This appears to be valuable information, more valuable than the word of God.
Titus 2:21 - "You, however, must teach what is appropriate to sound doctrine."
Titus 1:9 - "He must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught, so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it."
Looks like the GB is opposing sound doctrine with their dictatorial scare tactic.  They are essentially, opposing the word of God.
1 Tim 6:2-5 "This is the sort of thing you should teach, and if anyone tries to teach some doctrinal novelty which is not compatible with sound teaching (which we base on Christ’s own words and which leads to Christ-like living), then he is a conceited idiot! His mind is a morbid jumble of disputation and argument, things which lead to nothing but jealousy, quarrelling, insults and malicious innuendoes—continual wrangling, in fact, among men of warped minds who have lost their real hold on the truth but hope to make some profit out of the Christian religion."
There it is.  What is more important, God's word - the doctrine of Jesus Christ -  or the words of men who don't seem to know the importance of the sound doctrine of Jesus Christ, and the necessity to adhere to only his doctrine.
At the end of the day in Wt. land, the words of men out rule the words of God and Jesus Christ.  Just watch, the majority of JWs will follow the impractical, when told to.

Witness got a reaction from Dmitar in Millions Now Living Will Never Die! by J.F. Rutherford ??????????? A few questions.
We have the faithful and sealed,  144,000” who never worshipped Revelation’s end time Wild Beast from the Sea.  They were blameless “and lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years”.  Rev 20:4
We also have the anointed remnant in the last days -  “remaining ones of the woman’s seed”, who are “taken captive by empty philosophy”.  (Col 2:8,1 Tim 4:1; Rev 13:10)  Satan deceives them with a flood of lies. This is how he “makes war” with them.  (Rev 12:3,4,15)
Matt 24:24,25 –  “For false messiahs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. Take note: I have told you in advance.”
Through this captivity, the anointed worship the Beast, they give their obedience to men and the beast/organization.  They bear its “mark”; but there are some who “conquer” the Beast/organization by sacrificing their life for Christ. (John 16:2; Rev 11:1-3,7; 13:15; 15:2) They also must repent to receive their “white robe washed in the blood of the lamb”. (Heb 10:22; Rev 7:14)
The symbolic thousand years ended with the emergence of the Wild Beast from the Sea and the Beast with “two horns” like a lamb, but spoke like a dragon” – descriptive of false prophets.  (Rev 13:11,12)
Gog and Magog of Rev 20:7,8 = the two Beasts of Rev 13.  One represents false prophets of “Israel”, (“Gog”), and one represents the “man of lawlessness”/organization (“Magog”) and an army that persecutes the saints.  (Joel 1:4,7-10; Rev 8:10,11; 9:1-6; 13:5-7)  The false prophet of Rev 13:11,12 directs the Beast from the Sea. Who directs the organization?
Rev 20: “When the thousand years are completed, Satan will be released from his prison (Rev 9:1,2) and will go out to deceive the nations at the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle.”
The battle of Armageddon.  There is no other battle once this one is finished as Daniel tells us. Dan 7:11-14,21,22,26,27
Rev 20:8,9 - “Their number is like the sand of the sea. 9 They came up across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the encampment of the saints, the beloved city.
    “New Jerusalem”/Temple of God.  (1 Cor 3:16,17; Gal 4:26)
Once the temple is sealed by the last capstone, (Zech 4:9,10) there is no way that the faithful saints in the Kingdom can be surrounded by Satan, Gog and Magog of Rev 20, while ruling with Jesus Christ.  It is the anointed “kings of the earth” that are the primary target of this war.  Rev 16:13-16 (Rev 1:5)
And this war is one of DECEIT against the saints, as Rev 20:7 tells us.  Deceit means lies, not a war of nations fighting with literal weapons.   How can proven faithful, sealed anointed be deceived once reigning with Jesus Christ in the Kingdom?
Rev 20:9,10 - “Then fire came down from heaven and consumed them. 10 The devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet are, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.”
We already know that the anointed saints are surround by a number like the sand of the sea – the massive elder body who have usurped their position as God’s priests, ending their daily sacrifice to God.  (Ezek 44:6-9)
God promises no more death or sorrow in the Kingdom.  The Wt doctrine of the thousand years ending in war, nullifies this promise from God. (Rev 21:4)  He looks at the heart of each one of us during our lifetime, even those before Christ. He already perceives what we are made of, what are capabilities are.  Becoming fleshly, mentally perfect will make no difference.  Obviously, it didn’t for Adam and Eve.   (1 Sam 16:7; Heb 4:13)

Now is the judgment of this world. Now the ruler of this world will be cast out.  John 12:31
“Truly I tell you, anyone who hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not come under judgment but has passed from death to life."  John 5:24
"This is the judgment: The light has come into the world, and people loved darkness rather than the light because their deeds were evil."   John 3:19
There is not another "judgment" after death is destroyed which is promised to happen at the end of Armageddon.  (1 Cor 15:25,26)
I think we need to remember that the Wt is an expert at confusing teachings.  Developing their doctrine that a thousand years of judgment to come AFTER Armageddon, is laced with a promise of peace, and  of becoming physically and mentally perfect, is totally misleading.  We have the accounts of faithful ones who lived their lives totally devoted to God and His word.  To think that they must enter into another judgment period after they are resurrected, is a lie. It negates the judgment of Christ now.   The symbolic "thousand years" is finished.  It was a time period where the anointed who lived as humans must prove their faithfulness, loyalty to truth, and their love for God, Jesus, and the assignment that was given to them.  (Luke 16:10; Matt 25:21)
Wt doctrine is basically saying that not only does Jesus not have the capability to judge our hearts now, but neither does God.  These are the same leaders who have allowed the anointed to be trampled down by the elder body.  (Matt 24:24,25,15,16, 48-51;  2 Thess 2:3,4; Rev 11:1,2; 13:1,2,5-7,11,12,15)  Whatever is done to the anointed members of Jesus Christ, is done to him.  (Acts 26:14)  So, of course Wt would imply that Jesus' promise of ETERNAL LIFE comes with a fine print clause....another judgment period is to follow,  after he DESTROYS DEATH.
It is based on the desires of the flesh - who wouldn't latch on to a bogus promise of peace, physical beauty and mental perfection?  Who...would promise such things, but Satan who bestows physical riches, power and authority to those who do his bidding!  (Luke 4:5-7)
    This is absolute blasphemy.
John 6:63 - "The Spirit is the one who gives life. The flesh doesn’t help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life."

Witness reacted to Matthew9969 in Did the earth exist before creation started on the 1st day?
1 In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. 4 And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day.
So occasionally these verses make me ponder if this ball of water existed for a long time, always existed, etc. before the act of creation. And I can't help but wonder if this is in any way related to the importance of water throughout the bible.
Got a lot of brain power on this site so I thought I'd start my research here.

As usual BroRando, you have COMPLETELY misunderstood what I said .... BECAUSE ... you never read anything in context, and it appears you are completely unfamiliar with the Society's publication "The Divine Name".  THAT was the context you ignored.
When that happens you draw conclusions that get MORE wrong as the conversation goes on, as the error is not just additive, but multiplied.
.... please go back and re-read what I, and Witness  actually said, instead of your current screwed up perception of what we actually did say.
That is why in the 7th grade they used to teach how to diagram sentences .... a highly valuable tool for determining what a statement is REALLY saying.

You must not have read the "Divine Name" Brochure printed by your organization.

    How Is God's Name Pronounced?
The truth is, nobody knows for sure how the name of God was originally pronounced. Why not? Well, the first language used in writing the Bible was Hebrew, and when the Hebrew language was written down, the writers wrote only consonants, not vowels. Hence, when the inspired writers wrote God's name, they naturally did the same thing and wrote only the consonants.
While ancient Hebrew was an everyday spoken language, this presented no problem. The pronunciation of the Name was familiar to the Israelites and when they saw it in writing they supplied the vowels without thinking (just as, for an English reader, the abbreviation "Ltd." represents "Limited" and "bldg." represents "building").
Two things happened to change this situation. First, a superstitious idea arose among the Jews that it was wrong to say the divine name out loud; so when they came to it in their Bible reading they uttered the Hebrew word 'Adho·nai' ("Sovereign Lord"). Further, as time went by, the ancient Hebrew language itself ceased to be spoken in everyday conversation, and in this way the original Hebrew pronunciation of God's name was eventually forgotten.
In order to ensure that the pronunciation of the Hebrew language as a whole would not be lost, Jewish scholars of the second half of the first millennium C.E. invented a system of points to represent the missing vowels, and they placed these around the consonants in the Hebrew Bible. Thus, both vowels and consonants were written down, and the pronunciation as it was at that time was preserved.
When it came to God's name, instead of putting the proper vowel signs around it, in most cases they put other vowel signs to remind the reader that he should say 'Adho·nai'. From this came the spelling Iehouah, and, eventually, Jehovah became the accepted pronunciation of the divine name in English. This retains the essential elements of God's name from the Hebrew original.
Different scholars have different ideas about how the name YHWH was originally pronounced.
In The Mysterious Name of Y.H.W.H., page 74, Dr. M. Reisel said that the "vocalisation of the Tetragrammaton must originally have been Y e HuàH or YaHuàH."
Canon D. D. Williams of Cambridge held that the "evidence indicates, nay almost proves, that Jahwéh was not the true pronunciation of the Tetragrammaton . . . The Name itself was probably JAHÔH."?Zeitschrift für die alttestamentliche Wissenschaft (Periodical for Old Testament Knowledge), 1936, Volume 54, page 269.
In the glossary of the French Revised Segond Version, page 9, the following comment is made: "The pronunciation Yahvé used in some recent translations is based on a few ancient witnesses, but they are not conclusive. If one takes into account personal names that include the divine name, such as the Hebrew name of the prophet Elijah (Eliyahou) the pronunciation might just as well be Yaho or Yahou."
In 1749 the German Bible scholar Teller told of some different pronunciations of God's name he had read: "Diodorus from Sicily, Macrobius, Clemens Alexandrinus, Saint Jerome and Origenes wrote Jao; the Samaritans, Epiphanius, Theodoretus, Jahe, or Jave; Ludwig Cappel reads Javoh; Drusius, Jahve; Hottinger, Jehva; Mercerus, Jehovah; Castellio, Jovah; and le Clerc, Jawoh, or Javoh."
Thus it is evident that the original pronunciation of God's name is no longer known. Nor is it really important. If it were, then God himself would have made sure that it was preserved for us to use. The important thing is to use God's name according to its conventional pronunciation in our own language.

It is very hypocritical for you to say that anyone who doesn’t use the name “Jehovah” when speaking of the Almighty God our Father, that they are not showing reverence for Him or Jesus Christ...when no one knows the original pronunciation of God’s name, as your own organization tells us.

The aspects of war happens when one is taken captive by empty philosophy - deceit.  (Ezek 22:23-29; Acts 20:29-31; Col 2:8; Rev 13:10)  It continues when one rejects the deceit and speaks out against it. That's really okay.  It just amazes me how Jesus' words have been fulfilled in the last days.

    Is God’s Name Jehovah?
Jehovah’s Witnesses and other Sacred Name groups lit up the Internet last week when Religion News Service claimed, “The original Hebrew name of God re-discovered in 1,000 Bible manuscripts.” At first glance, it sounds like the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society has perhaps been vindicated after all for inserting the name Jehovah into their New World Translation:
On January 21, 2018, Bible Scholar Nehemia Gordon and his team of researchers discovered the 1,000th Hebrew Bible manuscript containing the original name of God in Hebrew with vowels.
For two hundred years, scholars have believed based on Greek sources and conjecture that the Hebrew name of God was originally pronounced “Yahweh.” In late 2016, Gordon found never-translated traditional Jewish sources that explicitly identified the vowels of God’s name in Hebrew as “Yehovah.” This is similar to the English Jehovah, but with a “Y” and the emphasis on the final syllable.
This article, however, is more hype than reality. Nehemia Gordon is the leading light in a “revival” of a sect called Karaite Judaism. The Karaites originated in the late eighth century AD. They adhered, as do today’s proponents, to the written text of the Old Testament only, refusing both the Talmud and rabbinic traditions. They considered themselves purists, restoring true Judaism. They regarded use of anything other than the Old Testament as Pharisaism. Some of the Hebrew Roots Movement have been drawn to Gordon because he seems a bit friendly toward Jesus, yet he outright rejects the idea that Jesus is the Messiah.
But what are we to make of the article’s claim of manuscript evidence for this Yehovah pronunciation of God’s name?
Somewhere during the ninth and tenth centuries, a group called the Masoretes arbitrarily put vowels into the Old Testament text in an attempt to standardize pronunciations. The particular Hebrew Manuscript used was the text of ben Ashur. Until the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls, it was the oldest Old Testament text we had, and every translation team of the newer Bible versions used it. Again, the vowels are arbitrary, put into the text to standardize pronunciation. Wikipedia notes something important:
It has been suggested that the ben Asher family and the majority of the Masoretes were Karaites.
The vowels were added by the Karaites.
The ben Ashur text – or most of it – is held by Israel. Some of it is lost. It is called the Keter (Crown) and is also referred to as The Aleppo Codex:
The Aleppo Codex (Hebrew: כֶּתֶר אֲרָם צוֹבָא‎ Keter Aram Tzova or Crown of Aleppo) is a medieval bound manuscript of the Hebrew Bible. The codex was written in the city of Tiberias, in what is currently northern Israel, in the 10th century C.E.
So, what we essentially have is a late Jewish restorationist movement (and you thought we only had that in “Christendom”), adding vowels to the Hebrew text and then claiming a newly discovered confirmation of the pronunciation of God’s name!
So, while the headlines may appear to be a breaking story of newly discovered information, it is not new, and the story is contrived. Realistically, how newsworthy would a headline be, reading “One-thousandth Copy of Tenth Century Hebrew Bible with Vowels Arbitrarily Added Has Been Discovered by the Sect That Added the Vowels”?
Like most Watchtower Society “proofs,” it provides no proof at all — just much ado about nothing.

We know that an organization was predicted to "make war" with God's holy peopled through the use of deceit. (Rev 13:5-7)  It is directed by false prophets who expect allegiance to the their "spirit-directed organization".  (Rev 13:4,11,12,15,16; 19:20)
The aspects of war happens when one is taken captive by empty philosophy - deceit.  (Ezek 22:23-29; Acts 20:29-31; Col 2:8; Rev 13:10)  It continues when one rejects the deceit and speaks out against it. And then, that person is disfellowshipped - considered spiritually  dead.  (Rev 13:15;11:1-3,7)  Jesus said those who are excommunicated from the "synagogues"/congregations, don't know the Father and the Son. (John 16:1-3)  So you see, you are stuck, totally immobile on a word created by men, and how it sounds - "Jehovah".  And for that, you feel anyone who doesn't use it, who doesn't verbalize it, is to be destroyed.  That is not how God or Christ judges people.  He judges them on the truth in His Word. (John 17:17)   If one truly knew God and His Son, would he dare follow in the footsteps of leaders who have a history of false predictions?
False prophets, men who set dates for the destruction of the world, have much to answer for, when Christ returns.  (Matt 7:26; 12:37)  I am not your judge, as you appear to be mine.  I only hope that you wake up and realize the error of your way, before Christ returns.  (Jer 17:10; Joel 3:12; James 4:12)

As if I have never written here about Jesus? You know I have intensely concentrated on Christ, since you've read many of my comments.   How is it, that particular JWs on here have no problem spouting off lies?    When people have to rely on lies to cut down their opponent,  it shows that they have no other "ammo", but to slander.  Just like the governing body.
That's really okay.  It just amazes me how Jesus' words have been fulfilled in the last days.
“Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to them.
11 “Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you and say all kinds of evil things about you falsely on account of me"  Matt 5:10,11

You might want to get your facts straight.  I have never "denounced" YHVH/YHWH.  I use it frequently.  And I have never denounced "Adonai", or "Abba", or the "Ancient of Days", or "Elohim".  It is not blasphemy to say the "Almighty God", or "Father" as Jesus did.  In fact your own bible uses the phrase "Almighty God".   If you think one is righteous for uttering the name "Jehovah", I feel very sorry for you.
