"Our main purpose is not to convert, but to give people the opportunity to see what the Bible says," said Bryce Hemmelgarn, a spokesman for Jehovah's Witnesses.
The new world headquarters, which opened last year, houses approximately 800 Jehovah's Witnesses, who are volunteers who live, eat and work here.
"I work here during the day, but most people work from 8 to 5, too, I can go shopping on weekends if I want," said Iliana Markopoulos, 25, a computer programmer for the organization. "I can do what any normal person can do, I just have the great opportunity to live and work very close to each other."
"It is primarily a religion, it is our faith, we identify ourselves as Christians, we hope that Jesus will establish the pattern as his form of worship," said Hemmelgarn.
The main difference is that they believe that Jehovah is the Name of their God and Creator. It's also the way they reach out, knocking on doors and talking to anyone who wants to listen.
Brooklyn was its base of operations for more than 100 years; 60 of those years inside the emblematic building of the Watchtower in Brooklyn Heights. When they arrived in Warwick to build, the group tried to impact as little as possible in the natural environment.
"We planted green roofs in each of our buildings, we implemented rainwater and stormwater control to eliminate or conserve the amount of runoff from the rain that would affect the environment," said Ted Hoffman, facility manager. "We install lighting controls, controls that also manage the amount of water we use."
In their new home, Jehovah's Witnesses plan to continue spreading their beliefs and encouraging others to understand their religion a little better. Around 8 million people practice religion around the world.

Supreme Court plenary issued a ruling ordering the courts to deprive people of their paternity rights, involving children in prostitution and vagrancy, hinder their apprenticeship, as well as declining to participate in the work of organizations and damages and prohibited, including religious ones.
It includes "the participation of [children] in the activities of a public or religious association or other organization for which there is a legally binding decision of the court to liquidate or prohibit activities," the resolution says. Thank you for your comment. Perhaps in some lands it is widespread part of their heritage? The scripture that comes to my mind is:
Christian Counsel on Personal Adornment. Jesus and his apostles counseled constantly against putting trust in physical things and putting on a false show by means of material adornment. The apostle Paul said that Christian women should “adorn themselves in well-arranged dress, with modesty and soundness of mind, not with styles of hair braiding and gold or pearls or very expensive garb.” (1Ti 2:9) During the days of the apostles it was a custom among women in that world of Greek culture to go in for elaborate coiffures and other adornment. How appropriate, therefore, is Peter’s counsel to women in the Christian congregation not to put emphasis on ‘the externalbraiding of the hair and the putting on of gold ornaments or the wearing of outer garments’ but to let their adornment be, as with the faithful women of old, “the secret person of the heart in the incorruptible apparel of the quiet and mild spirit”!—1Pe 3:3-5.

True, one day we might not even have shoes ? walking into the new world, never mind jewelry! What we value the most becomes us! To me I would rather have no jewelry and stay alive if I need to run. However to me, diamonds ? I have but hardly ever wear. What we value we become. To be modest in Jehovah’s eyes is more important. All the gold is Jehovah’s all the diamonds ? are His!  My life is more important than jewels or gold. Now that is more precious is it not? Showing our gold or silver or making a showy display is not what we need to cultivate. Be grounded to the earth, Jehovah and his Blessings if it’s His will that’s what will keep us alive!

I remember some counsel related to cartilage piercing a number of years back. At that time it was just getting started and now I see more and more sisters getting their ears pierced on the top and such. Have not heard any talks about that in a number of years. Sisters are still doing it and going out in service and such. Seems to have public acceptance. At least in this area. 
Same was done with ankle bracelets. Recall a talk about why sisters should avoid that. After a circuit overseers wife wore one that was the last I heard against it. 
Mainly brothers trying to impose their own fashion taste. Brothers just need to constantly be reminded that they are not the the masters of our fate as one circuit overseer phrased it.

A loving loyal bond grew between these two who lived as Jewish exiles. Esther proved to be humble, obedient, courageous. The Bible describes her as “pretty in form beautiful in appearance” (Esther 2:7).

Even when she out of his sight of her cousin, she still showed the same wise obedient spirit!

Many Woman Worry Today They Are Not Beautiful Enough!

Many women have beauty but not Jehovah! Some are not humbled if they are beautiful, they become haughty! 
Some are like Queen Esther ?? who had it all and a Love ?? for Jehovah and His People.

They say beauty is only skin deep! Yes, Godly wisdom and Love of Jehovah are forever and that's what truly matters!

Jehovah’s purpose to clear his name by means of his Kingdom is the main theme of the Bible. That theme is emphasized in the book of Ezekiel, which repeatedly states that “the nations will have to know that I am Jehovah.” (Ezekiel 36:23; 37:28; 38:23; 39:7) Notice that the nations will not choose whether to know that he is Jehovah or not. Rather, they “will have to know.” In other words, Jehovah purposes to take action that will compel the nations on earth to recognize that he is who he says he is—Jehovah, the Sovereign Lord, whose name stands for all that is holy, pure, and clean.
The oft repeated promise “the nations will have to know that I am Jehovah” is good news for those who long to see the end of injustice and suffering. Jehovahwill soon fulfill that promise and clear his name of all reproach. He will eliminate wickedness and those who promote it but will preserve alive those who recognize and respect his name and what it stands for. (Proverbs 18:10) Are you moved to learn how you can draw closer to Jehovah, the holy God, who is “a lover of justice”?—Psalm 37:9-11, 28.

You are absolutely correct JP .... the blood is Jehovah' s ... and when a life is extinguished, in battle, self defense, or for food ( most people, even Jehovah's Witnesses, are completely unaware that Jehovah NEVER make the slightest prohibition against cannibalism, although he DID lament that people's lives would become that desperate ...)
When as a child I had my tonsils removed, I swallowed a LOT of blood ... and later, in fights I had my nose smashed, and some of that blood I swallowed. Does this blood have any sacred value?  Should it be held against me that I "ate" this blood? 
BEFORE an animal is killed the blood does belong to God. Why? Because he has made that crystal clear throughout the scriptures.
The question is this .... and although I recognize the principle profoundly, I am going to personally perhaps err on the side of caution ...if the animal does NOT DIE .... does that blood have any sacred value? 
If the ancient Jewish Priests  offered the blood on the alter to Jehovah God from an animal that was only wounded ... would God have accepted that offering?  
My guess would be no.
Jesus' blood redeemed all of mankind putting faith in the VALUE of that blood.  TWO THINGS had to happen: 1.) Jesus had to willingly be sacrificed, and  2.) His DEATH had to have shed blood, poured out on our behalf. 
If he had not actually DIED, the blood would have only been a First-Aid problem.
For blood to represent LIFE .... it actually has to represent an actual real life.
If I am wrong, please show me directly from the Bible, and Bible principles, and common sense ... where my thinking got fouled up.
Meantime, it is not the problem it once was during the JW "early years when we respected Jehovah enough to die for what we knew to be true about blood ... the Governing Body, on the advice of the Society's Lawyers and investment counselors, and accountants ...  has ruled that we can take 99% or so of all blood FRACTIONS, to avoid being sued out of existence.
For monetary concerns, "New Light" is being fueled by advice from the Society's Lawyers and Accountants, which fill many buildings at Warwick Bethel.
Here is a main point:  Whatever the case REALLY is .... and I am wrestling with that now to try and have a correct understanding ... down here on Planet Earth it "translates" as:
If we put those "allowable" human blood fractions into our body as whole blood, we will be disfellowshipped ...... if we If we put those "allowable" human blood fractions into our body as whole blood FRACTIONS, we will not be disfellowshipped.
With a roll of plastic tubing ... we can have it BOTH ways.
 
 

Before Jesus gave his life as a solution, the blood was also sacred. It is only because of the holiness of the blood that Jehovah could use Jesus' blood as a solution. Long time before ... So completely back from Adam and Eve, the blood was holy .. It's not something it has become because of Jesus' sacrifice ..
