  1. @SHARON LEE MOYER Our "faith" makes us well and gives us "hope", even if we die we still have a wonderful "hope!" My study she was 92 at her death she would not take blood even though because of her weakness could not go under water to be baptized, she said I know I'll be in Jehovah's memory! Yes, she loved Jehovah, believed so much that even if she'd die, nothing would be able to take her Love away! Even her family (not Witnesses) tried to force her to take blood. Jehovah delivers us, if not now, Â by resurrection. Thank you for your support! Jehovah bless you! ??????
  2. “JesusÂ’ compassion paints a touching portrait of JehovahÂ’s concern for each one of his servants."—John 5:19.  ?????? “Weep With Those Who Weep” ?????? “FOR almost a year after the death of our son, we felt deep and excruciating pain,” said Susi. Another Christian said that when his wife died suddenly, he experienced “indescribable physical pain.” Sadly, countless others experience this kind of agony. Many in the Christian congregation may not have expected their loved ones to die this side of Armageddon. ?????? Whether you have personally lost a loved one in death or know someone who is bereaved, you may wonder, ‘How can grieving ones be helped to deal with their heartache?Â’ ?????? Perhaps you have heard it said that time is a great healer. However, does it really follow that time by itself will heal a broken heart? One widow observed, “I have found it more accurate to say that it is what one does with oneÂ’s time that helps one to heal.” Yes, like a physical wound, the pain of an emotional wound may gradually ease over time if it is given tender care. What, specifically, can help bereaved individuals heal their painful emotional wounds? ?????? JEHOVAH—“THE GOD OF ALL COMFORT” Without a doubt, the primary source of consolation is our compassionate heavenly Father, Jehovah. (Read 2 Corinthians 1:3, 4.) Jehovah, the foremost example of empathy, assured his people: “I myself am the One comforting you.”—Isa. 51:12; Ps. 119:50, 52, 76. ?????? Our Father of tender mercies has himself experienced the loss of loved ones, such as Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, and King David. (Num. 12:6-8;Matt. 22:31, 32; Acts 13:22) GodÂ’s Word assures us that Jehovah has eagerly anticipated—has had an earnest longing for—the time when he will bring them back to life. (Job 14:14, 15) They will be happy and in vibrant health. Consider, too, that GodÂ’s dearly beloved Son—“the one he was especially fond of”—died an agonizing death. (Prov. 8:22, 30) Words cannot express the pain Jehovah must have suffered.—John 5:20; 10:17. ?????? How can we be consoled by Jehovah? We can have unwavering confidence that Jehovah will act in our behalf. We should therefore not hesitate to pour out our hearts to him in prayer concerning our personal grief. How comforting it is to know that Jehovah understands our pain and provides the comfort that we so sorely need! But how does he do so? ?????? One way God helps us is by means of “the comfort of the holy spirit.” (Acts 9:31) GodÂ’s active force is a very powerful source of comfort. Jesus promised that the Father in heaven would eagerly “give holy spirit to those asking him.” (Luke 11:13) Susi, quoted earlier, says: “There were so many times when we just dropped to our knees and implored Jehovah to comfort us. Every single time, the peace of God truly guarded our hearts and minds.”—Read Philippians 4:6, 7. ?????? JehovahÂ’s tender empathy was perfectly expressed in the words and actions of his compassionate Son, Jesus, when he was on earth. (John 5:19) Jesus was sent to provide comfort for “the brokenhearted” and “all who mourn.” (Isa. 61:1, 2; Luke 4:17-21) Hence, he was characterized by deep compassion—a sympathetic awareness of peopleÂ’s suffering and a heartfelt desire to alleviate their suffering.—Heb. 2:17.  ?????? If you are grieving, you too can find soothing comfort from such scriptures as the following:  “Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; he saves those who are crushed in spirit.”—Ps. 34:18, 19. “When anxieties overwhelmed me, you [Jehovah] comforted and soothed me.”—Ps. 94:19. “May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and gave everlasting comfort and good hope by means of undeserved kindness, comfort your hearts and make you firm.”—2 Thess. 2:16, 17.* https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/2017483?q=john+5%3A19&p=par ??????
  3. @Noble Berean All my children grew up with the book and cassette tapes. I have a wonderful memory of my oldest Son sitting on the potty with his book "The Great Teacher", singing away! He did not read by then he was only about 4 years old. Thank you for sharing! ????
  4. OurCreatorJehovahGod? Who has created these things? It is the One who is bringing forth the army of them even by number, all of whom he calls even by name.—Isa. 40:26. ????? When we raise our eyes and telescopes heavenward, we find an immense and highly ordered system of galaxies, stars, and planets, all moving with great precision. ????? This could not be the product of chance or of an unplanned and uncontrolled cosmic accident. So we must ask, What force was originally employed in order to produce our orderly universe? ????? We humans are limited in our ability to identify that force through scientific observation and experimentation alone. ????? However, the Bible has identified it as God’s holy spirit, the most powerful force in the universe. The psalmist sang: “By the word of Jehovah the heavens themselves were made, and by the spirit of his mouth all their army.” (Ps. 33:6) And with our eyes, we can see only a very small part of that “army” of stars as we survey the night sky! ????? w11 2/15 1:5, 7 1 Video tap on Link – Enjoy! IMG_1412.MP4

  6. "You will be objects of hatred by all the nations on account of my name."—Matt. 24:9 ????? What is the “name” of Jesus on account of which Christians are hated by all nations? Illustrating this other aspect of JesusÂ’ “name” is his prophetic warning that his followers would be “objects of hatred by all the nations on account of my name.” (Mt 24:9; also Mt 10:22; Joh 15:20, 21;Ac 9:15, 16) ????? Clearly, this would be, not because his name represented that of a Ransomer or Redeemer, but because it represented GodÂ’s appointed Ruler, the King of kings, to whom all nations should bow in submission or else experience destruction.—Re 19:11-16; compare Ps 2:7-12. ????? So, too, it is certain that when demons gave in to JesusÂ’ command to get out of persons they possessed, they did so, not on the basis of JesusÂ’ being a sacrificial Lamb of God, but on account of the authority for which his name stood as the anointed representative of the Kingdom, the one with authority to call for, not merely one legion, but a dozen legions of angels, capable of expelling any demons who might stubbornly resist the order to leave. (Mr 5:1-13; 9:25-29; Mt 12:28, 29;26:53; compare Da 10:5, 6, 12, 13.) ????? JesusÂ’ faithful apostles were authorized to use his name to expel demons, both before and after his death. (Lu 9:1;10:17; Ac 16:16-18) But when the sons of Jewish priest Sceva tried to use JesusÂ’ name in this way, the wicked spirit challenged their right to appeal to the authority the name represented and caused the possessed man to attack and maul them.—Ac 19:13-17. ????? When JesusÂ’ followers referred to his “name” they frequently employed the expression “the Lord Jesus” or “our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Ac 8:16; 15:26; 19:5, 13,17; 1Co 1:2, 10; Eph 5:20; Col 3:17) They recognized him as their Lord not only because he was their divinely appointed Repurchaser and Owner by virtue of his ransom sacrifice (1Co 6:20;7:22, 23; 1Pe 1:18, 19; Jude 4) but also because of his kingly position and authority. It was in the full regal as well as priestly authority represented by JesusÂ’ name that his followers preached (Ac 5:29-32, 40-42), baptized disciples (Mt 28:18-20; Ac 2:38.  ????? It follows, then, that those approved for life by Jesus could never put faith in, or render allegiance to, some other “name” as representing GodÂ’s authority to rule but must show unbreakable loyalty to the “name” of this divinely commissioned King, the Lord Jesus Christ.—Mt 12:18,21; Re 2:13; 3:8. ????? https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/b/r1/lp-e/nwt/E/2013/44/5#h=31:312-32:0
  7. “This is my 16 year old son JJ, who is in Pioneer Service School this week with five other pioneers from our congregation in tiny Ignacio, Colorado, USA just like so many other pioneers at the end of this service year. ?????? What is remarkable about his storyÂ…is that he almost didnÂ’t make it. On June 29 (from archives) while traveling home from the regional convention, we were involved in a terrible accident, all 5 of us in the lower picture were injured, but JJ was lifeflighted to university hospital because of extent of his internal injuries. ?????? Because of JehovahÂ’s help and the strength of his faith (he was baptized at age 9), this young manÂ’s remarkable recovery speed allowed him to reach this important milestone. We are so proud of him, and other young people say they now want to pursue pioneering in their youth, just like JJ. The prayers of so many righteous ones were favourably heard!” Thank you Jehovah! ?????????

  14. "There is more happiness in giving than there is in receiving."—Acts 20:35. ???????? “Jehovah is good to all.” (Ps. 145:9) ???????? Since we depend on one another, it is natural that doing things for others produces satisfaction. Albert Einstein, whose work benefited others, said: “The value of a man . . . should be seen in what he gives and not in what he is able to receive.” This is in agreement with these words of our Lord Jesus Christ: “There is more happiness in giving than there is in receiving.” (Acts 20:35) Therefore, while it is good to receive love, it is also very healthy to show love for others. ???????? https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/2003521?q=happiness+in+giving&p=par
  15. "Stand Firm and See the Salvation of Jehovah” - What Will Soon Happen! Be Ready! - ??????? “Jehovah is on my side; I shall not fear. What can earthling man do to me?”—PSALM 118:6. TODAY, mankind faces events of a magnitude never previously experienced. Foretelling this about our day, Jesus warned his followers: “There will be great tribulation such as has not occurred since the worldÂ’s beginning until now, no, nor will occur again. In fact, unless those days were cut short, no flesh would be saved; but on account of the chosen ones those days will be cut short.”—Matthew 24:21, 22. ??????? Unseen to human eyes, heavenly forces are now holding back that great tribulation. The apostle John was privileged to see the reason for this restraint in a revelation given to him by Jesus. Here is how the aged apostle described it: “I saw four angels standing upon the four corners of the earth, holding tight the four winds of the earth . . . And I saw another angel ascending from the sunrising, having a seal of the living God; and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels . . . ‘Do not harm the earth or the sea or the trees, until after we have sealed the slaves of our God in their foreheads.’”—Revelation 7:1-3. ??????? All the nations of the earth will have aligned themselves against JehovahÂ’s people. Will the nations succeed in wiping out those faithful Christians? It may seem as if they could. But look! Heavenly armies following Christ Jesus will see to it that these human forces are destroyed. ??????? (Revelation 19:19-21) . . .And I saw the wild beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to wage the war with the one seated on the horse and with his army. 20 And the wild beast was caught, and along with it the false prophet that performed in front of it the signs with which he misled those who received the mark of the wild beast and those who render worship to its image. While still alive, they both were hurled into the fiery lake that burns with sulphur. 21 But the rest were killed off with the long sword of the one seated on the horse, which [sword] proceeded out of his mouth. And all the birds were filled from the fleshy parts of them." ??????? Finally, the Devil and his angels will be cast into an abyss of inactivity. They will no longer be able to mislead man because they will be bound for a thousand years. Oh, what a relief that will be to the great multitude of survivors! Revelation 7:9, 10, 14; 20:1-3. ??????? We are about to experience these wonderful and awe-inspiring events. They all have to do with vindicating JehovahÂ’s right to rule, his universal sovereignty. And think of this: If we remain loyal to Jehovah and if we stand firm for his sovereignty, we shall have the opportunity of sharing in the sanctification of JehovahÂ’s name and the fulfillment of his purpose. What an inestimable joy that will be! ??????? A close examination of those exciting events when Jehovah maneuvered the salvation of the sons of Israel should be of great encouragement to us as we look forward to the fast-approaching great tribulation. ??????? https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/2007925?q=stand+firm+and+see+the+salvation+of+jehovah&p=par
  16. Remember to Stop and Smell the Flowers! ??????? An elderly Chinese woman had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a pole which she carried across her neck. ??????? One of the pots had a crack in it while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water. ??????? At the end of the long walks from the stream to the house, the cracked pot arrived only half full.. For a full two years this went on daily, with the woman bringing home only one and a half pots of water.. Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments. ??????? But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it could only do half of what it had been made to do. ??????? After two years of what it perceived to be bitter failure, it spoke to the woman one day by the stream. ??????? ‘I am ashamed of myself, because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your house.Â’ The old woman smiled, ‘Did you notice that there are flowers on your side of the path, but not on the other potÂ’s side?Â’ ‘ThatÂ’s because I have always known about your flaw, so I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back, you water them.Â’ For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate the table. ??????? Without you being just the way you are, there would not be this beauty to grace the house.Â’ Each of us has our own unique flaw. But itÂ’s the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding. ??????? YouÂ’ve just got to take each person for what they are and look for the good in them. ??????? So, to all of my cracked pot ?? friends, have a great day and remember to smell the flowers on your side of the path! ??????? Â
  17. Who is YOUR Fortress in Time of Distress? - A Fort Can Be a Place to Hide but Does Not Give YOU Safety! - Only Jehovah Can Keep YOU Safe! ~ ?????? (Psalm 61:3) For you have proved to be a refuge for me, A strong tower in the face of the enemy." ? Jehovah, Our ‘Fortress in Times of DistressÂ’Â In harmony with JesusÂ’ prayer, Jehovah is indeed watching over us. He is our “fortress in the time of distress.” (Psalm 37:39) The book of Proverbs uses similar language when it says: “The name of Jehovah is a strong tower. Into it the righteous runs and is given protection.” (Proverbs 18:10) ? This scripture reveals a basic truth about JehovahÂ’s tender concern for his creatures. God offers protection especially to righteous ones who actively seek him, as if we were running into a strong tower for shelter. ? When faced with distressing problems, how can we run to Jehovah for protection? Let us consider three vital steps that we can take in order to receive JehovahÂ’s help. ? First, we must turn to our heavenly Father in prayer. Second, we should work in harmony with his holy spirit. And third, we must submit to JehovahÂ’s arrangement by seeking association with fellow Christians who can allay our distress. ? The Power of Prayer Some health experts recommend prayer as treatment for depression and stress. While it may be true that a quiet moment of prayerlike reflection may relieve stress, much the same could be said about certain sounds of nature or even a back rub. ? True Christians do not trivialize prayer by viewing it as just a feel-good therapy. We view prayer as reverential communication with the Creator. Prayer involves our devotion to and confidence in God. Yes, prayer is part of our worship. ? Our prayers must be accompanied by a sense of confidence, or trust, in Jehovah. The apostle John wrote: “This is the confidence that we have toward him, that, no matter what it is that we ask according to his will, he hears us.” (1 John 5:14) ? Jehovah, the Supreme Being, the only true and almighty God, actually gives special attention to the earnest prayers of his worshipers. Just knowing that our loving God hears us when we share our anxieties and problems with him is comforting. ? (Philippians 4:6-7) . . .Do not be anxious over anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving let YOUR petitions be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God that excels all thought will guard YOUR hearts and YOUR mental powers by means of Christ Jesus." ? Faithful Christians should never feel shy, unworthy, or lacking in confidence when approaching Jehovah in prayer. True, when we are disappointed in ourselves or are overwhelmed with problems, we might not always be inclined to approach Jehovah in prayer. ? On such occasions we do well to remember that Jehovah “shows pity upon his own afflicted ones” and that he “comforts those laid low.” It is especially in times of anguish and distress that we need to turn confidently to our heavenly Father as our fortress. ? (Isaiah 49:13) . . .Give a glad cry, YOU heavens, and be joyful, you earth. Let the mountains become cheerful with a glad outcry. For Jehovah has comforted his people, and he shows pity upon his own afflicted ones."  ? (2 Corinthians 7:6-7) . . .Nevertheless God, who comforts those laid low, comforted us by the presence of Titus." ? To benefit fully from the privilege of prayer, we must have real faith. The Bible says that “he that approaches God must believe that he is and that he becomes the rewarder of those earnestly seeking him.” (Hebrews 11:6) ? Faith is more than just believing that God exists, that “he is.” True faith involves a strong belief in GodÂ’s ability and desire to reward our life course of obedience to him. “The eyes of Jehovah are upon the righteous ones, and his ears are toward their supplication.” (1 Peter 3:12) A constant awareness of JehovahÂ’s loving concern for us gives special meaning to our prayers. ? Jehovah listens to our prayers when they are offered with a complete heart. The psalmist wrote: “I have called with my whole heart. Answer me, O Jehovah.” (Psalm 119:145) ? Unlike the ritualistic prayers in many religions, our prayers are not perfunctory or halfhearted. When we pray to Jehovah with our “whole heart,” our words are charged with meaning and purpose. After such earnest prayers, we begin to experience the relief that comes from throwing our “burden upon Jehovah himself.” As the Bible promises, “he himself will sustain” us. ? (Psalm 55:22) . . .Throw your burden upon Jehovah himself, And he himself will sustain you. Never will he allow the righteous one to totter." ? (1 Peter 5:6-7) . . .Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt YOU in due time; 7 while YOU throw all YOUR anxiety upon him, because he cares for YOU." ? (Psalm 25:20) 20 Do guard my soul and deliver me. May I not be ashamed, for I have taken refuge in you. ? (1 Samuel 17:45) In turn David said to the Phi·lis?tine: “You are coming to me with a sword and with a spear and with a javelin, but I am coming to you with the name of Jehovah of armies, the God of the battle lines of Israel, whom you have taunted." ? (Psalm 18:2) Jehovah is my crag and my stronghold and the Provider of escape for me. My God is my rock. I shall take refuge in him, My shield and my horn of salvation, my secure height." ? (Proverbs 18:10) The name of Jehovah is a strong tower. Into it the righteous runs and is given protection." ? (Psalm 33:21) For in him our heart rejoices; For in his holy name we have put our trust." ?????? Oh how good your laws are Jehovah! Do they not warm your heart?Â
  18. Resist the Spirit of a Changing World - How Can You Resist it? - Valuable Information! ~ It Means Your Life! ~ ????? (Proverbs 13:20) He that is walking with wise persons will become wise, but he that is having dealings with the stupid ones will fare badly." ??? “We received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is from God.”—1 CORINTHIANS 2:12. ??? “THE serpent—it deceived me.” (Genesis 3:13) With those few words, the first woman, Eve, endeavored to explain why she had embarked on a course of rebellion against Jehovah God. What she said was true, although it did not excuse her wrongdoing. The apostle Paul was later inspired to write: “[Eve] was thoroughly deceived.” (1 Timothy 2:14) ??? She was deceived into believing that an act of disobedience—eating the forbidden fruit—would benefit her, making her like God. She was also deceived about the identity of the one who deluded her. Little did she know that the serpent was merely a mouthpiece for Satan the Devil.—Genesis 3:1-6. ??? Since the time of Adam and Eve, Satan has continued to deceive people. He is, in fact, “misleading the entire inhabited earth.” (Revelation 12:9) ??? His tactics have not changed. Though he no longer employs a literal serpent, he continues to conceal his identity. Through parts of the entertainment industry, the media, and other means, Satan misleads people into believing that they neither need nor benefit from GodÂ’s loving direction. ??? The DevilÂ’s campaign of deception has produced in people everywhere a spirit of rebellion against Bible laws and principles. The Bible calls this “the spirit of the world.” (1 Corinthians 2:12) ??? This spirit powerfully influences the beliefs, attitudes, and behavior of those who do not know God. How is that spirit manifested, and how can we resist its corrupting influence? Let us see. ??? (Proverbs 22:17) Incline your ear and hear the words of the wise ones, that you may apply your very heart to my knowledge." ??? (Acts 4:13) Now when they beheld the outspokenness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were men unlettered and ordinary, they got to wondering. And they began to recognize about them that they used to be with Jesus." ???
