  1. @The Librarian Man admits Honiton Jehovah's Witness hall killing 17 November 2017 Share this with Facebook Share this with Twitter NOTE DATE? A man has admitted killing an electrician who was stabbed to death in a Jehovah's Witness hall. Keith Beviss, 54, of Woodhayes Drive, Honiton, pleaded guilty to manslaughter on grounds of diminished responsibility at Exeter Crown Court. Philip Ryan, 55, was found with fatal stab wounds after being attacked while working at the hall in Devon on 6 June. Beviss was suffering from a mental impairment at the time of the killing, the court heard. Simon Laws, QC, said: "He has been seen by a number of healthcare professionals. There is no doubt among anyone involved in this prosecution that this plea should be accepted." Beviss is currently being treated at the Fromeside Unit in Bristol. Judge Geoffrey Mercer, QC, adjourned the case for sentence and remanded Beviss in technical custody. Mr Ryan, from Westward Ho!, North Devon, had run Ryan Alarms and Electrical Services for more than 30 years after moving to Devon from Henley on Thames. His funeral in June was attended by more than 900 people. After the service, his widow Sandra said, "Our family has been deeply touched by the way that everyone has responded, even some who do not know us personally." The case has been adjourned until 9 February.

  3. Treasures of the Heart - ?????? Jehovah sifts through you, he discards such sins, much the way a prospector panning for gold discards worthless gravel. What about your good qualities and works? Ah, these are the “nuggets” he keeps! Have you ever noticed the way fond parents treasure their childrenÂ’s drawings or school projects, sometimes for decades after the children have forgotten them? Jehovah is the fondest Parent. As long as we remain faithful to him, he never forgets our good works and qualities. In fact, he would view it as unrighteous to forget these, and he is never unrighteous. (Hebrews 6:10) He also sifts us in another way. Jehovah looks beyond our imperfections and sees our potential. To illustrate: People who love works of art will go to great lengths to restore badly damaged paintings or other works. When, for example, in the National Gallery in London, England, someone with a shotgun damaged a Leonardo da Vinci drawing worth some $30 million, no one suggested that since the drawing was now damaged, it should be discarded. Work to restore the nearly 500-year-old masterpiece began immediately. Why? Because it was precious in the eyes of art lovers. Are you not worth more than a chalk and charcoal drawing? In GodÂ’s eyes you certainly are—however damaged you may be by inherited imperfection. (Psalm 72:12-14) Jehovah God, the skilled Creator of the human family, will do what is necessary to restore to perfection all of those who respond to his loving care.—Acts 3:21; Romans 8:20-22. Yes, Jehovah sees the good in us that we may not see in ourselves. And as we serve him, he will make the good grow until we are eventually perfect. No matter how SatanÂ’s world has treated us, Jehovah values his faithful servants as desirable, or precious.—Haggai 2:7. Are not your children as precious? ItÂ’s called “priceless!” Love them! Train them as though they are precious and priceless! ?????? https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/1102002049?q=treasure+your+children&p=par

  6. "At that time the righteous ones will shine as brightly as the sun in the kingdom of their Father."—Matt. 13:43. ????? They “Will Shine as Brightly as the Sun” At what time do the wheatlike ones “shine as brightly as the sun”? (Matt. 13:43) Concerning the cleansing of GodÂ’s temple, Malachi prophesied: “‘Suddenly there will come to His temple the true Lord, whom you people are seeking, and the messenger of the covenant in whom you are delighting. Look! He will certainly come,Â’ Jehovah of armies has said. ‘But who will be putting up with the day of his coming, and who will be the one standing when he appears? For he will be like the fire of a refiner and like the lye of laundrymen. And he must sit as a refiner and cleanser of silver and must cleanse the sons of Levi; and he must clarify them like gold and like silver, and they will certainly become to Jehovah people presenting a gift offering in righteousness.’”—Mal. 3:1-3. In modern times, this prophecy evidently started to be fulfilled in 1918 when Jehovah, along with “the messenger of the covenant,” Jesus Christ, inspected the spiritual temple. Malachi tells us what happens once this cleansing is completed: “You people will again certainly see the distinction between a righteous one and a wicked one, between one serving God and one who has not served him.” (Mal. 3:18) The surge in activity on the part of the reinvigorated true Christians points to that period as the beginning of the harvesttime. The prophet Daniel spoke of our day when he foretold: “The ones having insight will shine like the brightness of the expanse; and those who are bringing the many to righteousness, like the stars to time indefinite, even forever.” (Dan. 12:3) Who are these ones who shine so brightly? Why, none other than anointed Christians, the genuine wheat that Jesus referred to in his illustration of the wheat and the weeds! The ‘collecting outÂ’ of the weedlike imitation Christians has been clearly recognized by an ever-increasing great crowd of sheeplike ones. In attaching themselves to the remnant of spiritual Israel, these prospective subjects of the Kingdom likewise let their light shine in this bedarkened world.—Zech. 8:23;Matt. 5:14-16; Phil. 2:15. Today, “the sons of the kingdom” eagerly await their glorious, heavenly reward. (Rom. 8:18, 19; 1 Cor. 15:53; Phil. 1:21-24) Until that time, though, they must remain faithful, continuing to shine brightly, standing out as different from “the sons of the wicked one.” (Matt. 13:38; Rev. 2:10) How happy we all can be that we have had the privilege of seeing the results of this symbolic ‘collecting outÂ’ of the weeds in our time! https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/2010201?q=matt+13%3A43&p=par
  7. DON'T LET GREED DESTROY YOUR FAITH! ~ CULTIVATE the FRUITAGE of GOD'S SPIRIT ~ ??????? Greed can manifest itself in love of money, desire for power or gain, or voraciousness for food and drink, sex, or other material things. The Scriptures warn Christians against this degrading trait and command that they should avoid association with anyone calling himself a Christian “brother” who practices greediness. (1Co 5:9,11) Greedy persons are classed with fornicators, idolaters, adulterers, men kept for unnatural purposes, thieves, drunkards, revilers, and extortioners, and indeed, greedy persons generally practice some of these things. If an individual does not turn away from his greediness, he will not inherit the Kingdom of God.—1Co 6:9, 10. In condemnation of foolish talking and obscene jesting, the apostle Paul commands that fornication and uncleanness or greediness “not even be mentioned among you.” This may mean that not only should such practices not exist among Christians but also that they should not even be a topic of their conversation for the purpose of gratifying the flesh.—Eph 5:3. Becomes Manifest in Actions. Greediness will manifest itself in some overt act that will reveal the individual’s wrong and inordinate desire. The Bible writer James tells us that wrong desire, when it has become fertile, gives birth to sin. (Jas 1:14, 15). The greedy person can therefore be detected by his actions. The apostle Paul states that being a greedy person means being an idolater. (Eph 5:5) In his greedy desire such a one makes the thing desired his god, putting it above the service and worship of the Creator.—Ro 1:24, 25. (Ephesians 5:5) 5 For YOU know this, recognizing it for yourselves, that no fornicator or unclean person or greedy person—which means being an idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of the Christ and of God." (1 Corinthians 6:9,10) 9 What! Do YOU not know that unrighteous persons will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men, 10 nor thieves, nor greedy persons, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit God’s kingdom. 11 And yet that is what some of YOU were. But YOU have been washed clean, but YOU have been sanctified, but YOU have been declared righteous in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and with the spirit of our God. (1 Corinthians 5:9-13) 9 In my letter I wrote YOU to quit mixing in company with fornicators, 10 not [meaning] entirely with the fornicators of this world or the greedy persons and extortioners or idolaters. Otherwise, YOU would actually have to get out of the world. 11 But now I am writing YOU to quit mixing in company with anyone called a brother that is a fornicator or a greedy person or an idolater or a reviler or a drunkard or an extortioner, not even eating with such a man. 12 For what do I have to do with judging those outside? Do YOU not judge those inside, 13 while God judges those outside? “Remove the wicked [man] from among yourselves.” jw.org
  8. "The truly wise woman has built up her house, but the foolish one tears it down with her own hands." (Prov. 14:1) ??????????????????? "The truly wise woman builds up her house, But the foolish one tears it down with her Foolish one tears it down with her own hands, own hands." A discreet wife, one in whom her husband can really "put trust," is considerate of… his feelings, just as she wants him to be of hers. (Prov.19:14; 31:11) Parents and children likewise should speak to one another with graciousness. (Matt. 15:4) When talking to younger ones, thoughtfulness will help us to avoid "exasperating" them or 'provoking them to wrath.' (Col. 3:21; Eph. 6:4, ftn.) Even if the children must be disciplined, parents and elders should speak to them respectfully. In this way, older ones make it easier for the youths to correct their course and maintain their relationship with God.   That is so much better than conveying the impression that we have given up on them, whereupon they may give up on themselves. Younger ones might not remember all the counsel they received, but they will remember how others spoke to them. - Bible Speaks
  9. How do you show love today? (1 Corinthians 13:4-8) . . ????? 4."Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous. It does not brag, does not get puffed up, 5 does not behave indecently, does not look for its own interests, does not become provoked. It does not keep account of the injury. 6 It does not rejoice over unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth. 7 It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8 Love never fails." “Have Love Among Yourselves” “I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another; just as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love among yourselves.”—JOHN 13:34, 35 What It Means: Christ told his followers to love one another the way that he loved them. How did Jesus love them? His love transcended the national and gender bias prevalent in his day. (John 4:7-10) Love moved Jesus to sacrifice his time, energy, and personal comfort in order to help others. (Mark 6:30-34) Finally, Christ showed love in the greatest way possible. “I am the fine shepherd,” he said. “The fine shepherd surrenders his soul in behalf of the sheep.”—John 10:11 After Florida was hit by a string of four hurricanes in two months, the chairman of Florida’s Emergency Operations Committee checked to ensure that their supplies were being used properly. He said that no other group was as well organized as Jehovah’s Witnesses, and he offered to provide any supplies needed by the Witnesses. Earlier, in 1997, a relief team of Jehovah’s Witnesses with medicine, food, and clothing traveled to the Democratic Republic of Congo to assist their Christian brothers and others in need. Fellow Witnesses in Europe had donated supplies totaling a million dollars (U.S.). How do you show love today? - Bible Speaks

Blazing fireball lights up Arctic sky in 'glow of 100 full moons' Associated Press 9:54 a.m. EST Nov. 18, 2017 COPENHAGEN, Denmark — A blazing fireball lit up the dark skies of Arctic Finland for five seconds, giving off what scientists said was “the glow of 100 full moons” and igniting hurried attempts to find the reported meteorite. Finnish experts were scrambling to calculate its trajectory and find where it landed, according to Tomas Kohout of the University of HelsinkiÂ’s physics department, who said Thursday nightÂ’s fireball “seems to have been one of the brightest ones.” It produced a blast wave that felt like an explosion about 6:40 p.m. and could also be seen in northern Norway and in RussiaÂ’s Kola peninsula, he told The Associated Press on Saturday. 18. "For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God."–(Rom. 14:10) ???? Although none of us would deliberately want to judge God, our imperfect nature can lead us down this path. This can easily happen when we see something that we view as unfair or if we personally suffer hardship. ???? Even the faithful man Job made this mistake. When beset by a series of calamities that to him appeared to be unfair, Job was led to declare “his own soul righteous rather than God.” (Job 32: 1, 2) Job, however, did not know of the meetings of the angelic sons of God in heaven where Satan falsely accused him. (Job 1: 7-12; 2:1-6) ???? He did not realize that his problems were actually caused by Satan. In fact, we cannot be certain that Job even knew the true identity of Satan! So he wrongly assumed that his problems were caused by God. ???? Therefore, if we find ourselve thinking similarly, remember that it is easy to come to the wrong conclusion when we do not know all the facts. — ???? https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/1200001024?q=rom+14%3A10&p=par
  19. A GOVERNMENT THAT WILL LAST FOREVER? – What type of Government or King do you want to Rule over you? ??????  ~ One for Justice? ~ One Forever by means of Righteous? ~ Only One Government left ~ Learn how to be part of that Government today! ~ 6 “The rulership will rest on his shoulder. His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6,7) 7  "To the increase of his rulership And to peace, there will be no end, On the throne of David and on his kingdom, In order to establish it firmly and to sustain it, Through justice and righteousness, From now on and forever. The zeal of Jehovah of armies will do this." A Sure Foundation for Hope Jesus Christ told his followers: “You must pray . . . this way: ‘Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified. Let your kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also upon earth.’” (Matthew 6:9, 10) That heavenly Kingdom—a government in the hands of Jesus Christ—is GodÂ’s means of expressing His rightful sovereignty over the earth.—Psalm 2:7-12; Daniel 7:13, 14 The many facets of fear that affect every aspect of life today are a clear indication that divine intervention is needed. Happily, that intervention is near! Now enthroned by God as Messianic King, Jesus Christ is entrusted with authority to vindicate JehovahÂ’s sovereignty and sanctify His name. (Matthew 28:18) Soon, Kingdom rule will be directed to the earth to do away with all causes of fear and anxiety. Isaiah 9:6 cites credentials that show Jesus to be a worthy Ruler who can relieve us of our fears. For instance, he is called “Eternal Father,” “Wonderful Counselor,” and “Prince of Peace.” Consider the endearing expression “Eternal Father.” As such, Jesus has the power and authority—as well as the desire—to give obedient humans the prospect of eternal life on earth by the merit of his ransom sacrifice. This means that they will finally be released from sin and imperfection inherited from the sinful first man, Adam. (Matthew 20:28; Romans 5:12; 6:23) Christ will also apply his God-given authority to bring back to life many who have died.—John 11:25, 26 When on earth, Jesus proved to be the “Wonderful Counselor.” Because of his knowledge of GodÂ’s Word and his extraordinary understanding of human nature, Jesus knew how to solve the problems of daily life. Since his enthronement in heaven, Christ continues to be the “Wonderful Counselor,” serving as the principal figure in JehovahÂ’s channel of communication to mankind. JesusÂ’ counsel, recorded in the Bible, is always wise and flawless. Knowing and believing this can lead you to a life free of uncertainty and paralyzing fear. Isaiah 9:6 also identifies Jesus as the “Prince of Peace.” In that capacity, Christ will soon use his power to remove all inequality—political, social, and economic. How? By bringing mankind under the one peaceful rule of the Messianic Kingdom.—Daniel 2:44 Under Kingdom rule, lasting peace will prevail earth wide. Why can you be sure of this? The reason is revealed at Isaiah 11:9, where we read: “They [the KingdomÂ’s subjects] will not do any harm or cause any ruin in all my holy mountain; because the earth will certainly be filled with the knowledge of Jehovah as the waters are covering the very sea.” Eventually, every human on earth will have accurate knowledge of God and will be obedient to him. Does that prospect warm your heart? If it does, do not delay in taking in the precious “knowledge of Jehovah.” Learn more at: jw.org OR Ask for a Bible study free of charge. https://www.jw.org/en/free-bible-study/

  21. Take Refuge In The Name of Jehovah! ? "But as for me, the drawing near to God is good for me. In the Sovereign Lord Jehovah I have placed my refuge, To declare all your works." (Psalms 73:28). We can cultivate love for God by reading his Word daily and meditating on what it reveals about him. In heartfelt prayer, we can praise Jehovah and thank him for his goodness to us. (Philippians 4:6-7) Do not be anxious over anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving let YOUR petitions be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God that excels all thought will guard YOUR hearts and YOUR mental powers by means of Christ Jesus." We can sing to Jehovah and benefit from regular association with his people. (Hebrews 10:23-25) Let us hold fast the public declaration of our hope without wavering, for he is faithful that promised. 24 And let us consider one another to incite to love and fine works, 25 not forsaking the gathering of ourselves together, as some have the custom, but encouraging one another, and all the more so as YOU behold the day drawing near." Then, too, our love for God will grow as we engage in the ministry and declare “the good news of salvation by him.” (Psalm 96:1-3) Sing to Jehovah a new song. Sing to Jehovah, all [YOU people of] the earth. 2 Sing to Jehovah, bless his name. From day to day tell the good news of salvation by him. 3 Declare among the nations his glory, Among all the peoples his wonderful works." We uphold JehovahÂ’s sovereignty and maintain our integrity by preaching righteousness, making disciples, applying Scriptural counsel, and assembling with fellow believers at meetings, assemblies, and conventions. Such activities help us to be courageous, spiritually strong, and successful in doing GodÂ’s will. This is not too difficult for us because we have the support of our heavenly Father and his Son. (Deuteronomy 30:11-14) “For this commandment that I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you, nor is it far away. 12 It is not in the heavens, so as to result in saying, ‘Who will ascend for us into the heavens and get it for us, that he may let us hear it that we may do it?Â’ 13 Neither is it on the other side of the sea.” – BibleSpeaks  – Picture of GodÂ’s Name at Genesis 15:2 in William Tyndale Translation of the Pentateuch, 1530  Â
