Ruby Susanna Roberts, 84, of Cottage Grove passed away July 8, 2016.

She was born June 7, 1932 in Summerfield, Kansas to Arthur and Mabel (Brouhard) Volle.

She graduated in 1950 from Beattie Kansas High School.

On April 16, 1952 in Swiss Home, Oregon, she and Charles Raymond Roberts were married.

Ruby enjoyed garage sales, square dancing, cards and games, card making, canning and food preservation, gardening and couponing. She was a Jehovah’s Witness.

Survivors include her children, Sharon Jensen of Cottage Grove, Scott Roberts of Salem, Ore., Calvin Roberts of Kearney, Nebr., Lester Roberts of Cottage Grove and Brian Roberts of Eugene, 22 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and all eight of her siblings.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 16 at 4 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 78019 S. Sixth St. in Cottage Grove. Private inurnment will take place at Silk Creek Cemetery. Arrangements under the care of Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel, Cottage Grove.
