The Devil's Flower Mantis or Giant Devil's Flower Mantis, also known by the scientific name Idolomantis diabolica is a native of Tanzania and considered to be one of the largest praying mantis species that resemble a flower. It is often confused with the small devil's flower mantis (Blepharopsis mendica) which is also called as Devil's flower mantis by many people. The gorgeous looks of the Devil's flower mantis, its size and its rarity has also earned it the name of "King of all mantids". These features have made this creature one of the most sought after species of mantids to be kept as pets. - See more at:

  8.  Are You Justified in Anger? ~ Was Jehovah? ~ ???

"Let me be, that my anger may blaze against them and I may exterminate them, and let me make you into great nation." (Ex. 32:10) ~ Justified Justice? ~ ???

Although Jehovah expressed what he was inclined to do, this was not his final judgment. In effect, Jehovah was here testing Moses.

Would he take this opportunity to encourage Jehovah to forget about Israel and to make a mighty nation from Moses’ own descendants? Moses’ response revealed his faith and trust in Jehovah’s justice.

His reaction showed, not selfish interest, but concern over Jehovah’s name. He did not want it to be defamed. Moses thereby showed that he understood “the mind of Jehovah” concerning this matter. (1 Cor. 2:16)

What was the outcome? Because Jehovah was not firmly committed to a certain course of action, he “began to feel regret.”

In Hebrew, this expression can simply mean that Jehovah did not bring about the calamity he stated that he was inclined to bring upon the whole nation. (Ex. 32:11-14) - Bible Speaks -

  9. "In the Sovereign Lord Jehovah I have placed my refuge." (Ps. 73:28)

    ?????

“Sovereignty” is supremacy in power or rulership. A sovereign exercises supreme authority. There are good reasons for viewing Jehovah God as the Supreme One. (Dan. 7:22)

As the Creator, Jehovah God is the Sovereign of the earth and the entire universe. (Rev. 4:11)

Jehovah is also our Judge, Statute-Giver, and King, for within himself he combines the judicial, legislative, and executive branches of universal government. (Isa. 33:22)

Since we owe our very existence to God and are dependent on him, we should view him as our Sovereign Lord. We will be motivated to uphold his lofty position if we always bear in mind that “Jehovah himself has firmly established his throne inthe very heavens; and over everything his own kingship has held domination.” (Ps. 103:19; Acts 4:24)

To support JehovahÂ’s sovereignty, we must maintain our integrity to him. - Bible Speaks -

  10. WE ALL HAVE BAGGAGE - YET WE ARE TAUGHT HOW WE CAN PUT THAT ALL AWAY AND PUT ON THE NEW PERSONALITY! ~ ?????

WITH GOD'S SPIRIT WE CAN DO IT! - MANY FINE EXAMPLES WE HAVE, SO DON'T GET DOWN ON YOURSELF - THAT IS WHAT UNDESERVED KINDNESS IS ALL ABOUT! - READ ABOUT THE GIFT WE HAVE BE GIVEN! ~

(Ephesians 4:22-29) . . .YOU should put away the old personality which conforms to YOUR former course of conduct and which is being corrupted according to his deceptive desires; 23 but that YOU should be made new in the force actuating YOUR mind, 24 and should put on the new personality which was created according to God’s will in true righteousness and loyalty. 25 Wherefore, now that YOU have put away falsehood, speak truth each one of YOU with his neighbor, because we are members belonging to one another. 26 Be wrathful, and yet do not sin; let the sun not set with YOU in a provoked state, 27 neither allow place for the Devil. 28 Let the stealer steal no more, but rather let him do hard work, doing with his hands what is good work, that he may have something to distribute to someone in need. 29 Let a rotten saying not proceed out of YOUR mouth, but whatever saying is good for building up as the need may be, that it may impart what is favorable to the hearers. (Colossians 3:9-11) . . .Strip off the old personality with its practices, 10 and clothe yourselves with the new [personality], which through accurate knowledge is being made new according to the image of the One who created it. .

(Romans 12:1, 2) . . .Consequently I entreat YOU by the compassions of God, brothers, to present YOUR bodies a sacrifice living, holy, acceptable to God, a sacred service with YOUR power of reason. 2 And quit being fashioned after this system of things, but be transformed by making YOUR mind over, that YOU may prove to yourselves the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

(Hebrews 8:10) 10 “‘For this is the covenant that I shall covenant with the house of Israel after those days,’ says Jehovah. ‘I will put my laws in their mind, and in their hearts I shall write them. And I will become their God, and they themselves will become my people.

  11. A BANK HAS INTEREST ALL OVER THE WORLD! ~ A SHORT STORY........AN ILLUSTRATION....

    ?????

A man has many business and other interests.  The most important is a very large bank.  This bank has interest in peoples all over planet earth.

    ?????

This man has one son, a special son.  This special son has been put to the test by the owner in every imaginable way.  The son has passed every test put before him.

    ?????

Therefore, the owner has put this special son in charge of all affairs relating to this big bank.

    ?????

This son is a humble person, and never claims to be something he is not.  When asked, he always gives credit for everything to his father.  He never claims to be the "owner" of the bank, and says to everyone who asks...."I am here at this bank to do the will of my father, who sent me here." Further, being the humble person that he is, when asked, he quotes the instructions given to him from his father.  He talks to his father constantly, and listens to him closely.

    ?????

Given a choice.....does this "bank" sound like something you would like to know about, and be able to choose for yourself whether or not you wish to be a part of it?

    ?????

This "short story" is simply an illustration......Sometimes the best "teacher' is just a simple illustration.        Can you understand this illustration? - Contributed

  13. WHO WAS REBEKAH? ~??????

Rebekah grew up to be a very beautiful young woman, but she was no passive, vain beauty. She was spirited, and she remained morally pure. Her family was prosperous enough to have servants, but Rebekah was not coddled or treated like a princess; she was raised to work hard. Like so many women of those times, Rebekah had some heavy chores to do, including fetching water for the family. Early in the evening, she would hoist a vessel onto her shoulder and head off to the spring.—Genesis 24:11, 15, 16.

    ??????

One evening, after she had filled her jar, an elderly man ran up to meet her. He said to her: “Please give me a little sip of water from your jar.” It was such a modest request and so politely made! Rebekah could see that the man had traveled far. So she quickly swung her water jar from her shoulder and let the man drink, not a mere sip, but a real drink of the fresh, cool water. She noticed that he had a train of ten camels kneeling nearby and that the trough had not yet been filled to water them. She could see that his kind eyes were watching her attentively, and she wanted to be as generous as she could. So she said: “I will also draw water for your camels until they are done drinking.”—Genesis 24:17-19.

    ??????

Note that Rebekah offered not merely to give the ten camels a drink but to water them until they were satisfied. If very thirsty, one camel might drink over 25 gallons (95 L) of water! If all ten camels were that thirsty, Rebekah faced hours of hard work. As matters turned out, it seems unlikely that the camels were extremely thirsty.* But did Rebekah know that when she made her offer? No. She was willing, even eager, to work as hard as need be to show hospitality to this elderly stranger. He accepted her offer. Then he watched her intently as she ran back and forth, filling and refilling her jar and emptying it into the trough again and again.—Genesis 24:20, 21.

    ??????

Rebekah’s example speaks eloquently to us today. We live in an age when selfishness seems to reign supreme. Rebekah surely noticed the elderly man’s gaze upon her. There was nothing improper in his look; it suggested amazement, wonderment, and joy!

    ??????

When Rebekah was done at last, he gave her gifts—precious jewelry! Then he asked: “Please tell me, whose daughter are you? Is there any room at your father’s house for us to spend the night?” When she told him of her family, his joy intensified. Perhaps in a rush of enthusiasm, she added: “We have both straw and much fodder and also a place to spend the night”—a considerable offer, as there were others traveling with the old man. Then she ran off ahead of him to tell her mother what had happened.—Genesis 24:22ttt-28, 32.

    ??????

Clearly, Rebekah was raised to be hospitable. Here is another value that seems to be on the wane today—and another reason to imitate the faith of this kindhearted young woman. Faith in God should lead us to be hospitable. Jehovah is hospitable, for he is generous to all, and he wants his worshippers to follow suit. When we are hospitable even to those who may never repay us, we please our heavenly Father.—Matthew 5:44-46; 1 Peter 4:9.
