It must also be remembered that , following a thorough discussion of spiritual food, it always becomes a matter of what they ate.

The key to understanding anything ... is CONTEXT!
In context, what is being said is "If you are invited in as a guest, and shown hospitality ... do NOT go shopping around for better food and accommodations".
It is as simple as that.
    CONTEXT.... IS everything!
Your mind is clouded by your agenda.
"Quote Mining", however should not be a capital offense.
    ....for the first one.

Matt 10:11 – NWT, “search out”
    For a more rounded meaning:
“And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, enquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence”  Does this support going “house to house”?
    exetasate exetasate G1833 vm Aor Act 2 Pl OUT-INTERROGATE inquire-ye !
ἐξετάζω exetázō, ex-et-ad'-zo; from G1537 and ἐτάζω etázō (to examine); to test thoroughly (by questions), i.e. ascertain or interrogate:—ask, enquire, search.
Luke 9:4 – “And whatsoever house ye enter into, there abide, and thence depart.”
    menete menete G3306 vm Pres Act 2 Pl BE-YE-REMAINING be-ye-remaining !
μένω ménō, men'-o; a primary verb; to stay (in a given place, state, relation or expectancy):—abide, continue, dwell, endure, be present, remain, stand, tarry (for), × thine own.
Luke 10:7 – “And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the labourer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house.”
Upon entering the city or town, Jesus directed them to “ascertain”, through questions, which house may offer an invitation for them to remain/dwell.
Tell me, how do any of the scriptures that you quote, support going “house to house” – house over house, door to door, as JWs have been doing for years?  And in doing so, keeping a log of each individual who was ‘accepting’; even the names of their animals, kids, etc., which they have come under fire for, in other countries?
What do you think Jesus meant by saying, “go not from house to house”?

I've been taking some time off as I needed to do a lot of traveling in the last few weeks, and this will continue for another week or so. But I did notice this comment and wanted to say that I understand what you mean here and have no problem with it. I do not have a problem with this method, per se, and I do not have a problem with most of the conclusions you draw. That includes the points you you have made in this topic. I agree with you. I tend to spend more time on those conclusions you have drawn from evidence that often is directly at odds with your conclusions. This probably leads some people to get the impression that I disagree with more of your conclusions than I agree with. I'm sure we are actually more in agreement than in disagreement, on most topics.
On this topic, I agree with most of what you said, and I see that most of the participants have also made good points even where I might disagree with some of the overall conclusions. The topic took and interesting turn. I have enjoyed reading it.

Be careful with this verse, Mark 16:15. There is a very big reason as to why such a verse is removed from most other translations of the bible, or as for Mark 16 itself, Mark 16:9-20 is considered to be not authentic and or uninspired vs. that of Mark 16:1-8 being correct.
I said something similar to Witness regarding his other post when his answer was that the bible was inspired, when the reality is, most Christians are not aware of Textual Criticism of some verses for not being authentic or God inspired, forged/changed made by men, or not present in the oldest and most reliable source which are the 4th century manuscripts.

Other then that, the other verses you said are correct and true.

Couldn't agree more with your view here. Sadly it is NOT the view of the wt. They came out after the ARC and stated that they will NOT be changing the two witness rule no matter who says what. Pedo's don't normally invite a viewing party. This is the loophole that, maybe wasn't designed for this, is the perfect avenue for repeat abuse. The octo-popes of wt know this, but refuse to change for some reason.
oh I am not ignoring this point, but rather magnifying it. You are correct that an abuser uses clever ways of carrying out the abuse, but why make it eaiser? Why give them a loophole?

They've admitted that they will NOT change their stance. Maybe they did learn, but they refuse to put it into practice.
agreed, and it should be done with qualified persons. Elders are not qualified, yet. I hope that one day there IS a training curriculum for them to be able to be qualified.

Thank you for your thoughts and giving me, and the rest of us, a glimpse of your part of the world and its own view on things. I truly appreciate your contributions to this and other threads. To see an outsiders view, from a place where corruption is partly normal (isn't it everywhere on some scale), is refreshing. I agree with most of what you wrote and my only point in this whole thread is that the wt CAN make a difference. They CAN educate the elders, they CAN inform the police and they CAN make this official policy. They can do this without anything more than dropping their pride and accepting help in making it a reality. Obviously they cannot do it on their own, or they would have. Since they boast about the worldwide brotherhood adhering to the same teachings, they can make the necessary changes to at the least prevent ONE child from abuse. They can do that, they just refuse.

AllenSmith reacted to Witness in Detailed Analysis of JW Statistics from Watchtower Reports
Watchtower 14/5/15 pg 26-30    "There has been remarkable growth in the number of GodÂ’s servants because Jehovah himself is backing his Witnesses. (Read Isaiah 43:10-12.) This increase was foretold in these prophetic words: “The little one will become a thousand and the small one a mighty nation. I myself, Jehovah, will speed it up in its own time.” (Isa. 60:22) At one time, the anointed remnant were like “the little one,” but their number grew as other spiritual Israelites were brought into GodÂ’s organization. (Gal. 6:16) Because of JehovahÂ’s blessing over the years, the increase continues with the gathering of the great crowd."

Did you happen to forget where you are here? I thought we were on a forum about THE WATCHTOWER and Jehovah's witnesses. That being said, I think it is very appropriate to make such comments directly about the wt and single them out of the list the ARC provided.  The issue is the way the wt handles these types of abuse cases. OK,ok,ok I'm sure you're better, have the biggest, fastest car with the nicest house or whatever, it doesn't mean I haven't read and watched the same ARC proceedings. Statistics are one thing, but as you will note JTR's post above, it means nothing if it is not relevant. What is relevant is the wt's consistency to hide its pedo's like the Catholic Church did.

yes it is , you are correct. It is also a problem that some people and org's turn a blind eye to it or make it easier to continue.

And with this, the wt has said "thank you very much, we'll do things our way anyway."

I see your point, but hopefully you can see mine as well:
If you see a problem, a serious problem at your workplace or neighborhood and it might bring harm to someone, do you just go to the city counsel or state department and speak up there or do you address the issue as it sits in your face? Have you ever heard the term "think globally, act locally" ?  It makes the statement that one must clean their own before tackling the world, and by cleaning our own, each of us, the world naturally gets cleaner.

He did, @Space Merchant You will have to back off on this one.
As soon as the janitor would unlock the doors each morning, he was there with an armload of pamphlets, saving seats for his friends, just like Witnesses do at the Regional.
There was a lot of boring stuff that had nothing to do with Witnesses and he slept through all that, but he came to when they got to the good part.

A disgruntled religious person who sinks this low makes them no different than the people who want to see ALL religions fall and all bibles, no matter the translation be it right or wrong, burned to ash.
Some people nowadays do not know how the law works nor do they know that child abuse is all over the place, not only within religions, but schools, businesses, clubs, sports, etc.
I also, a bit off-topic, find it odd that whenever a woman such acts, they are let off easy compared to a man, someone of race/color and or some religious background.
Sometimes the law can be at fault also when it comes to abuse.

Should I be impressed by your comparison?  Should YOU feel triumphant by your comparison? As I told another JW who compared Wt’s failures as supposedly less than other religious organizations, excusing away Wt’s failed doctrines, as you are now excusing away Wt’s use of money…
… it is by your own admittance that you have brought the “mountainlike organization” down to the level of all other religions. If God were to back this “spirit-directed organization” would there be any comparison? This is a conundrum for JWs, continually weighing in a balance Wt’s failures, or in this case Wt’s visible accomplishments, with those of other false religions/prophets. You are essentially, comparing apples to apples, Satan’s religious empires within the world - with each other.  Thus, can you see, by Wt’s definition of “Babylon the Great”, that Watchtower is included?
However, Revelation’s “Babylon” is a covenant – a promise of death, (Isa 28:15,18) and called a “mother”. (Gal 4:26,24; Rev 17:5)  “She” has many daughters represented physically by those in power; and since end time fulfillment of Revelation concerns God’s anointed ones and companions, “Babylon’s” daughters are the GB, since they rule through the Wild Beast that comes against God’s “saints”.    Rev 13:1,4,7,8,11,14-17
Watchtower can’t have it both ways; being part of the world through its various investments, stocks, money derived from other organizations, implore other countries to come to its aid when facing adversity; and yet, teach its members not to be part of this world.
Hold on to those scriptures you posted  -  John 4:24 (also 21-23) and Acts 17:24 (also 25)

Life is tough .... then you die.
    Journey Lyrics
    "Don't Stop Believin'"

    Just a small town girl
    Livin' in a lonely world
    She took the midnight train
    Goin' anywhere
    Just a city boy
Born and raised in South Detroit
    He took the midnight train
    Goin' anywhere

A singer in a smokey room
The smell of wine and cheap perfume
For a smile they can share the night
It goes on and on, and on, and on

    Strangers waiting
    Up and down the boulevard
    Their shadows searching
    In the night
    Streetlight people
    Livin' just to find emotion
    Hidin' somewhere in the night

Workin' hard to get my fill
    Everybody wants a thrill
Payin' anything to roll the dice
    Just one more time
    Some will win
    Some will lose
Some were born to sing the blues
    Oh, the movie never ends
It goes on and on, and on, and on

    Strangers waiting
    Up and down the boulevard
    Their shadows searching
    In the night
    Streetlight people
    Livin' just to find emotion
    Hidin' somewhere in the night

    [Instrumental interlude]

    Don't stop believin'
    Hold on to that feelin'
    Streetlight people
    Don't stop believin'
    Hold on
    Streetlight people
    Don't stop believin'
    Hold on to that feelin'
    Streetlight people

Due process at one time was binding a witch suspect with ropes and dropping her into a full horse trough.
If she sank she was innocent.
If she floated she was guilty.
Remember, at the height of the Nazi plague on the Earth, they had a fully staffed "Department of Justice" and death warrants were signed, sealed delivered and executed with all due process.

No argument with this. It might be good to acknowledge this more frequently than is done.
Nonetheless, it is a bit like you hire a worker to reroof your house and he paints the house instead. Even though it did need painting, you are not happy. If he had painted in addition to reroofing, you would have been thrilled. But he painted instead of.
So it is with preaching good news and charitible works. Preaching always has the priority. See, for example, Matthew 9:35:
And Jesus set out on a tour of all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the good news of the Kingdom and curing every sort of disease and every sort of infirmity.

Well the way you were throwing your rocks into the lake, so to speak, that seem to be a case since you began pushing out claims resulting in writing checks you can't cash.
In addition to that, no one said Jesus wasn't into charity, as Christians, we are to be open and willing in giving/receiving, whether we have the means to do it or not for we we have such choices to do so because we have free will, for God has given this to us, examples being helping out with something, donating to a church-only charity and or outside charities, buying resources for members of your church who are in need, using money to go help out in disaster hit areas.
This one would will probably rustle your jimmies since you are a contributor to Christian Infighting and don't like JWs, but a JW in CSE community has donated a bit of his money to help out a teenager named Anthony Borges, perhaps if you read what took place in parkland Florida just a couple of days ago, you would know who this individual is, 15 year old, taking 5 bullets to protect 20 of his classmates from a gunmen and thanks to his actions no one else was harmed; he survived, said to be in critical condition, but the good news is that he is in stable condition, as of yesterday.
But yeah, Christians should open to be charitable, for one shouldn't judge a person and or group for their choice in this regard.
Now then, yes, Jesus Christ is someone who takes no problem with charity, the giving and receiving to others, which is indeed expressing various qualities in doing so, HOWEVER, he was not a fan of buying/selling within the church, be it for a charity,  for the church, for the pastor, or the like, inside the TEMPLE was clearly forbidden. God the Father of the Christ was not a fan of this either. In English, since you didn't get it the first time: Not to make the House (Temple/Church) a place of commerce.
One of the reasons why I also said that: Some Christians will take issue with mainstream Christians who makes the TEMPLE [Church] a place of commerce [BUY/SELL/VENDOR/ETC]
I ask you this question (an obvious example of course): if your church is doing what it is doing by having such take place in a church, or any church for that matter that holds on to this "tradition" as they call it, and Jesus suddenly entered and witnessed what is talking place inside the church other than teaching, how do you think he would response? Or better yet, how would his Father response when he sends an angel to give message to the things he has seen taking place?
But it seems people have to baby you by re-posting scripture of what I said, which is in strong context/and connects with John 2:16 (Read your bible):
