Anna reacted to Many Miles in What is our scriptural basis for refusing transfusion of products rendered from blood?
    Anna,
I'll say the same thing to you that district and circuit overseers have said to me, and at least one who used to be at Bethel, lyman Swingle. It's brave of you to openly state what needs stating. Of course we all know our Master, the Christ, did  this. He was disfellowshipped the old fashion way for doing it. But he spoke what needed to be said nevertheless. None of use are greater than our Master.
Given the above, I'm not expecting more in the way of response. I will say that I agree with you that the whole thing should be left to each person's conscience. If folks want to believe something is of the Bible that they can't prove true from the Bible, well that's their business. But these should never take it upon themselves to force that view onto others without being able to prove the position true to he extent they want to enforce it.
As for dangers of blood transfusion, yes there are dangers. But there is such a thing as bleeding to death. That's real! Very real! In medical cases of severe anemia often the only thing that will prevent death is transfusion of packed red cells. In my case, I'd only accept transfusion of a product rendered from blood if that was the best available option.

Many Miles I am genuinely with hand on my heart so sorry for your pain. no words will extinguish the guilt you feel….personally I do not see that you should think you have any..
I dont know how many babies you lost in this way..or why this happened.
in my books the blood issue needs to be respected…and you helped some parents when they needed that. You were a pillar of strength. It’s a massive emotional and spiritual burden to take on and you did it in good faith at the time.
I dont know your story thus why you no longer have the same belief as us anymore concerning it.
I sighed loudly when I read your post and thought…what has he been thru.
I have been on line for..oh well…ever so long …and heard many sad stories and I can honestly say…my story has been the saddest of all I have read…..I too wish I could turn back the clock and avoid what lay ahead…but alas..it has only been the internet that uncovered many things for me……………..and Franz’s book made me stronger….NOT weaker in our faith.
Dont let the King Sauls and Korah’s or the JUDAS LIKE brothers force you out.
I hope you find a little scrap of peace brother. I’m barely hanging on but soon this will all be over with and I don’t want to be known by Jehovah for hurting my brothers and sisters……….I write this with much grief xx

On the ward and in medical institutions a blood transfusion is considered as dangerous and a organ donation/placement/ transplant
A accredited medical person must start the delivery and stay by their side taking all their observations every ten minutes for an hour…then every 15 minutes then every half hour …then hourly.
I was not born into our faith, I was an adult and worked in the medical field so it was a subject I had to make sure of. Scripturally I don’t understand why anyone cannot understand there is no difference as to eating the blood and being fed the blood via a tube…..you are being FED blood via a tube….this does not require a scientific explanation..it is common sense…
If everyone understood as to who gave their blood and the incredible amount of parasites and bacteria that are not screened for you wouldn’t ever want one.A Erica s should be especially wary of this, your screening is terrible as are your sources of blood.
Jehovah claims the blood and we need to respect the PRINCIPLE  behind it.
He is not fanatical..he knows we consume cooked blood in even the bled meat..but it is honoring him to pour it out onto the land thus giving it back to him,
It’s such a simple thing to understand …It’s the principle We need to observe……he even forgave those who did not follow his instructions as in King David’s account ….thus persons can and should be forgiven if they are sorry for having a transfusion..
As to fractions..every vaccine and anti venom from snake bite etc has fractions in them.
JWs have the right understanding ..like it or not….as to wether it should be a conscience matter…well I considered that seriously for some time but then that would make fornication  and idol worship a conscience matter…so I had to step back from that reasoning…..
You all do as you want..no skin of my nose…

The premise is that fractions of the 4 major components of blood may be regarded as being no blood. So if someone accepts a transfusion of these fractions it is not regarded as a blood transfusion.
On the other hand  having a transfusion of whole blood or it's 4 major components is considered as breaking God's law and therefore is deemed a disfellowshiping offense, unless the recipient of the transfusion has acted under duress and is repentant.

Boy that brings back some memories! I had more than a few exchanges with Rusky on the subject of blood, fractions, and associated biblical texts, etc. There is so much left unsaid about this issue. Even academic writers usually miss some of the big things. One day. One day.

Anna reacted to Many Miles in Cryosupernatant plasma
Cryosupernatant plasma (also known as cryo-poor plasma, cryoprecipitate depleted [or reduced] plasma) is a product rendered from blood that is left to individual JWs to accept or decline purely as a personal choice.

For whatever reason(s), cryosupernatant plasma has never been mentioned in our publications addressing use of products rendered from blood. This despite cryoprecipitate plasma finding ready reference in the general search bar at jw.org.

Medical use of cryosupernatant plasma is said to have markedly improved medical outcomes for JWs who accept it, and particularly for those suffering from acquired thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP). In this case the use of cryosupernatant is as a plasma exchange. The procedure uses an IV tube placed in a vein to remove blood from a TTP patient. The blood will traverse a cell separator to remove plasma from the blood. The non-plasma part of the blood is saved, and the donated cryosupernatant plasma is added to it (replacing the patient’s own blood plasma). The blood is then put back into the patient’s system through an IV line. This process can take a couple hours, and the plasma replacement therapy will continue daily for days or weeks until symptoms improve.

Because plasma makes up the majority of our circulating blood, as you can imagine, this procedure requires a lot of donated blood plasma.

Recently I have found this blood product cited for therapeutic use at jw.org, but not in the general search engine. To find this reference you have to navigate to the link for Medical Information for Clinicians page and use the search engine there. I’m unsure how long this reference has been there, but it is now.

So, though we don’t find this product on any of our diagrams, it is there, and it can save lives.

Anna got a reaction from Srecko Sostar in Who Really is the Faithful and Discreet Slave? And why did Jesus mention "everyone" in the parable?
Well no, neither do I for the same reasons as you. It is each person's responsibility. I quote that statement by Br. Jackson: “......the Governing Body, which is, may I state, a group, a spiritual group of men who are the guardians of our doctrine, and as guardians of the doctrine, look at things that need to be decided based on our doctrines, which are based on the constitution of the Bible”.
What I understand from from that statement is that the GB's concern is that when Bible truths are disseminated, or when decisions are made by them that these remain faithful to what the scriptures intended, and not that they are taking away the responsibility for this from others. This is confirmed by another statement that Br. Jackson made regarding others, quote:
“Now, the Governing Body realises that if we were to give some direction that is not in harmony with God's word, all of Jehovah's Witnesses worldwide who have the Bible would notice that and they would see that it was wrong direction.  So we have responsibilities as guardians to make sure that everything is scripturally acceptable”.

The commentator may also be attempting to obscure the fact that if you want the same proportional ‘catch’ among Jehovah’s Witnesses that exists among the leaders of some faiths, you must widen the net to include everybody in the faith. Imagine if NCR decided to report on the abuse reported among any Catholics.

You folks are just too ignorant to understand the joke …. or even have a conversation with.
All humor has to have a basis in truth, that’s why you didn’t “get” the nested inference.
“The “universal” plea for help, SOS”, which was instituted in 1905, was changed because the Japanese during WWII were luring American soldiers into ambushes with fake radio “SOS” pleas for help, and it was changed in various theaters of war to “Mullins” because the Japanese had trouble pronouncing the letter “L”, and it was obvious when they made a fake call for help to lure Americans into an ambush, they would use the word “Mullins”, which they would typically mispronounce as “MURRINS”, which was usually discerned to be a fake distress call and a lure to ambush.
In other war theaters and battlefields other distress calls such as “Pan Pan Pan”, and “Mayday Mayday Mayday”, or “TTT” was used.

American made film cameras used to go “click”, and Greek and Japanese film cameras used to go “crick”.
The Japanese cameras had  "JCII" stickers on the bottom,  which stands for "Japan Camera Inspection and Testing Institute." It was a small oval sticker that some Japanese camera manufacturers used to put on their cameras to indicate that the product had passed the quality standards set by the JCII. The JCII ensured that the cameras met certain criteria and were approved for sale in Japan.
The new digital smartphone cameras, all made in China, go “Good job … nice composition”, and send your metadata to Peking.

Well, during the 1970’s millions of highly intelligent people in their hearts believed Kermit the Frog was a real frog, albeit with a hand stuck up his butt.
The word "amphibian" is a Greek word. It comes from the Greek roots "amphi" (meaning "both" or "on both sides") and "bios" (meaning "life"). When parsed, "amphi" refers to living on both hand and water, while "bios" pertains to life. So, "amphibian" literally means "both lives, meaning frogs can live on both water, and on hand.
Like the Japanese, who have trouble pronouncing the letter “L”, over time the expression arose … “ The frog and the hand are ONE.”.

I see you did it again. You didn't even use ellipses to show that you are starting the quote in the middle of a sentence. Many months ago I would give you the benefit of the doubt because it could have merely been a matter of lack of comprehension. But I see you have the ability to go out of your way to be dishonest. For clarity here is the original quote again:
I believe that Jesus and Jehovah are the same in will and purpose. I believe that's what Jesus meant when he said "I and the Father are one." It's what we teach as Jehovah's Witnesses.
What you have done is not much different than someone who would try to say the Watchtower promotes the Trinity doctrine just because the following three quotes are "accurate" in the sense that they are unaltered:
    *** nwtsty Philippians Study Notes—Chapter 2 ***
the phrase “Jesus Christ is Lord” means that he and his Father, Jehovah, are the same person.
*** pm chap. 21 p. 389 par. 53 Theocracy Triumphs over All the Nations ***
at the time of the baptism of Jesus in the year 29 C.E. the name of this Son of God became a ‘substitute or a replacement for Jehovah’ and that Jesus is the same as Jehovah and hence the name Jehovah does not need to be used anymore.
    *** ad p. 894 Jehovah Is Our Righteousness ***
this means that Jesus, the Messiah, and Jehovah are the same, forming one God.
Using quotes like that is dishonest because it leaves out the first part of the quote containing key information showing that the Watchtower actually holds an opposite viewpoint.
If you agree that it would be dishonest to use these quotations the way they are presented above, then you are admitting to being dishonest by doing the something just like it with my quote.

     Phooey!
For the Father judges no one at all, but he has entrusted all the judging to the Son, (John 5:22) Not the same same. Wrong Wrong. because the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a commanding call, with an archangel’s voice and with God’s trumpet, and those who are dead in union with Christ will rise first. (1 Thess 4:16) To claim Jehovah and Jesus are the same is Modalism. God doesn't come with an archangels voice nor with God's trumpet... lol

You are selectively quoting again to make it look like I said the opposite of what was actually said. It's considered dishonest to create a partial quote to make it look like someone said something they didn't. To clarify, I will include the full quote below so that anyone can see what you tried to do.
I assume that you actually believe exactly as I stated that "In will and purpose Jehovah and Jesus are the same." For even more context, read the question in the original post and my FULL response further above.
Please be more careful when quoting persons. This is not the first time you have used quotes from me and distorted their purpose and made them seem like they were saying something quite different from what I actually said. In fact, you misquoted me from this very forum and put it on one of your websites and in a book of yours which is still available online. You used that quote to make it appear I was supporting another theory of yours that turned out to be false.
Please take a lesson from your own false accusation against me. The projection and blame-shifting is very revealing:
I am guessing that all this vitriol and anger and divisiveness and contention on your part are a result of seeing the evidence that your theory was false and that the Watchtower article I quoted was true. If you are angry that the Watchtower rejects your false theory, then please take it up with the Branch, the Writing Department, the Governing Body, the WTBTS, or the CCJW. I think it will only continue to embarrass you if you continue to lash out dishonestly against other persons on this forum.

    @Thinking
Seems that @JW Outsider has echoed the same non sense that oppossers of Jesus Christ have. Many trinitarians have taken the same concept to try to prove that Jesus and God are the same. Remember the quotes @JW Outsider has removed from my quotes?
    I already stated:
However, the reader should note that (theos) in John 1:1c through-out the entire scripture is never described as (theon).
Altering my quotes @JW Insider is not only unethical but dishonest. Something a Jehovah's Witness would not engage in.
