  1. We must examine our motives for serving Jehovah, removing any vestages of hypocrisy from our heart. Do I worship Jehovah out of love for him and in recognition of his sovereignty? Do I place more emphasis on the physical blessings I hope to enjoy in Paradise? 11 “You are worthy, Jehovah our God, to receive the glory and the honor and the power, because you created all things, and because of your will they came into existence and were created.” (Rev.4:11) NWT

  5. Ketef Hinnom Silver Scrolls replica Two tiny soiver scrolls in the form of amulets were discovered at a burial cave outside Jerusalem called "Ketef Hinnom" in the Hinnom Valley. Written in ancient Hebrew script dated to the 7th century BC, the scrolls comprise the earliest known fragments of a Biblical Text and pre date the earliest scrolls from the Dead Sea area by more than 400 years. A form of what is j=known as the priestly blessing is contained on the scrolls: "The Lord bless you and keep ypu, the Lord makes His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you. The Lord lift up His countenanace upon you and give you peace." Numbers ^:24-26. It also contains the Tetragrammaton, the oldest known form of the Divine name of God. Excavated in 1979 by team led by Israeli archaeologist Gabriel Barkay in a tomb in the Hinnom valley alongside Jerusalem. The scrolls were excavated by Judith Hadley, who has purchased our replicas of the Ketef Hinnom Silver Scrolls. (Ketef Hinnom means the shoulder of Hinnom) The tomb dated to the 7th C BC and contained hundreds of pieces of silver jewelry and artifacts as well as a rare early coin. The scrolls show a Hebrew script containing a text from the 7th C BC demonstrating the accuracy of translation of the Biblical text through to modern times. This set of reproduction scrolls is available ready to frame. These would make a wonderful gift for any collector or student of Biblical Archaeology or anyone who grew up with the priestly blessing!

  8. Tue, 01/31/2017 - 9:52am by Netherlands Research School for Astronomy Many stars in the halo that surrounds the Milky Way travel in groups. This is the outcome of a recent analysis of data for millions of stars from the Gaia space mission. Astronomers report their discovery today in the international journal Astronomy & Astrophysics. The Milky Way, our own Galaxy, has likely formed in part from the merging of many smaller systems. How exactly that happened, is still a puzzle. To learn more about the history of formation of the Milky Way, astronomers from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands and UC Riverside in the U.S., have inspected the motions of stars in the so-called Galactic halo. Stars in the halo are more pristine and spend most of their time outside of the disk-like structure that gives the Milky Way its name. It is thought that these halo stars are the stars that joined the Milky Way onboard of small galaxies. http://www.laboratoryequipment.com/news/2017/01/stars-halo-milky-way-often-travel-groups-1#.WJDGC04V2_I.mailto
