HEALDTON - Memorial services for Guawana Sue (Smith) Thompson, 67, of Healdton is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses of Healdton with Bro. Chad Walker officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Alexander Gray Crematory.
Sue was born Aug. 10, 1949, at Newport to the late Manuel Eugene "M.E." Smith and Valeara Lovell (Brewer) Smith. She departed this life Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2017, at Ardmore.
Sue was raised in the Newport area moving to California at the age of 13. There she graduated from high school and worked outside the home doing medical work and some as a nail tech. She moved back to this area in 1986 and worked in the medical field as well. Sue and Terry Dale Thompson were united in marriage on June 5, 1992, at Lone Grove. They made their home in Healdton where they have shared almost 25 wonderful years together. Sue was one of Jehovah's Witnesses attending the Kingdom Hall in Healdton.
Preceding her in death were her parents; brothers, Royce and Scott Smith; infant sister, Joyce; and one grandson.
Survivors include her loving husband, Terry Dale Thompson of the home; son, Richard Charles Horner of Healdton; sisters, Claudette Lang of Ardmore and Janet Smith of Ardmore; brothers, Luther "Chuck" Gaines and wife, Juanita of Oktaha and Ronnie E. Smith and wife, Cherie of Lone Grove; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and numerous other family and friends.
