  1. Piglet Squid - Interesting, never saw this squid before? Have you? Miracles of Jehovah God Our Creator! - ?????

The piglet squid measures only a few centimeters across, and it’s one of the cutest animals out there! It can be found in virtually all oceans in the deep water, over 100 meters deep. Due to its tiny size and deep water habitat, the piglet squid is actually not that well studied and understood.

They are known to be sluggish swimmers, mostly because they often fill up with water, which is then released through the funny looking siphone you see above. Indeed, it does look like a piglet squid. It maintains itself buoyant with ammonium ions in its body fluid. It also has a large light producing organ (photophore) is located beneath each of its large eyes.

The body is almost entirely clear, and if you look at it, you can barely see the semi-transparent internal organs, which provide a smile-like look. Interestingly enough, the piglet squid has most often been observed from submersibles with its head upside down. However, it is entirely unclear why they do this.

  2. Want one of these in the New World? Loveable Babies then? - ?

Video by @joelsartore | At just four-weeks-old, these two leopard cat kittens (Prionailurus bengalensis) are Happy to be alive! Like most wild cat species, mothers hide their young in a quiet location while they're hunting and return later to nurse them. These babies were found hiding in a field that humans had started to burn for agriculture.

Unfortunately, humans sometimes find these kittens and wrongly presume that they are abandoned or orphaned and pick them up, but in this case it was absolutely the right thing to do or both would have been killed by the fire. A caring Cambodian woman found them just in time and they were transferred for hand-rearing to the @accb_cambodia, a dedicated conservation and rescue center near the ancient temples of Angkor in Siem Reap, Cambodia.

The Angkor Centre for Conservation of Biodiversity regularly receives leopard cats and other wildlife in need and tries to rehabilitate them in order to be released back to the wild if at all possible. Although leopard cats are very cute, they don’t make good pets because they are wild and donÂ’t become tame. It is always a very emotional moment to say goodbye and to release a rehabilitated leopard cat back to the wild.

  3. A Government lawyer knocked on a door of a poor man dying of a disease.

When the man opened the door the lawyer said, “I have been sent by the richest man who ever lived to offer you an inheritance by your Father. This inheritance will pay off all your debts, and would allow you to undergo a medical procedure that would cure the disease attacking your body,

In order for you to receive this inheritance, you must take the time to learn the details contained in this legal document on how and why this inheritance could be yours.

What would the poor man do? Will he say, “I’m not interested, I’m too busy, I have my own way to help myself? Or would he reason, I love my Father and I know he cares for me, the lawyer said he has a document, even though I doubt that this is true, I will let him try to prove it to me for I may benefit as I am a poor dying man.

WhatÂ’s the meaning of the illustration?

Who is the Lawyer? (Matt 28:19,20; Acts 5:42, 20:20)

What government does the Lawyer represent? (Matt 24:14, 6:10; Dan 2:44; Matt 6:33)

    The Document (1 Tim 3:16; Hebrews 4:12)

The reason to listen to the Document (1 John 5:3; John 17:3)

Who is the rich man? Matt 28:20

What is the cure? 1 Tim 2:6; Rom 3:24; Ephesians 1:7 Colossians 1:14

Who is the Father? John 3:16; Psalms 83:18

Who is the poor man? 1 Cor 15:22; Rom 5:12

(It would be my hope that the poor man would let the lawyer read the documents so that the dying man could take the steps needed to gain the inheritance.

As he learns the truth about all his Father did in his behalf, his love for his father would grow. He would now know all that his Father wants for him and he would now live his life trying his best to do what he knows is best without any doubts about his inheritance.) Please may we all take the time! - ??? Bible Speaks

  4. What is LENT? ~ Do True Christians Observe This?

The 40-day fast of Lent is said to commemorate the 40-day fast of Christ. Yet, Jesus never commanded his disciples to commemorate his fast. Also, since Jesus fasted following his baptism and not before his death, the fact that some religions observe Lent in the weeks preceding Easter may seem strange.

However, a 40-day fast in the early part of the year was common among ancient Babylonians, Egyptians, and Greeks. The so-called “Christian” custom was evidently borrowed from them.

Futhemore, notice the connection between Mardi Gras and Lent. According to History.com: "Though Mardi Gras technically refers only to Fat Tuesday, the Mardi Gras season actually begins on Epiphany, a Christian holiday celebrated on January 6 that is otherwise known as Three Kings Day or the Twelfth Day of Christmas.

In Brazil and many other countries, this period between Epiphany and Fat Tuesday is known as Carnival. Whichever name you prefer to use, the revelries of Mardi Gras last until midnight when Ash Wednesday ushers in 40 days of Lent."

Too, "during the Middle Ages," according to Worldreligionnews.com, "the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday was called Shrove Tuesday because all were required to go to confessional and get guidance on their penances to perform during Lent.

Shrove Tuesday is also called Fat Tuesday or Mardi Gras, marking the end of Carnival." Hence, the day after Mardi Gras, on Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent, one receives a cross mark on the forehead with ashes as a reminder for the need for penitence and as a form of public penance. Lastly, regarding fasting, the Bible warns against adopting “false humility.” (Colossians 2:20-23)

Jesus’ illustration of the proud Pharisee who felt morally superior to others because of his regular fasting leaves no doubt that God rejects such an attitude. (Luke 18:9-14)

It would also be a mistake to publicize the fact that you fast or to fast because another person tells you to do so. According to Matthew 6:16-18, Jesus counseled that fasting should be a private matter, between you and God, and that you should not announce it to others. Thus, does Lent adhere to these Bible principles? - Bible Speaks -

  7. The Dark Origins Of Valentine's Day

    Arnie Seipel ~ February 13
Valentine's Day is a time to celebrate romance and love and kissy-face fealty. But the origins of this festival of candy and cupids are actually dark, bloody — and a bit muddled.
A drawing depicts the death of St. Valentine — one of them, anyway. The Romans executed two men by that name on Feb. 14 of different years in the 3rd century A.D.

    Hulton Archive/Getty Images
Though no one has pinpointed the exact origin of the holiday, one good place to start is ancient Rome, where men hit on women by, well, hitting them.

    Those Wild And Crazy Romans

From Feb. 13 to 15, the Romans celebrated the feast of Lupercalia. The men sacrificed a goat and a dog, then whipped women with the hides of the animals they had just slain.

The Roman romantics "were drunk. They were naked," says Noel Lenski, a historian at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Young women would actually line up for the men to hit them, Lenski says. They believed this would make them fertile.

The brutal fete included a matchmaking lottery, in which young men drew the names of women from a jar. The couple would then be, um, coupled up for the duration of the festival — or longer, if the match was right.

The ancient Romans may also be responsible for the name of our modern day of love. Emperor Claudius II executed two men — both named Valentine — on Feb. 14 of different years in the 3rd century A.D. Their martyrdom was honored by the Catholic Church with the celebration of St. Valentine's Day.

Later, Pope Gelasius I muddled things in the 5th century by combining St. Valentine's Day with Lupercalia to expel the pagan rituals. But the festival was more of a theatrical interpretation of what it had once been. Lenski adds, "It was a little more of a drunken revel, but the Christians put clothes back on it. That didn't stop it from being a day of fertility and love."

Around the same time, the Normans celebrated Galatin's Day. Galatin meant "lover of women." That was likely confused with St. Valentine's Day at some point, in part because they sound alike.

William Shakespeare helped romanticize Valentine's Day in his work, and it gained popularity throughout Britain and the rest of Europe.

    Perry-Castañeda Library, University of Texas
    Shakespeare In Love

As the years went on, the holiday grew sweeter. Chaucer and Shakespeare romanticized it in their work, and it gained popularity throughout Britain and the rest of Europe. Handmade paper cards became the tokens-du-jour in the Middle Ages.

Eventually, the tradition made its way to the New World. The industrial revolution ushered in factory-made cards in the 19th century. And in 1913, Hallmark Cards of Kansas City, Mo., began mass producing valentines. February has not been the same since.

Today, the holiday is big business: According to market research firm IBIS World, Valentine's Day sales reached $17.6 billion last year; this year's sales are expected to total $18.6 billion.

But that commercialization has spoiled the day for many. Helen Fisher, a sociologist at Rutgers University, says we have only ourselves to blame.

"This isn't a command performance," she says. "If people didn't want to buy Hallmark cards, they would not be bought, and Hallmark would go out of business."

And so the celebration of Valentine's Day goes on, in varied ways. Many will break the bank buying jewelry and flowers for their beloveds. Others will celebrate in a SAD (that's Single Awareness Day) way, dining alone and binging on self-gifted chocolates. A few may even be spending this day the same way the early Romans did. But let's not go there.

  8. Thank you Jehovah for the Sea ? Turtles ?

    "Hover"

This beautiful footage was filmed off the Coast Of Byron Bay, Australia by @scottwilsonimagery - Grace and Light, Green Turtle ?

?Green sea turtle (Chelonia mydas), is named for the green color of the fat under its shell. In some areas, the Pacific green turtle is also called the black sea turtle.

They are easily distinguished from other sea turtles because they have a single pair of prefrontal scales (scales in front of its eyes), rather than two pairs as found on other sea turtles. Head is small and blunt with a serrated jaw. Carapace is bony without ridges and has large, non-overlapping, scutes (scales) present with only 4 lateral scutes. Body is nearly oval and is more depressed (flattened) compared to Pacific green turtles. All flippers have 1 visible claw. The carapace color varies from pale to very dark green and plain to very brilliant yellow, brown and green tones with radiating stripes. The plastron varies from white, dirty white or yellowish in the Atlantic populations to dark grey-bluish-green in the Pacific populations. Hatchlings are dark-brown or nearly black with a white underneath and white flipper margins.

For comparison, the Pacific green turtle (aka Black Sea Turtle) has a body that is strongly elevated or vaulted and looks less round in a frontal view than other green sea turtles. The color is where you see the biggest difference with Pacific greens having a dark grey to black carapace and the hatchlings are a dark-brown or black with narrow white border with white underneath.

Adults are 3 to 4 feet in carapace length (83 – 114 cm). The green turtle is the largest of the Cheloniidae family. The largest green turtle ever found was 5 feet (152 cm) in length and 871 pounds (395 kg). Adults weigh between 240 and 420 pounds (110 – 190 kg).

  9. How do we walk in Jesus Footsteps today? Are You Afraid? ? ? ? ?

He said “COME to me,” said Jesus Christ. “Learn from me, for I am mild-tempered and lowly in heart, and you will find refreshment for your souls.” (Matt. 11:28, 29) This warm invitation well expresses JesusÂ’ loving mental attitude. No human could be a better example to follow. Although he was the mighty Son of God, Jesus displayed empathy and tenderness, especially toward those in need.

  10. Thank you Jehovah God for a Beautiful Bird. No man gets the credit do your Creation!

    ?????

    Hoopoe Israels new national bird

President Shimon Peres announced the Hoopoe as Israel's new national bird. The Hoopoe won an election held by the Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel, which concluded on Thursday after months of voting. 155,000 people participated in the nationwide election.

The Hoopoe raked in 35% of the votes nationwide, and also won first place in the election held by Ynet with 20% of the net-surfer vote. Peres commended the election, and said that "today more than ever we need green scenery, fresh air, and the beautiful, multi-colored birds that flock here." He added that "ornithology is one of the main assets of our small country."

The president also remarked that 500 million birds pass through Israel's skies annually. "For such a small country, that's a world record," he concluded.  Peres also lamented that many birds, once common in Israel, have now become rare or disappeared completely from the country.

He announced that he plans to hold talks with French President Nicolas Sarkozy and German Chancellor Angela Merkel on the subject of returning the birds to their natural habitat.

When asked what his personal choice had been, Peres answered that he would have liked to see the vulture take first place, but also remarked that it was a pity the dove had not been nominated.

"The dove is equipped with a homing system, which can lead it home from anywhere it may be – and despite limitations and long distances it is a true Zionist," he said. https://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3549637,00.html
