Bible Speaks reacted to Melinda Mills in Representatives of the Guinness Book of Records is ready to commit a new world record for the number of letters written
A great tribulation involving all mankind will occur before Armageddon. Conditions on earth will be severe and life threatening.
    See following scripture:
    *** Bible Citations ***
Matt 24:21-22:  "21 for then there will be great tribulation such as has not occurred since the world’s beginning until now, no, nor will occur again. 22 In fact, unless those days were cut short, no flesh would be saved; but on account of the chosen ones those days will be cut short."
Armageddon will not come when we are expecting it. See following scripture.
    *** Bible Citations ***
Matthew 24: 42-44: "42 Keep on the watch, therefore, because you do not know on what day your Lord is coming. 43 “But know one thing: If the householder had known in what watch the thief was coming, he would have kept awake and not allowed his house to be broken into. 44 On this account, you too prove yourselves ready, because the Son of man is coming at an hour that YOU do not think to be it."
(1 Thessalonians 5:1-3) "5 Now as for the times and the seasons, brothers, you need nothing to be written to you. 2 For you yourselves know very well that Jehovah’s day is coming exactly as a thief in the night. 3 Whenever it is that they are saying, “Peace and security!” then sudden destruction is to be instantly on them, just like birth pains on a pregnant woman, and they will by no means escape. . ."

Bible Speaks reacted to Bible Speaks in Jeremiah - Jehovah Was Like a Burning Fire ? In My Bones And Could Not Hold It In Anymore!
7 "You have fooled me, O Jehovah, and I was fooled.
You used your strength against me, and you prevailed.
    I have become a laughingstock all day long;
Everyone ridicules me." 8 "For whenever I speak, I must cry out and proclaim,
    “Violence and destruction!”
For me the word of Jehovah has been the cause of insults and jeering all day long." 9 "So I said: “I am not going to make mention of him,
And I will speak no more in his name.”
But in my heart it became like a burning fire shut up in my bones,
    And I was tired of holding it in;
I could no longer endure it."

Bible Speaks reacted to Bible Speaks in Jehovah Is A God of Eternity! His Understanding Is Unsearchable!
28 ¿No lo sabéis? ¿No lo has oído?

Bible Speaks reacted to Bible Speaks in Drawing Near To God Is Good For Me In The Sovereign Lord Jehovah I Have Placed My Refuge ??
(Psalm 73:28) "But as for me, the drawing near to God is good for me. In the Sovereign Lord Jehovah I have placed my refuge, To declare all your works."
We can cultivate love for God by reading his Word daily and meditating on what it reveals about him. In heartfelt prayer, we can praise Jehovah and thank him for his goodness to us. (Philippians 4:6-7) Do not be anxious over anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving let YOUR petitions be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God that excels all thought will guard YOUR hearts and YOUR mental powers by means of Christ Jesus." We can sing to Jehovah and benefit from regular association with his people. (Hebrews 10:23-25)
Let us hold fast the public declaration of our hope without wavering, for he is faithful that promised. 24 And let us consider one another to incite to love and fine works, 25 not forsaking the gathering of ourselves together, as some have the custom, but encouraging one another, and all the more so as YOU behold the day drawing near." Then, too, our love for God will grow as we engage in the ministry and declare “the good news of salvation by him.” (Psalm 96:1-3)
Sing to Jehovah a new song. Sing to Jehovah, all [YOU people of] the earth. 2 Sing to Jehovah, bless his name. From day to day tell the good news of salvation by him. 3 Declare among the nations his glory, Among all the peoples his wonderful works." We uphold Jehovah’s sovereignty and maintain our integrity by preaching righteousness, making disciples, applying Scriptural counsel, and assembling with fellow believers at meetings, assemblies, and conventions.
Such activities help us to be courageous, spiritually strong, and successful in doing God’s will. This is not too difficult for us because we have the support of our heavenly Father and his Son.
(Deuteronomy 30:11-14) “For this commandment that I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you, nor is it far away. 12 It is not in the heavens, so as to result in saying, ‘Who will ascend for us into the heavens and get it for us, that he may let us hear it that we may do it?’ 13 Neither is it on the other side of the sea."

Bible Speaks got a reaction from John Lindsay Barltrop in "The Return Of The Prodigal Son" - Video
Greetings from Guatemala. I had an awesome experience on a bus. I got permission from the bus driver to show “The Return of the Prodigal Son” (El regreso del hijo prodigo) .. in Spanish, of course.
You see, most long distance buses are equipped with flat-screen TV’s, and many times inappropriate movies are shown during the bus ride.
I remembered a similar experience from Ecuador in the 2010 yearbook, and I decided to put it into practice here in Guatemala.
On this particular bus ride, I observed all the passengers readily watching the video. One lady asked me if it was a Mormon video. I got a chance to witness to her.
If anyone would like to try this method of suggesting JW.org videos on bus rides, I would suggest carrying the DVD’s with you. Since most of us have the videos downloaded on our devices, the DVD’s aren’t used as much anymore.
But we can put them to use on long distance buses in these developing countries. ???? Tuve una experiencia muy amena… obtuvé permiso para ponerlo.@misuni_verzo thank you

Bible Speaks reacted to Bible Speaks in Jehovah Is A God of Eternity! His Understanding Is Unsearchable!
28 Do you not know? Have you not heard? Jehovah, the Creator of the ends of the earth, is a God for all eternity. He never tires out or grows weary. His understanding is unsearchable.."        (Isaiah 40:28)
Isaiah records Jehovah’s words describing the feelings of the exiles in Babylon, hundreds of miles from their homeland. Some think that their “way”—the hard course of their life—is unseen or unknown by their God.
They think that Jehovah is indifferent to the injustices they suffer. They are reminded of things that they should know, if not from personal experience, then at least from information that has been handed down.
Jehovah is able and willing to deliver his people. He is the eternal God and the Creator of the entire earth. Hence, he still possesses the power he displayed in creation, and not even mighty Babylon is beyond his reach. Such a God cannot grow tired and fail his people. They ought not to expect to be able fully to grasp Jehovah’s doings, for his understanding—or insight, discernment, and perception—is beyond their comprehension.

Bible Speaks reacted to Arauna in Thomas Emlyn—Blasphemer or Advocate of Truth?
It is amazing that these kind of people, who stood up for the Truth centuries ago, could stand so firm without the support structure that we have today. They really took their bible reading and vocation seriously whereas the other clergy just loved the position they were in and merely saw their work as a daily job.... not a serious calling to speak the truth and assist people to get closer to god.  They ( like Emlyn) must have had a little extra holy spirit.

Bible Speaks got a reaction from Johnnifer in “JUST THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT WAS EXPECTED”
“JUST THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT WAS EXPECTED” NEVER GIVE UP!
Dr. N. S. Gordienko, a professor at Herzen University in St. Petersburg, described in his book what the persecutors accomplished. He wrote: “The results were just the opposite of what was expected; they wanted to weaken the organization of Jehovah’s Witnesses in the USSR, but in fact they only strengthened it. In new settlements where no one had heard of their religious confession, Jehovah’s Witnesses ‘infected’ the locals by their faith and their loyalty to it.”
Many Witnesses quickly adapted to their new circumstances. Small congregations were organized, and territory was assigned. Nikolai Kalibaba says: “There was a time in Siberia when we did preach from house to house or, more accurately, from one house to another house two or three houses down. But this was risky. How did we do it? After the first visit, we tried to make a return visit in about a month. We started out by asking people, ‘Are you selling any chickens, goats, or cows?’ Then we gradually turned the conversation to the Kingdom.
After a while, the KGB learned about this, and soon an article was published in the newspaper warning the local population against talking with Jehovah’s Witnesses. The article said that the Witnesses went from house to house asking people for goats, cows, and chickens—but what we really wanted were sheep!”
Gavriil Livy relates: “The brothers tried to participate in the ministry even though they were closely watched by the KGB. The attitude of the Soviet people was such that if they suspected that someone was attempting to talk to them about a religious topic, they immediately sounded the alarm for the police to come.
Despite this, we continued to preach, although without any visible results at first. However, over time the truth began to change some of the local people.
One of them was a Russian man who drank heavily. Upon learning the truth, he brought his life into harmony with Bible principles and became an active Witness. Later, a KGB officer called him and said: ‘Whom are you spending your time with? Those Witnesses are all Ukrainians.’
“The brother replied: ‘When I was a drunkard and wallowing in the gutter, you paid me no attention. Now that I’ve become a normal person and a citizen, you decide that you don’t like it. Many Ukrainians are leaving Siberia, but they will leave behind local Siberians whom God is teaching how to live.’”
After a few years, an official from Irkutsk wrote to Moscow: “Several local workers have declared that all of these [Jehovah’s Witnesses] should be sent to one area in the north somewhere so that they would be cut off from all contact with the population and be re-educated.” Neither Siberia nor Moscow knew what could be done to silence Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Bible Speaks reacted to Bible Speaks in Trust in Jehovah—The God of “Times and Seasons”
Trust in Jehovah—The God of “Times and Seasons”
“He is changing times and seasons, removing kings and setting up kings.”—DAN. 2:21.
How should recognizing that Kingdom rule has begun and that we are living in “the time of the end” affect us? (Dan. 12:4)
Many see the worsening world conditions yet fail to acknowledge that these developments fulfill Bible prophecy regarding the last days. They may expect this system to fall apart one day or may believe that somehow human efforts will achieve “peace and security.” (1 Thess. 5:3)
But what about us? If we recognize that we are living deep in the last days of Satan’s world, should we not endeavor to use the remaining time to serve the God of “times and seasons” and help others come to know him? (2 Tim. 3:1) We ought to make wise decisions about how we use our time.—Read Ephesians 5:15-17.
Although the Son of man is coming at an hour we do not think to be it, we need to remember that Jehovah is the Great Timekeeper. His timetable is not controlled by world events and human plans. Jehovah regulates the timing and outcome of matters to accomplish his will. (Read Daniel 2:21.)
In fact, Proverbs 21:1 tells us: “A king’s heart is as streams of water in the hand of Jehovah. Everywhere that he delights to, he turns it.”
Jehovah can influence events in order to accomplish his purpose and fulfill it on time. Many of the momentous changes in the world have been fulfilling prophecy, particularly in regard to the global preaching of the good news of God’s Kingdom.
Few would have thought that such enormous political changes could happen so quickly. As a result of these changes, however, the good news is now being preached throughout many lands where our work was previously banned. By all means, then, let us buy out the opportune time to serve the God of “times and seasons” faithfully.
Now is not the time to “waver in a lack of faith”; it is the time to become powerful by faith. (Rom. 4:20) God’s enemies—Satan and those under his influence—are trying to stop the work that Jesus assigned to His followers, including us. (Matt. 28:19, 20)
Despite the Devil’s attacks, we know Jehovah as “a living God, who is a Savior of all sorts of men, especially of faithful ones.” He “knows how to deliver people of godly devotion out of trial.”—1 Tim. 4:10; 2 Pet. 2:9.
Soon, Jehovah will bring an end to this wicked system of things. While we have not been given all the details and the exact time when this will occur, we do know that at just the right time, Christ will do away with God’s enemies, and Jehovah’s sovereignty will be vindicated. So, then, what a mistake it would be to fail to discern “the times and the seasons” in which we now live! May we never fall into the snare of thinking that “all things are continuing exactly as from creation’s beginning.”—1 Thess. 5:1; 2 Pet. 3:3, 4.

Bible Speaks reacted to Bible Speaks in Imitate the Faith of Moses
"[Moses] considered the reproach of the Christ to be riches greater than the treasures of Egypt."—Heb. 11:26.
    Imitate the Faith of Moses
“By faith Moses, when grown up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter.”—HEBREWS 11:24.
MOSES knew the kind of future that Egypt could offer him. He saw the large, beautiful houses of the wealthy. He had been adopted by the king’s family. He “was instructed in all the wisdom of the Egyptians,” which probably included the arts, astronomy, mathematics, and other sciences. (Acts 7:22)
It would have been very easy for him to have the money, power, and privileges that a common Egyptian could never have.
Despite all the opportunities Moses had, he made a decision when he was 40 years old that must have been impossible for Pharaoh and his family to understand. He chose to give up his future in Egypt.
Did he want the life of a common Egyptian? No, not even that! He chose to suffer with slaves. Why? Moses had faith. (Read Hebrews 11:24-26.)
Because of his faith, it was as if Moses could see Jehovah. He had faith in “the One who is invisible” and in the fulfillment of God’s promises.—Hebrews 11:27.
Like Moses, we need to have eyes of faith to see more than what the world has to offer and to see Jehovah. We must be “the sort who have faith.” (Hebrews 10:38, 39) To help us strengthen our faith, let us examine what is written about Moses at Hebrews 11:24-26.
As we do so, try to answer these questions: How did faith help Moses to reject fleshly desires? When he faced opposition, how did faith help him to value his privilege of serving Jehovah? And why did Moses look “intently toward the payment of the reward”?
Jehovah knows what is best for you. Moses said: “What is Jehovah your God asking of you? Only this: to fear Jehovah your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve Jehovah your God with all your heart and all your soul, and to keep the commandments and statutes of Jehovah that I am commanding you today for your own good.” (Deuteronomy 10:12, 13)
While you are young, choose a career that will make it possible for you to serve and love Jehovah “with all your heart and all your soul.” You can be confident that such a choice will be “for your own good.”

Bible Speaks reacted to Bible Speaks in A New World of Justice ? ?
    A New World of Justice
The Bible tells us what kind of rulership we can expect, rulership that all righthearted individuals now long for. Psalm 145:16 will then find fulfillment in its completest sense: “You [Jehovah God] are opening your hand andsatisfying the desire of every living thing.”
Moreover, Isaiah 32:1 says: “Look! A king [Christ Jesus in heaven] will reign for righteousness itself; and as respects princes [Christ’s earthly representatives], they will rule as princes for justice itself.”
Regarding the King Jesus Christ, Isaiah 9:7 foretells: “To the abundance of the princely rule and to peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David and upon his kingdom in order to establish it firmly and to sustain it by means of justice and by means of righteousness, from now on and to time indefinite. The very zeal of Jehovah of armies will do this.”

Bible Speaks reacted to Bible Speaks in Thomas Emlyn—Blasphemer or Advocate of Truth?
Do You Believe in the Trinity? See what this man Thomas Emlyn did?
Thomas Emlyn—Blasphemer or Advocate of Truth?
WHO was Thomas Emlyn, and what moved him to take a stand for truth? What might we learn from him that could help us today?
To answer those questions, we need to go back to the late 17th and early 18th centuries in England and Ireland. The Church of England then wielded considerable authority. Various Protestant groups and individuals were at odds with the church.
    WHO WAS HE?
It was into this environment that Thomas Emlyn was born on May 27, 1663, at Stamford, Lincolnshire, England. At the age of 19, he preached his first sermon. Later, he became a chaplain for a countess who lived in London; and still later, he moved to Belfast, Ireland.
In Belfast he eventually officiated in a parish church. As time passed, Emlyn served as a minister in several places, including Dublin.
WHY WAS HE ACCUSED OF BLASPHEMY?
During those times, Emlyn was carefully studying the Bible. His studies caused him to doubt the Trinity, although he had originally believed in it. As he researched the Gospels, he became convinced that they supported his improved understanding.
Emlyn did not immediately reveal what he had found. However, some in his Dublin church noticed that he did not refer to the Trinity in his sermons. Knowing that his findings would not be received well by others, he wrote: “I cannot hope to continue here in my present post, when once I have professed.” In June 1702, two associates confronted him about the omission of the Trinity from his sermons. Emlyn confessed that he no longer believed in it and offered to resign.

Emlyn’s publication that presented Scriptural proof as to why Jesus could not be the Supreme God
Within a few days, he left Dublin, Ireland, for England. However, after ten weeks he returned to Dublin to settle some affairs, with the goal of moving to London permanently. While there, hoping to vindicate his views, he published An Humble Inquiry Into the Scripture-Account of Jesus Christ. In this publication, he gave clear Scriptural proof as to why Jesus could not be the Supreme God. This infuriated members of Emlyn’s former congregation in Dublin. A formal complaint was filed.
Emlyn was arrested and brought before the Queen’s Bench Court in Dublin on June 14, 1703. In his True Narrative of the Proceedings, Emlyn states that he was indicted “for writing and publishing a book, wherein, it says, I had blasphemously and maliciously asserted, etc. That Jesus Christ was not equal to God the Father.” The trial proved to be a farce. Seven bishops of the Church of Ireland sat on the bench with the judges. Emlyn was not allowed to speak in his own defense. Richard Levins, a distinguished lawyer, told Emlyn that he would be run down “like a wolf, without law or game.” At the conclusion of the trial, Richard Pyne, Ireland’s Lord Chief Justice, told the jury that if they did not come to the expected verdict, his “lords the bishops were there,” perhaps implying that the jury would be duly punished.
“I suffer for what I take to be his [God’s] truth and glory.”—Thomas Emlyn
When Emlyn was found guilty, the solicitor-general proposed that he retract. Emlyn refused. He was fined and sentenced to a year’s imprisonment. Because he could not pay the fine, he stayed in prison for two years until a friend convinced authorities to reduce the amount. Emlyn was released on July 21, 1705. The ignominies he suffered moved him to declare, as earlier quoted: “I suffer for what I take to be his [God’s] truth and glory.”
Emlyn moved to London, where he eventually associated with William Whiston, another Bible scholar who had been ostracized because he published what he felt was Bible truth. Whiston respected Emlyn, calling him “‘the first and principal confessor’ of ‘old christianity.’”
WHY DID HE REJECT THE TRINITY?
Like William Whiston and another respected scholar, Isaac Newton, Emlyn found that the Bible does not support the Trinity doctrine as reflected in the Athanasian Creed. He explained: “After much serious thought, and study of the holy Scriptures, . . . I found great reason . . . to alter my judgment, in relation to formerly received opinions of the Trinity.” He concluded that “the God and Father of Jesus Christ is alone the Supreme Being.”
What brought Emlyn to that conclusion? He found many scriptures pointing to differences between Jesus and His Father. Here are just a few examples (Emlyn’s comments on the scriptures are in italics):
John 17:3: “Christ is never said to be that one God or so God, as to be the only God.” Only the Father is called “the only true God.” John 5:30: “The Son does not his own will, but the will of the Father.” John 5:26: “His Life is given him of the Father.” Ephesians 1:3: “Whereas Jesus Christ is commonly styled the Son of God, we never find the Father styled the Father of God, tho he be oft called the Father of our Lord Jesus.” After Emlyn considered all the evidence, he emphatically stated: “There is no one passage in holy Scripture, wherein it can be so much as pretended, that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are expressly said to be one and the same individual being.”
    WHAT CAN WE LEARN?
Many today back off from taking a stand for what the Scriptures teach. But Emlyn was willing to stand up for Bible truth. He raised the question, “If a man may not profess the most important truths, which he finds clear and evident in the holy Scriptures, to what end should he read and search them?” Emlyn would not compromise the truth.
The example set by Emlyn and others can move us to consider whether we are willing to stand up for the truth in the face of scorn. We too can ask ourselves, ‘Which is more important—the honor and blessing of the community or upholding the truth of God’s Word?’

The Levites’ prayer refers to two specific sins committed by Israel soon after they had promised to keep God’s Law at Mount Sinai. For these, they rightly deserved to be left alone to die. But the prayer praises Jehovah: “In your abundant mercy [you] did not leave them in the wilderness. . . . For forty years you provided them with food . . . They lacked nothing. Their very garments did not wear out, and their feet themselves did not become swollen.” (Neh. 9:19, 21)
Today, Jehovah also provides us with everything we need to serve him faithfully. May we never be like the thousands of Israelites who died in the wilderness because of their disobedience and lack of faith. In fact, those things “were written for a warning to us upon whom the ends of the systems of things have arrived.”—1 Cor. 10:1-11.

God’s people willingly supported true worship in various ways
The nation prepared for and celebrated the Festival of Booths in the correct way Each day the people gathered to listen to the reading of God’s Law, which made them rejoice The people confessed their sins, prayed, and asked Jehovah to bless them The people agreed to continue supporting all theocratic arrangements Continued support of theocratic arrangements included:

Marrying only those who worshipped Jehovah

    Making monetary contributions

    Observing the Sabbath

    Supplying wood for the altar

Giving the firstfruits of the harvest and the firstborn of the flocks to Jehovah http://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/202016047?q=neh+9%3A21&p=par

Bible Speaks reacted to Bible Speaks in Let The Evil Man Leave His Ways and Jehovah Will Have Mercy on Him
No matter how far you go in the wrong direction, there's always a chance to turn your life around.
    "Let the wicked man leave his way, And the evil man his thoughts;
Let him return to Jehovah, who will have mercy on him,
To our God, for he will forgive in a large way." (Isa.55:11)
Loyalty is a warm quality that includes devotion, faithfulness, and unswerving allegiance. A loyal person is not fickle. Rather, he lovingly attaches himself to someone (or something), sticking closely to that person (or thing) even through difficult circumstances. Yes, Jehovah is the supremely “loyal One.”— (Rev. 16:5)
How can we imitate Jehovah’s loyalty? One way is by taking action in behalf of those who are facing difficult circumstances. (Prov. 3:27)
For example, do you know of a fellow believer who is discouraged, perhaps because of health problems, family opposition, or personal failings? Why not take the initiative to offer that person some “good words, comforting words”? (Zech. 1:13)
Doing so, you are proving yourself to be a loyal and true friend, one “sticking closer than a brother.”— (Prov. 18:24)
We can imitate Jehovah’s forgiveness by choosing to be forgiving toward one another whenever there is a basis for doing so.
Being forgiving does not mean that we condone offenses or allow others to take unfair advantage of us. No. It basically means that we choose to let go of resentment. Significantly, though, in order to be forgiven by God, we must imitate Jehovah’s forgiveness in our dealings with others.

Bible Speaks got a reaction from b4ucuhear in THEY PRAISE PEACE BUT GLORIFYING WAR. (WORLD WAR II)
THEY PRAISE PEACE BUT GLORIFYING WAR. (WORLD WAR II) Some History for you to know about.....
FRANKFURT on MAIN, Germany, September 24. The German PROTESTANT and Catholic churches now publish in their magazines extensive exhortations which explains the duties of the soldier who fights in defense of their country and warn the German soldier to fight with the same resolution of San Miguel for a German victory and a just peace.
In Catholic newspapers front-page appears the figure of the Archangel brandishing a sword of war and shifting a dragon with a sacred spear.
In the Catholic dioceses in the West and to the South of Germany, the clergy, headed by bishops and archbishops, is actively busy working for the refugees who have been evacuated from districts that remain on the western border. Many convents have been transformed into hospitals and both monks and nuns are working under the direction of the Red Cross.
The Catholic Bishops of Germany have issued a pastoral letter that says:
"At this crucial hour, we urge our Catholic troops to fulfill their obligation in obedience to the Führer and be willing to sacrifice all personal interest.
"We call to all the faithful so that you join in ardent prayer, so that Divine Providence of the Almighty God leads this war to a blessed success and peace to our fatherland and nation."
In addition, all bishops have sent a special message to their respective dioceses, including the Bishop of Rottenburg in Württemberg, who had been expelled last year from his diocese for having refused to vote in a national election call socialist.
Cardinal Archbishop Bertram, head of the German episcopal congregation, issued a patriotic message similar to his faithful, urging them to "everyone who trusts in God Almighty is strong heart". Awake 1985, Dec. 22, Page 5.
