WATERTOWN, NY  —  Mary A. LaTray, 89, died Friday afternoon, Dec. 30, 2016, under the care of her family and Hospice of Jefferson County.

Born March 22, 1927 in Watertown, NY, she was the daughter of the late Howard Pierce and the late Elizabeth Lundy Pierce, and graduated from Watertown High School in 1946.

She married Albert W. LaTray on Nov. 12, 1949. Mr. LaTray died Oct. 19, 2005.

Mrs. LaTray was employed with Agriculture Insurance Company and Bowmax, both in Watertown.

She was very active in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness.

Mrs. LaTray enjoyed reading, gardening and spending time with her family.

Survivors include a son, Douglas LaTray, Watertown; a daughter and her husband, Diane and Bruce Eastman, Henderson; five grandchildren, Ryan Eastman, René Hartman, Rachael Bowling, Justin Eastman and Brittany McBride; and five great grandchildren, Alexis Eastman, Alana Eastman, Braden Hartman, Katelyn Hartman and Ella Bowling.

A sister, Hazel and two brothers, George and Arthur, all died in infancy.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 28345 State Route 342, Black River.

A calling hour from 1 to 2 p.m. will be at the Kingdom Hall prior to the service.

Arrangements are with Frederick Bros. Funeral Home, Theresa.

Donations may be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Black River or Hospice of Jefferson County, Watertown.
