Sally H. Nightingale

Sally H. Nightingale of Galway, passed away on Friday, August 5, 2016, at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. She was 71.

Born in Rome, NY on March 16, 1945, Sally was daughter of Floyd and Alice (Camp) Houghton. She was married to N. Clifford Nightingale of Troy on February 22, 1964.

She was very active in her community as a volunteer Bible educator with the Mayfield Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Together, she and her husband operated Nightingale's Maple Farm and Nightingale Electric.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years, N. Clifford Nightingale; son, Mark Nightingale of Johnstown and his wife, Amiee; daughter, Susan Davis of Fonda and her husband, Rick; daughter, Melissa Lambert of Conover, NC, and her husband, Justin; son, Eric Nightingale of Galway and his wife, Diane; and daughter, Bonnie Nightingale of Ballston Spa; along with eleven grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Willis Houghton of Florence, SC, Daniel Houghton of El Mirage, AZ, Elaine Gamble of Portland, OR, Betty Boshart of Rome, NY, Carol Parry of Rome, NY, and Barbara Bernard of Phoenix, AZ.

A memorial service will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, August 12, 2016, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 126 S. Kingsboro Avenue, Gloversville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Worldwide Work of Jehovah's Witnesses at www.jw.org.
