Bible Speaks got a reaction from ARchiv@L in "See Yourself When All Is New" #139
    SONG 139
See Yourself When All Is New
    (Revelation 21:1-5)
    * 1.Just see yourself, just see me too; Just see us all in a world that is new. Think how you’ll feel, how it will be, To live in peace, to be truly free. No evil one will then prevail; Rule by our God cannot ever fail. The time will have come for a new earthly start, The song of our praises will pour out from our heart:
(CHORUS) “We thank you, our God, for all you have done. All things are new by the rule of your Son. The fullness of our heart overflows in our song; All glory and honor and praise to you belong.”

    * 2.Now see yourself, and see me too; And look ahead to a world that is new. No sight we see, no sound we hear Will cause alarm or give rise to fear. All has come true, just as he said; Now over mankind, his tent is spread. He now will awaken those sleeping in death; Their voices will join ours with ev’ry grateful breath:
(CHORUS) “We thank you, our God, for all you have done. All things are new by the rule of your Son. The fullness of our heart overflows in our song; All glory and honor and praise to you belong.”

I agree with this, too. But this also could mean that all persons who burn fossil fuels, drive a car, use fuel-based electricity, fly in a plane, take a cruise, etc., are all ruining the earth.
Of course the answer we expect to satisfy us is that we are more reasonable in the way we ruin the environment. That we are not like the big energy companies that take these fuels out of the ground for us. So this means, therefore, that as long as we only participate in ruining the earth, that we aren't going to be brought to ruin. I don't see many of us (or any of us) shouting this particular warning from the housetops to everyone who is ruining the earth. Most religions are silent about this particular warning, or even become complicit in the the politically expedient idea that politics trumps science on this subject. It's "politically correct" to be weak and hide from this problem.
(Surprisingly, one of the biggest factors ruining the earth is the "Western" version of suburbs, in spite of the fact that this appears to make more of the earth look like thousands of little parks.)

Bible Speaks got a reaction from Carol Ann Torres in "In Jehovah the God of Israel he trusted."
"In Jehovah the God of Israel he trusted." (2 Ki. 18:5)
King Sennacherib of Assyria sent his representatives—including Rabshakeh—to Jerusalem along with a heavy military force. King Hezekiah of Judah went to the house of Jehovah and began praying: “O Jehovah our God, save us, please, out of his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that you, O Jehovah, are God alone.” (2 Ki. 19:14-19)
Hezekiah acted in harmony with his prayer. Even before going up to the temple to pray, he instructed the people not to respond to Rabshakeh’s taunts. Hezekiah also sent a delegation to Isaiah the prophet, seeking his advice. (2 Ki. 18:36; 19:1, 2)
Hezekiah took steps that he could rightly take. He did not try to seek support from Egypt or from neighboring nations. Rather than lean upon his own understanding, Hezekiah trusted in Jehovah. After Jehovah’s angel struck down 185,000 of Sennacherib’s men, Sennacherib “pulled away” and returned to Nineveh.

Give Comfort to Those Who Grieve - Their Cry He Will Hear! ~
(Psalm 145:19) "The desire of those fearing him he will perform, And their cry for help he will hear, and he will save them."
    (Psalm) 145:19) NWT 2013
"He satisfies the desire of those who fear him; He hears their cry for help, and he rescues them."
    With the Comfort God Gives
When we seek to comfort others, words of sympathy are certainly in order. We endeavor to convey to the grieving person by word and tone of voice that we deeply care about his situation. This is not accomplished by the use of hollow platitudes.
The Bible tells us that “through our endurance and through the comfort from the Scriptures we might have hope.” (Romans 15:4)

    "The Golden Rule"
“All things, therefore, that you want men to do to you, you also must likewise do to them.” (Matthew 7:12)
YES, the Originator of what Jesus taught, including what came to be known as the Golden Rule, is the one who sent Jesus, namely, the Creator, Jehovah God.
God originally purposed that all mankind treat one another as they would like to be treated. He set the finest example in expressing care for the welfare of others in the way he created humans: “God proceeded to create the man in his image, in God’s image he created him; male and female he created them.” (Genesis 1:27)
This means that God lovingly endowed humans with a measure of his own outstanding qualities so that they could enjoy life in peace, happiness, and harmony—potentially forever. Their God-given conscience, when properly trained, would guide them to treat others the way they themselves would want to be treated.

    .......earth-wide pollution.......
(Revelation 11:18) 18 But the nations became wrathful, and your own wrath came, and the appointed time came for the dead to be judged and to reward your slaves the prophets and the holy ones and those fearing your name, the small and the great, and to bring to ruin those ruining the earth.”
Pollution is one form of how man is ruining the earth
.........climate change can come under this category of ruining the earth as well, also alleged to increase forces of devastating hurricanes.....

Bible Speaks got a reaction from Carol Ann Torres in One Day Soon It Will Come! - It's TIME The Lord Will Cry Out! Are YOU Ready?
“Now Is the Especially         Acceptable Time”

“Look! Now is the especially acceptable time. Look! Nowis the day of salvation.”—2 COR. 6:2.
Paul recognized the significance of the timein which he lived. He said: “Look! Nowis the especially acceptable time. Look! Now is the day of salvation.” (2 Cor. 6:2)
The majority of mankind, blinded by Satan, are still alienated from God and ignorant of the purpose of God’s undeserved kindness. (2 Cor. 4:3, 4;1 John 5:19)
However, worsening world conditions have caused many to respond when shown that alienation from God is at the root of human evil and suffering.
Even in lands where most people have been apathetic about our preaching work, many are nowaccepting the good news and taking action to become reconciled to God.
Do we, then, appreciate that this is thetime for us to apply ourselves even more zealously to sounding out the entreaty: “Become reconciled to God”?
Jehovah makes to fortify us spiritually. That means taking seriously our family and congregation worship—being regular in personal and family study, in prayer, and in meeting with our fellow Christians.
That will help us to have the “fire” to sustain the “boiling” that will keep us “aglow with the spirit.”—Read Acts 4:20; 18:25.

Bible Speaks got a reaction from Carol Ann Torres in Do We Have the Mind of Jehovah and of Christ?
“For “who has come to know the mind of Jehovah, so that he may instruct him?” But we do have the mind of Christ.” (1 Cor. 2:16)
We do have the mind of Christ. — 1 Cor. 2:16.
It is good to remember that being whole-souled is not a matter of how much time we spend in the ministry.
Individual circumstances vary. A person who spends just an hour or two in field service each month may be very pleasing to Jehovah if that really is all his health allows him to do. (Compare Mark 12:41-44.)
Hence, to determine what wholesouled service to God means for us personally, we need to make a frank appraisal of our abilities and circumstances.
As followers of Christ, we also want to harmonize our viewpoint with his. (Rom. 15:5)
What did Jesus put foremost in his life? He told the crowds from Capernaum: “I must declare the good news of the kingdom of God, because for this I was sent forth.” (Luke 4: 43; John 18:37)
With Jesus’ zeal for his ministry in mind, evaluate your circumstances to see if you could further expand your ministry. (1 Cor. 11:1)

Sat Feb 11, 2017 | 8:16 AM EST Earthquake in southern Philippines kills four, damages infrastructure
4h ago | 01:16 Powerful quake kills at least six in southern Philippines (Reuters) - Four people died and more than 100 were injured after a powerful earthquake struck the island of Mindanao in the southern Philippines late Friday, damaging some structures and cutting power in many areas, local officials said.
The 6.7 earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 km and the epicenter was about 13 km east of the city of Surigao, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center of the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said there was no tsunami threat from the earthquake.
Renato Solidum, head of the Philippines' seismic agency, said on radio on Saturday morning 89 aftershocks had been recorded and more could be expected but they were unlikely to cause significant damage.
Friday's quake was the strongest since the city was rocked by a 6.9 quake in 1879, Solidum said.
People rushed to open spaces and spent the night in parks and shelter areas, according to radio reports.
