  1. DISTRICT COURT ORLA EXTENDS THE IMPRISONMENT OF BROTHER DENNIS CRISTENSEN BY ANOTHER THREE MONTHS.
On November 20, 2017, a judge of the Sovietsky District Court of Orel decided to leave behind the law-abiding Jehovah's Witness, extending his detention until February 23, 2018.

"Mr. Christensen, a Danish citizen,Jehovah's witness, prisoner of conscience was arrested on May 25, 2017, during a raid by Federal Security Service (FSB), masked and armed officers for participating in a religious meeting in Russia"..

  2. “God Took Him” Is there a Book of Enoch? No, why?

    ??????

Enoch was apparently in mortal danger when “God took him.” (Genesis 5:24) Jehovah did not allow his faithful prophet to suffer at the hands of rabid enemies. According to the apostle Paul, “Enoch was transferred so as not to see death.” (Hebrews 11:5) Many say that Enoch did not die—that God took him to heaven, where he kept on living. However, Jesus plainly stated: “No man has ascended into heaven but he that descended from heaven, the Son of man.” Jesus was the “forerunner” of all who ascend to heaven.—John 3:13; Hebrews 6:19, 20.

    ??????

So, what happened to Enoch? His being “transferred so as not to see death” may mean that God put him in a prophetic trance and then terminated his life while he was in that state. Under such circumstances, Enoch would not experience the pangs of death. Then “he was nowhere to be found,” apparently because Jehovah disposed of his body, even as he disposed of Moses’ body.—Deuteronomy 34:5, 6.

    ??????

Enoch lived 365 years—not nearly as long as most of his contemporaries. But the important thing for lovers of Jehovah is that they serve him faithfully to the end of their days. We know that Enoch did that because “before his transference he had the witness that he had pleased God well.” The Scriptures do not disclose how Jehovah communicated this to Enoch. Nevertheless, before Enoch died, he was given assurance of God’s approval, and we can be certain that Jehovah will remember him in the resurrection.

    ??????

Does the Bible Quote From the Book of Enoch?
      ??????

The Book of Enoch is an apocryphal and pseudepigraphic text. It is falsely ascribed to Enoch. Produced probably sometime during the second and first centuries B.C.E., it is a collection of extravagant and unhistorical Jewish myths, evidently the product of exegetical elaborations on the brief Genesis reference to Enoch. This alone is sufficient for lovers of GodÂ’s inspired Word to dismiss it.

    ??????

In the Bible, only the book of Jude contains Enoch’s prophetic words: “Look! Jehovah came with his holy myriads, to execute judgment against all, and to convict all the ungodly concerning all their ungodly deeds that they did in an ungodly way, and concerning all the shocking things that ungodly sinners spoke against him.” (Jude 14, 15) Many scholars contend that Enoch’s prophecy against his ungodly contemporaries is quoted directly from the Book of Enoch. Is it possible that Jude used an unreliable apocryphal book as his source?

      ??????

How Jude knew of Enoch’s prophecy is not revealed in the Scriptures. He may simply have quoted a common source, a reliable tradition handed down from remote antiquity. Paul evidently did something similar when he named Jannes and Jambres as the otherwise anonymous magicians of Pharaoh’s court who opposed Moses. If the writer of the Book of Enoch had access to an ancient source of this kind, why should we deny it to Jude?*—Exodus 7:11, 22; 2 Timothy 3:8

     ??????

How Jude received the information about EnochÂ’s message to the ungodly is a minor matter. Its reliability is attested to by the fact that Jude wrote under divine inspiration. (2 Timothy 3:16) GodÂ’s holy spirit guarded him from stating anything that was not true.

  3. “Keep On Encouraging One Another Each Day”

“If you have any word of encouragement for the people, tell it.”—ACTS 13:15.

    ??????

The Bible says that we need to encourage one another regularly.  We can encourage others by commending them for something they did well. We can also encourage others by telling them that they have good qualities and by comforting them when they are sad or discouraged. (1 Thessalonians 5:14)

    ??????

Because we are often with our brothers and sisters, we have many opportunities to say something encouraging. (Read Ecclesiastes 4:9, 10.)

    ??????

So ask yourself: ‘Do I let others know why I value and love them? And do I do this whenever I can?’ Think about what the Bible says: “A word spoken at the right time—how good it is!” Even those who have served Jehovah for a long time need to be encouraged. Tell your brothers and sisters how much you value their efforts and their good qualities. (2 Chronicles 16:9; Job 1:8)

    ??????

If we do this, we imitate Jehovah and Jesus. They value everything we do for them, even if we cannot do as much as we would like to. (Read Luke 21:1-4; 2 Corinthians 8:12.)

    ??????

For example, we know that it takes a lot of effort for our dear older ones to come to the meetings and go out in the ministry regularly. Do we encourage them and commend them for all they do?  Many who visit older ones often say, “I went to encourage an older friend, but I left feeling encouraged myself.”

    ??????

Encourage others as often as possible. Whenever you notice something that a person did well, be sure to commend him.  We will be able to help one another stay close to Jehovah if we follow Paul’s counsel: “Keep encouraging one another and building one another up, just as you are in fact doing.” (1 Thessalonians 5:11)

    ??????

If we “keep on encouraging one another each day,” we will make Jehovah very happy! - Bible Speaks -

  4. It’s Better to be Bibically Correct Than Politically Correct!

    ?????

Where we live, the political environment may be calm, seemingly tolerant of true worship. Yet, as Satan’s system nears its end, we can expect the issue of neutrality to become more prominent. The world is filled with people who are “not open to any agreement” and “headstrong,” so it will only become more divided and polarized. (2 Tim. 3:3, 4)

    ?????

In some countries, our brothers have already faced unexpected challenges to their neutrality because of a rapidly changing political environment. Do you see why we need to strengthen our resolve now to remain neutral?

    ?????

A first key to remaining neutral is to share JehovahÂ’s view of political systems. Although some governments might appear to be just, the very concept of humans ruling over other humans was never JehovahÂ’s purpose. (Jer. 10:23)

    ?????

Man-made governments promote nationalism, which divides the human family. Even the best human leaders are unable to solve all problems. We obey God by never favoring any candidate or political party over another, regardless of whether they seem to support or oppose our interests. How might our neutrality be tested in this regard?

    ?????

Suppose that a popular uprising tries to oust an oppressive regime, one under which GodÂ’s people have also suffered. Although we would not march with the protesters, might we be with them in spirit? (Eph. 2:2)

    ?????

We must remain neutral not only in our words and actions but also in our heart. We must exercise caution when political issues are brought up. For example, when presenting the Kingdom message, avoid either praising or criticizing the policies of a political party or leader. Try to establish common ground with the householder by focusing on the underlying problem rather than on any proposed political solution. Then, show from the Bible how GodÂ’s government will solve the problem completely and permanently. If such volatile issues as same-sex marriage or abortion come up, defend GodÂ’s standards and explain how we follow these in our own lives. During the discussion, remain strictly neutral on the political aspects of these topics.

    ?????

We take no position regarding what laws should be enacted, repealed, or changed, and we do not pressure others to agree with our view. Information broadcast as “news” is often presented in a biased and opinionated way.

    ?????

The media sometimes functions as a tool of the political system. News reports might be blatantly slanted in lands with State-controlled media, yet even Christians living in so-called free countries must be careful not to adopt the bias of a commentator.

    ?????

Ask yourself, ‘Do I enjoy listening to someone in the media because I agree with his political leaning?’ If so, you might look for a more objective source of information.

    ?????

In any case, it is wise to limit your intake from media sources that promote a political agenda and to test what you hear against “the standard of wholesome words” found in the Bible.

    ?????

Many Witnesses in modern times have maintained their neutrality. Some have suffered physical abuse and imprisonment and have even died for their faith. Their examples can help you as they did Bar??, from Turkey, who said: “Franz Reiter was a young brother who was executed because he refused to join Hitler’s army. The letter he wrote to his mother the night before he died showed tremendous faith and confidence in Jehovah, and I wanted to follow his example if I faced such a trial.”

    Lesson for today. (John 13:35)

  5. DENNIS CHRISTENSEN APPRECIATES THE LOVE AND SUPPORT FROM BROTHERS AND SISTERS ALL OVER THE WORLD?? From a Russian sister.

Dear friends. Yesterday I received a letter from my dear sister Irina Christensen(wife of Dennis Christensen). It supported me and encouraged me. Dennis is positive, calm, ready for any outcome, obviously Irina too.  I'm proud to have such brothers and sisters. Now Irina sees Dennis 2 times a month, passes the information . Dennis gets a lot of letters and children's drawings. Pictures and photos of Dennis goes in the camera, then changes the "exhibit". there is a way to use the Bible. The last words to quote: " continue, please pray for us, for lawyers and for all who are in prison all over the world ". " all " is, of course, of brothers and sisters. He always reads this scripture to comfort himself

2 Corinthians 6:3-10: "... " In no way are we giving any cause for stumbling, so that no fault may be found with our ministry;  but in every way we recommend ourselves as God’s ministers, by the endurance of much, by tribulations, by times of need, by difficulties, by beatings, by imprisonments, by riots, by hard work, by sleepless nights, by times without food; by purity, by knowledge, by patience, by kindness, by holy spirit, by love free from hypocrisy, by truthful speech, by God’s power;through the weapons of righteousness in the right hand and in the left, through glory and dishonor, through bad report and good report. We are regarded as deceivers and yet we are truthful, as unknown and yet we are recognized, as dying and yet look! we live,as punished and yet not handed over to death, as sorrowing but ever rejoicing, as poor but making many rich, as having nothing and yet possessing all things".

    Any message for him?

  6. What Do You Know About Purple Striped Jellyfish? ?

Jehovah God Created these wonderful creatures great and small.

(Genesis 1:20,21). Then God said: “Let the waters swarm with living creatures, and let flying creatures fly above the earth across the expanse of the heavens.”

21 And God created the great sea creatures and all living creatures that move and swarm in the waters according to their kinds and every winged flying creature according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.”

  8. LAST MINUTE

Our brother Dennis Christensen, imprisoned in a Russian jail since May 2017 awaiting trial, has been sentenced to another 3 months, so he must be locked up in difficult conditions until 23 February 2018. He can then be sentenced to several more years.

Judge Andrei Tretyakov during the 3-hour hearing did not satisfy the defense's request to replace the preventive measure in a softer one, such as house arrest. In addition, the court did not take into account the formal guarantees of the Royal Danish Embassy (the brother is a Danish citizen) who, for humanitarian reasons, has given assurances that he does not provide a new passport for Christensen captured by the investigators and is not going to Promote your trip outside the Russian Federation.

    Dennis Christensen is completely innocent.

I will persist in denouncing the shameful repression on this and all the other Russian witnesses, with an attitude towards defenseless and innocent people. - https://jw-russia.org/news/17112020-262.html

  9. Six-year old Melvin was so excited to give his first Bible reading. However, our speaker’s stand is not adjustable, and

Melvin, despite his best efforts, was too short to see his Bible. He left the platform crying.

However, the school overseer announced a short time later that Melvin had asked for another chance. A shorter speakerÂ’s stand was brought from the second school, and Melvin completed the reading with a huge smile.

Now, it was our turn to cry tears of joy for his wonderful example.

  10. Do Not Let Illness Rob You of Joy ~ ! ?

"Every breathing thing—let it praise Jah.
    Praise Jah!" (Ps. 150:6)

PICTURE yourself waking up wishing that the day would end before it has even begun. You have to cope with physical or emotional pain yet another day. You may even feel like Job, who said: “I would prefer death to all my sufferings.” (Job 7:15, The New English Bible)

What if such a condition persists, even for years?

We should avoid thinking that a personal affliction is evidence of God’s displeasure. (Lam. 3:33) Think of what Job had to go through despite being “blameless and upright.” (Job 1:8) God does not try anyone with evil things. (Jas. 1:13) All illnesses—including the chronic and the emotional—are a dismal legacy from our first parents, Adam and Eve.—Rom. 5:12

Jehovah and Jesus, however, will not leave the righteous ones without help. (Ps. 34:15) Especially at difficult moments in our lives, we come to appreciate that God is ‘our refuge and our stronghold.’ (Ps. 91:2)

So, then, when coping with conditions that have no easy solution, what can help you to maintain joy?

Prayer: Following the pattern of God’s faithful servants of old, you can throw your burden on our heavenly Father in prayer. (Ps. 55:22) In doing so, you can experience “the peace of God that excels all thought.” That inner peace “will guard your hearts and your mental powers.” (Phil. 4:6, 7).

Be positive: The key to coping with chronic illness without losing joy is often in your own hands. A gloomy disposition and despondent feelings can lead to negative thinking. The Bible states: “The spirit of a man can put up with his malady; but as for a stricken spirit, who can bear it?”—Prov. 18:14

Keep in mind that Jehovah carefully notes your endurance. He feels for you in your suffering and cares for you. He will not “forget your work and the love you showed for his name.” (Heb. 6:10) Take to heart the promise he makes to all who fear him: “I will by no means leave you nor by any means forsake you.”—Heb. 13:5.

If on occasion you do feel down, focus on the wonderful hope of living in the new world. The time is fast approaching when your own eyes will see on the earth the blessings of God’s Kingdom!

  11. "But as for me, I will walk in my integrity. Rescue me and show me favor." (Ps 26:11)

    ???????

In ancient times, objects were often weighed on a beam scale. It usually consisted of a horizontal beam, or bar, that pivoted on a peg at its center. A pan hung from each end of the bar. The object being weighed was put in one pan and a weight in the other. God’s people were to use honest scales and weights. (Prov. 11:1)

    ???????

When the godly man Job was suffering under satanic attack, he said: “[Jehovah] will weigh me in accurate scales and God will get to know my integrity.” (Job 31:6)

    ???????

"Let God weigh me with accurate scales; Then he will recognize my integrity." (Job 31:6)

    ???????

In that regard, Job mentioned a number of situations that could put an integrity keeper to the test. But Job actually passed the test successfully, as implied by his words recorded in Job chapter 31.

    ???????

We are not suffering exactly as Job did. However, we must be faithful to God in matters large and small if we are to bolster our position as integrity keepers and supporters of his sovereignty. — Luke 16:10

Man admits Honiton Jehovah's Witness hall killing

    NOTE DATE?

A man has admitted killing an electrician who was stabbed to death in a Jehovah's Witness hall.

Keith Beviss, 54, of Woodhayes Drive, Honiton, pleaded guilty to manslaughter on grounds of diminished responsibility at Exeter Crown Court.

Philip Ryan, 55, was found with fatal stab wounds after being attacked while working at the hall in Devon on 6 June.

Beviss was suffering from a mental impairment at the time of the killing, the court heard.

Simon Laws, QC, said: "He has been seen by a number of healthcare professionals. There is no doubt among anyone involved in this prosecution that this plea should be accepted."

Beviss is currently being treated at the Fromeside Unit in Bristol.

Judge Geoffrey Mercer, QC, adjourned the case for sentence and remanded Beviss in technical custody.

Mr Ryan, from Westward Ho!, North Devon, had run Ryan Alarms and Electrical Services for more than 30 years after moving to Devon from Henley on Thames.

His funeral in June was attended by more than 900 people.

After the service, his widow Sandra said, "Our family has been deeply touched by the way that everyone has responded, even some who do not know us personally."

The case has been adjourned until 9 February.
