 Steven Ray Passmore, 64, of Huron, died Thursday, May 19, 2016 at his home.

Memorial Services for Steve will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 2p.m., Wednesday, May 25, 2016. 

He was born Sept. 29, 1951 at Kalispell, Mont., to Howard and Opal (Clark) Passmore.  He lived in Libby, Mont., until 1963, when he moved to Huron with his family. He attended school in Huron, graduating from Huron High School in 1969.

He was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on April 24, 1960. He enjoyed sharing his Bible based hope for the future with his many friends and neighbors.

He worked for his father at Passmore Construction, before starting his own construction business in 1976, which he operated until he and his father opened Passmore Building Center in 1989. In 2001 he opened his own construction business.

He enjoyed working with his son on many projects, teaching him the building trade. Together they enjoyed the satisfaction of a job well done.

He loved people, fishing, motorcycle rides, camping and spending time with his family. He loved a good time and to make people laugh. Steve was a wonderful husband and loving father of his three children.

He is survived by his wife, Gwen; his children: Troy, Lindsey and Alyssa Passmore; his mother, Opal Passmore; his brother Ron (Carol) Passmore, all of Huron; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. 

He is preceded in death by his father Howard Passmore. 

Arrangements are under the care of Welter Funeral Home of Huron.
