The fact you mention this reminds me of what I made aware of concerning some young people of this generation. There was conservation that Gen Zers will make things problematic in the long run, the majority, can't speak for the minority that had In-House Education. There was a video a girl making a to Crickets (yes insects) to stop bothering her, and she thinks it is bad luck to remove them because the day she did it, more invaded her house. Another, who didn't know how to use a can opener, and spent 45-50 mins trying to open a can then giving up.
The thing is, Higher Education does not teach common sense, or Education that is based In-Home. Let alone finance, for recently, I think Florida is going to add this form of money education into the school system, which is already tainted.
That being said, I myself, is noted as a Millennial, however, granted of my upbringing, learning In-House Education was a primary thing, vastly different from the common Millennial who was raised in an American Household which didn't apply such In-House Education.

It was me. “Change the air on TTH robot tires” sent me into a rage.
I’m not exactly sure what it means, but I didn’t want to miss any possible cause for offense. I worked the phones all evening. Don’t even try to get on social media platforms—I’ve banned you from all of them, even ones you’ve never heard of. Even Elon Musk agrees. You’re lucky the military didn’t descend upon your home.
”Aren’t you furious?” I said to Dimitar over the phone when I read the insult directed his way. “Nah,” he replied, “life is too short [even shorter if the words for him mean anything] You should be more mellow, TrueTom. Chill—like I do.”

And of course, Christendom has Easter eggs, chocolate rabbits, dyed baby chickens, sugar coated marshmallow animals, and lots of sacramental wine!

I would have given a lot to be taught a trade at a younger age. My dad, who was raised on a farm and was reasonably handy, fixing own cars, building additions to the house, never taught or directed me that way. I’m not really sure why. It may be that he bought into the new hoopla that college is the way to go so that you can hire “underlings” to do all those things while you live the life better than that of your parents.. I did not particularly do well in college, having no idea why I was there. The lack of a specific skill caused me difficulties much of my life.
“How come you never taught me how to fix things?” I said to him when he was near 90. “I did,” the amiable fellow replied. “You just weren’t paying attention that day.”

    O.K.
    let’s see ….
In the last two posts, Dmitar had 4-1/2 screens full of words, and JW Insider had 5-1/2 screens full of words.
According to the human nature of probabilities, JW Insider WINS!

I recently had someone try to undermine this is a completely novel way, by claiming that WWI was nothing unique, that many wars in history could be classified as “world wars.” He pointed to a published book to that effect. Remember, he told me, WWI was initially called the Great War, and was only renamed later.
Yeah, when there proved to be a sequel, I replied. That would have been the perfect time to rename it World War VII if there was anything to this theory of yours. I swear, let Jehovah’s Witnesses take a stand on anything and a cottage industry of retro-scholars arises to torpedo it.

TrueTomHarley reacted to Equivocation in VISITING OLD OR SICK ONES THAT YOU KNOW, IN THE CONGREGATION OR NOT.
I do this all the time. It is a Famila thing, well a Latino thing. But visiting tends to be more than just checking up on someone's health but to keep them company, even reaching out if need be. Since I am among the youngest of my family, we've been taught that we jot only respect and honor our elders but to visit and talk with them. My father has taught us this and encourage myself and my relatives to do the same because he wants the family and their inner circle to be well connected. He isn't a fan of how some Families in America operate. So regardless if someone is a brother or not, we make the effort to visit physically or over the phone even run errands if anything. In my case family and friends live in the same area very close.
Also not sure if anyone mentioned this, it is also good to visit even younger ones too because mentally they're fragile.

The only person tough to visit is my other uncle who lives in the middle of nowhere, like Log Cabin life. You can only reach him by phone. This guy jokes that he fights bears lol 😆

What I think is that you should focus on your own spirituality and relationship with God.
I mean, if I were on a boat approaching the falls that I thought would lead to my certain death, as you have said about your present life, I would not be hollering to those on shore that they’re doing things all wrong.

TrueTomHarley reacted to Equivocation in KINGDOM HALLS REOPEN IN UK
@TrueTomHarley 2 Years is a long time lol 😆. But yeah you'll have to ease back into it. Better to do so now because the pandemic isn't over and the states and county can change things up again. The good thing now is Zoom is essentially a great tool if anything like that were to take place as well as an available option to anyone even the elderly.

I wasn’t sure how I would feel about returning to the Hall. I’m starting to get up there in years. Zoom is convenient. You don’t have to travel. You don’t have to worry about the attire of your lower half.
But no sooner did I walk through the door than I knew it was the right move. Our attendance was very solid and enthusiasm ran high. The hybrid Zoom tie-in was seamless.
The speaker read that familiar passage of 2 Timothy 3:1-5. Though he did not dwell on “not open to any agreement,” it resonated with me. There is scarcely any point today, no matter how trivial, that people to not debate over and even argue to the nth degree. I can see why some avoid the news, though I am not one of them. It’s exhausting.
It was so refreshing being in that Hall where not a trace of that contentious spirit was to be found. It is not even that everyone agrees—they just know enough how to yield and not to squabble. Given the state of Covid in our community today, I personally think the strong mask recommendation is a bit dumb. But the majority apparently does not feel that way. I’ve been asked to wear one, so I do. It’s not that big of a deal.
Of course, given the size of the crowd I did begin to think maybe its not such a bad idea after all. I have not been in such close proximity to large groups of people in two years.
I also wasn’t sure how easy it would be to avoid handshakes. I like not having been sick in two years and I had resolved not to do it. But some in-your-face people are very insistent and the alternative elbow bump just seems too stupid to initiate. But it fact, a forearm glance proved pretty easy to do. Some shook hands with others. Some didn’t. It wasn’t any big deal.

Isn’t this true with anything that is challenging? It doesn’t work until it does.  You can avoid the whole problem by doing nothing, but the nature of those “panting on to the end” is they tend to chomp at the bit.
And, no, you don’t get around it by saying we entered our last days with Christ’s resurrection.
I mean, the sun is in it’s last days too. We know it will burn out. But you don’t see warnings over it of how that burnout will come as a thief so we must keep on the watch with vigilance.
Don’t give me grief over this, you crazy woman. I would remind you that the software dishes out ranks and rewards and my rank is higher than yours—to say nothing of that flea-bitten mutt who makes outrageous comments from time to time.

    Yeah, you did. My bad.
But it that case you ought be smart enough not to comment at all, since whatever you have you think leads to death.
It’s rather like Srecko, who plainly admits his latter years and outlook is unhappy. I admire him for the admission, for few people will admit such a thing. But at the same time you would think that realization would check him from spreading the drivel he does as though it were gospel.
At least Witness thinks she will be sitting up high and pretty in heaven. Disquieting though that prospect may be, at least she doesn’t think her present course is leading toward calamity.

I can’t watch this video that Srecko thinks is manna from heaven. The blatant disrespect and stupidity is too much for me. (I would read a transcript, where those qualities might not be so in-your-face.) I got about ten words into it and quit.
How do I know of the disrespect and stupidity if I have not viewed it? These two remarks from ones I respect:
    and
It is sort of like those signs you will see in snooty neighborhoods declaring you must clean up after your dog and then going on to explain why.
As much as I think PSomH is a dodo, I will acknowledge that he retains a respect for God. Indeed, the problem is that he has become so ‘holy’ that he thinks nobody else does.
These critics such as in this video—I’ve read them on exJW forums. I am struck by how there no longer seem to be a spiritual bone in their body. Not only are they contemptuous of any organized worship but they are contemptuous of God. Any of the qualities people treasure about God or explanations of him—even the yo-yos here at least to an extent—mean nothing to them.
They are coiled springs suddenly released that go bounding off euphorically, caring not where they land. Anything is better than the minimal human discipline necessary to cooperation. Now—nobody can tell them what to do!!! They are free!!!!! They have left instructions for their grave markers: “I guess I told off those jerks, didn’t I?!”
It is impossible for me not to think of Peter’s description of animals born naturally to be caught and killed. I mean, their regard for spiritual things, for the concept of God itself, is absolutely zilch,  no more than that of a hyena.

They went through the tests after 1914 to 1919 in fulfillment of bible prophecy - also in 2nd world war - and they have done the work Jehovah gave them - they themselves, as well as WE know they are the slave.  As I asked you before - please tell me any other group that is doing the job Jehovah said would be done earth wide... and feeding a united people the same food ..... world-wide .....and if you can show me this group, I may join you.  But you yourself KNOW there is NO other group doing this work as prophesied in  Matthew 24 :14
It depends what these other anointed are doing.  If they do not want to work together due to imperfection.......and want glory for themselves - then they are not the true wheat.  If this other group of wheat are jealous and are working on their own - then they are NOT true wheat and do not know how to cooperate BUT are wheat who became weeds. The true wheat will form one group and stay united.  These other wheat THEMSELVES decided they are anointed and maybe they were NOT - that is why Jehovah rejected them, like Saul.
So what about Matthew 24:45.......   when was there a slave that could do this work and preach world wide?  Mathew 24:14.... a sign of the last days.  What about the prophecy in Ezekiel which indicates that there will be an administration?
A lot of new brothers and sisters do not know how to preach - so the method they teach us is pretty sound and very good.  I was in publicity most of my life and I think it is pretty good... so that all publishers can have a share.  I DO NOT follow the instructions word by word ...... and I have never been in trouble because of it.  BUT I am sure if you arrogantly preach something that is not in the bible, Jehovah will make sure that it becomes known and you will be corrected.  And if you opt out after being corrected - then I am sure you are too hardnosed to take correction and it is better you do not spread false teachings.  We cannot have a bunch of loose cannons preaching anything they please. There are many who believe they have more spirit than others but this does not mean they do!

My dear you obviously do not know what propaganda is.  They are NOT preaching any misleading political message.  The message that only the kingdom of Jehovah is worthy of our loyalty is accurate according to the bible as is our stance of neutrality. I think you must also not just accuse wildly.....your accusations are all over the place.
