We Are Glad to Have a Shepherd that Cares! ~
    ?????????
(John 10:7-11) . . .: “Most truly I say to YOU, I am the door of the sheep. 8 All those that have come in place of me are thieves and plunderers; but the sheep have not listened to them. 9 I am the door; whoever enters through me will be saved, and he will go in and out and find pasturage. 10 The thief does not come unless it is to steal and slay and destroy. I have come that they might have life and might have it in abundance. 11 I am the fine shepherd; the fine shepherd surrenders his soul in behalf of the sheep."
    ?????????
Once there was a good shepherd. He had one hundred sheep. If you would begin counting, “One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten,” you would count on and on before you came to one hundred. One hundred is quite a lot.
    ?????????
The good shepherd lived with his sheep out in the fields. His face was tanned brown by the sun and the wind. His eyes were bright from watching to see that nothing hurt his sheep. He carried a strong stick. He used it to strike any lion or bear that might try to kill his sheep.
    ?????????
He also carried a stick with a curved end, a crook. If a sheep fell into a hole, he would put the crook about its leg or catch it in the thick wool, and pull it out. If a lamb fell into a river, he would put the crook about its little body and draw it safely to land.
    ?????????
Every morning the good shepherd led his sheep to fields where the grass was green, and watched them eat. Every morning he led them to places where the water was quiet and fresh, and watched them drink.
    ?????????
At night, when the black shadows came creeping up the hillsides, the good shepherd called his sheep to the sheepfold. Each sheep had a name. The good shepherd knew them all. He would call, “Rosebud! Olive Blossom! Palm Tree!” and the sheep would answer his call and come to the sheepfold.
    ?????????
Around the sheepfold was a wide stone wall, with thorns on the top, to keep lions and bears from jumping over. The shepherd stood at the door and held the sheep back, one by one, with his stick. If a sheep had fallen down and hurt itself, he bathed the sore spot with oil. If a little lamb was tired out from playing all day long, he rubbed oil on its head, and gave it water to drink from a big cup with two handles.
    ?????????
One day the good shepherd counted his sheep. He began, “One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten.” He got up to twenty, to thirty, to eighty, to ninety. There were only a few left. “Ninety-one, ninety-two, ninety-three, ninety-four,” he counted, “ninety-five, ninety-six, ninety-seven, ninety-eight, ninety-nine.”
    ?????????
The next would have been one hundred, but there were no more! One sheep was lost. Oh, how sorry the good shepherd felt!
    ?????????
He left the ninety-nine sheep with another shepherd, and set out at once to hunt for the lost one. Far, far he went, over the hills, through the fields, and along steep, narrow paths. When he passed a hole he looked down into it to see if his lost sheep had fallen in. Now and then he came across a little footprint, which showed him that his sheep had gone that way. Now and then he found bits of white wool caught on the briers. Every once in a while he would call the sheep’s name and listen, but he would hear no answer. Then he would call again and listen — no answer. ?
    ?????????
At last he thought he heard a faint bleat, very faint and far away. He hurried on, and the bleating grew louder and nearer, and louder and nearer, till he came to his lost sheep. It was tired and hungry and frightened.
    ?????????
He lifted it gently, and every step of the way he carried it, held close and warm against his shoulder. He would not let his tired sheep walk.
    ?????????
When he reached home he called together his friends and said, “Be glad with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost.”
    ?????????
He was tired, for he had gone far, over the hills, and through the fields, and along the steep, narrow paths, but he did not mind, so long as his sheep was found. He was a good shepherd.
    ?????????
(Matthew 18:12-14) 12 “What do YOU think? If a certain man comes to have a hundred sheep and one of them gets strayed, will he not leave the ninety-nine upon the mountains and set out on a search for the one that is straying? 13 And if he happens to find it, I certainly tell YOU, he rejoices more over it than over the ninety-nine that have not strayed. 14 Likewise it is not a desirable thing with my Father who is in heaven for one of these little ones to perish."

Jehovah’s Judgment Will Come Against the Wicked
“Get ready to meet your God.”—AMOS 4:12
    ??☄️??
    (2 Peter 3:3-14) NWT 2013
"First of all know this, that in the last days ridiculers will come with their ridicule, proceeding according to their own desires 4 and saying: “Where is this promised presence of his? Why, from the day our forefathers fell asleep in death, all things are continuing exactly as they were from creation’s beginning.”
    ??☄️??
5 For they deliberately ignore this fact, that long ago there were heavens and an earth standing firmly out of water and in the midst of water by the word of God; 6 and that by those means the world of that time suffered destruction when it was flooded with water. 7 But by the same word the heavens and the earth that now exist are reserved for fire and are being kept until the day of judgment and of destruction of the ungodly people.
    ??☄️?
8 However, do not let this escape your notice, beloved ones, that one day is with Jehovah as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day. 9 Jehovah is not slow concerning his promise, as some people consider slowness, but he is patient with you because he does not desire anyone to be destroyed but desires all to attain to repentance. 10 But Jehovah’s day will come as a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar, but the elements being intensely hot will be dissolved, and earth and the works in it will be exposed.
    ??☄️?
11 Since all these things are to be dissolved in this way, consider what sort of people you ought to be in holy acts of conduct and deeds of godly devotion, 12 as you await and keep close in mind the presence of the day of Jehovah, through which the heavens will be destroyed in flames and the elements will melt in the intense heat! 13 But there are new heavens and a new earth that we are awaiting according to his promise, and in these righteousness is to dwell.
    ??☄️?
14 Therefore, beloved ones, since you are awaiting these things, do your utmost to be found finally by him spotless and unblemished and in peace."

Waiting on Jehovah Is a Mark of Faith
We may have desires that we long to see fulfilled. Marriage, having children, and good health are all natural and appropriate desires. For many, though, one or more of those desires may go unfulfilled. If that is so in our case, how we deal with the situation may be a measure of our faith.
    ? ????
What desires do you long to see fulfilled? Is your faith strong enough for you to wait on Jehovah, who promises to satisfy your proper yearnings? (Ps. 145:16) As was true with Abraham, the fulfillment of some divine promises may not come as soon as we would like. Still, Jehovah values our developing faith like Abraham’s and our acting in harmony with it. Doing so is surely to our ultimate benefit.—Heb. 11:6

You can take great comfort in knowing that Jehovah views as belonging to him faithful ones whom he has drawn. “Wise in Heart”—Yet Humble!
    ?????
What kind of Father is Jehovah—haughty or humble, harsh or mild? Jehovah is all-knowing, all-wise. Have you noticed, though, that knowledge and intelligence do not necessarily make people humble? As the Bible says, “knowledge puffs up.” (1 Corinthians 3:19; 8:1)
    ?????
But Jehovah, who is “wise in heart,” is also humble. (Job 9:4) Not that he is in any way low in position or lacking in grandeur, but he is devoid of haughtiness. Why is that so?
    ?????
Jehovah is holy. So haughtiness, a quality that defiles, is not in him. (Mark 7:20-22) Further, note what the prophet Jeremiah said to Jehovah: “Without fail your soul [Jehovah himself] will remember and bow low over me.”* (Lamentations 3:20)
    ?????
Imagine! Jehovah, the Sovereign Lord of the universe, was willing to “bow low,” or come down to Jeremiah’s level, in order to give that imperfect human favorable attention. (Psalm 113:7)
    ?????
How Jehovah Proves to Be Humble
Humility is lowliness of mind, absence of arrogance and pride. An inner quality of the heart, humility is manifest in such traits as mildness, patience, and reasonableness. (Galatians 5:22, 23)
    ?????
Jehovah is reasonable in what he expects of us. King David said: “He himself well knows the formation of us, remembering that we are dust.” (Psalm 103:14) Jehovah understands our limitations and our imperfections better than we ourselves do. He never expects of us more than we can do. The Bible contrasts those human masters who are “good and reasonable” with those who are “hard to please.”
    (1 Peter 2:18)
    ?????
Which type of Master is Jehovah? Note what Proverbs 19:17 says: “He that is showing favor to the lowly one is lending to Jehovah.” Clearly, only a good and reasonable master would take note of every act of kindness performed in behalf of lowly ones. More than that, this scripture suggests that the Creator of the universe, in effect, views himself as indebted to the mere humans who perform such deeds of mercy! Here is humility of the most profound kind.

Marriage Should Be a Permanent Bond - Why is Man and Woman not as Innocent as Swans? - There are No Fairy Tales! ~
    ????????
JUDGING by the conclusion of many movies, marriage is a desirable goal. Often, the man and the woman finally get together, get married, and live “happily ever after.” In films, that is usually the end of the story.
    ????????
In reality, the wedding is, not the end, but the beginning of a new life together. And hopefully, as Ecclesiastes 7:8 says, “better is the end afterward of a matter than its beginning.”
    After the Wedding Day
    ????????
It has rightly been said that in the life of a Christian, marriage is second in importance only to his or her dedication to God. The latter binds one to the Creator forever, and baptism makes that publicly manifest.
    ????????
Marriage is the public declaration of commitment to another person—forever. It is unthinkable either to dedicate oneself to God or to forge a marriage bond while having serious reservations. Therefore, those contemplating marriage do well to examine carefully the prospective mate’s beliefs, goals, attitudes, and disposition.

Are You Reflecting the Glory of Jehovah?
    ???
"There is no man that does not sin." (2 Chron. 6:36)
    ???
Despite our sinful condition, Jehovah has proved to be “the God who gives hope.” (Rom. 15:13) He has provided the means for abolishing sin—the ransom sacrifice of Jesus Christ. By exercising faith in that sacrifice, we are no longer “slaves to sin,” but we are in a position to reflect Jehovah’s glory. (Rom. 5:19; 6:6;John 3:16)
    ???
Maintaining this approved relationship with God guarantees us Jehovah’s blessing now as well as the future benefits of perfection and everlasting life. Although we are still sinful humans, what a blessing it is to be viewed by God as individuals who can reflect his glory!
    ???
To be in the proper position to reflect God’s glory, we must honestly recognize our sinful nature. (2 Chron. 6:36)
    ???
Jesus was the only human who ever lived and died without failing to please God and reflect His glory. Although we are not perfect as Jesus was, we can and should strive to follow his example. (1 Pet. 2:21) Jehovah weighs the effort we put forth along with the progress we make, and he blesses our earnest endeavor to bring him glory.
    ???
Jehovah’s written Word can illuminate for us the pathway to improvement. In-depth study of the Scriptures and meditative Bible reading are essential. (Ps. 1:1-3)
    ???
Reading the Scriptures daily will help us to make improvement. (Read James 1:22-25.) Bible knowledge is the basis for our faith and is the means of fortifying our determination to avoid grave sin and to please Jehovah.—Ps. 119:11, 47, 48.
    ???
To reflect God’s glory, we also need to “persevere in prayer.” (Rom. 12:12) We can and should pray that Jehovah help us to serve him in an acceptable way. To that end, we can properly ask him for holy spirit, for more faith, for strength to resist temptation, and for ability to ‘handle the word of the truth aright.’ (2 Tim. 2:15; Matt. 6:13; Luke 11:13;17:5)
    ???
As a child depends on his father, so we need to depend on our heavenly Father, Jehovah. If we ask him to help us serve him more fully, we can have confidence that he will do so. May we never feel that we are a bother to him! Instead, in prayer let us praise him, thank him, seek his direction especially when under trial, and ask that he help us to serve him in ways that glorify his holy name.—Ps. 86:12; Jas. 1:5-7.

News World Jehovah's Witness in Crimea 'ordered to renounce faith to be drafted into Russian army'
Crimean authorities may have breached international laws by ordering a Jehovah's Witness to prove he has abandoned his faith before being drafted into the occupying Russian army, according to a human rights monitor. Members of the Christian denomination, which is deeply opposed to military service, were previously allowed to sign up for alternative civilian service in Russia, where men have to complete a year's draft in the army between the ages of 18-27. But there have been several reports of Jehovah's Witnesses being denied the right to serve as civilians after the religion was banned by the country's Supreme Court in April. 75,000 worshippers were criminalised when judges ruled that their religion violated an anti-extremism law, paving the way for 395 local chapters to be shut down.
Russian military officials in Crimea have since told a Jehovah's Witness to provide evidence he has changed his faith before he is allowed to join their ranks, according to Jehovah's Witnesses In Russia.
Paperwork said to have been issued by a military centre in the region said Jehovah's Witnesses could start civilian service "only on condition of renouncing their religious beliefs".The order is thought to breach the Geneva Convention, which bars armies from conscripting citizens in occupied territories, stating: "The Occupying Power may not compel protected persons to serve in its armed or auxiliary forces.
"No pressure or propaganda which aims at securing voluntary enlistment is permitted.”
Russia has continued to conscript soldiers from Crimea into its army, despite the United Nations recognising them as an occupying force in the region following a resolution passed in December 2016.
Crimean conscripts are deployed across Russia, which appears to violate another Geneva Convention article barring "individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory to the territory of the occupying power".Vladimir Putin has faced calls to stop conscription in Crimea from Ukraine's foreign affairs ministry, according to Newsweek.
Jehovah's Witnesses have reported other human rights violations, including Russian authorities raiding peaceful meetings, following the Supreme Court ruling, which is set to be appealed in July.
A Danish member has been arrested and is reportedly facing up to 10 years in prison.

Crimean authorities may have breached international laws by ordering a Jehovah's Witness to prove he has abandoned his faith >>>>>before being drafted into the occupying Russian army<<<<<<<They are not in the army.
