we are going the same way again .....just on a much grander scale!
The new age groups sound all "spiritual" - but what secret organizations are lying behind their teachings?  The new post-modernist philosophies which are touted by the far left - who say that all religions are good and there is no right or wrong and who have rejected the Bible and want to destroy it - who is behind this? The alt-right are openly a bunch of killers. One gets a shock once one discovers who have the purse strings to the world and who have control of the media.... Yes satan is blinding the eyes of many. The Bible is now a book ( and soon will) carry the scorn of most worldly people.  
Yet - we have time to waste to shift the meanings of words and dates.  It is not going to change the responsibility of the commission given to us to preach the kingdom and teach the qualities necessary to maintain neutrality and stay innocent /uninvolved of the wickedness of the earth. There is a time for everything - and now is the time to obey - and preach. Buy out the opportune time!  Leave the OCD.... behind and use the time to preach!  Preaching will save you as Rom 10 says.
To me - I see the birth pains are getting more intense.  Jehovah does nothing without giving us some indication of where we stand in the space of  time.  He is a loving father .  We have seen the wars and the RUMORS (media) of wars BUT this is not the end yet.  So these signs should get us ready for what is waiting ahead of us. We have rumors of wars, more earth quakes, potentially more serious diseases than the 1918 influenza - (although this was a killer-illness on a massive scale. ) 
'Security' is an issue as far-left and far-right take matters into their own hands (and do not forget that the far left is supporting islam, and cultural marxism.  There are many forms of supremacism (check out islam and Zionism).  So which are going to prevail and fill the void when problems erupt?  We will find out when it happens.  At moment China is posturing; Russia is posturing,  USA and Turkey are posturing (showing their iron) while many other countries are placating the humanists and humanitarians (clay). 
All this is a cooking pot which possibly could suddenly explode - the longer it cooks the bigger the explosion - all at once! It will be a sudden decision to turn against religion and call for peace and security!  They will use the weapon arsenals they have and whatever means they have during this time.   There will be a period of the eye of the storm (similar to what happened in Jerusalem in 70AD -  a respite) - this is when we bring the message of wrath with the possibility of losing our lives!
This will be a sign from Jehovah and maybe other signs which will make the nations turn on us in hate. The end will happen as fast as a vase is falling!  
The buildup is happening as we speak! So -the major signs have been!  It is now the time of propaganda of Satan Rev 16:14-16

Hello to all my spiritual brothers and sisters! It's been a while since I've posted a topic! I chose the topic "Never Give Up on Jehovah" because three weeks ago my life changed! I was involved in a car wreck! This guy was speeding down his street, I stopped at the stop sign, then I proceeded to go, then he hit me! I hit my chest and couldn't breathe! Someone called 911, the ambulance came, I just suffered some bruises! I'm ok now, thanks to Jehovah, physically,  and not as sore as I was! The police came and wrote down our insurance information! My car had to be towed to the Dallas Police Pound where it's still there! I filed a claim against him, he filed a claim against me!  I'm still waiting to hear from my insurance adjuster! I've had to listen to my meetings over the telephone! But, even though I'm not there, my heart is! They always keep us in their prayers! I attended my meeting Sunday, a week ago! Everyone was so happy to see me! My eyes teared up seeing my spiritual family again! A very sweet sister, picked me up, took me on Saturday, to have a share in our regional convention campaign work! Were in our second week! I would also like to add, when we finished working our street, Jehovah's angels were protecting us, a sister came and told us not to work that street! A mentally ill couple had a baseball bat swinging at Jehovah's Witnesses, because they were mad at us and they hated us!  Our "DONT GIVE UP" regional convention is days away! August 25-27! I'm so excited!  She and I signed up to clean our section were assigned to after each session is over for the day! My very sweet spiritual sister is taking me and her two children, all 3 days!  I haven't worked in two weeks, my son paid my bills, I have one more check this week, it just  goes to pay my rent! Yes, I'm human, I've cried, but mainly,  I pray to Jehovah to give me the strength to cope with my present situation! The blessing Jehovah has bestowed upon me, is some sisters told me Sunday, about a job, being a caregiver for a sister! Today, I found out I got the job! I thanked Jehovah for taking care of not only my spiritual needs, but my physical needs! As of July 29, this year I've been baptized 45 years! I'm so proud to be hi s loyal servant!  I hope you like my topic I chose to write about! I know no matter what I go through I will never give up on Jehovah! He knows what we face in Satan's wicked  world! I hope everyone has a great weekend!  No matter what you are facing,  pray to Jehovah to help you!  Agape love, Shirley!

In Bible times, towers were sometimes built in the wilderness as safe places of refuge. But it was up to the one in danger to flee to such a tower to find safety. It is similar with finding refuge in God’s name. This involves more than just repeating God’s name; the divine name itself is no magic charm.

Rather, we need to know and trust the Bearer of that name and live in harmony with his righteous standards. How kind of Jehovah to reassure us that if we turn to him in faith, he will be a tower of protection for us!

I was thinking that maybe best not to put any news or pictures of anything or anyone in Russia  before or after the ban. Please remember thst country is very good at digging for secrets which could cause our brother/sisters lasting harm. Best Russian news in any other country/congregation

I don't know where he got his information. I just checked both the German study edition and Spanish study edition and he is incorrect. In Spanish they used " relación lesbiana cuando. In German they used einer lesbischen Beziehung

What is your point about this? Wong desires are wrong desires. Realizing what Jehovah requires may change that over time, but until then a person will have to decide what they want most: to serve Jehovah or be a slave to things that he hates.
