A Buddenovsk city court fined the Jehovah's Witnesses organization a half million rubles for distribution of extremist literature.
 
"Extremist literature was seized in the house of worship of the Jehovah's Witnesses, Kingdom Hall, located in Budennovsk and in the home of the leaders of the organization, Alexander Gaponov," a source in law enforcement agencies of the region told Komsomolskaia Pravda in the Northern Caucasus.
 
We recall that this now is not the first incident of seizure of extremist literature from the organization.
 
"Representatives of this pseudo-Christian organization use a variety of techniques to influence the individual in order to get total control over the person," the source noted for KP. "Jehovah's Witnesses preach refusal of civic duties, in particular, service in the army, and they forbid their devotees to have blood transfusions and organ transplants, which has led to several deaths, including children. By psychologically manipulating adherents, they acquire rights to their property for personal enrichment. But the final goal of the Witnesses is the formation of protest groups that negate the constitution and undermine the foundations of the state."

The activity of Jehovah's Witnesses is prohibited in Moscow, Taganrog, Samara, Belgorod, Elista, and Orel. The organization has been ruled by courts of these cities to be extremist.
