  1. Do You Have the Desires of the Righteous?

If It's God's Will, It Will Be Granted!

    ? ????

"The desire of the righteous ones will be granted. and the righteous one is a foundation to time indefinite." Proverbs 10:24,25

    ? ????

Waiting on Jehovah Is a Mark of Faith

We may have desires that we long to see fulfilled. Marriage, having children, and good health are all natural and appropriate desires. For many, though, one or more of those desires may go unfulfilled. If that is so in our case, how we deal with the situation may be a measure of our faith.

    ? ????

What desires do you long to see fulfilled? Is your faith strong enough for you to wait on Jehovah, who promises to satisfy your proper yearnings? (Ps. 145:16) As was true with Abraham, the fulfillment of some divine promises may not come as soon as we would like. Still, Jehovah values our developing faith like Abraham’s and our acting in harmony with it. Doing so is surely to our ultimate benefit.—Heb. 11:6

    ? ????

You can take great comfort in knowing that Jehovah views as belonging to him faithful ones whom he has drawn. Continue to develop faith, humility, and other qualities that further endear you to our God. Being known by Jehovah is undeniably a precious privilege that brings satisfaction to our life now, and it holds out wonderful blessings for the future.—Ps. 37:18

  2. Are You Reflecting the Glory of Jehovah?

    ???

"There is no man that does not sin." (2 Chron. 6:36)

    ???

Despite our sinful condition, Jehovah has proved to be “the God who gives hope.” (Rom. 15:13) He has provided the means for abolishing sin—the ransom sacrifice of Jesus Christ. By exercising faith in that sacrifice, we are no longer “slaves to sin,” but we are in a position to reflect Jehovah’s glory. (Rom. 5:19; 6:6;John 3:16

    ???

Maintaining this approved relationship with God guarantees us Jehovah’s blessing now as well as the future benefits of perfection and everlasting life. Although we are still sinful humans, what a blessing it is to be viewed by God as individuals who can reflect his glory!

    ???

To be in the proper position to reflect God’s glory, we must honestly recognize our sinful nature. (2 Chron. 6:36

    ???

Jesus was the only human who ever lived and died without failing to please God and reflect His glory. Although we are not perfect as Jesus was, we can and should strive to follow his example. (1 Pet. 2:21) Jehovah weighs the effort we put forth along with the progress we make, and he blesses our earnest endeavor to bring him glory.

    ???

Jehovah’s written Word can illuminate for us the pathway to improvement. In-depth study of the Scriptures and meditative Bible reading are essential. (Ps. 1:1-3

    ???

Reading the Scriptures daily will help us to make improvement. (Read James 1:22-25.) Bible knowledge is the basis for our faith and is the means of fortifying our determination to avoid grave sin and to please Jehovah.—Ps. 119:11, 47, 48.

    ???

To reflect God’s glory, we also need to “persevere in prayer.” (Rom. 12:12) We can and should pray that Jehovah help us to serve him in an acceptable way. To that end, we can properly ask him for holy spirit, for more faith, for strength to resist temptation, and for ability to ‘handle the word of the truth aright.’ (2 Tim. 2:15; Matt. 6:13; Luke 11:13;17:5

    ???

As a child depends on his father, so we need to depend on our heavenly Father, Jehovah. If we ask him to help us serve him more fully, we can have confidence that he will do so. May we never feel that we are a bother to him! Instead, in prayer let us praise him, thank him, seek his direction especially when under trial, and ask that he help us to serve him in ways that glorify his holy name.—Ps. 86:12; Jas. 1:5-7.

  3. Honor Jehovah’s Great Name

“I will glorify your name to time indefinite.”—PS. 86:12.

    ?????

    CAN YOU EXPLAIN?

What does it mean to know God’s name?

How has Jehovah progressively revealed his name?

What does it mean to walk in Jehovah’s name?

(Psalm 86:12) "I laud you, O Jehovah my God, with all my heart, And I will glorify your name to time indefinite."

  4. Would you be in fear if you were being chased by the Egyptians? Would you have your confidence in Jehovah of Armies and His Spokesman Moses? Can you picture being there and seeing this picture in front of your eyes?

    ?????

If Moses said to you: 13 Then Moses said to the people: “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and see the salvation of Jehovah, which he will perform for YOU today." Would you be in a panic for your life? This system is dying. Jehovah is tell us how to be saved...we are on the verge of the Red Sea...Make Jehovah your Confidence and listen to His Spokesman today for your safety now! ~ If you are not afraid and stand firm you too will see the salvation of Jehovah! ~

    ?????

(Exodus 14:5-31) 5 Later it was reported to the king of Egypt that the people had run away. Immediately the heart of Phar′aoh as well as his servants was changed regarding the people, so that they said: “What is this that we have done, in that we have sent Israel away from slaving for us?” 6 So he proceeded to make his war chariots ready, and he took his people with him. 7 And he proceeded to take six hundred chosen chariots and all the other chariots of Egypt and warriors upon every one of them. 8 Thus Jehovah let the heart of Phar′aoh the king of Egypt become obstinate, and he went chasing after the sons of Israel, while the sons of Israel were going out with uplifted hand. 9 And the Egyptians went chasing after them, and all the chariot horses of Phar′aoh and his cavalrymen and his military forces were overtaking them while camping by the sea, by Pi·ha·hi′roth in view of Ba′al-ze′phon. 10 When Phar′aoh got close by, the sons of Israel began to raise their eyes and here the Egyptians were marching after them; and the sons of Israel got quite afraid and began to cry out to Jehovah. 11 And they proceeded to say to Moses: “Is it because there are no burial places at all in Egypt that you have taken us here to die in the wilderness? What is this that you have done to us in leading us out of Egypt? 12 Is this not the word we spoke to you in Egypt, saying, ‘Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians’? For it is better for us to serve the Egyptians than for us to die in the wilderness.” 13 Then Moses said to the people: “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and see the salvation of Jehovah, which he will perform for YOU today. For the Egyptians whom YOU do see today YOU will not see again, no, never again. 14 Jehovah will himself fight for YOU, and YOU yourselves will be silent.” 15 Jehovah now said to Moses: “Why do you keep crying out to me? Speak to the sons of Israel that they should break camp. 16 As for you, lift up your rod and stretch your hand out over the sea and split it apart, that the sons of Israel may go through the midst of the sea on dry land. 17 As for me, here I am letting the hearts of the Egyptians become obstinate, that they may go in after them and that I may get glory for myself by means of Phar′aoh and all his military forces, his war chariots and his cavalrymen. 18 And the Egyptians will certainly know that I am Jehovah when I get glory for myself by means of Phar′aoh, his war chariots and his cavalrymen.” 19 Then the angel of the [true] God who was going ahead of the camp of Israel departed and went to their rear, and the pillar of cloud departed from their van and stood in the rear of them. 20 So it came in between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel. On the one hand it proved to be a cloud together with darkness. On the other hand it kept lighting up the night. And this group did not come near that group all night long. 21 Moses now stretched his hand out over the sea; and Jehovah began making the sea go back by a strong east wind all night long and converting the sea basin into dry ground, and the waters were being split apart. 22 At length the sons of Israel went through the midst of the sea on dry land, while the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left. 23 And the Egyptians took up the pursuit, and all the horses of Phar′aoh, his war chariots and his cavalrymen began going in after them, into the midst of the sea. 24 And it came about during the morning watch that Jehovah began to look out upon the camp of the Egyptians from within the pillar of fire and cloud, and he went throwing the camp of the Egyptians into confusion. 25 And he kept taking wheels off their chariots so that they were driving them with difficulty; and the Egyptians began to say: “Let us flee from any contact with Israel, because Jehovah certainly fights for them against the Egyptians.” 26 Finally Jehovah said to Moses: “Stretch your hand out over the sea, that the waters may come back over the Egyptians, their war chariots and their cavalrymen.” 27 Moses at once stretched his hand out over the sea, and the sea began to come back to its normal condition at the approaching of morning. All the while the Egyptians were fleeing from encountering it, but Jehovah shook the Egyptians off into the midst of the sea. 28 And the waters kept coming back. Finally they covered the war chariots and the cavalrymen belonging to all of Phar′aoh’s military forces and who had gone into the sea after them. Not so much as one among them was let remain. 29 As for the sons of Israel, they walked on dry land in the midst of the seabed, and the waters were for them a wall on their right hand and on their left. 30 Thus on that day Jehovah saved Israel from the hand of the Egyptians, and Israel got to see the Egyptians dead on the seashore. 31 Israel also got to see the great hand that Jehovah put in action against the Egyptians; and the people began to fear Jehovah and to put faith in Jehovah and in Moses his servant."

    (Ezekiel 7:19-21)

19 “‘Into the streets they will throw their very silver, and an abhorrent thing their own gold will become. Neither their silver nor their gold will be able to deliver them in the day of Jehovah’s fury. Their souls they will not satisfy, and their intestines they will not fill, for it has become a stumbling block causing their error. 20 And the decoration of one’s ornament—one has set it as reason for pride; and their detestable images, their disgusting things, they have made with it. That is why I will make it to them an abhorrent thing. 21 And I will give it into the hand of the strangers for plunder and to the wicked ones of the earth for spoil, and they will certainly profane it."

    (Isaiah 55:1-13)

1 Hey there, all YOU thirsty ones! Come to the water. And the ones that have no money! Come, buy and eat. Yes, come, buy wine and milk even without money and without price. 2 Why do YOU people keep paying out money for what is not bread, and why is YOUR toil for what results in no satisfaction? Listen intently to me, and eat what is good, and let YOUR soul find its exquisite delight in fatness itself. 3 Incline YOUR ear and come to me. Listen, and YOUR soul will keep alive, and I shall readily conclude with YOU people an indefinitely lasting covenant respecting the loving-kindnesses to David that are faithful.

4 Look! As a witness to the national groups I have given him, as a leader and commander to the national groups. 5 Look! A nation that you do not know you will call, and those of a nation who have not known you will run even to you, for the sake of Jehovah your God, and for the Holy One of Israel, because he will have beautified you.

    ???

6 Search for Jehovah, YOU people, while he may be found. Call to him while he proves to be near. 7 Let the wicked man leave his way, and the harmful man his thoughts; and let him return to Jehovah, who will have mercy upon him, and to our God, for he will forgive in a large way.

    ???

8 “For the thoughts of YOU people are not my thoughts, nor are my ways YOUR ways,” is the utterance of Jehovah. 9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than YOUR ways, and my thoughts than YOUR thoughts. 10 For just as the pouring rain descends, and the snow, from the heavens and does not return to that place, unless it actually saturates the earth and makes it produce and sprout, and seed is actually given to the sower and bread to the eater, 11 so my word that goes forth from my mouth will prove to be. It will not return to me without results, but it will certainly do that in which I have delighted, and it will have certain success in that for which I have sent it.

    ???

12 “For with rejoicing YOU people will go forth, and with peace YOU will be brought in. The mountains and the hills themselves will become cheerful before YOU with a joyful outcry, and the very trees of the field will all clap their hands. 13 Instead of the thicket of thorns the juniper tree will come up. Instead of the stinging nettle the myrtle tree will come up. And it must become for Jehovah something famous, a sign to time indefinite that will not be cut off.”

  7. Do You Feel a Pain of Heart?

    ❤️

Are You Depressed? Discouraged? Feel like Nobody Cares? It is Human to be Depressed in this world. What Can we do to Help? This was Very Encouraging to Me! ~

    Positive in Outlook

Reference to the word “heart” connects the next three proverbs of Solomon. Describing the effect of our emotions on our countenance, the wise king says: “A joyful heart has a good effect on the countenance, but because of the pain of the heart there is a stricken spirit.”—Proverbs 15:13

    ❤️

What can cause pain of heart? “Anxious care in the heart of a man is what will cause it to bow down [with sadness],” states the Bible. (Proverbs 12:25)

    ❤️

How can we prevent negative aspects of life from crushing our spirit? Rather than constantly dwelling on circumstances over which we may have very little control, we can reflect on the rich spiritual blessings that Jehovah has bestowed upon us now and on what he will do for us in the future. This will bring us closer to him. Yes, drawing near to “the happy God” is bound to bring joy to our sad heart.—1 Timothy 1:11

    ❤️

Moreover, the message of the Bible is an excellent source of comfort and delight. The psalmist pronounced happy the man whose “delight is in the law of Jehovah, and in his law he reads in an undertone day and night.” (Psalm 1:1, 2)

    ❤️

Even when we experience pain of heart, reading the Bible and pondering over what it says will encourage us. There is also our God-given ministry. We are assured that “those sowing seed with tears will reap even with a joyful cry.”—Psalm 126:5

    ❤️

“The understanding heart is one that searches for knowledge,” says Solomon, “but the mouth of stupid people is one that aspires to foolishness.” (Proverbs 15:14)

    ❤️

This proverb brings to our attention a striking contrast between the counsel of a wise person and that of a foolish one. Before giving advice, a person with an understanding heart searches for knowledge. He listens well and gets a sufficient grasp of the facts. He searches the Scriptures to ascertain the laws and principles that apply to the situation. His counsel is solidly based on God’s Word.

    ❤️

However, a foolish person does not bother to find out the facts of the situation and blurts out what comes to his mind. When we seek advice, then, it is wise to go to knowledgeable, mature ones rather than to those who may be inclined to tell us what we want to hear. How good it is to have “gifts in men” in the Christian congregation, who ‘search for knowledge’ before giving counsel!—Ephesians 4:8.

    ❤️

The next proverb states an excellent benefit of having a positive outlook. The king of Israel says: “All the days of the afflicted one are bad; but the one that is good at heart has a feast constantly.” (Proverbs 15:15)

    ❤️

Life has its blessings and calamities, joys and tears. If we dwell only on the negative, sorrow will take over our thoughts, and all our days will be gloomy.

    ❤️

However, if we allow personal blessings and our God-given hope to dominate our thinking, the affliction-causing aspects of life will fade into the background and we will experience inner joy. A positive outlook makes it possible for us to enjoy “a feast constantly.”

    ❤️

By all means, then, let us have high regard for discipline. May we let it affect not only our emotions, speech, and actions but also our outlook.

  8. Teach Your Children? - How do You Teach them in this World of Deceit and Lack of Authority? -How can you Really Build their Self-Esteem? - Toys? Games? Clothes?

    ??????

NO, of course not, these fade and then the excitement is gone, then you have to buy more things? That only teaches them money buys happiness and self-esteem...it does not! What Does the Bible Teach on How to help Your Children?

    ??????????

These Bible stories are written in simple language to help parents teach their children valuable Bible lessons. They are designed for parents to read together with their children.

    ??????????

Teaching Respect for Authority“Today’s parents demand so little respect for authority that we actually may be lowering our children’s self-esteem,” says a report in The Toronto Star. “Knowing their limits actually appeals to children’s need for predictability and security—which in turn helps them feel higher self-esteem,” notes behavior specialist Ronald Morrish. “It’s children with no sense of rules and responsibility who grow up feeling less secure and confident.” He adds: “I see 6-year-olds who set their own bedtime. I see 3-year-olds whose mothers try to persuade them not to misbehave by explaining how it makes Mommy feel.”

    ??????????

Children need to learn to comply with family rules, and the idea that they naturally become less cooperative as they get older is wrong, says Morrish. “We expect children to build their academic knowledge cumulatively each year. So why don’t we also expect kids’ behaviour to improve each year?” he asks. “If you won’t do what it takes to get a toddler to pick up a toy, you won’t have a teenager who makes his curfew.”

    ??????????

Raising Well-Adjusted Children—How?“Children learn self-respect and self-control by receiving both love and discipline from parents,” says a report in The Gazette, a Montreal, Canada, newspaper. What does this involve? According to Montreal clinical psychologist Constance Lalinec, it is vital to set clear limits on child behavior.

    ??????????

Chores for Children“Today’s time-pressed parents are laid back when it comes to having their children help around the house,” reports The Toronto Star. Although chores “will never be a top priority for kids,” says Jane Nelsen, author of Positive Discipline, such tasks “build self-reliance and self-esteem.”

    ??????????

According to a study appearing in Child magazine, some realistic home chores for two- to three-year-olds could include picking up toys as well as putting clothes in the hamper. Children between three and five years of age could set the table, carry dishes to the sink, and keep their play areas neat. Those 5 to 9 years of age could make their own bed, rake leaves, and pull weeds, while 9- to 12-year-olds could do chores such as washing and drying dishes, taking out the trash, mowing the lawn, and vacuuming. Nelsen adds that “it helps to give deadlines for completion.”

    ??????????

Responsible parents try to help their children develop spiritual qualities that supply them with the inner strength they need to withstand damaging peer pressure. “We put forth earnest effort to help our children build self-esteem,” explains one father, “so that they will not find it necessary to have the approval of their peers. If being like other children is not important to them, they will find it easier to say no when they are supposed to say no.” To teach his children how to handle difficult situations, this parent makes time for his family to engage in role-playing, actually acting out difficult situations that could arise and demonstrating ways to cope with them. Be a supportive parent, and help your child develop self-assurance."

    ??????????

(Proverbs 22:6) . . .Train up a boy according to the way for him; even when he grows old he will not turn aside from it.

(Ephesians 6:1-4) . . .Children, be obedient to YOUR parents in union with [the] Lord, for this is righteous: 2 “Honor your father and [your] mother”; which is the first command with a promise: 3 “That it may go well with you and you may endure a long time on the earth.” 4 And YOU, fathers, do not be irritating YOUR children, but go on bringing them up in the discipline and mental-regulating of Jehovah

  9. Jehovah Delivers the Afflicted Ones!

    ???????

“Many are the calamities of the righteous one, but out of them all Jehovah delivers him.”—PSALM 34:19

    ???????

Have you struggled with feelings of despair? As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, you have abundant reason to rejoice because godly devotion “holds promise of the life now and that which is to come.” (1 Timothy 4:8) Right now you dwell in a spiritual paradise! However, does that mean that you are shielded from all affliction? Hardly! The Bible says: “Many are the calamities of the righteous one.” (Psalm 34:19) This is not surprising, for “the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one,” Satan the Devil. (1 John 5:19) To one degree or another, all of us experience the effects of that reality.—Ephesians 6:12

    ???????

Some experience despair because of clinical depression.* If this is true of you, try to focus some of your attention on God’s new world and the time when “no resident will say: ‘I am sick.’” (Isaiah 33:24)

    ???????

If your negative feelings seem to be much more than an occasional case of the blues, it might be wise to seek professional help. (Matthew 9:12)

    ???????

It is also important to take care of yourself physically. A healthful diet and some exercise may be helpful. Make sure that you are getting needed rest.

    ???????

Do not stay up late watching television, and avoid forms of recreation that will leave you physically and emotionally depleted. Above all, continue to engage in godly works!

    ???????

Although it is not yet the time when Jehovah will “wipe out every tear,” he will help you to endure.—Revelation 21:4; 1 Corinthians 10:13

  10. Coming to Know Jehovah’s Ways - Pray for Help and Direction!

    “Make me know . . . your ways, that I may know you.”—EXODUS 33:13

    ??????

What Jehovah Expects of His People

What Jehovah expected of his people was disclosed orally at Mount Sinai. Moses later received two tablets containing the Ten Commandments in written form. Upon descending from the mountain, he saw the Israelites worshiping the molten calf and angrily threw down the tablets, shattering them. Jehovah again inscribed the Ten Commandments on stone tablets that Moses had carved out. (Exodus 32:19; 34:1)

    ??????

These commandments had not changed since they were first given. Moses was to act in harmony with them. God also impressed upon Moses the sort of person that He is, thus showing Moses how to conduct himself as Jehovah’s representative. Christians are not under the Mosaic Law, but what Jehovah told Moses embodies many basic principles that have not changed and that continue to apply to all who worship Jehovah. (Romans 6:14; 13:8-10) Let us consider a few of these.

    ??????

Give Jehovah exclusive devotion. The nation of Israel was present when Jehovah declared that he requires exclusive devotion. (Exodus 20:2-5) The Israelites had seen abundant evidence that Jehovah is the true God. (Deuteronomy 4:33-35) Jehovah made it clear that regardless of what other nations were doing, he would not tolerate any form of idolatry or spiritism among his people. Their devotion to him was to be no mere formality. All of them were to love Jehovah with their whole heart, their whole soul, and all their vital force. (Deuteronomy 6:5, 6) This would involve their speech, their conduct—indeed, every aspect of their lives. (Leviticus 20:27; 24:15, 16; 26:1)

    ??????

Strictly obey Jehovah’s commandments. The people of Israel needed to be reminded that when they entered into a covenant relationship with Jehovah, they vowed to obey him strictly. They enjoyed much personal freedom, but in matters on which Jehovah had given them commandments, they had to be strictly obedient. Doing so would give evidence of their love for God and would benefit them and their offspring because all of Jehovah’s requirements were for their good.—Exodus 19:5-8.

  11. Are YOU Happy? All Nations Will Have to Pronounce YOU Happy!

    ? ????

Aren't YOU Happy YOU Can Live Not as a Butterfly, (14 days) but Forever? ~

    ? ?????

(Malachi 3:12)  "All the nations will have to pronounce YOU happy, for YOU yourselves will become a land of delight,” Jehovah of armies has said."

    ? ????

Looking forward to that day, Jehovah of armies says: “From the sun’s rising even to its setting my name will be great among the nations. . . . For I am a great King, . . . and my name will be fear-inspiring among the nations.” Fear-inspiring indeed! For ‘the day will burn like the furnace, and all the presumptuous ones and all those doing wickedness must become as stubble.’

    ? ????

Yet, happy are those who fear Jehovah’s name, for to them “the sun of righteousness will certainly shine forth, with healing in its wings.” This focuses on the happy time when obedient ones of the human family will be completely healed—spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and physically. (Rev. 21:3, 4)

    ? ????

In pointing forward to that glorious and blessed day, Malachi encourages us to be wholehearted in bringing our offering into Jehovah’s house: “‘Test me out, please, in this respect,’ Jehovah of armies has said, ‘whether I shall not open to you people the floodgates of the heavens and actually empty out upon you a blessing until there is no more want.’”—Mal. 1:11, 14; 4:1, 2; 3:10

    ? ????

While continuing to warn of ‘a devoting of the earth to destruction,’ this last book of the Prophets calls for optimism and rejoicing in line with Jehovah’s words to his people: “All the nations will have to pronounce you happy, for you yourselves will become a land of delight.”—4:6; 3:12

  12. God’s People Must Love Kindness - Do You Love Kindness? “What is Jehovah asking back from you but to exercise justice and to love kindness and to be modest in walking with your God?”—MICAH 6:8.

    ???????

Kindness is displayed by taking an active interest in the welfare of others. It is shown by helpful acts and considerate words. To be kind means to do good rather than to do anything harmful. A kind person is friendly, gentle, sympathetic, and gracious. He has a generous, considerate attitude toward others.

    ???????

The apostle Paul admonished Christians: “Clothe yourselves with the tender affections of compassion, kindness, lowliness of mind, mildness, and long-suffering.” (Colossians 3:12)

?Kindness, then, is part of every true Christian’s figurative attire.

?Jehovah God has taken the lead in showing kindness.

?Jehovah and the designated King of His Kingdom, Christ Jesus, require that their subjects be known for their kindness. (Micah 6:8) Jesus Christ gave us a glimpse of how the administration entrusted to him by his Father would be marked by kindness. (Hebrews 1:3)

    ???????

Godly kindness is unselfish. It asks for nothing and expects nothing in return. Jehovah kindly “makes his sun rise upon wicked people and good and makes it rain upon righteous people and unrighteous.” (Matthew 5:43-45; Acts 14:16, 17)

    ???????

In imitation of our heavenly Father, not only do we refrain from harming the unthankful but we do good to them, even to those who have acted as our enemies.

    ???????

By displaying kindness, we show Jehovah and Jesus that we desire to live under God’s Kingdom, when kindness and other godly qualities will permeate all human relationships.

    ???????

    Why Show Kindness?

? For a genuine Christian, displaying kindness is especially important. It is evidence that God’s spirit is at work in us. Moreover, when we display true kindness, we imitate Jehovah God and Christ Jesus. Kindness is also a requirement for those who will be subjects of God’s Kingdom. We must, then, love kindness and learn to display it.

  15. "That you may make sure of the more important things, so that you may be flawless and not stumbling others up to the day of Christ." (Phil 1:10)

Can I Be Organized to Help Others? How Can I Manage My Time?

"Make sure of the more important things.”—Philippians 1:10.

    ????????

How many more hours could you use in a day? ․

    ⏰?⏰?⏰

What would you use the extra time for?

    □ To hang out with friends

    □ To sleep

    □ To study

    □ Other ․․․․․

TIME is like a spirited horse—if it is to work for you, you must learn to control it. Control your time, and you will likely reduce your stress, improve your grades, and gain more trust from your parents. “Sounds great,” you say, “but it’s easier said than done!” True, you will face challenges. But you can overcome them.

What you can do. Get a pocket planner, and prioritize what you need to do. On the other hand, perhaps one of the following alternatives below would work for you.

    □ Cell-phone calendar

    □ Small notepad

    □ Computer calendar

    □ Desk calendar

If you start filling up your time with smaller things, you risk not being able to fit in the important things. Make space for the big things first, and you’ll be amazed at how much more time you’ll have for the rest!—Philippians 1:10.

  16. “Mark Well the Ravens.” Michael Burnett, a class instructor and former missionary, delivered the talk with the above title. He said that we are going to have anxious thoughts on occasion. But remember Jesus’ counsel: “Mark well that the ravens neither sow seed nor reap, . . . and yet God feeds them.” (Luke 12:24)

    ???

According to the Law covenant, ravens were unclean, not fit to be eaten. They were to be considered loathsome. (Leviticus 11:13, 15)

    ???

In spite of their status, God feeds them. “So if you are confronted with major anxiety in the future,” said Brother Burnett, “think about the raven. If God takes care of an unclean, loathsome bird, how much more so is he going to take care of you who are clean in his eyes.”

  17. “May my prayer be prepared as incense before you.” (Ps. 141:2)

    Making Whole-Souled Sacrifices for Jehovah

King David sang to Jehovah: “May my prayer be prepared as incense before you.” (Ps. 141:2)

    ???????

Think for a moment about your prayers—about their regularity and their quality. The book of Revelation likens “the prayers of the holy ones” to incense in that acceptable prayers rise to Jehovah like a sweet-smelling and pleasant odor. (Rev. 5:8) In ancient Israel, the incense that was regularly offered on Jehovah’s altar had to be carefully and precisely prepared. It was acceptable to Jehovah only if offered according to the guidelines that he had established. (Ex. 30:34-37; Lev. 10:1, 2)

    ???????

If our heartfelt prayers are similarly formulated, then we can be sure that they are acceptable to Jehovah.

  18. Maintain Your Faith Keep your Faith strong, when things seem bleak - when you find it difficult to even speak.

    ??‍♀️??‍♂️??‍♂️??‍♀️

Our times are hard to deal with... The pressures are so great

    True love is sorely lacking

This world is filled with hate!

The world's so full of violence

with so much suff'ring too... These wicked actions make no sense

to folks like me and you.

    Such violent acts increase worldwide

They shockingly appall... Things seem go from bad to worse

    Affecting one and all.

Events are just a 'sign' to us

    as Jesus once foretold

    Increasing of world violence

As love of many grows cold.

We need to keep our faith so strong -

    when everything seems bleak.

    And situations overwhelm

    Sometimes we cannot speak.

We're at the time when we will see

Jehovah intervene... He'll totally remove this violence

Yes, he'll wipe the slate clean!

Lift up your heads and do rejoice

    deliverance draws near.

Give praise to Jah with one strong voice

The new world's almost here! — ???Contributed

  19. Nadab and Abihu offered illegitimate fire to Jehovah and He struck them dead.

    ☄️???☄️

God’s Rest—Have You Entered Into It?

    ☄️???☄️

Moses’ brother, Aaron, faced a difficult situation with regard to two of his sons. Think of how he must have felt when his sons Nadab and Abihu offered illegitimate fire to Jehovah and He struck them dead.

    ☄️???☄️

Of course, that ended any association those men could have had with their parents. But there is more. Jehovah instructed Aaron and his faithful sons: “Do not let your heads go ungroomed, and you must not tear your garments [in mourning], that you may not die and that [Jehovah] may not become indignant against all the assembly.” (Lev. 10:1-6)

    ☄️???☄️

The message is clear. Our love for Jehovah must be stronger than our love for unfaithful family members.

Jehovah's Witness in Crimea 'ordered to renounce faith to be drafted into Russian army'

Crimean authorities may have breached international laws by ordering a Jehovah's Witness to prove he has abandoned his faith before being drafted into the occupying Russian army, according to a human rights monitor. Members of the Christian denomination, which is deeply opposed to military service, were previously allowed to sign up for alternative civilian service in Russia, where men have to complete a year's draft in the army between the ages of 18-27. But there have been several reports of Jehovah's Witnesses being denied the right to serve as civilians after the religion was banned by the country's Supreme Court in April. 75,000 worshippers were criminalised when judges ruled that their religion violated an anti-extremism law, paving the way for 395 local chapters to be shut down.

Russian military officials in Crimea have since told a Jehovah's Witness to provide evidence he has changed his faith before he is allowed to join their ranks, according to Jehovah's Witnesses In Russia.

Paperwork said to have been issued by a military centre in the region said Jehovah's Witnesses could start civilian service "only on condition of renouncing their religious beliefs".The order is thought to breach the Geneva Convention, which bars armies from conscripting citizens in occupied territories, stating: "The Occupying Power may not compel protected persons to serve in its armed or auxiliary forces.

"No pressure or propaganda which aims at securing voluntary enlistment is permitted.”

Russia has continued to conscript soldiers from Crimea into its army, despite the United Nations recognising them as an occupying force in the region following a resolution passed in December 2016.

Crimean conscripts are deployed across Russia, which appears to violate another Geneva Convention article barring "individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory to the territory of the occupying power".Vladimir Putin has faced calls to stop conscription in Crimea from Ukraine's foreign affairs ministry, according to Newsweek.

Jehovah's Witnesses have reported other human rights violations, including Russian authorities raiding peaceful meetings, following the Supreme Court ruling, which is set to be appealed in July.

A Danish member has been arrested and is reportedly facing up to 10 years in prison.
