I was wondering why most of the Quichua People on the photos of a married couple who serve in Ecuador appear with red cheek, so I decided to ask them, I thought it was some kind of makeup, and they told me this:

"Wind and cold chaps and learhers their tender skin and UV rays from sun very intense on the equator so they are frequently sun burned.  So cracked and dry that sometimes fine lines of dried blood rolling down the cheeks.

Cute for fotos but not good for their young tender skin.  We try gifting them suscreen and creams but getting them to us it regularly is a frustratingly slow process."- @ecua_gringo

This is  sad, however this couple is doing a great job helping them in several ways :)
