John Bianco, 59, of Montoursville fell asleep in death on July 29, 2016, at the Gatehouse of Divine Providence Hospital after a 16-year battle with multiple myeloma. He is survived by his dear wife Susan, whom he married on Oct. 6, 1984.
Born Feb. 8, 1957, he was a son of Mario Bianco, of Montoursville and the late Anna Bianco.
Surviving in addition to his wife and father are a brother Michael, of San Jose, CA; his loving in-laws, David and Barbara Halderman, of Montoursville; a group of special first cousins who played an important part in his early youth, Arlene, of San Jose, CA, Marie (Keith), of San Marcos, CA, John (Mary), of Rhode Island and Phyllis, of California; a special group of second cousins who grew up for many years as his peers, including, Billy, Jeff, Gary, Michael, and Mary; and by his good friend Doug, of New York.
John came to North Central Pennsylvania by way of three months consulting job with then Carey-McFall. After being here a couple of months he took notice of Susan who also worked at Carey-McFall. With nothing drawing him back to the New York City area he asked for a job in August and by September was a full-time employee. John expresses his thanks to his family of co-workers at Springs Window Fashions for their support and care.
John was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on March 24, 1984, while attending the Williamsport East Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses and has spent the last 31 years attending the Muncy Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. John had a thirst for accurate Bible knowledge and Jehovah’s Holy Word, and the Bible quenched that thirst. John enjoyed sharing the message of God’s Kingdom with all who would listen, and the role that Jesus Christ, son of Jehovah God, would play in the Kingdom arrangement and many other Bible prophecies. John looked forward to the Kingdom arrangement where Jehovah promises no more sickness and death.
John liked the many physical creations that Jehovah has created such as the oceans where he enjoyed boating the shorelines of Long Island Sound in his younger days and also time spent at Cape May. He loved gathering with family and friends for a nice meal and some good wine. John and Susan enjoyed occasional meals in New York City with their friend Doug who seemed to have access to some of the finest restaurants. John enjoyed going to art museums and viewing the beauty that some humans could bring to the world. Lastly, music is another creation that John enjoyed from the time he was 7 years old. At 13 he would hop the trains and subways and be exposed to some of the best music since most bands of any genre would pass through New York City. Doug would often lead the way to these musical adventures.
A memorial service for John will be held 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 773 Cemetery Road, Williamsport, with Elder Wayne Moyer officiating. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in John’s name to Susquehanna Health Foundation, c/o the Gatehouse, 1001 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701.
Arrangements entrusted to Knight-Confer Funeral Home.
