TrueTomHarley got a reaction from Anna in CHINA: Fake News vs. Real News
    Right here:

I’m working up a post on this one. Not quite there yet, but an excerpt is:
It didn’t take long for word to spread about the new UN statue—doesn’t it looks a lot like one of those end-time Bible beasts? "Did they really think that they could put this up without anyone noticing?" said Michael  Snyder, who runs a religious blog.
The statue reminds me of Geoffrey Jackson’s words that, not only does Jehovah do something, but he does it in style. No, not that Jehovah gooses them to erect that statue, or any other. It is a gift from the Mexican government. But it’s like when people do something unknowingly that fits right in to the narrative, almost like one of those hooks in jaws scenarios.
I mean, come on! Here the JW organization has for 80 years identified the UN organization as the wild beast that “was, but is not, and yet is about to ascend out of the abyss,” the wild beast that is the image of the one that “was like a leopard, but its feet were like those of a bear, and its mouth was like a lion’s mouth [which] the dragon gave to the beast its power and its throne and great authority,” the wild beast that draws its power from the seven world powers of Bible history it reflects, the wild beast that through it ALL the (ten) kings of the earth get a temporary crack at world rulership—who can forget that Daniel vision of the beast like a lion with wings of an eagle?—the JW organization puts such identification on the table, and then the UN itself erects a statue as though to say, “Yep—that’s us!” A guy can be forgiven the feeling that someone is manipulating the minions.
Enter Scopes.com, the secular fact-checking site. Scopes.com, who wouldn’t know the significance of a scripture if they choked on one as a chicken bone. Scopes.com, who explains it all away by observing that, yes it is a composite beast, and yes, there are similar beasts in Daniel and Revelation, but this beast says it is good and the beasts of the Bible say they are bad—and besides, the Bible vision is a flying lion, whereas the UN displays a flying jaguar, and don’t those Bible people know the science of zoology? With this bit of secular theology, Snopes figures it has fact-checked the case closed.
    https://www.snopes.com/news/2021/12/14/united-nations-end-times-sculpture/
Don’t get your wild beasts from Snopes, who wouldn’t know a wild beast from a gerbil. Get them from Jehovah’s Witnesses who would and who have written it up here.
    What is Wild beast: https://www.jw.org/en/bible-teachings/questions/scarlet-beast-of-revelation-17/
It’s not enough that the UN erects that swords into plowshares statue from Isaiah and it’s but inspirational sloganeering for them without a prayer of it ever becoming reality and then Jehovah’s Witnesses come along and implement it without fuss?

I am happy that you are asking questions..... but you go out from the premise that the final war of Armageddon will be between Jews and gentiles. Read Revelation 19 and you will see it is a war between Jesus (righteous warfare as he rides a white horse) against all humans who do not accept his governance. There is only two sides: human rulership or Jehovah's  rulership and his moral principles.  These godly principles are the rules on which the new society will be based.
The theme of the bible is the choice which Adam made.  Human self-rulership and human choice of their own morals (good and bad) OR the good and bad prescribed by Jehovah and His kingdom which will restore the world to His original purpose.
Right throughout history there has been all kinds of human rulerships and philosophies which people made up. Jehovah gave a list of the empires that would rule over his covenanted people... one can follow them in Daniel. The seven heads were egypt, assyria, babylon, persia, greece, rome and anglo-american empire - which came out of the little horn which came out of Rome.
These governments come right down to our day.  The trick is to see where revelation takes over from Daniel.   It is quite clear with a little study. Daniel and Ezekiel gives events which will happen in our time as well.  Revelation talks of the beast with the 7 heads (political system) and the image of the beast - which is scarlet and full of blasphemous names.  The Image of the beast will turn against religion (the image in NOT the beast itself but gets life from the seventh head of the beast. )
Unfortunately, witness conflates all these - she is sloppy and not meticulous.  In my study of the other prophecies - they went into fulfillment EXACTLY and meticulously.... I give attention to every word!
I do not pretend to know it all - but I have had a keen interest in these things for quite some time and I am not loved because of this!  However, I am not here to please people...... One must be prepared to be hated by those who have no fear of god but promote their own ideas!

Advice taken - but I have to add.   I usually like to hear people talk about their own experiences - how they fled - how they escaped and why.  Such as Tibetan families, Uyger families who still have families back in China....and women who were picked up by the government - just before their babies were born - babies taken out, sterilized and the women thrown on the side of the road......far away from home.  This is the kind of EXPERIENCES  I have listened to.    I like personal stories.... so one can evaluate all the facts to see if the story is fake or not.
I do not trust any news.  I worked for newspapers and paid for advertisements on TV - I know where their finances come from. Much of the news received large sums from CHINESE cover organizations. At present more than 50 percent of finances for TV stations and other media is coming from pharmaceutical industrial complex as is the FDA and most of the Allopathic health industry.  Money talks.  Hospitals and the entire system have been compromised by money.
The smoking gun for me is the fact that the world-class virologists, excellent heart specialists and other experts,  who know what they are talking about, are being silenced.  One need not have a PHD to figure out that the world around us is a false world created for us by those in power.... and this includes China.  The West is imitating China - as I said on this platform before.

Are you one?….being a witness of the Almighty does not make us push overs..or doormats….I dont join in a lot here because it gets a bit childish ….but do not be mistaken Dmitar….Jesus is the Chief Commander of Jehovahs army…he trained and was with Joshua and Kaleb and their ilk to go in and slaughter men women and children and to do so without any compassion  or sorrow….and he had good reasons for that tough seemingly cruel action….why are YOU here…if you are not JW…do you want to find error with us…..don’t bother….we have a massive amount of errors that have proven to be cruel and ruthless at times……I am not like some here who won’t acknowledge them….but…we also have much love and empathy…and the ONLY people that put Jehovahs name back on high where it belongs…however you want to pronounce it….they/we are also the only people that organized a massive preaching work at much effort and cost to get Jehovahs plan known and the hope out to the nations…..all that even with those massive errors…and just for that one fact alone…he will reward any….ANY…who have tried to do that……….so what is it you want from here….why are you here?

Senate Passes $50 Billion Bill To Combat Chinese Influence By Developing Own Panda
WASHINGTON—Securing a rare bipartisan consensus as both parties acknowledged the growing influence of the nation’s biggest geopolitical rival, the U.S. Senate passed passed a bill Monday allocating $50 billion to compete directly with China by developing pandas on American soil. “If we continue to rely on China for these highly sought-after bears, we may one day wake up and discover we no longer have an adequate supply of giant pandas,” said Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, explaining that if the United States failed to make a substantial investment in its panda infrastructure now, it might find itself forever at the mercy of a powerful Chinese monopoly. “But the days of depending on foreign pandas such as Tian Tian and Mei Xiang will soon be behind us. Over the next decade, our domestic panda program will produce bears that are larger, cuter, and can consume bamboo at twice the rate of their Chinese counterparts. Ask yourself, who should be deciding where these adorable animals are dispatched in nations across the globe? China or the United States? I think the answer is clear, and that’s what this bill represents.” Passage of the bill follows recent intelligence reports indicating China now has the ability, through its panda loan program, to shut down America’s entire network of zoos with a single command from Beijing.

I didn’t know that. The rats. I agree, it makes no sense to muzzle yourself on a mass media platform..
That much research you’ve done deserves a like.
I dunno, though. I did go through the entire video. Blumenthal touched on reports of North Korean defectors. Isn’t that the place where that kid swiped a flag for a souvenir, was sentenced to a million years hard labor, and was shipped back home a bit later as a vegetable? If Zenz (who I had not heard of —thank you for that) has issues that affect his credibility, I’m not sure Max doesn’t as well.

Yes, these claims have also been debunked (IMO). However, getting to the bottom of such claims is a time-consuming process. Also, it is nearly impossible to penetrate through the layers and layers of propaganda that the Western media has flooded us with, especially in Australia and the United States. Even if one could start to be convinced about the outright lies told about Taiwan, and/or a certain tennis player being harrassed by Western media, and/or the Hong Kong riots, for example, there will still be a steady stream of additional claims about people disappearing, organ harvesting, China Sea incursions, Uyghur "concentration camps," water rights in Tibet and India, etc.
Also, the people responsible for decisions at various levels in the Chinese government have undoubtedly done bad things and made bad decisions, imo. So, it's likely that many of these issues are based on actual problems that can then be exaggerated so that persons who want to believe them will do so more easily. As things get worse in the West, people will want (and need) to believe that things must be so much worse in the "East." As Westerners learn about terrible things their own governments are doing, it becomes all the more important to project and amplify the problems of non-Western governments.
As I've said before, to study an issue like this, I first like to see what things that each side will admit is true about the claims of other side. Most "third" sides of an argument are most often merely a compromise between the claims of the two primary sides. This is often just an easy way out that makes the "third" claimant seem more reasonable, but it can merely adds some unwarranted credibility to false claims. And then of course those so-called "more reasonable" claims just get driven right back up to unreasonable levels anyway. Just like the original idea, probably true, that there were thousands of Uyghurs in prison, which then got quickly driven up to a million, then 10 million, then "genocide." (All during the same time period when the population of Uyghurs was still rising in the disputed regions.)
So, in this case we still have primarily two sides:
The claims of Adrien Zenz who claims to be on a Christian apocalyptic mission from God against China et al, and a still very small number of persons who are relatives of (or associated with) persons in the East Turkestan Islamic Movement, the ETIM. The ETIM was listed as a terrorist organization by George W Bush in 2004. Under Trump, Mike Pompeo announced that he was removing them from the list of terrorist organizations. Almost all "documents" have turned out to be sourced from Adrien Zenz, and most "witnesses" claim to have experienced a version of the story given by persons like Tursunay Ziawudun. (The current version of her story, not the original version that she gave when first interviewed.) If one traces down the claims of activists, human rights groups, and China pundits, they will still find that their claims are sourced by these few witnesses, no matter how many additional witnesses are claimed, or how many hundreds of thousands of pages they have supposedly gone through. On the other side, there is China's version of the story and most of the 54 mostly Muslim nations that China invited into the disputed region to show them what was going on. Those nations have expressed agreement with how China has been dealing with the ETIM and related issues. And, of course, there are many who claim to be experts on China who amplify whichever side they agree with on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, etc. Curiously the NYT just did a "hit piece" on Chinese social media account owners who support China's version of the issue. Some of these are English-speaking persons living and working in China. These persons often have their accounts banned and flagged, at least temporarily. Even while trying to get some links for this response, I found that Twitter claimed, for several of these account owners, that the account owners had limited the number of people who could read their posts. That made absolutely no sense, but further reading on the Twitter explanation page showed that it was actually Twitter that was limiting the number of persons who could read certain posts on these accounts. When Twitter says "This account owner limits who can see their Tweets" it's actually a clever way of disingenuously expressing the idea that the account owner is limiting their viewability by not changing their view when Twitter doesn't want those views publicized.
Naturally, I was only hit with Twitter warnings and YouTube warnings when accessing accounts that supported China's version.
    ------------
So what's a person to do? As I said above, I start out accepting what the ETIM supporters admits is true about the claims of China, and accepting what China admits is true about the claims of the ETIM. Since I don't read Chinese (and only one person in my family does) I will have to temporarily settle for online proxies for each side.
One good place to start is the interview of a well-known Uyghur activist who has been viewed by millions, as interviewed by Daniel Dumbrill, an English-speaking man who works in China.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gygxrdNmzUQ&t=1743s
In the interview, the Muslim Uyghur activist obviously supports the goals of the ETIM, but he admits that 5,000 to 10,000 Uyghurs have engaged in and supported terrorism to reach these goals. He has interviewed many of these even in Turkey where he now lives, and admits that thousands of Uyghurs came from many countries, not just China, to fight as terrorists in Syria and elsewhere. He decries the fact that so many of these young men didn't know the first thing about Islam or the Quran, but that they just wanted to fight for Muslim freedom. He indicates that they should have stayed in "East Turkistan" to fight the Chinese.  A few years ago, when I first heard US officials claim that even Chinese persons were there fighting in Syria, I actually didn't believe this was accurate at the time.
The Muslim activist also admits that the many Muslim-majority nations who were invited to China actually did approve of the methods that China used in order to try to de-radicalize Islamic terrorists. (But he also claims that many of these same countries won't even stand up for Palestinian rights, so why should we have expected them to stand up for Uyghur rights.) The Muslim activist says that his own father, a well-known actor in China, had to spend 10 months in the camp, and was released only 17 months prior to this interview in 2020.
There were several more things admitted by him, and several things that would make persons question the accuracy of the accounts and claims of this activist.
But there were also a few things admitted by the interviewer, Daniel Dumbrill, who is also an journalist/activist promoting China's version of the story. He admits, for example, that he himself has heard and interviewed Uyghurs who are racially profiled in various parts of China, and how some travel restrictions have made it more difficult for Uyghurs to travel in and out of the country. And there were several other things that he either admitted or seemed to tacitly agree with as possible or probable.
The video interview I mentioned is below, but the description section also contains a lot of additional information (just below the video) for anyone curious enough to hear Daniel Dumbrill's further research supporting his own side of the issue.

Better throw in a bone for the dog @Pudgy. I mentioned how I would listen to Rush if driving with the car radio, but otherwise no. However, in my janitorial years, which ended well before my retirement, I used to record and play back his show every night. During Clinton’s presidency (and Clinton seems to have been a reasonably sound president, as presidents go) Rush had some impersonator who would adapt Beatles songs and sing in his booming Clintonesque voice, cracking at the peaks. They were sidesplittingly funny:
I’m a real nowhere man, sitting here in Washington, making all my nowhere plans for you, buddy. Don’t care bout you point of view. I know what is best for you….and so forth. (Sung to the tune of Nowhere Man, of course) Pudgy might even be able to recall all the lyrics.
Also for Pudgy: It is Rush that made me realize that my own Dad never cared for politics. On a trip of the three Harley boys—my dad, myself, and my brother—to visit family in Ohio, my brother and I conspired to play Rush when his show came on. It was no more than 10 minutes, if that, then my dad began to grouse about ‘You like that? All that contention and arguing?’
He didn’t care for politics. All these years I had imagined he did, since at family gatherings politics was a frequent topic of discussion. Turned out that my mom’s dad, a staunch conservative, would carry on endlessly about it, and Dad was just too circumspect and amiable to tell his father-in-law to zip it.
Recently, now that Pop has died, I accompanied my brother, who is into ancestry. Believe it or not, he tracked down the grave of my great great great great grandfather. It’s off a dirt road drivable only by serious SUV, which is itself off a dirt road. The tiny gray speck at the focal point of the first pic is my brother’s non-SUV car. We had to walk from there.
I’m getting so I like to tell stories, and I do it right here on the old hen’s website, to reward her for being so indulgent with me.
”Making all my nowhere plans for you, buddy!!” I love how that song ends.

You would think so. That makes perfect sense. But there are so many cases in which academics has been purchased so as support whatever is the preferred view. For every case of academics forming the preferred view, there is another in which the preferred view forms academics. See the response I gave you re Pharma and the Brazilian study that has superseded the doctor-patient relationship. Many maintain that the evolution of college and school curricula is another example in which the preferred view molds academics.
To adapt the words of Yakov Smirnoff and satisfy JWI, is this a great [world] or what that can turn soundness of mind on its head? Nor can we look to “academics” for support on the origin of life. Certainly not with regard to any flood. Nor on the utility of blood transfusion. Apparently not with secular dating chronology. And not in what is called social “science,” even gender “science.” Is the foregoing all examples of Jehovah turning the wisdom of the wise into foolishness?
The earthly organization is not blind to academics but it certainly doesn’t allow itself to be shoved around by it, nor even its hand-in-glove “critical thinking” that is all the rage today, which so manifestly can be hijacked by other interests as to be anything but a reliable guide—something to factor in, but no more.
From Day 1 the organization has run experiences to illustrate whatever point they make that will infuriate academic devotees of “critical thinking” and, truth be told, sometimes even some of us. “Consider Danny,” it will say. “He and his wife decided to put God to the test by doing such and such” and it goes on to relate the successful outcome. It’s a single example. What about Sammy and his wife who also did such and such and it turned out horrendously for them? But in fact, as long as you do not claim it as more “proof” than it is, as long as you do not claim it is guaranteed outcome everyone will experience,, I guess you can reason this way. I mean, everyone else does when trying to motivate you into doing something. College recruiters certainly do. So it’s okay. Very few things can be reduced to simple enough terms so that “academics” or “science” or “critical thinking” can be of overriding use.

Okay, let’s see what @JW Insiderdoes with this one:
A decision of the London Uyghur Tribunal that involves “eighteen months of deliberations, hundreds of thousands of documents, ten thousand hours of background research and scrutiny of 500 witness statements….” concluded that
“…crimes against Humanity attributable to the PRC were established beyond reasonable doubt … through acts of deportation or forcible transfer; imprisonment or other severe deprivation of physical liberty; torture; rape and other sexual violence; enforced sterilization; persecution; enforced disappearance; and other inhumane acts.”
    https://bitterwinter.org/uyghur-tribunal-and-the-verdict-is-genocide/
I’m perfectly willing to accept that the kings of north/south and their allies incessantly slander one another and scheme to bend media to their will. However, the above decision involves 500 witnesses, not the 12 or so sources that JWI has spoken of in the past.
It this tribunal verdict means nothing, then Dmitar is right, even if not for the right reason. Don’t bother trying to figure out anything, for there is no way to know. Just read the Bible.
I mean, if these 500 witnesses can be so readily dismissed, maybe the 500 witnesses to Christ’s resurrection are next. (1 Corinthians 15:6)

Interestingly - much of our modern financial laws - i.e. insurance law is based on very old 'maritime law' and the way people invested and pooled resources at the time.  This is a subject I have not studied in detail, but you will be surprised how many of our laws date from this period. International supply chain laws are all based on ancient maritime law right up to this day!.

I have had no bitterness or railing against the wicked - I just see what is going on. When family members die because they obeyed - then I do have some anger but I accept this is totally Satan's world. I have always had an interest in world history and the genocides which took place before. I see what is awaiting us..... but I do not participate in any politics and I have warned unbelievers which I preach to - to not participate in any activity against the government because Jehovah will soon  sort this out.
I do not like to pretend to be pious or holy for show to my fellow man. However, I do take note of what you are saying.  I am firmly with my feet on the ground....  so far everything I have said has come true... because I have been on this forum much longer than you.   I do not pretend to see in the future but shrewdness (due to my knowledge of history), has indicated to me where we are heading.
Can you explain the lockdowns in Australia and the imprisonment of people who have just been in contact with people for a few seconds who later proved to be positive?  When the German chancellor Ursula van der Leide says that the Nuremburg Code must be abolished - does that tell you anything?  It tells me that the worst government ever on earth is about to take over the planet and that the human suffering will be worse than we imagined.
We really will need Jehovah to step in!  My background is different to yours..... so I do not judge you for not wanting to know what is going on around you.  The work I did early in my life has influenced me to want to look what is going on around me.

To be fair, he just called Bro Rando unfaithful and indiscreet for stipulating this system will go on twenty years, whereas it could end tomorrow.
Oh come sir, I think you’ve picked a poor example. The NYT reads sexual assault everywhere. It is sometimes true and sometimes not.

Oh come sir, I think you’ve picked another poor example. Anything from CNN is.
Isn’t China on the cusp of assimilating Taiwan, a island nation that doesn’t want to be assimilated?
Be that as it may, I can’t picture Bezos or Musk being muzzled as Ma was. You mentioned several posts ago how Trump lost a trade war with China. Other than short term, I wonder if it is possible to lose a trade war with a communist country. Clamp down on a too-audacious businessman and capital flees to where his counterparts won’t be clamped down upon. Alibaba, China’s Amazon counterpart, has lost about 2/3 of its stock value since Ma was reigned in.
And I don’t know what to make of reports that a good percentage of skyscrapers in China have never been occupied. Any edge you can provide on that? It seems crazy and unbelievable. But then, in a command economy where supply can be irrespective of demand, maybe it is not.

Most people are still stuck in the war between the iron and the clay....(the little divisive wars in every country) when their focus should be on the eighth king who will rule for an hour - the scarlet beast (UN) who is the image of the world political system. At least it seems the whole globe  is following the plan or "image" the UN is putting in front of them in a "lockstep" fashion.  193 nations signed the UN Agenda 2030 and WEF trillionaires helping them to accomplish the great (economic) reset. The reset will focus on health and the environment to get us into the digital panopticon. (digital 24/7 total surveillance). To do this they will lock us down for health reasons for our 'own benefit' and environmental reasons because we all will die soon if they do not do this for the collective good of mankind. Yes, the earth is ruined by the very corporations who are now bringing about these oppressive measures which is creating a mass psychosis. Follow the money and the changed word definitions and the changed laws and you will see who is behind this! Already we can see what kind of rulers they will be by the measures that are being taken. Zero outbreaks of this virus is not possible because it is like a cold virus.... yet people who have just been in contact for a second are thrown into a prison for 14 days and it seems the prison guards can keep them there as long as they wish! (australia with austria and germany in lockstep)
Heard this week that they want to abolish the Nuremburg Code!  That gives one a good indication of where we are heading.  The 'false prophet ' in the past pushed democracy like a prophet........ but behind the scenes with the help of leaders such as Kissinger and Klaus Schwab they realized that it is just a matter of  time when stocks will not be able to grow any longer. The system will need an economic overhaul.  They thought: One cannot have more and more consumers on the globe who do not have the skills to provide their part in productive labor...... and stocks cannot grow forever and yield profits for the privileged. They also realized that AI will make many people redundant in jobs such as the medical field, drivers, legal persons and many jobs we thought would always be needed.
Under the great reset we are going into a virtual (metaverse) world where AI will take away these jobs. People will get medical advice online and the right fix on their genes will be loaded down by cell phone. Natural medicine is set to disappear and all medicines will be a form of gene therapy. Although AI does not have compassion - this will be the new enforcers of law.  One can go on and on.  No wonder there is talk of eugenics on the table as many of these leaders are atheist and known to support eugenics.
The good news in all of this:  They were building their Babylonian tower in opposition to Jehovah and would work together for this. Genesis 11:6 Jehovah then said: “Look! They are one people with one language, and this is what they have started to do. Now there is nothing that they may have in mind to do that will be impossible for them.
One digital language has now led to Xenobots made from a conglomeration of parts of cells with synthetic programming on them via CHRPR and given life by a frog cell. If these things get into water and proliferate we can ay good bye to all life on earth which can be crowded out. If they get into a human arteries - we are all dead or mixed with synthetic life.  Jehovah knew that humans without his standards will be up to no good (selfish and egotistical).
As Jehovah did at Babylon - he will step in once again. He will mix up their plans before they have completed it.  Once there is proof beyond reasonable doubt of the extreme suffering and pain that is brought about by the most advanced human rulership - ever!  ..... Jehovah will put in their hearts to turn against religion!  This will create a division in their plans and their oneness of purpose. Their purpose will fall apart in front of their eyes and bring the greatest tribulation ever!
Globalization has linked all the largest corporations on earth.  They are all of them heavily invested in China and Russia too!  So, it is true that they will cry about their money as revelation 18 indicates.
The bible does not lie - if we think about it - it is happening exactly as written! May we inspire others to put their faith in jehovah.
Sidenote: Our brothers will do everything needed to keep producing spiritual food. This is their commission - not to write about politics and divisive things but stick to a positive message. When the time comes that the panopticon wants them to accept worship of transgenderism or transhumanism, then they will refuse.
GB update number 9 indicates that people will be able to attend meetings online when the rest of the brothers return to physical attendance. The article: will life return to normal has this to say:  "What it means for you: People have reacted differently to the pandemic and its consequences. Allow them their opinions, but respectfully stick to the good decisions that you have made. Be considerate of the unvaccinated, the elderly, and those with serious underlying health issues."
This indicates that the GB has a balanced way of viewing this but I have noticed that some brothers promote the jab more than the kingdom message - lol.

This might often be true. But more often it brings a polite "no thank you" from those who don't want to listen. The proportion of countries where there is outright persecution and banning of our work has actually improved. In most countries of the world the reaction to our message is non-violent, even peaceful. And sometimes, it is obviously still quite enthusiastically positive. The 8.6 million plus publishers in 2019 conducted 9.6 million Bible Studies, and 300,000 new ones were baptized. That's nearly a third of a million new persons. And shows that on average there was more than one Bible Study conducted per publisher.
Of course, you picked the numbers from 2020 which dropped from 2019. @Witness already pointed out that they actually dropped .6% (which is based on the average monthly publishers, not just the "peak" which you quoted above). But the bigger drop from 2019 to 2020 was the number of Bible Studies which dropped 20%.
2019: Average Bible Studies * Each Month: 9,618,182 2020: Average Bible Studies * Each Month: 7,705,765 They dropped by nearly TWO MILLION in one year! (Partly because we were asked not to keep studying with persons if there was no apparent progress.) But notice that they weren't replaced by new studies, so that the average is now much less than one Bible Study per publisher.
Also note the number of new ones baptized also dropped by 20%:
2019: Total Number Baptized *: 303,866 2020: Total Number Baptized *: 241,994 And unfortunately, this also means that over 300,000 persons left the Witnesses between 2019 and 2020 for there to still be a decrease even though so many were baptized. Some leave by death or disfellowshipping, but the vast majority of these 300,000 must have decided to leave.
And the 2021 numbers are already in, and the Society was not able to report an increase in publishers this year, except in a few individual branches.
This also means that there is no need for additional congregations, so I'm guessing that the number will continue to remain about the same, or more likely decrease. I wouldn't look for a 20% increase in congregations to 144,000 even though you think that number of congregations is somehow significant. Anecdotally, I already heard about a couple special language congregations (New York and Los Angeles) that are being dropped and reverting to their original congregations.
You are telling people that this system will go on for another 20 years, which is very unfaithful and indiscreet in light of Jesus' warning that the end could come at any time, as if without warning, like a thief in the night.
The response appears to be diminishing, but wasn't your original point about how violent and hostile we can expect the response to be?
There is nothing about this in the Bible. Paul wasn't speaking of an outbreak resulting in a proclamation, he was just agreeing with 2 Peter 3:3 that there have been ridiculers since the first century saying they don't believe this parousia is coming because they can still talk about the relative peace and security that allows them to eat, drink, get married, etc. Adding to the Bible that we should wait for a proclamation by political kings shows a lack of discretion and a lack of discernment. Remember that Jesus, too, spoke of the time coming as a time of relative peace and security when he compared it to a time when you might be asleep in your house, or working in a field, or grinding at a mill, or doing any of the things that people were doing in Noah's day or in Sodom when the end came, essentially without warning.
Just like Jesus, both Paul and Peter added that it would come "as a thief in the night." This way, no one would get the impression that we should look for some "proclamation by political kings" of peace and security. (Nor wait for some specific proclamation by ridiculers that "things are going on [peacefully and securely] just as from creation's beginning.")
For the same reason, there can be no specific time when any of us (GB included) can declare in advance that it is now time for a "final message of divine destruction." That would only show a level of presumptuousness and indiscretion. It would make us wise in our own eyes, and completely unfaithful to Jesus' words that "no one knows the day or the hour" because "it will come as a thief in the night."
Ah! Something we can agree on! 😊

This is the problem with a Mercola and Breggin’s books—their limited perspective. They are both sharply critical of the ‘great reset’ but they lose sight, imo, that a reset truly is needed. It is just that you can’t trust man to do it.
