Seizure of property of Jehovah's witnesses worth $ 15.5 million appealed.
Yes. Petersburg, January 17 (Rapsi, Mikhail Telekhov) - a decision to confiscate property worth 881.5 million rubles ($ 15.5 million) belonging to the Jehovah's witness organization banned in Russia has been appealed, The Press Office of st. Petersburg courts has told rapsi.
The appeal was filed by watch tower Bible and tract society of Pennsylvania registered in the United States.
According to prosecutors, the property of Jehovah's witnesses includes 16 property elements in st. Petersburg.
A court found earlier that the administrative center of Jehovah's witnesses transferred its complex to watch tower Bible and tract society of Pennsylvania under a donation agreement on March 1, 2000. However, the court declared fraudulent treatment because Jehovah's witnesses continued to use property after transfer to the foreign organization, and confiscated the property complex for the benefit of the Russian Federation.
In April 2017, the Russian Supreme Court ordered the liquidation of the Jehovah's witnesses organization and all its 395 local branches. In August, the administrative center of Jehovah's witnesses was added to the list of prohibited extremist organizations.
The religious organization of Jehovah's witnesses has had many legal problems in Russia. Since 2009, 95 materials distributed by the organization in the country have been declared extremists and 8 branches of Jehovah's witnesses have been liquidated, according to the ministry of justice.
Jehovah's witnesses is an international religious organization based in Brooklyn, New York. Since 2004, several branches and chapters of the organization were banned and closed in several regions of Russia.

What did Jesus look like? ~ ?
Today the misrepresentation of Jesus continues. Most people picture Jesus as a babe in a manger or as a tragic figure nailed to a cross, with his face distorted in agony under a crown of thorns.
Christendom’s clergy have encouraged such views. They have failed to present Jesus as the mighty heavenly King with whom nations will have an accounting.
When human rulers confront the exalted Jesus in the near future, they will have to deal with a Messiah who has ‘all authority in heaven and on the earth’!—Matthew 28:18. - Bible Speaks

Why the Tendency to Lie? The fact that “the whole world” lies in the power of Satan tells us why many people lie.
    ??
But we might ask, ‘Why did Satan, “the father of the lie,” do so?’ Satan knew that Jehovah is the rightful Sovereign of all that He has created, including the first human pair. Yet, Satan desired for himself this lofty and unique position, something to which he was not entitled. Out of greed and selfish ambition, he schemed to usurp Jehovah’s place. To achieve this, Satan resorted to lies and deceit. (1 Timothy 3:6) - Bible Speaks

A woman went into her kitchen to find a burglar loaded down with a bunch of stuff he was stealing from her kitchen. Not having any kind of weapon to scare him off, she raised her hand and said "Acts 2:38," and proceeded to quote scripture.
The burglar froze in place and didn't move. The woman called 911; the police arrived and were amazed to find the burglar still frozen where he stood. "What did you say to him that kept him from moving?" they asked the woman.
She told them that she had simply said Acts 2:38 and quoted scripture.
The police chuckled and escorted the burglar out to the patrol car. "Why did the woman's quoting scripture scare you so much?" they asked. "Scripture?" said the burglar, "I thought she said she had an ax and two 38's! (Acts 2:38)

13 Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan River. He came to John to be baptised by him.
14 John tried to stop him. He said, `I need to be baptised by you. Why do you come to me to be baptised?'
15 But Jesus answered, `Please do it now. In this way we shall do all that is right.' Then John let him be baptised.
16 After Jesus was baptised, he came up out of the water right away. The sky opened. He saw the Spirit of God coming down on him like a dove.
17 A voice from the sky said, `This is my dear Son. I am very pleased with him.'
